The shrimp were spiced nicely, but also had the flavor of black pepper coming through. A lot of places don't get that right. The perfect mix of that spice red pepper heat and hint of black pepper are exactly why I love about this dish. The shrimp were fried perfectly and the veggies deliciously sauted. The Haemul Jjampong was a flavor and spice bomb. The broth was so flavorful and had a great essence of the seafood in it (squid, mussels, abalone). This soup is also for people not afraid of the spice...it was SPICY, but no so much that it was unenjoyable. The spice complemented the flavor and I loved it. The take-home of the leftovers was just as good the next day! If I had to say anything that they might think of changing, would be the addition of kimchi to the banchan. The brisket and thinly sliced pork belly are self-serve you grab them from the freezer using the designated plates for each type of meat. Everything else has to be ordered through your server. Another catch is that not all of the side dishes are included, and even the rice costs an extra $1.99 per bowl. As for the food, it tasted like any other Korean BBQ spot.
