I went three times since I've moved to San Ramon which is right next to Dublin, let's just say every time I go there it keeps getting worse worse and worser, last time had to wait for my chicken nuggets and fries for an hour and a half. I wish Ive kept my receipt and took a picture of the time but my 18 month old daughter was so hungry and I felt bad and kept asking them but at the same I felt as if they didn't hire enough employees even though it was a weekday. So finally my food came and my fries were all burnt and my nuggets too .My daughter and I couldn't even stand the smell and taste (I already knew) All I could think of is that they had us waiting that long for our food just to be burnt and tbh I was the only one ordering at that time (there was nobody in line besides me) . Sorry I only come here just for my daughter other then that I will never allow myself or daughter eat that crap food. My 3 year old daughter's birthday was this past weekend on Sunday. I was highly disappointed in the service and the whole birthday celebration experience. It sure has gone downhill since I was a kid. I always loved this place and have such fond memories of it when I was a child. The only good thing about it still are the games as they're very enjoyable for kids and it's fun to win cool prizes with the tickets that are won. I booked a reservation on their website a couple months before the party. I called them a couple days before to confirm the reservation and the food that was ordered on their website. They told me that only 1 sandwich platter was ordered when I actually had ordered 2 sampler platters as well as 2 large pizzas in addition to the sandwich platter. So, that already was not off to a very good start. Then comes the day of the party. We were all so excited and ready to have a very positive and enjoyable time. As I enter the place, I just knew it wasn't going to be what I had expected. It ended up being such a crowded, noisy, disorganized, and chaotic disaster! If you want an extremely rushed and impersonal party for your kid(s), then take them here. Our host was terrible. He didn't bring anything out to us when it was supposed to arrive, and he made us sit and wait forever just to get drinks even for the kids! I had to ask him where our drinks were. If I hadn't done that, we would've never gotten our drinks. And apparently, they ran out of pitchers! So, I had to fill up all these tiny plastic cups with water at the fountain area and carry them over to the adults. Just totally ridiculous. My daughter didn't even have time to open her gifts before they kicked us out. Also, I had originally booked the Mega Super Star package, but of course our host comes up to me and tells me that since we were out of time, I couldn't have that package anymore, so he asked me if I wanted to downgrade to the cheaper package. At that point, I just didn't even care anymore. It saved me about 100 bux which was nice because I didn't even feel like my experience was worth 50 bucks, so that was a plus. For the amount of money I paid, I expected the service to be top-notch and all my guests to be happy. However, we received the opposite treatment. The adults were extremely dissatisfied. At least the kids had a lot of fun, though. Seeing my daughter have a great time playing the games was the only enjoyable part of my whole experience. Hayward Chuck E. Cheese is a lot better. Silly me for thinking that the Dublin one would've been so much better than the Hayward one. Never will I book a party at this place again! read more

This review is for the VIP party that allows us to take over Chuck E Cheese without the public! It was super early in the morning (9- 11am) for pizza, dippin dots and cake, but it was worth it. MAJOR shout out to Tony (assistant manager maybe?) as he was amazing. He worked his tail off and was attentive to make sure all things were working for our party. The bathrooms was a complete mess from the night before and he got in there cleaned it up. Our party planner, Destiny was great, sweet and helpful but one tiny miss was not helping to serve the pizza to guests. I had to do it and it would have been nice to have gloves to serve pizza to the kids. I also had to remind her about the wind tunnel and the 1000 bonus tickets. As an event planner, I suggest having a check list that the party planners have to have so they can check off everything they need to do. However I would hold a party again there without hesitation. The best deal is the $20 coupon for 100 play points which was split among 3 kids. The place was very clean. It was noisy, but the kids all had fun. Most of the machines were working. There was one tech who was fixing them. If you ask, he will fix the machine you want to use next. The staff were very friendly. Had a really pleasant experience yesterday. Store was clean all the games worked. (Except the big horse) and an employee gave is our tokens for that ride back. Employee kam was extremely nice and helpful. This is one of my daughters favorite places and it just became one of mine as well. She goes with grandma all the time and for her 7th birthday said, "I hope I get to go to Chuck E Cheese for my birthday!" How can you deny that? It ended up being one of the best customer service experiences I've ever had! The staff went 90 miles out of their way to make her day extra special, the manager and our Hostess came out to sing with Chucky!!! We brought our 2 year old son here today when they opened because he had so much fun last time he was here. First complaint, the entrance has the wet laundry smell both times we were here. Second, about 5 machines were out of tickets and a few were out of service. We played this game and hit the jackpot of 65 tickets but only 5 tickets came out. So, we went to the counterdesk, told the manager "Amber" and without saying anything back to us, she handed us 2 "25 tickets" vouchers and walked away. That was extremely rude and disrespectful of her as if she can't acknowledge our issue and respond to us in words, especially in a family-friendly environment. read more

Booked my son's 2nd birthday party here this past weekend. They have convenient online booking and you get bonus tokens for having your event on a Sunday and for booking online. The party went according to plan - set up on time, pizzas/food ordered and delivered to our table on time. Our hostess was great! If you use the online coupons you can also save on pizzas, drinks and tokens. We had more than enough food forand tokens for the kids and adults. Although we only had the space reserved for 2 hours, we were able to stay a lot longer. Of course, the kids had a blast. And this Chuck E. Cheese wasn't as crowded as others I've been to. I would just like to say that I really appreciate the excellent service here. I've taken my 3 year old son here a handful of times and have always been greeted by friendly and helpful staff! Today we were the very first people here and had the whole place to ourselves for at least 30 minutes. There was a man going around to the machines, I think emptying out the token boxes and replacing the tickets, he was very very nice and gave us a few tokens and tickets for free. Everyone we encountered was awesome. And the place is clean. Highly recommend! read more

We ordered one large pepperoni pizza at 6:49pm on a Friday night--wasn't even busy--and it is now 7:39pm and they finally brought out our pizza cold, and after 10 other people got their pizza before us (who ordered after us). I actually saw what was to be our pizza sitting on the counter in the kitchen for 15 minutes before they brought it out. We sent it back and they actually refunded us, which is the least they can do, and hence the 2 stars for doing the right thing. read more

Worst part you load all your earned tickets in machine and no receipt at the end. Complained and waited 10 mins near the machine, no one came to help, asked again waited another 10 mins, still no help. No help talking to manager, they don't respect their customer or other people's time. Btw, you just lost a weekly customer who would spend $70--80 every week on food and games. After reading the reviews I figured that going there would be a bust, but my sister and I took our 4 year old cousin for his birthday. He had a blast, and so did we! I wish there was more of a play area, but it was great. My cousin spent most of his time playing the arcade games and i was hoping he would have played in the tunnels more. The staff were really nice and the place was as clean as it could be for housing a bunch of dirty little kids. I was impressed when I saw a guy cleaning the plastic tunnels though. Another bonus was that they have caffeine free diet Pepsi in the fountain, which is really hard to find. Let me tell you, don't expect the pizza to be good though. Next time I go I'm definitely getting the salad bar. I also really liked that they stamp you and your kid with matching numbers when you enter, and they actually check it when you leave. I dont' understand reviewers ripping this place becasue of what it is; a place for kids to play games, make niose, have fun, that also has beer and pizza (and a salad bar..?) for the parents. I've got a 3yo and 7yo. we went there yesterday as reward/incentive after they picked up all their toys spread all over the house. Print the coupon from the cec web site I got the large pizza 4 drinks and 120 tokens and a large beer for just under $50 with tax. We killed 3hours, they ate lunch - pizza but substituted apple juice and milk for sodas and a had a good time. I did use my android app white noise generater and headphones to take the edge off the noise in there but really didn't need it. It's further drive for us to go to Dublin over Hayward which is maybe worth the extra 15 minutes to get separation from the gangland element in the flatlands. Hard to believe this but I rather agree with some of the other reviewers that CEC has 'bad kids' (aka bad parents) that drag bad language, bullying, petty larceny,, into this kids world. read more

Love the remodel, hated that wall separator, and just overall look, looks much more open and clean. Place is always packed wall to wall, good reason, kids know where they want to go to have fun. I like this place better than others because one, all the games are only ONE token. I am so tired of putting four tokens for one credit, give me a break. They have kid size games, I played this pirate/treasure hunting shooter game with my son, I was on my knees, he was standing, and we had the best fun ever, we dropped a bunch of tokens each to finish the game, but you should have seen his smile. Running from one game to another, darn, I was so into arcade, I don't remember if they had the tubes for walking inside, my bad. Anyhow, games are great, cheap, prizes for tickets could be much better as compared to other places; they could also stop capping the "jackpots" on their ticket games; but I ranked this place based on the size of my kids' smiles, and they were big. In fact, my smile was big as well, even after a slice of that pepperoni pizza... I am absolutely appalled and disappointed in this place. We just got home after having my son's 4th birthday here. There was literally not a thing more they could have done to make this night worse. Our party was supposed to be from 4-6pm. We got there at 3:45pm like we were supposed to and they didn't even know which table would be ours. They didn't have a dedicated hosting for us, but we had to share with other parties for a host. They didn't even have a table ready till nearly 5pm. I had ordered the food with our host around 4:15pm and we were not served any food till almost 5:40pm. We only got two pizzas at this time even though I'd ordered 4. Took another 15-20mins for the adult pizzas. They had to keep asking me what my son's name was because the hosts were switching. One of them had to nerve to tell me that the party would still run smoothly and that we'd still get out on time because she wanted to leave for home right after the party. I'm sorry, but I'm paying for two hours, so I'd like my two hours. The bathrooms weren't even use able. Even single stall was absolutely filthy. (I have pics of every single one if upper management would like to see the deplorable condition this place is in.) The party stage was littered with supplies and looked terrible. It was 6:30pm before they even asked my son to do the ticket blaster. He didn't get a cape like the other four parties because they ran out... so my son who was talking about being a super hero at this place all week got a 'medallion' instead. They never gave us any silverware for cake and we had to rummage through the boxes on the front stage for forks for the cake and salad bars. They never even brought the cups for the adults at the party and we all had to share with the kids. After all this I spoke to the manager several times and she refused to even discount the party because she was allowing us to stay as long as we wanted... like we wanted to be there was long as we were because of that service. The 'hostess' that wanted to get out on time so badly only gave me a $4 discount because that's all she could do and she couldn't find a manager. We paid $200 for some of the worst service I've ever had and I honestly don't even think that should have been paid. I'm so livid beyond belief. My son's birthday was absolutely ruined.
