One of my top 5 bars to go to downtown! Drink prices are higher but the quality is great. Real ginger, refreshing mint, and good flow of alcohol. They also have a good whiskey line up that my bolder drinking friends enjoy! One of my favorite reasons to go is for the staff. They are pretty great, joking along and giving drink recommendations when asked. They also take the time to take care of everyone at the bar, really sweet guys. With cushy leather chairs and outside seating. We love coming here! read more

Great service and a nice laid back place to relax and have a good drink. I've been wanting to hit up Crash for quite some time now. They have a nice little set up and it seems like they have a lot of regulars in there. The drinks are amazing especially the old fashion it's super delicious and made right. My wife had the Moscow mule and it was just as good even finished off with a bit of fresh ginger. I'll definitely be coming back to Crash it's definitely legit. read more

I think I like this place so much cause it's quiet and inviting. It's not your average Bfield Downtown bar. It feels like a place where people who actually wanna talk to each other can hang out! The bartenders and servers are all wonderful. I'm so picky and such a brat and no one acted like my weirdo requests were weird. In fact I asked for a totally made up special drink and the bartender was excited to create it for me. The food is way better than I expected. It's all very simple concepts but made well with good ingredients. Do yourself a favor- be upscale and fancy at CraSh- get a fresh squeezed, hand muddled fancy drink and the meat and cheese platter! Downtown gem! This place was a very nice find. The drinks were outstanding. Probably has to do with them growing some of the garnishes in pots(basil, mint). We had lucked out and had amazing weather that day. Sitting on the little patio area was very relaxing, I personally love getting that downtown vibe! My friends and I love the bartenders so much and the atmosphere of the place... they don't have paninis that was back in 2014 so don't ask lol also there was a good documentary playing on one of the screens and we wanted subtitles so bad it looked so interesting read more

I'm totally surprised I haven't reviewed CraSh Lounge before, as their food has always been surprisingly good. As of last weekend I've finally been able to try their cocktails. On a suggestion of a friend I ordered a Moscow Mule. Not being something I typically order in places other than Basque spots down in Old Kern, this drink topped them all. Seriously - fresh grated ginger, folks. Fresh! That makes all the difference in these relatively easy made drinks. If you're feeling especially sassy, try the Blueberry Moscow Mule. I hear they even add fresh blueberries if they're in season - yum! And for you Bleu Cheese Stuffed Olive fans, they have those too. So your favorite martini can be made right. Their food menu isn't huge, but there's plenty of yummy meaty and cheesy options to absorb those cocktails. While CraSh isn't open late, it's a great place to start the night with friends. Definitely will be my future first stop when bar hopping DT. read more

I love this place. This place is known for all if their whiskey drinks. If you're into whiskey this might be a place for you. There isn't a wine list, but they do have wine and always manage to give some of the best suggestions. They have a great food menu. I tend to always order something different. The last time I was here, just wanted a small bite before dinner. So we shared a small meat and cheese platter. Great service, cozy seating! read more

How I haven't gave this place a review boggles my mind. Hands down this is the best lounge in Bakersfield. The Moscow Mules crafted here by Nick, Christian and Kevin are awesome. I have to give credit where credit is due. Crash turned me into a Whiskey drinker. The Elijah Craig Whiskey sour is one of the best cocktails I've ever had. The ambience is super cool and the decor and mood for this place feels like it was plucked out of a movie or from some place in LA. One of my favorite things about Crash by far is the customer service. I've heard people complain about the length of time it takes to get your drink but it's well worth the wait. Masters of the craft putting together delicious cocktails. The guys at Crash are always super friendly and very helpful. My wife and I love Crash and recommend this place to all of our friends and family. Best lounge in Bako by a landslide. read more

Looking to bar hop downtown but not looking to visit the shady spots. Found this place from Yelp reviews and added to our list. At 9pm at night the place looks blacked out from the outside. But once you open the doors....woaw! Leather couches and seats for lounging, small round tables and chairs, and an L shaped bar. The room is open and inviting. Fresh flowers and awesome music selection makes you want to stay. Was the menu pricy? Well I guess if you're looking to get drunk for cheap. Hanging out on the comfy leather couch with a sensor driven Moscow mule was all we needed for the night. read more

It's kind of ironic because this place used to be one of my favorite places to have well-made premium cocktails. The upscale cocktail lounge vibe is definitely there and is complete with sofas and nice seating and a fantastic looking bar. I still think they make an awesome Moscow mule and old-Fashioned, but that changed the last two times I came in. I walked in with a few friends and we sat on the couches and waited for someone to approach us as the bartenders were busy with customers at the bar. I've been here several times before and they always brought menus to us to order drinks but the last time I came here we literally sat for 10 minutes and no one ever came. Not even a menu or nothing. I honestly felt a little discriminated because this was not the first time this has happened here before because on a separate occasion we were sitting in the couches and no one ever approached us and brought us menus. I seriously thought it was a fluke and would give them a second chance, and nope, it happened again. This is not how you do customer service by neglecting your customers! The only reason I don't knock off another star is because they have fantastic drinks here, but that's it! I definitely won't be coming back here! To the management: please make sure all your customers are served and not just those who are pounding drinks at the bar! It's a shame because this place serves up great cocktails and is a nice lounge to relax in! Not recommended! read more

Finally ,Bakersfield has a lounge type atmosphere bar where you can actually have a conversation. Attention to detail makes their drinks visually appealing and taste like they should. I had a Templeton Rye Old Fashion and I was glad to see that a proper ice cube was used. The only thing they could work on its the menu. We had an Italian type sandwich which was really boring. The panini type sandwich looked better . Kitchen is small and the focus is on drinks, not food it seems. Staff are friendly, but with only one bartender, it took a while to get our bill. We will try again in a month to see how this place develops. read more

I threw a surprise birthday party here and Shawna and the staff took GREAT care of me! They were very accommodating and it turned out fantastic! Set up a space for our group , provided a great spread of appies from the menu and beyond! Which was delish and the staff that night took great care of us and made delish drinks! Things CraSh excels at: Dirty martinis, whiskey sours, Long Islands, cucumber presses, customer service, decor, food. Things I disliked about CraSh: I embarrassingly knocked my Long Island to the floor without even touching it because I was sitting on one of the couches, sat my drink on the chest in the middle, and accidentally let it sit on one of the ridges. They cleaned it up and didn't charge me for another. So really it turns out I disliked nothing. Crash is now my favorite lounge in town. read more

When I first walked into this place, it reminded me of Muertos. Turns out, it's the same owners. Muertos has a full kitchen, but no full liquor license. CraSh only has all the liquor and a limited pantry kitchen. While the food that came out of the pantry kitchen wasn't too shabby, I'll definitely eat somewhere else first and then drink here. The food: Cheese plate and panini sandwich. The cheeses were of various ages and types and paired very well with the drinks. The panini was simple, but well done. The wait for these dishes were longer than expected, close to 20 minutes because someone had to run to the Muertos kitchen to re-stock on ingredients. The drinks: I saw a copper mug on the counter and ginger beer in the fridge. Well shoot, I guess I gotta order the Moscow Mule. This drink was well made, and the bartender even added a dash of real ginger. Bf ordered an old fashioned, which is his standard drink when testing out new bars. The drink was made properly with the correct ingredients and stirred in a glass container. 8/10 for that old fashioned; the only complaint was it was over-muddled. There was also a lot of different scotches, whiskeys, and spirits on display. I didn't try them on my first visit, but I'm down to try them my next visit. read more

Dear cocktail fans. You were right. I was wrong. These expensive drinks are not only delicious but make my food taste better. I had also never believed in food pairing before now. But, all the food was so much better with the cocktail, and the cocktail was better with the food. A balancing of salt, sweet, and sour I had never considered before. Behind the bar are very serious faced young men who do something new in Bakersfield. Instead of just being interested in getting you as drunk as possible with $1 well drinks, they are actually trying to work the art of mixology. Quiet, friendly, and relaxing as opposed to the "Party Central" model so many establishments adopt, this is a place for grown ups. A place to enjoy a cocktail and some appetizers while letting the world drift by. read more

Tried just about all the sandwiches, and most of the small bites. Everything is great! The food, the presentation, the drinks and especially the service. Personal favorite is the Roast Beef panini. The Lox Bites are not to be missed. Not much of a whiskey, or bourbon drinker but the selection is pretty stellar. My go to drink is the Hendricks soda with muddled cucumber, made specially for me. read more

SUCCESS!!!! Glad they are here in Bakersfield. I finally made it in here to have a drink after work. I must say that I was pleasantly surprised. The décor is very well done. Trendy/Casual? Anyway The young man at the bar "Kevin" was very friendly and courteous. Knowledgeable about the drink ingredients when we asked. My son had a Moscow Mule, his friend had a Gin Fizz and I had a beer. (Yes. I know. Just a beer.) I tried the Moscow Mule and it was so refreshing and tasted great. I also tried the Gin Fizz. That was definitely different but good. It looks like a milk shake. When we walked in the atmosphere was relaxed, upscale, friendly and, best of all, not overly loud. Initially, I thought that the cheese, apple and honey mustard panini that I ordered was under flavored.... but then my Manhattan arrived. All of a sudden, the flavors of the panini exploded when paired with the Manhattan. Both the Manhattan and the panini were improved by the pairing. Oh...and I love the preserved dark cherries in lieu of maraschinos. So, if you are going to go to Crash I suggest you plan to order one of their phenomenal cocktails. Thank you, Weatherford BMW of Berkeley, for the near-death experience and, inadvertently, for one of the best nights out I've had in years. Stranded and waiting on repairs, we checked into The Padre, the only hotel in Bakersfield that feels like someone with a subscription to Dwell had a hand in it, and set out walking through a downtown that time has treated with more kindness than reputation suggests. There's a Woolworth's luncheonette still hanging on. There are old brick facades and wide sidewalks and the particular quiet of a Central Valley evening when the heat finally breaks. And then, on 18th Street, there is Tiki-Ko, and suddenly you are no longer in Bakersfield at all. You are, instead, inside someone's magnificent obsession. Tiki-Ko is a proper tiki bar -- not a tiki-themed cocktail lounge, not a place that bought some bamboo at a craft store and called it atmosphere, but a genuine, committed, floor-to-ceiling shrine to mid-century Polynesian fantasy. The carvings are real. The lighting is correct -- which is to say, barely there. The mugs are serious. There are pufferfish lamps and carved totems and the whole glorious taxonomy of tiki ephemera, accented here and there with a skate-culture edge that keeps it from feeling like a museum. It's reverent without being precious. The drinks are the real thing. Mai Tais built with actual orgeat. Zombies that earn the name. The bartenders make them with the kind of care and enthusiasm that tells you this isn't a gig -- it's a calling. They want you to be here. They want to talk about rum. They want you to try the Painkiller. In a city that most Angelenos regard as a punch line, somebody built a world-class cocktail bar and filled it with joy, and the regulars clearly know it. You will not plan a trip to Bakersfield. But if you find yourself there -- by mechanical failure, by accident, by the peculiar mercy of a bad brake job -- walk downtown. Find the tiki bar. Order a second round. Stay longer than you intended. Bakersfield has been underestimated, and Tiki-Ko is the proof.

The bed was super comfy and we even caught a Back To The Future Marathon on TV :) This room was a corner room just as our previous stay (in room 404) but this room's view was much better. It was right on the front corner of 18th & H Street. The sunrise was spectacular! My favorite is the jetted tub. It's super relaxing for a great "staycation" It's really cool and fills from the ceiling. Put on a Padre robe and relax! The best feeling after a long day! Can't wait to visit again hopefully visit the bar and restaurant next time.
