First time at the bbq version (usually go to the hotpot one). It was delicious and had lots of options even on the lowest tier. However, I will say it's not a convenient floor plan. We got seated upstairs and had to walk downstairs and to the far left of the restaurant to get access to all of the sides and non-ipad items. Makes it harder to enjoy your meal when you have to journey downstairs repeatedly. Especially when the floors are slippery from the grease the grills release. My husband and I went for our anniversary and it was amazing! Food was fresh, staff were super sweet and got sat a lot faster than the estimated time. Our server Anthony was attentive and so nice to explain everything to us since it was our first time. Second time coming in tonight and I am thrilled that Chubby Cattle in Atlanta lives up to the experience of the restaurant experience I had and loved in Little Tokyo in LA, but here at home. Our server was Ricky and he did a great job. The only way Chubby Cattle could be better is if they had hot pot/nabe. Fingers crossed! Don't forget to sample the additional sources beyond the ones on the table! Not to be a hater, but the vibes at Wagyu House are all wrong, and Chubby Cattle is AYCE done correctly. So this is my update of my experience at Chubby Cattle a month later. The experience was great and the food was delicious. We bought the membership because my birthday is in February and I'd like to come back to celebrate it. But then I noticed on my Chubby app that I have zero points, that let me mind you, I was told once our dinner was paid for in a couple weeks the points would show up. I did my part and waited... and waited. I contacted customer service about this, and they told me I needed my receipt! What?! After a month? Why would I have kept it since I did what I was told to do on my end. Once I told them this... ghosted! Poor customer service! This location should be embarrassed to operate under the Chubby Cattle name. My friend and I arrived just to be told we could not be seated because their "last seating is 9:30." When I pointed out that it was not yet 9:30, the host admitted they had already started cleaning, had no servers left, and therefore would not seat anyone despite still being within their stated last seating window. Let me get this straight: * You close at 10:30 PM * Your last seating is 9:30 PM * We arrived before 9:30 PM But you refused service anyway because you decided to clean early? The explanation kept changing: "The kitchen closes at 10," "We're already cleaning," "I'm just following policy." None of it made sense, and no one could explain why a restaurant with posted hours simply ignores them. Watching someone argue with a customer while I'm literally staring at my bare wrist to confirm the time was surreal. And unfortunately, this isn't a one-off disappointment. The last time we dined here, the food quality was already slipping badly: * Meats sitting out looking brown and old * The back food line was messy and chaotic, with empty counters and stacked plates that looked more like storage than a buffet line * Items missing with no explanation * Staples like crab legs quietly removed after the "soft opening" phase, despite being part of what originally justified the price This place feels like it's coasting on the Chubby Cattle name while cutting corners everywhere, staffing, food quality, cleanliness, and honesty about operating hours. If you don't want to seat people after 9:15, change your hours. Don't gaslight customers who arrive on time and act like they're the problem. There are far better korean BBQ options in the city that actually respect their guests. This location does not, especially for more than $75 a person. Go to Wagyu House if you must. Not as good as the the Duluth location. We went tonight for the first time to try the seafood and there were no crab legs. It was one of the reasons we came to this location. We were told there was a supply issue. I wish this had been posted online. Also, some of the sushi and meats had sat out a good bit and become dried out. Some of the salmon sushi and tamago sushi were no longer moist. I was disappointed when I checked my app receipt after leaving. I was charged non-member price when I showed the waitress our membership when we sat down. Customer service was great though. Hostess was super nice and plates were taken away fast. read more

Was very excited to try the new Chubby Cattle location today as a party of 2 but was unfortunately told that we wouldn't be able to be seated as the waitlist was too long. When inquiring about placing a reservation while we were talking to the hostess, we were informed that they would not be able to make a reservation for a party of 2 and our best bet was to try to show up right when they first open at 5pm to ensure we could get a table. Seems like a weird business practice to tell customers that their "best bet" is to try to just queue early when most corporate jobs end around 5pm. This is still their soft opening phase, so I hope they are able to update their booking system soon to take reservations for smaller parties so people aren't forced to leave work early just to be able to have a chance to get a table for a party of 2. read more

Meats are great, service is great. What I didn't love: Ordered truffle fries and they were regular fries, which I didn't want. We got there right at 12 for lunch and they just weren't ready yet. They were moving things around (equipment) in the buffet line... like entire cabinets. Which was disorganized and probably unsafe. Rugs were disheveled. The food is serious. No doubt, come hungry. The service is great in some areas but dumb in others. They will come up and help cook your meat (even if you dont want them to) but they wont refill your drink. Also - they spend all this money on the presentation of each element but give you paper cups to drink out of. Then you pay extra for the special meat or dinner - but you only get 1 item from that menu, 1 time and honestly I couldnt tell you what it was when it was brought out. Now, the meal was incredible. Every piece of meat, sushi, whatever we had - was amazing. Great flavors, tender, etc. but I honestly dont see the value in paying for the gold tier or whatever tier when it only gives you 1 meat, 1 time. Came here for dinner and thoroughly enjoyed it. Jet made the experience even better than normal. This place is different from some of their other locations in the sense of it being AYCE buffet style choices for most of their options. There is a few specialty items that they will bring to your table but a bulk of their options is out in the buffet. The quality of meat from their other locations (like Duluth) is slightly better but this place is still so good compared with to a traditional bbq place. Jet was super attentive and patient with us. He chatted with us some and was very quick with changing our grill and bringing us drinks that we could've gotten ourselves. That made up for any slight differences in the Wagyu we got from here versus their other locations. Overall a great value for the quality and the fact of it being AYCE buffet style. They also had a few dim sum options, milk teas, sauce bar, sushi, dessert, and more. You really can't beat it. We most certainly be back.
