Vehicle was total loss in Nov 2023, been working with insurance and Gap to cover difference. Gap had to send 2 separate checks bc CC conveyed payoff amount WAY less than what it was and the stuck me with my first and only 30+ past due on my credit. They were never helpful in getting my contract docs over in the first place, failing to mail it to me despite calling several times. The people are robotic and could care less about their customers even if it involves paying them money. Finance or ReFi with ANYONE else if possible, this company is trash! read more

Not only does Chrysler not want to fix what's under warranty (radio issues) as to why I traded my 2021 Durango RX, they drag out sending you the GAAP insurance refund! All other financial companies have you go to the dealership to obtain your refund. However! Chrysler makes the dealership send the check to them, then they hold it for 45 days of "processing" then send you a check. I've received so many different answers on this topic from their customer service it's nuts! I have dates, times, agent names and ID numbers it makes no sense! NEVER AGAIN!! I entered into a lease agreement for a 2021 Jeep Gladiator in May 2021. In April of 2024, I went to one of the local dealerships and was informed that the value of my Jeep Gladiator was $3,682.65 less than the purchase price of this vehicle. I made the choice to turn in the vehicle and to purchase something else. Because I turned in the vehicle a month early i was charged an @early return" fee and then informed that the vehicle went to auction and I owe a difference of $270.20. I returned the vehicle with 6000 miles less than the 3 year/36000 mile lease, was in impeccable condition, and I made all of the payments. (I also paid the vehicle turn-in fee of $395.00) when I called Chrysler capital I was informed that there is nothing they could do and that they waved a 100.00 early termination fee. I do not recommend this company for anyone interested in leasing a vehicle or looking for a vehicle loan. There are better options and companies that will not charge you for turning in a vehicle once all payments are made. I am sad as I love Jeeps, but cannot do business with a corporation that extorts money from customers and then says things like "the contract states....". If you go online to the lease-end process at Chrysler Capital.com/lease-end-options it will inform you to bring in the vehicle at 60 days and make a decision at the 30 day mark. financed or leased six cars from Chrysler Capital over the last eight years. This company does not care about providing customer service. I currently have a 2022 Ram Laramie financed through them. I moved from South Carolina to Tennessee at the end of June 2022. At that time, Tennessee mailed a request for the South Carolina title. Fast forward to June of 2023. I go to renew my tags. They were going to refuse me the ability to renew my tags because they had never received the title from Chrysler Capital. Luckily, I live in a small town, so the lady there went ahead and renewed them anyway. I contacted CC, and they apologized and said it would be taken care of. I waited a few months then contacted the state. They said they still hadn't received it. So I called CC, and they said it would be taken care of. This went on for about five months. I decided to try to trade my truck in January this year, 2024. Lo and behold, not only is my truck flagged due to Tennessee never receiving the title, but it is also flagged with incorrect mileage on the title. This is because Tennessee has never issued a title with mileage. I am now very angry. I contacted the title department for CC. Now they are saying that the title request needs to be faxed or sent by email and not mailed. How is anyone, including a state, supposed to know that? After multiple phone calls over several months, we were never told this. So, I get the process started the correct way. I was told that once the request is sent to South Carolina, it will take three to four weeks to get the title. Once the title is received, it will be overnighted to Tennessee. This was on 1/5/24. I called back today, 1/25/24. I am now told they received the title on 1/23 and it will now take an additional seven to ten days for the title to be sent to Tennessee. Every time you speak to these people, you get different timelines. To make matters worse, everyone you speak to gives you responses off a piece of paper rather than speaking to you as a person. Every step of the way, they say they will not call the customer with updates. The customer has to take the time to call them and play games. This company has given up on customer service. They also make you feel like you are working for them, rather than them working for you. I am in my thirteenth vehicle purchase or lease in nine years. I will never deal with this company again. And I suggest that if you want to be treated as a customer, stay away. Anytime I ask for someone to complain to about this, I am given an address to mail a complaint to--as if that will ever be seen. Here's an update. After posting a negative review on several media outlets, within 3 days someone from the executive office contacted me. And with 3 days of that, everything was fixed. Honestly I don't know if this was because of the executive office getting involved, or if it was just the natural timeline. I am assuming that. Chrysler Capital switched to a different third party vendor to process payments and it never works. They offer you the ability to pay online (website as they don't have an app) through your banking account and there will be no fees HOWEVER, every time you put in your banking information (which won't save no matter how many times you select save payment info) it comes back as the account is invalid. Last year I paid off my van over $11,000; I was so excited not to have that payment anymore and with three kids in the house everyone can relate. They will tell you all the things they will do For you, which is written In hidden facts- they really don't do 1/2 of what they say they are willing to do. Customer satisfaction isn't what Chrysler capital strives for, I have dealt with Chrysler capital on 6 separate occasions within 12 months and during each encounter it's always been a negative experience. Chrysler capital doesn't care if you're a member of the US armed forces, they will still treat you less of your worth. Leasing through Chrysler is a bad idea, so is there SCRA member relief act, they need to update their policy and let service members know that you are still locked in your lease even if you are deployed within the U.S it doesn't matter if you're deployed for longer than 90 days they will still make you pay for a vehicle that isn't occupied or used if it's within the US. If you live in a state like Alabama or Georgia and need to update your registration- they require Chrysler capital to send over the (title) In order to get a registration renewal- I called for this information on 29 SEP2020 and the tags expired 10/01/20 and I called for the status on 10/05/2020- still awaiting that title to be sent to the DMV of Alabama- it is now 10/19/2020 and the title still hasn't been sent over and the Chrysler members say they require 10 extra days for the title to be sent over. After speaking with the manager name: Ashley Logan ID# 101055 or 101058 She rudely said "if you called on the 29th you can't expect to have the title sent within 2 days and if you knew the registration expired on oct 1." This company is terrible. You shouldn't buy or lease Chrysler (or Fiat) because of this company. 1. I leased 2017 Fiat 500e. I had it autopay. The state changed the taxes and the amount had changed, they said. First, I made a contract to pay a certain amount a month. How can they just change it? Second, since they changed the amount, my autopay was not made. They didn't notify me about this until a month later, and they charged me for a late fee. This is a terrible system. People do Autopay not to worry about the payment. But they use it and charge the fine! 2. I need to return the car since the lease is ending. I called the company and asked about this. They said I could return it only to a 2 locations in my state. One was 650miles away, and the other was 44 miles away. I told them that I leased the car from less than 10 miles away, and I expect to return the car at the same location (or at least in the same area). At the end of a lease, everyone is trying to cautious about not to go over the mile limit. Now, they are increasing more than 30 miles for me to drive and they said I cannot go over the mile limit. The lady kept insisting it's only 25 miles, and I google-maped it. It was 44 miles. I told her. She kept insisting that that's the system Chrysler Capitol uses. I told her that the system is wrong and asked her to check on the computer. She kept repeating this is the system we use on daily basis. Felt like talking to a wall. It's now a month later and I call again only to get zero answers and told that they will send out the lien release AGAIN but I need to wait another 6 weeks. Not one bit surprised that Chrysler Capital only has a 1 star review. I should have seen the red flag early on but I didn't pay attention to the high APR they charged on my 36 mo lease. It stood at 9.4% and in comparison, today, I began a 36 mo lease with Honda for 2.1%. Their vehicles do not retain any value and thankfully the vehicle was never involved in an accident because the payoff value was $5k greater than what the vehicle was worth. Every time I called them, it's true like another reviewer indicated, it was like Groundhog's Day. Always repeating the same info and always wishing a great rest of the day but never providing a solution but rather transferring the call to another department. In my case, the title/registration department is as incompetent as they come. It took 4 phone calls to finally get a request for documentation even though the first 3 times I was told blatant lies (the local DMV kept telling me something different so I thought they were lying). Maybe they both were lying..who knows. Either way, it's as if they memorize a script and avoid having to do any work while telling the customer it's not them but rather someone else who isn't doing a good job. If you happen to speak with Letishia in the title department (has a southern accent) request to speak with her manager right off the bat because she will pretend to care and pretend to give good advise but in the end when you have to call back and happen to reach her again she will suddenly change the solution when it should have been that solution all along. I have tried and tried again to find someone who can locate my title. I hav head representatives literally hang on me or transfer me back into a long queue because they didn't want to handle it. the "executive team" reached out to me and told me that everything was taken care of and that I would receive my title next day since I paid through our FedEx account to have it sent. I called back two days later for a rep to tell me it could be another few days before it is sent out after being released. I then wait through the weekend and call back the following week for them to tell me that it is marked as regular mail to be sent out. And that he has to email the title department and check but that he could try and get back to me by Friday. Today is Monday. I cannot believe the inconsistency with this company and it's employees. They tossed blame to everyone but themselves including their 3rd party title management software provider, dealer track, and my state DMV. Agents regularly hang up on you when you request to speak with a manager. Managers lie about when they will process paperwork. Oh and by the way, their online payment system is rigged to only accept a limited amount of principal payment per month (if I recall around 3K). The ONLY way you can pay off a vehicle early, without getting hit with a ton of interest for just "waiting to pay" using their rigged system is by mailing them a paper check... to an address they do not publish. My son was in an accident in April of 2024 which resulted in a total loss for the vehicle. The car was sent to a local impound company and held for a few weeks pending an investigation. I contacted the company and was told that I couldn't pick up the car due to an investigation. After a few weeks the impound company contacted Chrysler Capital and requested that the car be picked up without calling us first. Chrysler Capital mailed me a letter saying that they needed me to contact them prior to them selling the vehicle. I contacted them prior to the due date and explained that my insurance company needed to see the car to make a determination. My insurance company contacted Chrysler Capital prior to the sell date but was told that they couldn't speak with them since they were not on the account. The insurance company finally made contact with the right department and later made the determination that the car was totaled. Today I got a notification from the credit bureaus that Chrysler Capital reported the car as a "REPOSSESSION" even though I have paid for the car on time. THIS IS CRAZY!!!! read more

If you ask for help online and call they cancel your case number and send some copout message about following up with ANOTHER call to create a new case.
