The food here is great, but if you don't eat spicy food, you stay need to place your order and then tell a staff that you don't want spicy. There's an option on the app, but the app specifically tells you that you need to tell a server directly. I've done that every time. As for the food, most of the skewers are served all at once. The AC is blasted so the food gets cold really fast. So you either have to eat really fast or order small portions and gradually add. I've been to other skewer restaurants where they use tealights under the metal platter to keep the skewers warm, but they didn't do that here.

came here again but ordered different things on their menu. Tried their oyster and it was fresh and tasty with marinated sautéed onions and garlic on top. Oyster was not overcooked. It was still soft and sweet with oyster juices. I also tried their instant noodles that were pan fried with veggies and sausages. It had good flavor with good seasoning.

I m very sad to see good place turn bad. At this point, I have been here several times. On my last visit, I got here around 11pm. Had to wait for the table around 15 minutes. Service was the same. Food came out fast but my one and only favorite meat quality went downhill. Beef had a lot of chewy parts which indicated inferior meat quality and I was not happy about it. All the side dishes were empty too. I have money left over in the gift card to visit one last time to give this place another chance. Hopefully it was just one off night.

Not to be confused with Nice 2 Meet U a plaza down, because I was at one point. I really liked all their skewers, they came out hot and fresh after we ordered through their qr code system. They also have traditional broiled fish, but we stuck to the skewers, which were crispy and meaty! My favorite were the beef skewers and scallops.

One of my fav chinese skewers spot! Skewers r perfectly seasoned and not hard. The scallop also isnt too salty :) service was pretty fast too.

Unfortunately have to update my review as I found out they don't have the snack bar open until later in the evenings this time around the potato swirl skewers also weren't evenly cooked so ended up soggy on some parts, crispy on others, and I could tell the crunch was from the potato being uncooked rather than crispy like a chip. I'd still come back in the future but probably only for later night meals.

I tried Meet U BBQ a while back and was always amazed by the quality and quantity of food for the prices! My family and I love the appetizers bar, but they change it out pretty frequently, and some of the dishes like the sugared tomatoes and pickled cucumbers don't seem to be there anymore. The snacks are still fun to get though! I also recommend people try the grilled fish, the stinky tofu, and the scallops. Those are definitely slept on here! Overall, service is pretty quick and the vibe is very family-friendly. I typically park across the street at the San Gabriel Superstore because parking can be hard in that lot.

My sister and brother in law brought me to this place one night cause they were hungry and bored. The food was delicious and everything came out great. What was disappointing though is, they hyped up this little side bar that is free with a bunch of goodies. When we got there, 90% of it was gone... guess we got there too late. This is definitely a more casual place to drink, hang out, and eat street food. Definitely try the tinfoil clam which was so good, I forgot to take a picture. Oops. The staff was also super nice. We messed up an order and they were kind enough to cancel the order and let us change it to the correct one.

This place is such a nice hidden gem! I also think we came on a lucky day where they hired a balloon maker that gave everyone free balloons. They have a salad bar that was kind of hidden and we didnt even realize was there because we were seated near the front. Honestly had a great experience, they already cook the skewers for you so you don't have to worry about grilling. The building is located in a popular plaza that I have been to a countless amount of times, and parking is super easy! If you dont find parking in the main lot, they have an underground structure.

Came for a friend's birthday. Not really a fan of skewers so I didn't expect much. It was just ok in my opinion.

I have never experienced such a frustrating and illogical queuing system before. At first, I was ranked 5th in line. Then I moved up to 4th, but somehow went back to 5th again. I thought I might have misread it, so I didn't pay much attention at the time. Later, after entering the restaurant, when there were only four parties ahead, I was already 2nd in line. Then a group of four arrived. They even asked me at the door if the place was closed, and I politely told them it wasn't and even helped guide them to scan the code to join the queue. However, after they got seated, I was still 2nd in line -- which means I was skipped. After waiting for nearly half an hour, I went in to ask why, and the response I received was simply, "because they are a party of four." This means I was effectively skipped twice during the entire process. Is this kind of queuing rule really fair? Is your system actually based on any reasonable logic?

If you're looking for a late night snack, this is the place I would definitely give a try. They have a large selection of food ranging from skewers starting at $4 and also full on entrees. After 9pm, they also have a BOGO pitcher beer deal. You have to menu They also have a snack area that you can get some fruit, desserts, peanuts and crunchy wontons. It's also very good. We got a various types of skewers, some cold dishes, and tried their spicy duck blood. Everything was really good and great place to chat and hang out with friends. Service was friendly and attentive.

I can't believe I haven't made a review on this one! Always good for late night eats!! Skewers, steamed fish and even frog!! This is always a go to after the movies, theatre, or whatever else is late night. They have a free appetizer bar. Items change from time to time, but we go for the chicken feet! There's also salted peanuts, shrimp chips, seaweed salad, fried wonton chips, cold Chinese sweet soups, sliced oranges, and others. Go to items.... Lamb skewers, intestines, eggplant, and pork trotters. We pick other items to try too! We had their steamed whole fish one time and was on point! Remember to get rice with that! One day I'll go back to try the frog. I think all items would all go better with beer, but I'm always the driver. One day..I'll have a friend drive! They have those tall cylinder that hold the beers and put it at your table to dispense yourself.

I tried~ *6.9% Sharlie, a hazy IPA. *8.5% Mothman, a DDH hazy IIPA. *10.5% Yacumama, a hazy IIPA with pineapple & coconut notes. ~I liked them all! They were all nice and refreshing on a scorching day. I brought my laptop to do a little work while I sipped and the staff was really nice about directing me to outlets. I actually had my first drink on their patio outside but it got soooo~ hot so I was thankful for all the indoor seating. Clean bathrooms, beers can be bought in cans for purchase and I saw some people just dipping in to grab & go. They had a couple of dedicated spots which filled quickly and then I reckon other parking may be a bit harder to find. Prices are good, staff is great and most importantly beer is cool & inventive. The pandan IPA was tapped out when I came in but I will surely be in again to try more.

Located in the industrial area of San Gabriel, Ogopogo highlights their ube beer and food. Sad to say, they do not make a pandan hazy IPA anymore, which was my main reason for coming. I had no idea! We parked in the faded parking lot in the front of the brewery. The parking is unclear as for the opposite side says no parking. We walked in, and felt very cold, since it was a rainy/cloudy day. They had their doors open that led towards he outside seating and the front entrance, so a breeze was going through. On a Sunday afternoon, it was not busy at all. We took a small look around the brewery and didn't see anyone. The beertender was actually hidden towards the left and wasn't near the register. She didn't say anything nor greet us. In fact, I don't know if she said anything at all. We ordered out two beers and went to sit down. I found out that she was counting her minutes to leave and another beertender took her spot. We sat in the back where the music wasn't as loud so we can do some work. I ended up going back up to order their hot dog happy hour: a Boeman and a hot dog for $10. I then ordered myself a hot dog for $5 in addition to a Hazy IPA. the second beertender was a tad nicer than the first. She explained to me the discontinued beer, which I didn't know about. The hot dog was pretty good for the cost. It's bigger than a hot dog you'd get at a stadium and it was definitely half the price. They had ketchup packets and offered onions as a topping. As for their beers, it was decently priced with the haze I was expecting. They had a bigger crowd of people starting at 6 when we left. The parking lot was filled on both sides and people created their own lot with their cars. It's just odd how no one really comes throughout the day on a Sunday. They could offer more foods, snacks, or incentives to get people coming, but I didn't see any of that. The workers seemed not to care too much either, so that's a bummer. Again, lots of potential, but the care needs to be put in. I probably won't be back.

The Brewery has a large parking lot however it gets full pretty quickly, if you get lucky you can also find some parking in the neighborhood street adjacent, or there is street parking for 2 hours on the main street. Yesterday was a pretty packed day, the main back patio with umbrellas was packed with people as there was an artist doing doggy portraits on that side. The back patio is disconnected from the brewery so you have to walk back and forth if you want to refill. I would say that side is more in the sun, so even with umbrellas it's a bit hotter on that side. The brewery is pretty cool inside, they have two separate bars to order from, one is the Beer bar, and one is the coffee/tea/ other things bar. I tried their Shibuya rice lager which was ice cold and very refreshing for a hot day. Our group also ordered the Really big pretzel, and Nachos which were pretty delicious. Finally, there is the front patio which faces the main street, and was fully in the shade. It is quite small with about 4 tables, but the sidewalk has quite a bit of foot traffic, and this is where we were able to set up camp with the fosters to mingle and meet with people who wanted to meet the doggies. When a breeze goes by, it is so refreshing and it's pretty nice on that front patio! I love that Wild Parrot Brewing company is dog friendly and the staff is extremely friendly and attentive.
