This is small chubby cattle. Since it's small they only have one menu/ pricing which was 65.99 pp. Parking is also limited. We were able to get a reservation same day at 1140 for a table at 1:30pm. Maybe it helped that there was just two people but they had 1/4 of the seats unoccupied. With all this being said; I would come back here simply because the meat quality is better than the Monterey park location. We've been to the MP location several times and what we like there are their appetizers, but we aren't going to get full off the appetizers; so Rosemead it is! Ordering is straight forward. Youre allowed to ordered 6 items every 2 minutes . We did have issues with the ordering system /ipad a few times that required them to reboot it but it was ok with us. This could be an issue for someone else though. We also witnessed a birthday song and we thought it was really cute. Since it's a small location, it felt intimate; everyone was singing for the birthday person! Service was awesome. My daughter made a mess and they cleaned everything fairly quickly and said it was ok after we apologized for her spilling her entire cup of water on the floor. This was my first and last time at this particular chubby cattle location. Off the bat we walk in and there only two other patrons dining and one hostess/waiter. She greets us after about a 3 min wait stating party for two no hello nothing. We get seated and she walks us through ordering 6 items per submission on the iPad. So I ordered the beef skirt, cheesy corn, white rice, squid, pork, and a bunch of things thinking it would be amazing. Sadly I was wrong. The food was not seasoned at all and the little sauce they add to each plate is not enough to ensure flavor. I had to season it extra with the seasoning that were on the table and the bbq sauce. This has not been my experience at any other place. It also claims to be a hot pot but there's no hot pot options. I ended up paying almost $110 for no good reason. Service was very terrible here for our first time experience! Front hostess let another party of 6 ppl (preference) while we had already been waiting 30 min & received our txt that our table was ready. The hostess said, wait 5 more min & let in the party that had just arrived in their car,rushed inside to sit down while the gentleman was wiping the table. Our table. Others patrons noticed too! One of the smallest Chubby Cattle I have been to but one with the best service! Love that I was able to make a reservation online and got seated right away. It could be due to the size of the restaurant, but it was very smokey and I felt it lacked ventilation. This review is for the two women who were working the night of April 11, 2026 who were so kind to me when I accidentally broke a bottle of their samurai sauce, causing us to need to move tables. I was so deeply embarrassed and needed to leave the restaurant briefly to cry (whoops, trauma) and these two ladies (one was our main waitress, the other was her coworker--I wish I got their names) were so, so kind to me and I just want management to know that because they went above and beyond what anybody would've done in that situation for me. They were kind, empathetic, so professional, and saw how distraught I was and even gave me a little plushie at the end of our meal and went out of their way to reassure me that everything was okay. I'm so embarrassed about breaking that bottle but they were so understanding, patient, and kind, and so I just want them to be highlighted. Also, the food was excellent, and we got seated immediately despite having no reservation on a Saturday night. 5 star dining! Truly impeccable service and hats off for the attentive staff who served my friends and family. Everything is beyond amazing here. From start to finish you are treated with respect and love. Located in the back of a plaza boasts this powerhouse who serves certified A5 wagyu at a price even the godfather couldn't refuse. Truly an experience worth having! So you get 2 hours of dining for 65+ tax and tip drinks not included. So order some soju or sake with some beers and get ready to have a flavor explosion(21 over for the spirit drinkers!). Everything was top tier. Every cut of meat. In the beginning you're given a special round of cuts (1 round only for that per table) and every 2 minutes you can order a new option up to 6 items each round. All for 65 bucks. Totally worth it. Tenderest, juiciest, fattiest cuts of Wagyu you will ever get to have in the states for the price of 65 bucks! Can it get any better? Don't want to load up on only Wagyu? They have sushi as well, plenty of sides, chicken karaage, bimbap bowls, sashimi...the list truly goes on. It's wild! If you're a foodie. Like true foodie who came to shut the place down this is the right place. Worth every penny! Also to mention it is a small eatery with big heart. Not too much seating but enough for a party of 8 in one row or just maybe 12-16 tables total. All in all an amazing experience. From the moment we placed our first order, the iPad ordering system was malfunctioning. Throughout the entire meal, many of our orders never went through or were simply missed. When I politely pointed out that several of our dishes had not arrived, the waiter responded with an attitude instead of trying to resolve the issue. Because the iPad wasn't working properly, our food was significantly delayed. This was especially frustrating since the restaurant enforces a 90-minute dining limit. We lost valuable time waiting on orders that were never processed correctly. Near the end of our meal, I asked if we could have just one more plate of beef since we had spent so much of our dining time dealing with the ordering issues. The waiter rudely replied, "No, your time is up," without acknowledging that the restaurant's malfunctioning ordering system had caused the delays in the first place. This is the first time I've ever left an all-you-can-eat restaurant still feeling hungry. To make matters worse, when it was time to pay, the waiter simply handed us the bill without even asking whether we had a membership, which is something they normally do. I don't know whether the waiter was having a bad day or if the restaurant was understaffed, but neither excuses the poor service we received. I've dined at Chubby Cattle Rosemead three times before, and this visit was by far the worst. Will I be coming back? No. Once my membership expires, I'll be canceling it. read more

I got severe food poisoning after visiting this location on Saturday night. Do not order any of the nigiri dishes or hand rolls. It was definitely the raw fish that caused my food poisoning because I dined with my parents (who didn't consume any raw fish) and they were both fine. This is extremely upsetting because everything else tasted really good. The meats were great quality and all the food came out quickly, which was perfect because of the time limits (70 minutes to order, 90 minutes to eat). I feel like other AYCE restaurants tend to bring food out slowly, but that wasn't the case here. It is decently priced, and if you go for barbecue often, I think joining their special membership club is worth it because you could get a discount, some free upgrades, and gifts. Stand-outs def being the short rib, marinade pork belly, beef tongue and the cow plate they bring out initially. We tried a handful of sides, most just being ok besides the wagyu rice (great) and corn cheese (duh). Service (4/5) - The ice waters we were served had a strange chemically type taste, when replaced they were fine (i saw the water pitcher with cut fruit in it so idk what went wrong) other than that, it was busy when we went so the service was spotty but fine, didn't have to wait any outrageous times for new orders. Everything was fresh, well-prepared, and the staff was consistently attentive, just like at their other locations. The main downside is that this location doesn't offer the same variety of drinks and desserts that places like the Little Tokyo location have. For the same price, I'd hope to get the same selection--if not more. I might come back because the quality is solid, but honestly, for the high price point, you can get better overall value at other Chubby Cattle locations. After hearing about it for a long time I finally got to try Chubby Cattle recently. The Rosemead location is tucked away in a plaza with plenty of parking. We were seated very quickly and handed a tablet to order food from. There is a limit of 6 dishes every two minutes which is plenty of food. They started us off with the A5 Miyazaki's secret which comes in a cow shaped platter. The service was very good, the servers came around frequently and discreetly to fill our waters and replace our grills. The meat was super fatty so in the beginning we struggled cooking it because the flames would shoot up from the grill, but our server helpfully suggested we place the fattier pieces near the edge of the grill. And voila! Problem solved! We enjoyed our meal, but the fattiness of the meat was a bit overwhelming for us towards the end, so I recommend having some kimchi and tomatoes as a palate cleanser. Though I did find myself wishing they had the pickled radish slices often found in kbbq places. At the end of the meal they came by with some melon bars for dessert. I wad very satisfied. Not sure why people ranting and raving about Chubby Cattle BBQ. With all the hypes, we came here to check it out. This location only have one set menu of $66 for nonmembers and $5.00 off each for members (you and 1 guess.). The wagyu cuts of meat was so, so. The quality is not there at all. Once you are seated, they will bring an automatic variety of special meat tray, and you pick additional dishes. The veggies selection is quite limited. King oyster mushrooms and thinly sliced zucchini and lettuce. That was the extend of vegetables. Re-fill or new selections on a tablet ands the servers will bring it out to your table. Unlike other BBQ place, the dipping sauces were pretty bland. Some brown sauce with sesame seeds, light soy sauce, dry rub spices and salt&pepper. You 70 minutes to order and eat, after that they will take the table away so you cannot order any additional items and they will kick you out if you stayed longer than 90 mins. I wonder if the so, so quality of meat is related to this location only. Can't bring myself to go to another locations to see if the meat quality is better and waste more money and calories. Today was our first time visiting Chubby Cattle. Initially I was a little skeptical about all of the fantastic reviews, but it lived up to all the great press! The portion sizes are perfect to allow you to try a large variety of their menu. All of the servers are super attentive and personable. The meats are super high quality, extremely fresh and flavorful! Even all of the sides are tasty and better than I expected. I was exceptionally impressed with their stone pot bibimbop. For the meats, the marinated skirt steak was my favorite, of which I think we ordered 6 of them! My kids loved their desserts; the Swiss roll, egg tarts (super hot and fresh), as well as the Melona ice cream bars. Once your place the order, the servers are super quick in having your dishes out. The only thing I wished they had more of was space. The booths are a little cramped for a party of 5, and the restaurant seems to have difficulty accommodating larger parties, but we will definitely be back! read more

If there will ever be a place I miss, it might be Chubby Cattle in Monterey Park. But if there is service I'll ever miss, it will be the excellent service from the waitstaff at Chubby Cattle especially from our favorite waitress/hostess Ady. She is consummately the warmest person I've met who is constantly running around and serving every table around her to try to make everyone's experience exceptional and memorable. She is the loudest during birthdays, the one who always shouts when she sees customers coming in to sit down, and always smiling behind her mask no matter how busy the restaurant is buzzing. Aside from the service, the food is still exceptional. Earlier last year, they were hit with a bit of bad PR, but since then the restaurant is exceptionally clean and their food quality remains unmatched. The food is delicious, our favorite being the ootoro (both the A5 Miyazaki and the regular m9). The cuts of beef here are exceptional, though the Wagyu ribeye while juicy can be a bit tougher. What's still amazing is since we've been here so many times, the appetizer menu continues to evolve. Whenever we come into Chubby we are always impressed that the menu contains both old favorites like the truffle fries and newer items like Wagyu beef tendon stew. Their dessert menu has recently expanded to include egg tarts from Patisserie Too a small Alhambra business that they prominently feature along new matcha crepe cake. Anyways, it's so unfortunate we are moving out because we enjoy this restaurant so much, but when we're in town we will come back to our second home at Chubby Cattle.
