Hot take but Eat's is the best ayce in socal. Quality = fire Service = fast Ambience = modern and clean Price = pretty standard in comparison to most other ayce spots in SoCal but quality is wayyyyyy better imo. Today, Chaw (and plenty of other staff members) took care of my parents and did a great job of making sure we had our stomachs full, thirst quenched, and soy sauced. I noticed that they also recently remodeled and even added tablets to order from which made this experience a surprise and even more satisfied than we always are dining here. The sushi at EAT's was okay! Their fish to rice ratio is good but their fish comes out warm which is a bit concerning considering it's raw fish. Their sides and other rolls were decent! My favorite were their baked mussels, salmon collar and their crispy spicy tuna rice. Service was excellent! We received our orders quickly and our server was attentive! Liked the quality of their fish. Was fresh and yummy. The carpaccios had a good sauce that complimented the sashimi. Poke salad was really flavorful. You order everything from the ipad but the servers were still super helpful. They kept giving us more wasabi and ginger when we ran out, or when we needed more napkins. They were really attentive. Came here recently with a friend for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I'm not always a fan of AYCE sushi because I'm kind of a sushi snob, and quality definitely matters to me lol. But I have to say, this place does AYCE really well. Everything is ordered through a tablet, which makes it easy to keep track of what you've ordered. I also like that they offer a light rice option, and most of their rolls only come with 4 pieces. That way you're not stuck eating a huge roll and can try a lot more variety. The service was friendly, and the food came out surprisingly fast throughout the meal. I guess what I'm trying to say is, if you're looking for AYCE sushi in the SGV, I think this spot takes the crown. I do understand that they were worried that the AYCE table would share their food with them, but multiple tables over seemed excessive. I'm a big fan of Eat's Sushi's a la carte location in Costa Mesa so I was excited to try their AYCE location. The restaurant was spacious and clean, and I liked that you could order either on the tablet or with a paper menu. We went with the premium AYCE. The fish was fresh, the rice texture was great, and I loved that you could order the nigiri with less rice. Our favorites were the scallop, halibut, and pepper salmon. Everything was good but I do wish they had a bigger selection of nigiri. I also liked that the rolls come in 4 pieces instead of 8 so it's easier to try more without getting full too fast. I'd probably skip the carpaccio though since it was completely drowned in truffle oil and that was pretty much all I could taste. Thanks Vincent and our other servers, who were attentive, communicative, and always made sure we had everything we needed. Ordering is done through an iPad, where you can place orders in timed rounds before submitting the next one. It was simple and easy to use. The food came out pretty fast. The quality of the fish was excellent. We ordered a lot of sashimi, and everyone's favorite was the peppered salmon (seared salmon with pepper and a bit of chili oil). It melts in your mouth! We loved it so much that we ordered 30+ pieces every round. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back. We came in tonight after using the waitlist which was a little less than 30 minutes for 2 people (joined around 7:45, seated at 8:10). We were seated promptly but then it took 15 minutes for our waitress to start us on the tablet. Once we ordered, the food came out very quickly. My favorite were the albacore carpaccio and the ex-girlfriend roll. We upgraded to premium but weren't a fan of many of the premium items that we ordered. The seared tuna on premium was basically cooked through making the bites very tough. The scallops on premium were so drenched in truffle that they were unpleasant to eat. Our waitress checked on us only once in the hour & 45 min we were seated. I had to wave her down to get our check. We were there pretty close to closing and it wasn't very full so I was surprised that the service was so poor. As for the ambiance, the music was quite loud. What a hidden gem in Alhambra! I don't usually go to AYCE sushi places and I don't think I could eat enough to justify the cost but I am glad that I did this time. I did notice their lunch ayce was only $29.99 which is not bad at all. The rules for all you can eat here is you get two hours to order three rounds with unlimited sushi. At first, I was worried that three rounds is kind of limited but I guess I just have to order a lot every time. But one could not waste food as they charge $1 for each piece you do not eat. I did order everything I want in my first round. They ran out of yellowtail collar so I got the grilled salmon collar instead. All the sushi was fresh and delicious. They really don't give you a lot of sushi rice and instead a lot of fish. This is really great value! The funny thing was I really enjoyed the avocado rolls as the avocado was really buttery. The grilled salmon collar was crisp outside and soft inside and especially tasty with the sauce. I was really bumped that I only have appetite for one round and I was full. I really think this place has quality fish and offers good value of ayce sushi. I will definitely come back when I feel like I have enough appetite for ayce sushi. read more

This is a new restaurant on Main and so we had to give it a try. The price for AYCE was so affordable with the amount of selection you get. We had the regular AYCE and it looks like you have 3 rounds to order. We only made it to round 2 anyway. The interior was well designed and felt like we were transported into a little section of Japan. The servers were very attentive and all the food came out very quickly. Everything was delicious and I love how the rolls are only 4-5 pieces. We mainly ordered sushi, but their hand rolls were good, their garlic edamame was really good and I also enjoyed their Hamachi collar. I was also surprised to find their yellow sushi to be very fresh and sweet. Highly recommend this place and would suggest coming in between rush hour so that you can be seated quickly. Great service. Waited about 30 minutes for a 5:30 group of 5 on a Saturday. Waiters always checked if we wanted to order more to get the most food within the 2 hour time limit. Every nigiri was decent but the yellow tail and tuna nigiri weren't as fresh. Tasted like it was in the process of being defrosted and had a watery taste. Not fishy but also not great. Hot Items: Tempura takoyaki and katsu were amazing and so crispy. Baked mussels weren't baked long enough so kind of watery and not a crust like other AYCE sushi spots. However this place is not the case, the fish is pretty fresh and I love that the nigiri pieces are not a giant ball of rice if anything it's the opposite and as a person who has been cutting back on carbs I totally appreciate this..
