TOP 3 HOT POT When the broth is this good, customers drive from miles away. IYKYK This is many locals favorite Sichuan style hotpot for a reason, even at the dinner price always of unlimited, AYCE = all you can eat of $29. My main complaint is that the crispy pork is not included in the $32. Under new management, Alina, the new owner --- proudly hails from herself and stops by almost every table to say hello. All of the broths here are made from scratch, and the house flavor is spicy beef. However, I visit for the fragrant and numbing golden broth. And, unlike other hotpot restaurants, the sauce bar here has even more complimentary numbing peppercorn oil available 花椒油. Best items here are: Broth... these are the best broth in Georgia. Handmade wontons, you can taste the difference. Fresh shrimp meatball paste, that is served in the faux bamboo with special spatula. Brown sugar rice cakes. Crispy on the outside, warm and chewy interior, covered in brown sugar syrup. Handmade noodles, which are chewy and dusted in flour. How to order: Scan QR code and order unlimited meats and sides, all clearly marked, then they are brought fresh to your table. No buffet here, other than sauce bar.

I'm on a journey to find some great hot pot in the area, so my fiancé and I came here for lunch. I would have preferred to order with the waitress instead of using the QR code, but I did like the fact that you get to choose your vegetables and any other sides that you'd like. I ordered the sliced lamb with spicy kimchi broth and my fiancé got the brisket with miso broth. They give you more than enough protein and vegetables, but I would have enjoyed more sauce options as well. We also only received one order of the handmade noodles and when we asked for more, it seemed like there was confusion between the waitresses. Controlling the hot plate was pretty simple, with a low, medium, and high option for the heat, however, if any of the liquid got on the table and touched the power button, it would turn off. Once we were finished, the waitress was generous enough to have us try a complimentary dessert pastry. Overall, I enjoyed this hot pot experience and I'm glad that we gave this restaurant a try.

Very authentic Sichuan hot pot, with fresh ingredients and no pre-prepared dishes, highly recommended.

Handcrafted by a true Chongqing native, each hot pot base uses pure beef tallow simmered with over thirty spices for three hours--rich in CLA, oleic acid, and vitamins A, D, E, K--authentic, healthy, and flame-resistant.

The best and most authentic Sichuan hotpot in Atlanta! ! ! ! Super delicious. The ingredients feel delicious.

Delicious hot pot. It's perfect when the weather cools down. The food is fresh. The hot pot base tastes just like the one you'd find in Sichuan, China. I love it.

Wow!!!! 10/10 hot pot experience! The owner Alina was so hospitable and attentive, she made me feel right at home! The broth was so rich and flavorful, the meat and veggies were so fresh and tasty, it was amazing! I will most certainly be back but next time I'm bringing friends!

Before coming, you should definitely expect VERY typical Chinese service, meaning if you want something, you have to go and ask or just get it yourself. It's not offensive to them and it's also what they expect of you, rather than the American tableside service of waiters coming up to check on you every few minutes. With that being said, it's not unusual to look up and have trouble finding the employees (there was really only 1 main person who was both hosting, taking orders, and serving while I was there). It would also help to have a Chinese speaker to better explain what you want/need. The broths weren't as flavorful as I was hoping, but I have yet to find a truly flavorful location in Georgia (I come from the SGV in Cali, so IYKYK). However, they have a VERY vast selection of sauces, so it made the food taste good regardless of the broth flavor. Another hack for any situation where you have bland broth is to go to the sauces and make some broth base to throw into your broth--it'll amp up the flavor too. People do that all the time at Din Tai Fung in China. The mala broth with level 2 out of 5 spice level was barely spicy (couldn't taste it), so ramp it up for 3 or more, especially if you are used to actual mala broth (those of you who are accustomed to Chongqing level spice...go up to 5, you won't break a sweat). I do eat fairly spicy though, so if you're spiced out by kimchi then you should stick with 1 or 2. 3 or 4 is probably the usual Szechuan spice level in GA and 5 is probably a little more than that. The meats aren't the best quality--they're not particularly soft and flavor is rather bland (I couldn't tell what was beef, pork, or lamb!), but it's not awful. The fresh fish paste and shrimp paste are quite good, and the veggies are nice and clean. They don't give a whole lot at a time though, so if you're big eaters, plan to hunt down the employees and order often. Overall, this place is the best I've had in Georgia so far, but not by much, and a far, far cry from Cali. If anyone knows of any other AYCE chinese hot pot places in GA, let me know! I'm still on the hunt!

FOR THE AREA...its nice! Actually very great in my opinion because the authentic chinese hot pot options are not toooo vast in this area. For the experience and everything, i wouldnt say it's anything "special" .. just standard and authentic. There was a sauce bar and everything, but i noticed their chili oil had tons of whole chillies in it, which is pretty cool. We had a table for 4, and they sat us in the center. Water was leaking from the roof... they just told us to scoot over. We felt kinda weird by that since they were not busy at all and didn't suggest us to be moved. So needless to say, typical chinese service. But what can you expect anyways. My problem was more with the broth too. Mushroom & Spicy broth was chosen, Spicy broth was pretty good, but the mushroom was lacking any drop of flavor.. i dont know if it is me or what but i just have had a lot better.

At the end of the meal, so yummy!

For our broth bases, I chose the Mara while my boyfriend picked the Deungchon-- both were flavorful and great choices. While waiting for our hot pots and meat, I checked out the hot bar, which had side dishes like tteokbokki, japchae, fried rice, and more. I had some dishes from the bar as little appetizers, and they were tasty. For meats, we mostly ordered the non-fatty beef, brisket, and rib-eye. The meat quality was good. My boyfriend also ordered a round of clams and mussels. I personally wasn't too interested because they looked a bit unappealing, but he said they were okay. As a quick intermission from the shabu, we both enjoyed the shaved ice dessert. Unfortunately, near the end of our dining experience, while finishing our last plate of meat, my boyfriend noticed something crawling on the table. He lifted the water cup and found an inchworm. We think it may have come from one of the vegetables we grabbed earlier. We notified our server, who simply squished it and asked if we wanted a new cup. We declined and decided to leave. The inchworm incident definitely brought the experience down significantly, even though it happened near the end of our meal, and it honestly made me consider giving this place only two stars. However, I'm hoping it was just an unlucky mistake because I otherwise enjoyed 9292 Shabu and hope they improve their sanitation practices moving forward.

There is also a wide variety of ingredients available to customize your bowl. Since everything is priced by weight, I recommend selecting only as much as you are prepared to eat. Having tried every option on the menu, my top recommendation is the spicy hot pot beef broth. It is extremely flavorful, though customers should be mindful when choosing their spice level, as even the medium option can be quite spicy. My second favorite is the dry spicy mix, shown in my photo. After experimenting with the different broths, this became my preferred choice. However, it is best suited for those who enjoy a drier style, and the spice level tends to feel more intense compared to the soup-based options. My third choice is the tomato beef broth, which was my least favorite personally. Lastly, the spicy and sour beef broth was acceptable, though it did not particularly appeal to my taste.

The biggest pro is the value. Dinner is $34.99 AYCE and lunch is $24.99 AYCE, which I think is very reasonable. Another huge plus is that there is no time limit. We ended up staying for over 4 hours just eating, chatting, and catching up. Not once did the staff try to rush us. They were actually only about 30 minutes from closing, and they still let us relax without making us feel uncomfortable. That level of hospitality was definitely appreciated. For the hot pot, you can choose multiple soup bases. Some premium broths cost extra, and if you want four different broths, there's an additional $12.99 charge. Personally, I think two broths are more than enough. With four sections, there's barely any room left to cook your meats, vegetables, and noodles. We tried the Tom Yum and Tomato broths. They tasted surprisingly similar since they're both tomato-based, but in my opinion, the Tom Yum had more flavor. Their tomatoes tasted like straight up tomato sauce. We also sampled the mushroom broth, which was pretty good, although it does have a noticeable herbal flavor from the Chinese herbs they add. One thing I really liked was the self-serve setup. There's a large sauce bar where you can customize your dipping sauce, along with a cold bar offering appetizers, fruit, and desserts. They also have a freezer stocked with several ice cream flavors and a refrigerator full of complimentary drinks like honey pomelo tea, citrus tea, sweet tea, honey green tea, and pear juice; all included with the AYCE price. The refrigerated food section is well stocked with vegetables, noodles, meats, seafood, dumplings, fish paste, pork paste, shrimp paste, and plenty of skewers. The skewers were tiny because each one usually only had a single small piece of food on it. I guess that's the point....it keeps everything from getting lost in the hot pot! They also provide a rolling cart beside your table for extra space, which is actually really useful because your table fills up quickly. Overall, while nothing completely wowed me, the price, variety, and relaxed atmosphere make it worth visiting. I'd definitely come back when I'm really hungry and just want to chow down with friends for a few hours.
