Very upsetting experience. I've come here a bunch of times in the past and had great experiences, but today was a huge let down. I ordered 3 banana milk shakes, 1 chimango and a tostilocos bomba. First let down, the milkshakes came in small water cups instead of the one on display that looked bigger, maybe they ran out so better luck next time. Final let down, the biggest was the Tosti Locos. I was given a box half the size and it did not have pineapple or watermelon. They pretty much gave me a half order of tosti locos with hot cheetos on top and charged me full price for a bomba. I'd like to believe they were low on supplies and this won't happen again but I'm not convinced I should give them another chance, especially since I just got cheated $30 during quarantine where money is tight. read more

Worse Place Ever!!!!!! I used to go to this place all the time and they were good before it was my favorite spot. I moved further away came today to order bunch of stuff for family. Must be new owners place sucks now. Save your money don't go! Elote: I bought was over cooked they went super cheap on cheese,mayo, and chili Cha-Fresa: was made But I am assuming by a type of syrup had no strawberries whatsoever in it tasted way to sweet. Torta Carnitas: SUCKS- Meat was dry as hell like rocks didn't even eat it Aqua de Sandía(watermelon): Tasted Like a jolly rancher. You can tell by the color consistency that it was all artificial there is no film left behind on the bottom from an actual watermelon being used. All items bought today were thrown in the trash know one was able to enjoy it. $60 went down the damn drain!!!!!!! read more

The Tortas de lomo and Aguas frescas were superb! The torta was perfectly balanced with all the ingredients and the bolillo roll was perfectly toasted. The fruit salad had a great mix (Not old left over fruit like in some places) Juicy sweet fruits. Topped with the works! All I can say...worth every dollar & more! Came here from a recommendation for chamangos, I placed my phone order at 2:58pm, was told it would be 10-15 minutes for my food to be ready. My food wasn't ready until 3:30pm. I ordered a chamango & when it was given to me it was watered down & warm, barely a drop of chamoy & maybe 3 chaka chakas. I also ordered 2 cuerito tostadas & when we tried eating them we couldn't pick them up because the tostada had turned into a tortilla (I live a few minutes from this place so don't blame the drive). Also ordered a torta especial which was great. Don't get me wrong the food was good aside from the soggy tostada, but the drinks weren't. They need to manage their orders in a more timely manner so the food won't go bad by the time it is given. The food was not worth the $40 I spent. read more

The elote here is bomb!!!!! I like that it's real and not canned. I usually get elote and tostilocos but I'm not going to lie they are definitely stingy with the tostilocos! Like they are good and all but they give you a tiny amount. If I want tostilocos I go to fruitlandia because they hook it up! Mounds of pepenio,cueritos, etc. Here nooooooo they stingy! Like that profit margin for tostilocos is crazy so let's step up that portion size. I'll still get them if I'm here but always leave feeling hopped. Hey Yelpers this place is awesome! East County gets a lot of flack for not having healthy alternatives so here you go! Everything from fresh juices, smoothies, fruit salads and tortas, plus some. I'm originally from the Imperial Valley and I love Cardenas/Northgate type places. These fresh goodies are staples for us and now being able to find this in the heart of La Mesa is a pure joy for me.
