Celebrated my son's first birthday here very accommodating. They were very nice and kind to us. And very well staffed we didn't have any issues while here. There weren't a lot of kids there so it was a normal atmosphere without too much noise outside the games sounds. The food was good they thawed out a cake that we asked for once we arrived and it was a great day.

CEC is a bit upgraded from when I went here as a kid but the premise is the same. Spend a lot of money on playing games and trying to earn tickets... save up thousands of tickets to buy a piece of junk that was made in China for 2 cents. But hey, it's a fun time. Seriously, the pizza here is really yummy and there are adult beverages. It really can be fun for the entire family. And yes, the dressed-up human mouse still comes out in the suit to dance with the kids -- and there is a bizarre, automated human-size mouse in the party room.

Stopped by on a Sunday for my 6 year old cousin's birthday party. I must say going to one of these places is about as desirable to me as being on an airplane with sick people or licking a petri dish. That said this place was pretty clean and the party was pretty early so the place wasn't mobbed. The party was super organized. The pizza wasn't bad! It was probably on par with Domino's? Pepperoni pizza is always pretty good, right? I played a few games, I socialized, I ate cake, and I'll be back for the next one. Until next time Chuck E. Cheese!

We love hanging out at chuck e cheeses for some nice old fashioned arcade action. Taking out some Jurassic park or getting crazy on some racing games. Its always a good time. And for all your money and hard work you are always awarded with a plastic thingaloo that stucks to something or bounces, or whatever. Its all about the experience. Whatever!

    Chuck E Cheese, RT -1 N, Edison

I , my eldest child (13 plus) , husband and my younger child(9 plus) had a very horrid experience with Chuck E Cheese in RT -1 N, Edison, NJ. We bought an hours worth of play card for my boy as the representative @ Chuck E Cheese suggested to buy an hour card rather than a points based play card. He assured that he was not going to cheat us in any manner. We bought the hour's worth of card and gave it to him. We left my daughter who is fifteen to assist my younger child and we left to a shop nearby to return in half an hour. After a few minutes, I got a call from my daughter saying that the play card is not working and when she asked the manager - 'Matt' , he said the play card has no points left. This is just after few minutes and my child didn't even start playing( he was attempting to play, but the play card did not work). When we came and showed the manager 'Matt' the receipt, he falsely accused my child of loosing the card and that the play card given by my child is not the same. 'Matt' also mentioned that he would have to track my child's activity so as to figure out where exactly my son lost the card( I asked my son and daughter and they never lost any card. The play card is the right card and they did not misplace it.). The manager - Matt was insistent that he would not be able to replace the card nor refund us the money. They went inside and after tracking my child's activity, the manager - 'Matt' started making a statement that my child had played 2 games from the card (which he did not) and he will not refund the money and started comparing the lost plastic card to a sale item from the best buy. He went on to give a sales pitch about a bracelet and how it would protect my child 's card from falling down. I talked with other employees and they returned with another card but the manager - Matt did not allow my child to play, falsely claiming that my child did not return back the right play card. Looks like, here, at Edison - Chuck E Cheese , even a child's happiness does not mater, leave alone big claims about all lives matter. I asked the manager to keep the money as I did not want to argue anymore and disappoint my child. As a mother I give worth to my child's happiness. I left the Chuck E Cheese @ Rt-1 North, Edison to a different Chuck E Cheese ( I didn't want to disappoint my child ). But, the fact remains, Manager -Matt @ Chuck E Cheese , Rt-1 N, Edison, did not allow my child to play nor did he refund the money, plus, falsely claiming that the play card my child gave him is not the right one.

The price for a birthday party was reasonable as well, even less than what I typically pay for when I throw a party at the house.

The Neutral Zone is located inside Chesterfield Mall. If you are not familiar with the mall, it's important to know that it no longer functions as a typical mall. There are a few businesses still there, mostly providing entertainment (movie theater, pickle ball, The Neutral Zone, etc.), but besides the Cheesecake Factory, you will not have other places to grab food, etc. while there. We arrived to the Neutral Zone, gave our voucher info at the front desk, and headed into the arcade. There are several retro games there to play (Donkey Kong, Pac-Man, Frogger, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, racing games, Dance Dance Revolution, and more) as well as two skee ball lanes (only one was working at the time). My husband and I enjoyed playing some games from our childhood and competing with each other to see who could remember how to play what. :) We enjoyed ourselves while there and played all the games we wanted to, but we didn't stay more than an hour to an hour and a half at most -- which was fine with us, but if you were paying full price ($19.95) it would have been disappointing. All in all, I found it to be a fun evening but not something we would probably return to very often. For the retro gamers out there, check them out -- or give them a go for something different to do with your significant other.

Kai was our birthday host and he was very friendly, knowledgeable and patient taking on a party of 12 active boys. He kept them smiling, entertained and under control. Unfortunately, we will not be returning. While recording my 8-year-old on the zip line, a teenager told their mother we were recording her instead. The mother immediately came up and started yelling at us. I calmly explained that we were only recording our own child, and even offered to get a manager involved. Things escalated quickly when the mom brought her entire family over, threatening to "fight me" -- and I'm currently 8 months pregnant. I repeatedly told her no one was recording her daughter, and when the managers (Carla -- a tall brunette -- and another female manager) came over, I even handed them my phone to show the video for proof. The managers confirmed the misunderstanding, tried to reason with the mother, and ultimately told us she was very rude and kept interrupting them. I want to note that both managers were very kind and handled a tense situation as best they could. That being said, if this is the type of crowd Main Event attracts, I will be avoiding this location in the future.

We paid for one hour for $9 each which seemed very reasonable. Most machines are playable with the exception a small room of pay-per-play machines (for those who don't want to pay any hourly rate & just want to play a few machines). My husband and I also did the pay-per-play machines back when this spot opened just to check it out. Those are not the best value FYI - better value to do by hour! I didn't know if we would play the whole hour but we sure did - it flies by fast! I love the variety of machines - lots of modern ones (Adam's family, Avatar, Walking Dead, etc.) and lots of retro machines (more than expected). Probably 30-ish machines total, which is a great amount of options! We played on a Saturday night around 7, and it wasn't too crowded which was nice. I was able to play all the machines I wanted to except the Simpsons bc it wasn't in working order. All other machines seemed to be working fine though. They have another small room of other games that are also included in the hourly rate - Ms. Pac-Man and Mario World to name a few. They also offer a few bottled drinks & cold snacks (mostly candy it seemed) to purchase. The decor is simple but cool with fun facts about pinball machines - like who broke the world record of amount of consecutive time playing pinball machines (Which one? How long did the play? you'll have to go & find out ). Employees are friendly and helpful. I'm delighted to have a fun, different business in the area. Great activity for kids, families, teens, adults, everyone! I would LOVE to see more machines come in the future, either in addition or swapped out (to keep up the interest for return visits) especially more modern ones. If you're taking suggestions, I request Stranger Things :D
