I grew up going to Chuck E. Cheese and i loved it. Today i saw in my son's eyes the same expression i had. The smile on his face running around and playing in the tunnel we're priceless. We arrived on a Wednesday afternoon around 11:45 and it wasn't as packed as it would typically be on weekends. This location is very spacious and has more rides for the toddlers than the Fairfax location. There was plenty of variety to choose from! They also had the tunnel which was nice to get their energy out. My two and a half year old had a great time along with his cousins who is the same age as him and a 4 year old. We ended up getting the all you can eat lunch special $6.99 unlimited pizza, salad, and desert. Not bad! We love chucky cheese and this location is our new fave! read more

If you're trying to figure out what to do for your kid's birthday party, do not be run off by the low rating driven down by people with bizarre expectations of a calm, efficiently served meal and perfect gaming. We just had my kid's 4th birthday party there and it was perfect: * The pizza ain't bad! Beats bowling alley pie. Really, it's fine. The kids will love it and the grown-ups won't mind. * The wings aren't bad either! Get a tray for parents who are super picky about pizza. And a veggie tray so you feel slightly better about yourselves. * Your party coordinator will take care of everything, make your kid feel center of attention during the cake and birthday show, and box up all your leftovers. Our girl Shania was outstanding, and the manager kept cruising by to ensure all was well, too. * The games are almost all 1 token/point each, not several like D&B, so the basic 30 point play card will keep most kids plenty busy for the whole party. The birthday kid's 100 point card means you'll be back. The games all worked fine for us, and yes, there is Skee-ball. * A guy who surely doesn't get paid enough dresses as a giant mouse to high-five your kid. And the ticket vortex tunnel is pretty fun to watch. * Cake! It's tasty as cake. They put candles on it so you don't even need to bring your own. * The $4 party favors bags actually have some decent junk in them, and while you could assemble cheaper yourself, God why would you want to? * You can reserve all these details online, and the best part: YOU DON'T HAVE TO CLEAN YOUR HOUSE AFTER THE PARTY. People complaining about this place need to check their attitudes. If you don't expect chaos here, you're not ready for children. I ordered from them recently on Grubhub with good results. I hadn't been to a Chuck E. Cheese since I was a teenager in Tampa in the 1980s. I had no idea they were still around. I got a cauliflower crust pizza with beef, mushrooms, sausage, and tomatoes ($14.45), cinnamon sticks ($4.99), a house salad with ranch dressing ($4.99), and a can of Pepsi ($1.50). The sales tax was $1.56, the delivery fee was $2.49, the service fee was $1.99, and the tip for the driver was $6.39. I was skeptical about the cauliflower crust, but it was very good. It tasted like a regular crust but with a mild cauliflower taste. It was not as starchy or greasy as a regular pizza crust. The meal got to my place on Franconia (halfway between Rose Hill and Telegraph) in about an hour. The driver was friendly. The ingredients were fresh, especially those of the salad. Went there Wednesday Sept 4th, 2013 for my son's 1 year birthday. Wish we never went, first the service is horrible. I ordered pizza and drinks for the family and a beer for me, I was told that I had to wait for a manager to pour the beer...ok. So I waited, after a long wait the staff member tells me, we'll just have the manager bring it to you. We go sit down and all the food comes but still no beer. So I go seek the manager out, I find him and he says "I poured you beer, go get it yourself, I don't serve beer to tables". I go to the front and no one is there, beers are behind the counter and I reach back and grab them...since you know, he said to get them myself. The manager, latter identified as Tom Lester, flies off the handle. Attacks me verbally, follows us around to "make his point clear" that he will call the police on me and I can't get the beer myself....even though he told me to. Guy just wouldn't let up. I asked him to leave me and my family alone and he did...for five minutes...comes back to remind me that he was right, I was wrong, and that he reviewed the "tape" and he decided not to call the police on me because he is a nice guy. What a jerk this guy was...no customer service what so ever. Beer was warm, pizza was lousy, and 20% of the games were broken. Stay away from Alexandria Chuck E Cheese...drive the extra distance to go to a different location if you must go. read more

We went on a Tuesday evening. The place was clean and although my daughter is only 20 months so had a good time running around and playing some games. It wasn't too crowded. When we first got there they put stamps on us and didn't explain why or even say hi. Weird. Then we ordered some pizza which was kinda expensive for what you get but we expected that. The girl at the check out was checking her phone. No smile. No greeting. I thanked her and got nothing in return. How is this good service? I did get help when one of the games stole a token but other than that I was annoyed. Smile people! Greet people when they come in, acknowledge their thank you's and earn your pay. Grrr. read more

I've always had good experiences at this locations, from birthday parties to afternoons with my son. Today was no exception. Even though it's only one week into the summer, we were feeling stir crazy so I took my son to Chuck E Cheese. One of the attendants was so helpful and walked me through buying a pass, and swiped his card so we got a couple of free games. At the end, the same attendant suggested a toy we could buy with our 120 tickets. As you may know, that sounds like a lot of tickets but you can basically get a plastic ring or eraser. He traded us this cool foam rocket for the tickets, and I'm pretty sure the rocket was worth way more than that. It could be a little cleaner, and other locations seem a little more well-kept, but we've always had a good time. Even the food was pretty good at the birthday parties. And, buy the way, when I was single I never thought I would set foot in a Chuck E Cheese. read more

This location sucks! It's small, crowded, the pizza is dry, and the bathrooms are filthy. The only reason I come here is because my children enjoy it, and this location is closest to my house. I almost forgot to mention the hood boogers that frequent here. read more

This location is by far the worst I've ever been to. First, the workers there look at you like if you're annoying them. It makes you not want to ask for any help at all. I've never had a problem when my kids ran around here and never have I lost anything, but my daughters sneakers were stolen or thrown away while she was there and I asked for help in locating them and there was no luck .. Other than a few games, you can't expect much enjoyment out of chuck e cheese as an adult. But as a kid it's wonderland. This is the absolute worst chuch e cheese location i have ever been to in my life. Half their machines are broken or are out tickets. I asked multiple emoloyees to help me in recieveing the tickets i did not recieve and not one of them ever came back to help me. They definitely dont have enough employees as we waited 20 mins at the door and over 20 mins to recieve our prizes. I will never come back to this location again and will be sure to tell all my friends and family what an awful experience we had. This place is a waste of money!!! read more

Never again. I was food poisoned here. Staff is friendly, but that pales in comparison to eating unclean or old food from the salad bar. I am on paternity leave and, though I keep a clean healthy diet, I decided to take the 5 year old to play the games. It has been over a week now and I have had diarrhea about every 30 minutes, every day. Thank God she didn't eat the salad bar too, I don't wish this on anyone. 4 Stars for the pizza, fountain soda, and coupon promotions for pizza and drinks that include tokens. The place is generally as clean as you can expect for an arcade that is overrun with toddlers and teenagers. Best times for toddlers seem to be early on weekends (before lunch or for an early lunch) or on weekdays. read more

Love taking my daughter here but I remember it use to be much bigger when I was a kid

Let me start by putting out there what you are all thinking, you do not go Chuck E Cheese for the food, you go for the fun and boy does it deliver! My experience would have been delightful had I not discovered a hidden caveat of the Chuck E Cheese experience. If you have ever wondered "how deep is the ball pit" I implore you to keep reading. Now, up until the incident my experience was more than satisfactory at the establishment in question. I had tokens, pizza, I saw a mechanical mouse. It was not until I went into the ball pit that my day turned sour. When I saw the pit, I was in awe of the vibrant canape of primary colored orbs. I stowed my hard earned tickets took a prohibited running start and dove headfirst into the sea of bright colored bulbs. I broke the surface and plunged down....and down....and down. Minutes felt like hours, hours stretched into days. The further I went the faster I plunged, it was endless, bottomless, a void with nothing but darkness and cold round balls. Balls, of which the colors on them had long faded and now rolled off and around my sinking self like grey waves breaking off the bow of a charging ship through a disparaged sea. In my time under the ball pit I saw unspeakable things, horror and beauty that is difficult to put into words. The longer I drifted the more I despaired. "I had just enough tokens to get the pencil sharpener" floated through my head, the thought seemed to go in one ear slide around my skull, exit one side and then reverberate back into my head never letting me forget my cause. I had to escape. Not for myself, not for my family, my friends, but for the pencil sharpener. Thus began my climb, arduous as a task as can be I rose. Up and up for what seemed a three lifetimes I climbed and crawled. Not stopping until I saw color, then light, then I breached back into life, into air, into Chuck E. Cheese. read more

When it comes to staff, I have nothing to complain. They are young but seem to be very helpful and nice. The place is usually clean but depends on what time of the day we are talking about. However, my biggest discomfort and dissatisfaction is with customers and the staff members' inability to deal with all the mess caused by these people. (Sometimes it seems to me these customers are from another planet and I wouldn't mind calling them animals.) Of course, just like any kids' attraction in our overpopulated Washington DC area, this place is usually overcrowded on weekends and during evening hours. Unfortunately, some parents think they are coming here for a free child care so that they can enjoy their pizza while letting their kids wander around making it very annoying for others to play. Unsupervised kids, with some of them being as young as 3-4 years old, are very common. They can simply take your tickets away from you, cut in front of you, or simply push your child aside and take over the game. In that situation, you really can't say anything other than trying to locate his/her parents (good luck!). I would say almost one third of equipments are either out of order or out of prize tickets (just try to explain your kid why he didn't get any tickets even though he won something). Some equipments simply don't respond but take your coins and then try to find someone from staff to get your coins back -- good luck. In additon, this store has too many gamble-type machines that seem to be very addictive to some kids as they spend tons of coins just to win few tickets so that they can get some poor quality Chinese made cheap toys. If you really want your child to gain something that will contribute to his motor skills and knowledge, just go somewhere else. read more

The staff did not greet me at all when i walked in. No smile, no hello, no nothing. I have been there before and a young white guy by the door was very nice and friendly. The place wasn't very clean when I was there. I sat at a booth up front. I would come back to my seat and there'd be candy trash on the table top and sticky stuff on the table. The ladies up front at both the salad bar and the cash register were not friendly at all. This little girl came up beside me and asked the lady at the cash register for a bag and the lady smacked her lips together in disgust. The lady at the salad bar had an attitude when I asked a question. The only person in the staff that's friendly at all is the manager. He's the black man and I don't remember his name. The hamster wheel is more fun for adults, the tick tock clock swing is nice. My almost 3 year old daughter loves it. The beaver bubble popping game is fun. Me and my daughters are regular Chuck-E-Cheese customers at both the Herndon and Dulles Town Center locations. This is the first time we have gone to the Alexandria location and it will DEFINITELY be the last! This place is GHETTO!! I had several random kids come up to me and ask me for not 1 token but for 2 tokens. Are you kidding me?! Where are these kids parents! Ridiculous! My phone was stolen while I was playing the car racing game with my daughter. I asked the manager if he could look on the cameras and he refused. He was condescending and unhelpful. I also think it is ridiculous that they have the manager checking kids in on a Saturday night?! Doesn't he have anything better to do!! He was a jerk, about the only helpful people were the other associates that took my information down and told me they would look for my phone after closing. Who takes a mom's phone?! Seriously!
