This place is always clean when we come, which is greatly appreciated. We've been to other locations in state and had other experiences. The staff is relatively quick to help when a game is needing assistance, even though there never seems to be enough staff around. I do wish they would get new games. It's been the same selection for years with nothing new. We came this week and some games had been moved around, which gave us hope, but it was just more of a shuffle than adding new. Chuck E. Cheese is good for one thing. Letting your children run wild playing games while the adults finish the food they picked at. I took my little guy to his first Chuck E. Cheese experience yesterday. His mom had told him the pizza isn't that good but the games are amazing. So I took him there to decide for himself. He loves watching video games played on YouTube and talks about Sonic and Mario a lot. He's not allowed to play any at his tender age of 5. The fear is he'll become an addicted gamer and abandon all else. I was happy to learn yesterday that fear may be unfounded. When we arrived the parking lot was empty. I went inside and asked the hostess, "Are you open..?" It was 12:30. She said they were. She stamped each of us with a number that I think might have been with ultraviolet ink. I have no idea why she did that unless it's to be able to match children to adults. I don't know. Anyhow, we went inside and sat at a table. I assumed there'd be a server who came out to take our order. I didn't know how this place works. Eventually I got up and realized you order right where you walk in. There is a menu of food and game passes. The passes are a pretty good deal. You pay for the time you think your little one will want to play. You don't have to worry about how many times you play, just the length of time you plan for total play of the games. Instead of time, you can buy tokens for the same amount of money. The problem with that is some games end at the first mistake. So if you're using up tokens with each play, those games can quickly empty your card. I got a card with 30 minutes of play. The girl at the counter said something about I was allowed one "pause". I imagine that means they suspend the time clock while you eat? Thirty minutes was plenty of time for my little guy to get his fill of the games including the time he sat to eat so I didn't ask her for a pause. We got a personal pizza with just cheese. I liked it and he said it was amazing. I ate 90% of it. He ate one piece and was off to play the games. He had no concept of the 'tickets' you win that go back on your card that can be redeemed for prizes. I wanted to keep his first visit simple and he seemed to be fine just trying the different games. Even though he played some Mario-like game and a video driving game, he didn't seem so drawn in that he couldn't pull himself away to try another game. Yay! We walked over by the large area where they have birthday parties and saw the robotic Chuck E. Cheese doll. It kinda freaked him out and he didn't want to get within 10 feet for a picture together. The nice thing about the variety of games is they have something for all ages from very young to teenagers. For example, for the little kids they have vehicles you can sit in and ride. Like the ones they used to have at the grocery store. For food they have a salad bar and a window to the kitchen where you pick up your order. They give you a buzzer to carry around so you're notified when your food is ready. They also have one size of drink, but free refills at the soda machine. 1 of 9 grandkids birthday party from out of town. We come here for all the 9 little grandkids birthdays. We came today with 10 people, did not make a party reservation because we weren't sure if they would make it in from Alaska. We spent over $150 for appetizers and time to play. As we sat in the area in back with Chuckie singing and the tables large enough to fit 10 people. We ate our appetizers and all but three went to play. I sat with my Son-in-Law while my 3 year old grandson ate his food. An employee came over and asked if we were with a birthday party. I said no with a confused look. He said you can't sit here unless you are, you have to sit in the game room area. I said where is the 10 of us suppose to sit together. He said, "YOU CANT SIT HERE UNLESS YOU HAVE A PARTY RESERVATION and I HAVE TO SET UP FOR TOMORROWS PARTIES" at 730 at night. We moved all 10 of us over to a 4 person table and choose not to order dinner and stay playing more. The kids finished there cards they had and we are driving to Round1 to order dinner and play games-they are open every day 10am-2am. BTW...we left at 830, 30 minutes before closing and they had one table with balloons on chairs. Is that how you set up for a party the night before? I visited on Sunday and Monday this week. The pizza is actually great and the salad bar was a pleasant surprise! The staff was friendly and really helpful. They made suggestions and we thought the 60 minutes of unlimited play was such a good deal. Our daughter had a blast and we loved the kids bop in the background and the overall safe feeling of the place. Probably the coolest thing was the come together, leave together policy. Although I've popped into this place to help someone out for their kid's birthday party, I saw that it wasn't the Chuck E. Cheese I grew up with (unfortunately). Falls way short. Not only did the place seem a bit sketchy, I had a recent out-of-store interaction with an outspoken employee named Dawn who was pretty abusive towards me, and she at least informed me that she has a low opinion of this establishment she works for and its food. I will keep this short. I stood at the front of the line for 15 minutes by myself before I was helped. Both of my kids sitting on the floor waiting. I came here for my kids, of course. I watched five total employees stand right in front of me at the registers check their phones, charge their AirPods, chit chat about who knows what. All either coming back from some break or could care less about me standing in front of them. Manager Kay Listus (my or may not be her name) at 5p 2/5/23 provided me with a smug, fake smile as she did nothing to discuss my concerns. I told her that I was waiting 15 minutes before she or anyone was able to actually help me. Her response, "So?" As a regular at another location, I had points for free 15 minutes. None of the employees were able to provide my credit. The credit card reader did not read my card. The QR code reader did not work. I ask for a manager, she said I am the manager, "Bring it up with corporate." First game, The Fast and the Furious Super Bikes was broken. Jurassic Park arcade BROKEN. Red Helmet ride, BROKEN. While my 3 year old had a good time here...there are some serious flaws with this location. Many games were out of order. If the main attraction to your venue is game play - make sure they work. For example, the water shooters barely sprayed on one side, one football game didn't have the balls, many other games were just "out of order" or just off. Had I paid for a specific number of credits I would have been pissed. I had an unlimited 2 hour pass so, luckily, we could just move on to the next game. The building seems like it is undergoing some renovations (or at least I hope). From the outside it literally looks abandoned. You would never know this place is operational, save for the sign that says "open" outside. The inside is not much better. They must have recently replaced the salad bar top so it was all taped together - not a great look. Pictures must have been taken off the wall and they had peeling everywhere! I was embarrassed to be there. I won't talk about the food/drink because it is to be expected (sub par). I am honestly surprised that this place still exists. I know it looks like it hasn't been touched since the 70's (which generally I am totally fine with!) but they REALLY need to get their act together. I won't be coming back here. I'm giving it two starts because my kids have fun here. Even with having fun, I bought them each 450 tokens. We are 18 minutes in and my daughter has 15 left. We don't even have pizza yet. The games are hugely expensive. Dave and Busters is a much better value. My husband and I eat the salad bar. It's messy and largely neglected. We celebrated our daughters 4th birthday at this location and I am very happy with how it went! Everything was ready and set up, very nice host and unlimited fun for the kids. Pizza was actually pretty good as well. One thing we disliked is how crowded it was, something is off with sound proofing or ratio of allowable people. We could not hear each other at the table. This is the worst Chuck E Cheese of any I have ever been in. It's dirty, poorly staffed and the salad bar looks unhealthy and should be avoided. Many of the video games don't work and the parking lot is usually empty. To be honest, I am shocked this location has stayed open for so long. We were there today, Sunday the 15th of July 2018. This is the filthiest most disgusting play I've been to recently. I can't believe the health department hasn't shut this place down. There were bugs in the ice machine. Yes, after getting two cups with bugs, I used the other machine. I can only imagine what the inside of the bin must look like! The drink machine had most of the drinks not working or not filled. The floor was so sticky your feet stuck to the ground. The tables were not bused, food and trash every where. The condiment areas were not wiped off. The rags left on these areas were extremely dirty and had not been rinsed out. The employee busing looked very unprofessional with his sagging pants. The is a family kids place. Whats up?? Even after telling the manager on duty about all this, in the two hours my grandson played, nothing was addressed. For a themed restaurant, this location is not as bad as I expected. The food was better than the Arvada location, and the facility was not crowded. I have five children ranging in ages between 3 to 15, and everyone found something to do to have fun. My only complaint is the theater television showing Chuck E. I have heard horror stories of the other locations-I don't know if this place is better, or if the people telling stories are wimps. But really, it's not nearly as noisy/chaotic/awful as I always heard. Maybe this location is smaller and more manageable? If you go in the middle of the day during the week, the place is pretty deserted, so you can give your kid free reign. On weekend, you'll want to keep a close eye on them-some of the kids are less than socialized. For a Chuck E Cheese, this one is awesome! Clean games and interior, fresh & diverse salad bar, great staff! The manager even came by our table to check that all was well. There was also a great toddler area! It is separated by a little half wall and has age appropriate games and a smaller climbing area. My almost two year old loved it! And I felt safer letting her play without worrying about the bigger kids knocking her down. We were there for about an hour or so and Chuck E made two appearances while we were there. They made a big deal about him coming out and all the kids gathered around and danced with him. It was really cute. The only thing that would make this location better is if they had free WiFi to entertain the parents! read more
