We visited this location recently. The experience was almost to par on the traditional Chuck E. Cheese experience but the pricing for different things was shocking. The arcade was the same experience it's always been, sad there's no coins or physical tickets anyone but that's just technology taking over. The biggest turnoff was the playground area you had to pay extra for, it's so small too, not worth the $14/kid to pay for. The pizza was great and the staff were very nice, just pricing was just not reasonable. We had coupons that made it better but once in the building we looked at what the pricing would be without the coupon and were shocked. Before we visited we tried downloading the app and visited the website, it was so convoluted trying to figure out the pricing and how the games work now. I think if the company went back to a more traditional basic structure it would draw more people in. I could see how many parents wouldn't want to visit based on all the pricing and buy-ups needed to get the full experience. What really was a punch in the gut - they took away the stage and the animatronics, it's just a screen now, and to add insult to injury, Chuckie is skinny now?! This is a solid location. Very clean, staff are friendly. If you look up the coupon deals, you can get an hour of play Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday for $19.99. That's a pretty good deal! We don't go on the weekends so I can't really speak to the crowds then but the weeknights it's not too crowded. Good way to just take your kids out of the house after work for an hour or two. read more

place was a fun spot to kill a few hours with my niece. My niece got into a little accident and bumped her head with another kid, and had a welt on her forehead. One of the workers, seemed to be a manager, named "Shonce" immediately saw and walked up and asked if my niece was okay. Also got a bag of ice for her, and when we went to go finish up and check on her points, she wasnt sure what to get and the same worker gave her a little goodie bag of tots and stickers and told her to save her point for next time. Celebrated my son's first birthday here very accommodating. They were very nice and kind to us. And very well staffed we didn't have any issues while here. There weren't a lot of kids there so it was a normal atmosphere without too much noise outside the games sounds. Stopped by on a Sunday for my 6 year old cousin's birthday party. I must say going to one of these places is about as desirable to me as being on an airplane with sick people or licking a petri dish. We waited so long in line, that we almost left... but the lady in front of us finally completed her birthday party arrangements. The line had really stacked up by then. This location has been renovated somewhat recently from what I can tell and remember, and my 4 year old nephew had a blast this past weekend! Clean place, wonderful staff - everyone has a good time! We just had my son's 4th birthday party here. This is not the Chuck E Cheese that you might remember. This place is very clean, so much so one of my pickier friends commented how impressed she was. The staff is excellent - friendly, attentive and well-trained. One of the kids fell at the birthday party, they came to find me and let me know another staff member was helping her clean up in the bathroom, and then she offered her ice. We had 14 kids and got three pizzas, along with 3 salad bars, an extra pizza and a sandwich platter. All the good was wiped out, very tasty. The birthday party experience was wonderful. You have a personal attendant that really takes care of all your needs. It was excellent to kick back and relax as apparent and have someone tending to the tasks you normally have to do. The price for a birthday party was reasonable as well, even less than what I typically pay for when I throw a party at the house. I , my eldest child (13 plus) , husband and my younger child(9 plus) had a very horrid experience with Chuck E Cheese in RT -1 N, Edison, NJ. We bought an hours worth of play card for my boy as the representative @ Chuck E Cheese suggested to buy an hour card rather than a points based play card. He assured that he was not going to cheat us in any manner. We bought the hour's worth of card and gave it to him. We left my daughter who is fifteen to assist my younger child and we left to a shop nearby to return in half an hour. After a few minutes, I got a call from my daughter saying that the play card is not working and when she asked the manager - 'Matt' , he said the play card has no points left. This is just after few minutes and my child didn't even start playing( he was attempting to play, but the play card did not work). When we came and showed the manager 'Matt' the receipt, he falsely accused my child of loosing the card and that the play card given by my child is not the same. 'Matt' also mentioned that he would have to track my child's activity so as to figure out where exactly my son lost the card( I asked my son and daughter and they never lost any card. The play card is the right card and they did not misplace it.). The manager - Matt was insistent that he would not be able to replace the card nor refund us the money. They went inside and after tracking my child's activity, the manager - 'Matt' started making a statement that my child had played 2 games from the card (which he did not) and he will not refund the money and started comparing the lost plastic card to a sale item from the best buy. He went on to give a sales pitch about a bracelet and how it would protect my child 's card from falling down. I talked with other employees and they returned with another card but the manager - Matt did not allow my child to play, falsely claiming that my child did not return back the right play card. Looks like, here, at Edison - Chuck E Cheese , even a child's happiness does not mater, leave alone big claims about all lives matter. I asked the manager to keep the money as I did not want to argue anymore and disappoint my child. As a mother I give worth to my child's happiness. I left the Chuck E Cheese @ Rt-1 North, Edison to a different Chuck E Cheese ( I didn't want to disappoint my child ). But, the fact remains, Manager -Matt @ Chuck E Cheese , Rt-1 N, Edison, did not allow my child to play nor did he refund the money, plus, falsely claiming that the play card my child gave him is not the right one. read more

I like this Chuck E. Cheese normally however we came for the Buffet today spend $15 and it's was the worst buffet ever. They literally didn't get anything out until almost none -which it's from 11-2. No dessert ever. Maybe had one pizza up at a time. Every time I asked if they're would be more pizza she said, yes just a few minutes and then 10 minutes later I would ask again. We've come here many times over the years (from tokens to play cards to timed play) and while the kids still have fun, as a parent there are some things that I find a little annoying. For one, it takes them a long while to fix their machines. More than once we'd try to play a game only to find it was malfunctioning or broken (e.g. not working or all or controls didn't respond as they ought to). They also recently switched from a token system to where you get unlimited play for a certain amount of minutes (you do have to wait something like 30-45 seconds in between swipes of the card though). This was fun until we got to the prize counter to redeem tickets. About 1/4 of the stuff you could get with tickets (dinky stuff like stickers or a plastic ring), but the rest of it was marked with dollar amounts (as in, had to purchase with money). Most of it is stuff you'd find at any Walmart or target, but with like 400% markup. On the plus side, the pizza is pretty good. I've never had a bad pizza here. This location is kept fairly clean, and staff are very friendly. read more

This Chuck E. Cheese location is by far my favorite!! The staff is kind, prompt and helpful when you have an issue with anything. I love that they left the tokens behind and are finally getting with the times and putting all your tokens on a card that is just scanned. Makes it so much easier to play games. Plus all the games are a point or two. We did the $41.99 special and got a large one topping pizza, four drinks, and 95 tokens I just showed the cashier my phone for the coupon I found online from there website. Since they are celebrating 40 years all drinks coke with a prize. We won 2 - 40 ticket vouchers, 40 cent cotton candy, and 4 tokens. We only used the tickets it was nice as we didn't win many tickets playing games. Some how we always manage to love the games that don't give you tickets. Anyways there game selection is good but I like south county's better but I refuse to go to that one. It's always terrible so I will drive the 25 miles to Ballwin! The pizza seemed better today than usual and I don't know if I was just really hungry or if it was better. All in all we had a great experience and my seven year old had a blast!! Love that you can upgrade your prize 1 cent for 1 ticket. So we upgraded 200 tickets for $2 so she could get the dauphin she wanted. read more

So your grandchildren are in, and you want them to get together with their Aunts, Uncles, Cousins etc. and your house is too small. So you get the idea, hey lets have a party at Chuck E. Cheese's! Wrong, you cannot have a family party no matter how many people there are or how much you want to spend. The damn Rat insists that you have a "BIRTHDAY PARTY" at some ridiculous rate per head. OK how few can I reserve for. Well you can have the party for 4 kids and pay the high rate for the 4 and buy additional food, soda etc, at the per pie rate. Net-Net, they did their best to irritate me as much as they could. Although I spent $600.00 for a few pizza's, salads and not as many sandwich platters as I ordered several weeks ago, I could only have the table for 2 hours. Can we spell rip off? I can it is called the @#$#@# mouse. The food was ok, and the kid who was the host was super. He got a big tip just for being nice to us. As far as wanting to spend another nickel with the rat......not unless I am forced to. The business practices of the place are arcane and out of place. I would never recommend Chuck E. Cheese, unless you want to spend a small fortune for very little food and a ton of tokens to play their kid friendly games. Not worth the money. Took grandkids age 6 and 8 just for games. Had no food but pizza on tables looked quite good. The kids had a good time but many of the games were hard to understand and some appeared to be not working even though the lights were flashing invitingly. The girls ended up earning only 61 and 80 points from $20 worth of tokens -- enough to "buy" only a 5 cent whistle. Not recommended. read more

Full disclosure. We went to this CEC about 730 at night. My family drove in from Kansas City, my brother and his family drove in from Cape Girardeau, and we chose this location due to my sister living close by. At the time of arrival the kids were so excited to see each other, no one was hungry. We dropped a couple hundred bucks to play games and have an impromptu get together. It is clear many of the staff here did not like children. We ordered food about 920 at night, because some of the adults had gotten hungry. Mind you they do close at 10 PM. I realize that we cut it close, but the supervisor did take orders and said that it would be no problem. Several of the staff members were super ticked off that we had been there and ordered food so late. One of the male staff members kept making snarky remarks to us and asked us why we weren't hungry earlier in the evening and basically said we are being rude. We successfully finish up everything and had been out the door at 10:05. We gave this place hundreds of dollars and they gave us a 10$ teddy bear and 2 pizzas. read more

I am giving this 2 stars because the staff was great and the place was clean, but that's the best I can do. We took our son in for his 7th birthday. There was 15 of us and we spent more than $300. That is terrrilby over priced for a pizza place!!!! They have what they call a "ticket blaster" that the birthday kid can get in and try to win tickets. Oh but my child couldn't get in, it was his birthday but I hadn't set up a reserved birthday party. Like I said before, we were there, it was his birthday, we spent over $300 but because I hadn't "reserved" a party he couldn't use the ticket blaster. Lame!!!! He was very disappointed. You used to be able to get in the ticket blaster for $1 but not anymore. We have 7 kids and have gone to chuck e cheese for their family birthdays for over 25 years (It was called Show Biz pizza when we started so you can see how long it's been) and I sincerely hope no one ever asks to go again.
