    Awesome Roll
    Kacey S.

Got to go here the other night after hearing great things about it from some locals. We were promptly and friendly greeted and sat at a table by the window. The dining area is on the smaller side, but not uncomfortable. The menu had so many options it was hard to choose, but we wanted to try a little of everything so we settled on some sushi rolls, Kung Pao chicken, and House Chow Mein. Everything tasted great! My tempura roll was light and fresh and the Awesome roll lives up to its name! Yum!!! The chow mein could have used a little more flavor but it was still delicious. The service was impeccable! So friendly and polite, filled our water glasses often, and made us feel like appreciated guests! Definitely recommend :)

We came to Chu's too on a roadtrip because I think we were craving sushi and soup after a long hike and it was nearby. Honestly, it's pretty good for where it is, like I wasn't expecting AMAZING chinese/japanese food but it exists! I will say, it's not that great but the servers are really cute and I have a soft spot in my heart for these style of family owned chinese restaurants in these areas because you know they're trying their best with what they've got.

Great sushi! Great service! Hidden gem!! I'd forgotten about Chus Too, but I won't again! So delicious.

If you ever come through Redding and crave Chinese food, Chi's Too is the place. It is interesting that they are Japanese and Chinese restaurant but I find that they are more Chinese than Japanese. I ordered a family dinner for three and got an abundant amount of food that the three of us cannot finish. We got Egg Flower Soup with corn. Some Won Ton crisps, spring rolls and chef's salad as appetizers. California Roll was thrown in making to add the Japanese component to the dinner. The Yakitori Chicken were fantastic. Entrees include Beef with Broccoli and sweet and sour pork. Both were done well. The sweet and sour pork was done right with a crispy shell that is thin and light, not a heavy thick shell. The beef with Broccoli has a delicate taste. I feel that they are a cut above in terms of presentation, facilities, and taste. The only thing I noticed was, I had some left over sweet and sour pork. It was in the paper Chinese takeout box. I put the box in a plastic bag and then in a paper bag. The oil from the sweet and sour pork soaked through the paper takeout box, the plastic bag and the paper bag and was really gluey. That was a bit unusual. I would love to learn why that happened.

Fresh - but moderate Chinese food. Nice servers - but nothing extraordinary about experience.

We ordered from the Lunch Special menu, which was from 11AM to 3PM everyday. The entrees came with Soup of the Day, Egg Roll, and either Steamed Rice, Pork Fried Rice, or Chicken Chow Mein. We ordered the Chicken with Snow Peas with Steamed Rice for $11.75, Vegetable Bean Curd with Steamed Rice for $11.55, and Beef with Oyster Sauce with Chicken Chow Mein for $12.55. The Soup of the Day was Hot & Sour Soup. The soup was really good, delicious, and not spicy at all. The Egg Rolls were crispy and too oily. The dipping sauce for the egg rolls was good. All the dishes were descent, but way too salty. We were told you can request the dishes to be light on the salt. We wouldn't mind returning next time as the flavors were good, but we would request the dishes be less salty.

The restaurant closes 9 PM and we were lucky enough to reach before that as we entered. The ambience was amazing. The hotel was quite big enough and the sitting area was also very pretty. Me and my daughter and my husband selected up place. We ordered a dinner plate unknowing of the fact both the quantity of the food and as we were hungry enough so we ordered one plate of kung pao chicken, which comes with egg drop soup and one egg roll along with a plate of half chicken needles, half pork fried rice or boiled rice, optional along with the compound chicken and we ordered another plate of sweet-and-sour chicken along with the same combination of fried rice or white rice and half chicken noodles along with a soup and one roll and my daughter ordered a plate of chicken noodle noodles. The food was served within five minutes and seeing the quantity we got scared because it was huge. I would recommend you if you are with a kid or if you are three people please go for two plates as it's really huge amount of quantity we couldn't finish it at all. We had to box it and when we really ordered three box Ambience was really quiet. And I really like the service as they were gentle and friendly.

There are plenty of parking in this shopping center. The restaurant is very clean and airy, quite a huge place. The price is very reasonable for all the foods that they have. There is everything for any taste, it's like the Newark Buffet near our home. We got the senior discount automatically which was nice, enough for 2 drinks. The soup bar is excellent, seafood soup, hot and sour, wonton soup they're all good. The sushi bar has all the pre-made sushi which are ok. Every buffet, I would try every dish a little to see what I like, I did like the chicken wings, the scallops, salt and pepper shrimps, actually, all the fried dishes are great, hot and tasty. The hot foods come out very quickly as soon as the trays look low on food. I tried all the soups and they're quite delicious. OK, I know what place he's talkin about, the Grand Buffet, On Hilltop Drive just off the 5 off of East Cypress exit. East to find and lots of parking. Looks like it's been over 2 years since I was here. The price for lunch now is $17 bucks plus tax and some tip. We get there and the place looks about the same as the last time I was here. They have these big Koi fish that seem to be an attraction near the front. We get seated and drink orders taken. We got here close to opening at 11 am. so all the food was nice and fresh and hot. Don't get here half hour before closing and expect there to be all hot fresh food, it ain't gonna happen. Some of the things I love here are those ribs! Yeah, Chinese can make so damn good ribs! Not Texas style though. Chicken wings are another of my fave here. My friend went wild and ate a ton of food, all kinds of noodles, ribs and wings. I pretty much skipped the carbs and filled up with shrimp, wings and ribs. They even have french fries if you want! Service is the usual just clear the plates and fill the drinks with minimal conversation. I gotta remember this place is here!
