Great place for a casual or date night dinner. The service was excellent and the restaurant is so nicely decorated. We had the griddled cornbread and Korean wings for appetizers. Wings were very sweet and not which was disappointing. I had the skirt steak with mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. Wow so tender and flavorful. My friend had rh Mary's grilled chicken BLT which was good too. We shared peach pie for dessert. Ok but kind of gummy. Would definitely come back again.

Came in for dinner on a Saturday evening at 6:30, we had reservations and was seated right away. Looked over the drink menu and ordered 1 drink, and it wasn't that good with very little alcohol in it. That's why the 4 star review, otherwise would of been a 5 star establishment. Wood Grilled Octopus was very good and grilled perfectly. The potatoes were tasty. Pork & Beef Meatballs was good tasted great with the hose made marinara. Smoked Deviled Eggs is one of the best I ever had. Skirt Steak with Spinach, Garlic Mashed Potatoes, Garlic Butter grilled to perfect medium rare. Ribeye with Garlic Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus was also grilled to perfection. Overall the food was perfect, but drinks needs a little improvement.

It was a little bit of an odd situation for us. Due to circumstances out of our control we arrived in the area about 3:30 pm for a 5:30 pm dinner. What to do for 2 hours. We decided to stop here for some bites and drinks as we were hungry, but didn't want to eat too much. Loved that they had a nice appetizers menu and drink options. Everything came out fast and fresh, made us happy. Ambiance is casual tavern with indoor and outdoor dining. Our server Sierra was very nice and funny, making the experience that much better.

We were a group of six coworkers who came here earlier than our dinner reservation but they accomodated us in the bar area. They gladly welcomed us by rearranging some high top tables in the corner which allowed for space for us to have great conversations. Our server, Felix, was extra nice and patient with us. For starters we shared the Wood Oven Acme Bread served with European butter and the Crispy Brussel Sprouts which I really enjoyed. It had an extra crunch with peanuts mixed in and just flavored perfectly with lime, chili, and a hint of ginger. Most of us had their Smash Burger served with a side of fries. The burger was this delicious hearty portion of beef topped with their sweet and savory Billionaire's bacon, American cheese, and caramelized onion. I took home half of my burger and my husband found it rather satisfying. Someone had the Penne Pasta with chicken and she said it was really delicious but she also had some to take home as the portion was quite generous. Another one in our party had the Fish Tacos made with wild cod which she found to be tasty but the chipotle crema may have been a little much for her. Felix was on point with refills on our Iced Tea, a couple of us found their Lemon Drop cocktail refreshing and another one in our party enjoyed their sparkling Chandon. A great spot with personable service, delicious food, and refreshing drinks. It's the perfect place to unwind at the end of the day.

Market Tavern has a dark interior and rustic vibe. They have a decent amount of seating, both indoors and outdoors, as well as a bar. I was also surprised they have a little market with to go items, cold entrees, baked goods like cookies, bread, chocolates, etc and lots of cold drinks. I got a cookies and cream dirt cup to go for dessert and it was tasty and reasonably priced at $4.50. I wish they would've had individual cookies (large size), but they only had packs of 4 or 5 each for $9. There is plenty of parking in the parking lot right near the movie theater. Service: server was attentive. Food: I ordered the fish tacos (fried) with side salad. The fish portion was a bit small and a little over done. The tortilla was handmade, but a bit thick. The avocado was fresh, but could've used a bit more pineapple salsa. The side salad was a good portion, but fairly basic and had a lot of citric dressing mixed in. They have a wood fired oven and I probably should've opted for something different like a pizza or other entree, but was trying to find something light.

We were able to be seated very quickly with the option for indoor or outdoor seating. The waiter was attentive and super friendly. The apps were yummy and our main dish was cooked to perfection. Over all the experience was amazing

Much better - so much better this visit - we sat outside and the service was really good. Our waitress was helpful with her suggestions..the pizza was fantastic - Italian supreme with arugula on top- it blended in well with the cheese and sausage and tomato - yessss . I had the chicken parm with the pesto sauce on the noodles... sooo good. Get the Brussel sprouts and the meatballs - pork and beef. Mmm add the acme bread... you will be happy you did. I liked it outside . Nice and airy- We were at peace having dinner - I liked it more than last time . We will be back.

Enjoyed a good lunch here. Our sever was really nice and helpful. The food was pretty good. I had the chicken parm, and the pesto noodles were soooo good. The pesto was super fresh and the noodles were perfectly al'dente . The chicken needed a little help. It was a huge peice of chicken, but other than the pasta sauce and the cheese on top it was well seasoned. This is the only reason I took off 1 star! My son devoured the pizza, so it was obviously good, as were the fries. Dessert was good. The creme brulee was tasty, the tarimisu was just OK. It looked to be a nice restaurant for families or friends. Ill definitely be back!

This place never disappoints! Love the vibe when you walk in and all the good things they have for sale! They have really good stuff in their little market, pastries, drinks, desserts, food to go! The staff is always a pleasure, friendly, down to earth and on top of everything. The food is mouth watering delicious! Great cooks and great dishes! Everything I have had here is sooo good. Ordered the pork chop and wow it was so tender and juicy full of flavor. Their cornbread appetizer was so moist and soft with a little crisp and the butter it came with was bomb! I always leave here satisfied. One of the top restaurants on my list!

Came back to Market Tavern last night. Felix, Pat, Jalen and the staff welcomed us with open arms remembering our usual drinks and how we like them on the fly. The food was excellent, prepared and cooked to our likings. It's such a great vibe being here lunch or dinner, the atmosphere has that low lighting, vintage, charming theme to it that never gets old. Thanks again Market Tavern for a wonderful experience. See ya soon again!

Came here last night for a date night. They are dimly lit but not in a blinding way. Very spacious, lots of tables and had lots of outdoor seating too. We've sat at the bar, and a booth now, and the booth is the perfect height (I'm short). Our server was very professional and nice, although tried to sell us on stuff a little too much. Apparently we went during graduation week so they were super busy, even at 830PM on a wednesday evening...and so they were sold out of their pizza dough. They said this never happens. We got two cocktails, the MIA and a Shinjuku...something one. Both were light and refreshing, bourbon based. We got the fried calamari and I didn't care for the breading. It just fell off too easily. They also padded it with fried artichoke and onions... either list it on the menu, or charge less. My partner got the burger and he loved it. The bun was sooo pillowy soft, had a lot of beefy meaty flavor, and the fries were thin, but not shoestring. Much like McDonalds. A good burger. I wanted something lighter, so I got the fish tacos. I wouldn't recommend. The sauce on the taco didn't add much to the meal. The tortilla felt like it was homemade? It was good. The fish was kinda skimpy for $22 and was fried a little darker then I'd prefer. The side salad that came with it, was just terrible in execution. I know they were trying to be artsy but they literally served whole leaves of lettuce... so I did end up using that as a wrap since I was trying to cut calories anyways but just... no. We never get dessert but got suckered into getting something anyways. We opted for the lemon blueberry bundt cake with regular vanilla ice cream instead of their default vegan version. The ice cream was good, creamy. The cake had a weird texture, it was clunky/chunky(?) instead of like a dense moist cake. I also think it would have been better if it was warm. Our bill came out to like $130.

We've seen this place many times driving by and saw the Yelp reviews were good so we popped in on a Saturday night to try it out. It's on the edge of the shopping center by the theatre so the parking was pretty easy since there are not a ton of shops around it. It's got a slightly upscale but still casual vibe to it, I thought the market area in the front was a unique feature. We were seated immediately and we got into the menu. I ended up ordering the fish tacos with a side of fries, my wife got the king salmon special, and the kiddo got mac and cheese. The fish tacos (2 tacos) were alright, my wife enjoyed her salmon, and the mac and cheese was your basic staple. Decent food but I thought the price point was pretty high. Not sure that I'd come back here again as the food is decent but the value received is not enough to draw me back.

Even before our visit, the staff we spoke with on the phone came across as rude and unhelpful. Thankfully, once we were seated, our waitress was very nice, attentive, and probably the best part of the experience. The food, however, was very disappointing. My wife ordered the steak medium-well, but it came out medium-rare, which was frustrating because her requested temperature seemed to have been completely ignored. I ordered the Marin Coast Halibut. The fish lacked seasoning to the point that I had to ask for salt just to give it some flavor. The sauce was also completely cold, which made the dish even less enjoyable. For a restaurant at this price point, I expected much better execution. For dessert, we tried the Milk & Honey. It sounded interesting, but the honeycomb component basically tasted like hardened sugar and was overwhelmingly sweet rather than adding anything special to the dessert. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere and our waitress provided good service, but between the difficulty getting a reservation, the unpleasant phone interaction, improperly cooked steak, and disappointing food, I don't understand the high ratings. For the price and reputation, we expected a much better meal. Unfortunately, I don't think we would return.
