My husband and I had such a wonderful experience at AYCE Sushi Alhambra! From the moment we walked in, the staff was friendly, attentive, and made us feel so welcome. The sushi was incredibly fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared, with a great variety to choose from. Every dish came out quickly, and everything we tried was delicious. We truly enjoyed spending quality time together over such an amazing meal. The atmosphere was clean, comfortable, and perfect for a date night. I'm a big fan of Eat's Sushi's a la carte location in Costa Mesa so I was excited to try their AYCE location. The restaurant was spacious and clean, and I liked that you could order either on the tablet or with a paper menu. We went with the premium AYCE. The fish was fresh, the rice texture was great, and I loved that you could order the nigiri with less rice. Our favorites were the scallop, halibut, and pepper salmon. Everything was good but I do wish they had a bigger selection of nigiri. I also liked that the rolls come in 4 pieces instead of 8 so it's easier to try more without getting full too fast. I'd probably skip the carpaccio though since it was completely drowned in truffle oil and that was pretty much all I could taste. The service could've been a little more attentive but overall I'd recommend it if you're looking for simple quality nigiri! read more

I came here for Saturday lunch and was seated right away, which was a great start to the experience. Service was excellent! Thanks Vincent and our other servers, who were attentive, communicative, and always made sure we had everything we needed. Ordering is done through an iPad, where you can place orders in timed rounds before submitting the next one. It was simple and easy to use. The food came out pretty fast. The quality of the fish was excellent. We ordered a lot of sashimi, and everyone's favorite was the peppered salmon (seared salmon with pepper and a bit of chili oil). It melts in your mouth! We loved it so much that we ordered 30+ pieces every round. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely come back. The Salmon Blue Crab was also really good--it's like a tuna stuffed in fatty salmon and you could eat so much of it without feeling sick after! What a hidden gem in Alhambra! I don't usually go to AYCE sushi places and I don't think I could eat enough to justify the cost but I am glad that I did this time. I did notice their lunch ayce was only $29.99 which is not bad at all. The rules for all you can eat here is you get two hours to order three rounds with unlimited sushi. At first, I was worried that three rounds is kind of limited but I guess I just have to order a lot every time. But one could not waste food as they charge $1 for each piece you do not eat. I did order everything I want in my first round. They ran out of yellowtail collar so I got the grilled salmon collar instead. All the sushi was fresh and delicious. They really don't give you a lot of sushi rice and instead a lot of fish. This is really great value! The funny thing was I really enjoyed the avocado rolls as the avocado was really buttery. The grilled salmon collar was crisp outside and soft inside and especially tasty with the sauce. I was really bumped that I only have appetite for one round and I was full. I really think this place has quality fish and offers good value of ayce sushi. I will definitely come back when I feel like I have enough appetite for ayce sushi. read more

Went to eat on a weekday night with my family! We got seated pretty quickly and our food came out really fast. I've already been here several times with my friends and have enjoyed Eat's with them too. My family is usually really picky with which restaurants to go to so I decided to take them here. Luckily, my family ended up loving it here and can't wait to come back. The whole place was very spacious and had a calm environment in comparison to other AYCE sushi places where the waiters are constantly trying to pick up the pace. Our server, Samantha was very attentive and was able to take the time to make sure we enjoyed everything we eat! While I was at work tonight, my wife called and said we were going to eat at Eat's AYCE Sushi. I finished everything and am eager to go to the restaurant. We used the device to order all of the food items and checked to see if we could get a complimentary can of soda when we checked in. Cindy, our server, assists us. I show her that we received three cans of sodas when we checked in. I didn't know that I had only checked in three phones, even though I thought I had shown her four. I then questioned her about the fourth can of soda. I only check three phones, she remarked, not in a good way. She humiliated us for the stupid can of soda and went back to complain about us to her manager and coworkers! Her voice was so loud that even we were sitting far away, and she was complaining about us. The manager came over and spoke with me about the incident, and I complained to the manager because for the stupid can of soda she made a big deal out of it and complain about us...I check in my fourth phone to the manager. Even though we used the device to order a lot of food, half of it never showed up. When I asked the different server, she suggested that I place another order, which I did, but half of it still hadn't arrived. This will be our last dinner here because the dinner turns out to be very disappointing. JR, your employee Cindy is a terrible server who lacks customer service skills. Rather than making customers happy, she makes them upset to the point where they do not want to dine here again. You must take action! read more

This is a new restaurant on Main and so we had to give it a try. The price for AYCE was so affordable with the amount of selection you get. We had the regular AYCE and it looks like you have 3 rounds to order. We only made it to round 2 anyway. The interior was well designed and felt like we were transported into a little section of Japan. The servers were very attentive and all the food came out very quickly. Everything was delicious and I love how the rolls are only 4-5 pieces. We mainly ordered sushi, but their hand rolls were good, their garlic edamame was really good and I also enjoyed their Hamachi collar. I was also surprised to find their yellow sushi to be very fresh and sweet. Highly recommend this place and would suggest coming in between rush hour so that you can be seated quickly. First time here with my family and our experience here was not that good. Not that good because we ordered about 8-10 orders of sushi and it took at least 15-20mins for each order to come out and on our table. It just kind of took a while and we weren't even halfway with our list of orders. But, besides that "long waiting" part. I've been back here a few times and it never disappoints! I started to love sushi more recently and Eat's is a great spot to enjoy that. They do seem short staffed so I feel like getting help or ordering was hard. But they have so much on their menu and plenty of seating. Our server, JP, was such an amazing worker; he was super quick, attentive, and very nice. The restaurant itself is really big and I enjoy all of their menu items! This is my go to AYCE sushi spot right now. Fish-- usually very fresh. Occassionally we got a few less fresh fish, especially on weekdays. Quality is great for the price. They have weekday lunch special, and weekday night special now. Kids prices determined by height. My 9 year old is full price now. My 7 year old is $19.99 weekend dinner. Sushi doesn't have too much rice. They have some good no rice rolls. Service is usually good for an AYCE. They sometimes forget the items or bring the wrong ones, but it is compariable, or a little bit bettee compared to similar restaurants. read more

We had to use the waitlist tracker and it lets us check our line in the yelp app. It was a Sunday night so kind of busy but also not everyone in our party arrived yet. Once we got in, the place was very nice, the decorations were very beautiful near the front. Our table was near the back on the left side and we got busy ordering the AYCE menu! Unfortunately my son was too tall and we had to pay half price for him, but he had a few bites of rice and teriyaki chicken... I got almost everything I wanted to try! It was aesthetic & looked clean. Our favorite was the salmon & carpaccio. I also like their hand rolls, not too much rice & good amount of fish. The lady that was serving us was a bit rude or maybe just blunt. She had a straight face while interacting with us & just felt off putting as we spoke to her politely. Maybe having a bad day or just didn't like us. On the first round, we got a few items and we waited about 10-15 minutes until a different server asked if we wanted to order more but we let him know we were still waiting on our nigiri sushi we didn't receive yet. It accidentally was not put in, but wasn't a big deal. A good amount of sushi had a truffle oil taste to me. Review is a bit overdue as I dined in on 01/28/26. 5/5 for their service and the salmon nigiri, spicy tuna crispy rice, yellowtail collar, salmon collar, and baked green mussel. I think you're good to go getting the regular set, my least favorite pieces were the premium sashimi items. Salmon nigiri is definitely the top item here, I was not a fan of the pepper tuna and pepper salmon as it felt like the pepper specks were too large and overpowering for the seared fish. Bathroom was clean too, and I was visiting every 15 minutes or so because I got full during the first round. Pretty spacious in the restaurant, ambience is casual and unpretentious. Sushi were nice size without being filled with rice and we ordered a variety or rolls which come in 4 pieces so you can try more. Everything was pretty good except my salmon Skin hand roll which the skin was overcooked and really hard to chew. A good variety of appetizers, salads, fried/cooked items and sushi/rolls. Came on a Friday a 7:00 and had to wait about 40 minutes for a table for 2. Convenient free parking right around the corner! We opted for the premium option and ordered one of every item on the premium side. I was surprised to find myself getting full from that first round, it was quite a lot! From the premium menu, my favorites were salmon blue crab and their tuna sashimi. The soft shelled crab was one of my least favorite (too sweet and salty). Had to force myself a bit to finish it. The rest of the menu was good. Good fish to rice ratio. Each round did take a bit of time to come out, and the servers weren't not as available when we tried to put our next order down, but not too badly. Overall I had a great experience. Been coming here since the days it was Tomomi, and I love seeing how Eat's has evolved with the revamped menu. It's always a good sign when a place reinvents itself but keeps the quality consistent -- and that's exactly what they've done. We went with the premium AYCE option, and it was absolutely worth it. The ingredients are fresh and everything is made to order, so each round comes out tasting just as good as the first. I mainly stuck with sashimi and no-rice rolls, and the cuts were thick, clean, and buttery. You can really taste the quality in the fish -- no shortcuts here. The premium selections are where it really shines. If you're debating whether to upgrade, do it. The added options make the experience feel elevated and totally justify the price. Bonus: the staff was genuinely impressed (and maybe a little amused) at how much I managed to put away solo. Great service, great quality, and truly a bang-for-your-buck AYCE spot. Very good ayce spot that we were recently introduced to by a friend. Love their ayce premium selection, including unlimited fresh wasabi. The soft shell crab and sashimi selections were all delicious. We maxed out the premium plates and ordered very little from their regular sushi menu afterwards. By ordering all the premium items you mind find yourself getting full before ordering the regular rolls and sushi pieces. I found it odd that an order of sushi was only 1 piece per order, most restaurants have a minimum of 2 pieces per order. You can order more food through various wait staff instead of waiting your waiter/waitress. Also reservations are available as there can be a wait. The parking is an issue as it gets busy and hard to find a spot in the rear garage, parking lots across the street at the movie theater or down the street was our best option. read more

First off, the staff were really nice and constantly checked if we needed anything. It is also always nice to walk into an establishment that is gorgeous. It sets the mood for the entire meal. As for the food, the fish and sushi itself are pretty good quality. All the appetizers are done exceptionally well too. I love the variety and options. The no rice rolls were some of my favorite. I do also appreciate the baked rolls for those who might not like sashimi as much. The rice to fish ratio is also perfect. It is really affordable especially if you go during a weekday as well. Eat's AYCE Sushi is located on Main St. with convenient parking structures nearby. We came for lunch on a weekend a little after noon and was seated right away. The servers were nice but at times, it was hard to get their attention as it appeared to be busy. We opted for the regular which included 3 rounds of ordering. We ordered nigiris, such as salmon, tuna, yellowtail, scallop, and eel. For cut rolls, we got spicy tuny roll, Albacore Delight Roll, and In & Out Salmon roll. For sides, we got miso soup, seaweed salad, spicy garlic edamame, shishito peppers, and spicy tuna crispy rice. We also ordered poke salad, cucumber wrap, and yellowtail collar. We enjoyed our food but the quality isn't over the top amazing. However, I still think it's worth a try. The yellowtail collar did take a while for it to come out. The order arrived near the end of the meal and they seemed to have waited until several parties ordered it and cooked it together before bringing it out. There was also easy parking in a parking structure close by to the restaurant. - Food - The food was good for the price that someone would pay for premium AYCE sushi. The pieces of the sushi were cut thicker than other AYCE sushi's places. My favorite were the scallop sashimi, sweet shrimp nigiri, fried shrimp heads, and fried soft shell crabs. The friend shrimp head was nice and crunchy, meaty and creamy. The soft shell crabs had a wonderful crunch to it. They were different than other AYCE sushi's that I have been to. The rolls that we ordered were all good and different than the other places we have been to. I was surprised by the selection of non-rice rolls that they had. The sushi-to-rice ratio is perfect, and every bite was delicious and flavorful. They offer a wide variety of sushi, cut rolls, hand rolls, small plates, and appetizers, so we didn't feel the need to upgrade to the premium menu. That said, after such a great experience, I'm definitely tempted to try the premium options next time.
