Let me add a note: 30 years ago, I was an Army officer with 3 sons living/stationed on a remote base in the Mojave Desert. It was 96 miles to the nearest Chuck E. Cheese. The arcade, pizza and animated creatures were a favorite of my sons. The Army didn't pay well then and I couldn't honestly afford to take my sons as often as they would have liked. Thus, that might shape this review. This trip was for my middle granddaughter's birthday. This chain has a great birthday party set up and can help new parents arrange a fun birthday party for young kids. This location had some young adults associates that made it very fun for multiple birthday parties. I think there were 4 or 5 supported at the same time. We brought a cake, they provided drinks, ice cream and Pizza. While their pizza may not be the best, the pepperoni and cheese pizzas were a fan favorite. This place is really step their game up I can't lie I came a couple months ago and was irritated with the service and lack of games for toddlers. My last visit about a month ago was amazing! They have a new manager who is super enthusiastic about the kids having a great time. Yafet, as you'll see in my picture did great working the counter, as Chucky, and making sure to man the door as well. Not all Chucky actors really get into it with the kids but he made sure everyone had a smile. He was respectful as we got our gifts and make sure to serve everyone in order. He did all this while making sure everyone's kid was safe. The food is a lot better and I recognize the change if they're trying to make. Super fun place for kids. I also have to admit it holds a special place in my heart from when I was show biz pizza as a child. The guy you order food from is always happy and gives me good suggestions such as crust types and beverage options. There are coupons online for discounts and special discounts for being a Cheesehead member. They have a divided section special for toddlers and on the other side for older grown-up kids. Towards the back of the room they have sectioned off tables for birthday parties and I believe every hour or so Chuck E. Cheese mascot comes out does a silly dance and gives out free tickets to the children. I love the pizza here it honestly is one of the best in comparison to any pizza delivery companies around. As a mother of a three year old who loves going to Chuck E Cheese, this location is by far the best in the DFW area. We have visited the Garland location multiple times on various days/times and each time -- the staff here is extremely friendly and helpful. I applaud the staff as they truly seem to enjoy their job and are willing to go the extra mile to provide a great experience. This location also has more "toddler" friendly machines -- meaning the machines are height and age appropriate. The machines are kept clean and functioning. The food is surprisingly pretty good too. This is definitely a location I would add to the list. read more

This is the nicest location I have come across in my years with kids. Everything looks and feels pretty updated. There are games that all ages can play and have fun with. One cool thing that's new to me is that you can choose to have your tickets you win automatically "loaded" onto your play card. Then you just check your balance at the end. We were here for a bday party but added on a $23, hour long play card. Which I felt was good for the money since you could play everything they had to offer. Pizza was good and the salad bar looked stocked and fresh. I do live hella far away from here but if your close here definitely give this place some consideration. I used this place for my daughters 7th birthday. The staff were nice enough and the person assigned to us did her best to make things go smoothly. The place was clean and the food was decent. My daughter liked it so much, she wanted to go back again the next weekend. When she went back she had fun, but when trying to cash her tickets in, my husband waited for the folks in front of him to be seen. When he got to the front, 2 staff people in a row told my husband that he needed to wait his turn. At this point they just left without her getting her prize. For a place that specializes in providing food and entertainment for kids, you'd THINK they'd have the friggin' buffet ready when the place opened. And also more than one employee handling the front entrance. Let me set the stage: It's 11 am. There is a small crowd of adults and their eager toddlers crowding the door to get in. There is ONE employee at the front who is stamping hands and then she goes to take our order and OOPS! She has to get her manager to come over and open the cash register. They hadn't even set up yet. We finally get inside the main area and there is ZERO food ready on the buffet. Not a damn thing. It's not that I'm starving, I'm an adult, I can handle a small wait. But we're talking about a half dozen toddlers inside, ready for pizza and playtime. Finally, at 11:15, two pizzas arrive on the counter for the dozen + people inside. Cool, we'll all get one slice each, that's fine. At 11:30, the manager finally puts the "salad" bar up, which consists of exactly two different types of lettuce and a small bowl of parmesan cheese. I had to ask for croutons. We were there for a little over an hour and in that time there was never more than one pizza out at a time except at the very beginning. Toward noon, they brought out what looked like the crusts of their already very thin pizza to pass off as breadsticks, and one dessert pizza. This was "all" included for the low low price of just under $10 with the drink - which comes in the smallest cup possible. Don't think that $2.50 soda is going to be in a normal sized cup. Think "Starbucks tall" size cup. Also, there are signs everywhere that say you should get a new plate when you refill at the buffet. Well aside from the difficulties of securing pizza at all, I wanted to get a plate for my salad. These cheap skates actually keep the plates and utensils behind the counters. You can't even get a paper plate or plastic fork for yourself. I cannot even imagine the long waits and chaos that must ensue during busy hours if this is a normal practice. So basically, management is terrible, they have no idea how to run a buffet or have it ready for actual customers when they open their doors, and the company corporation needs to seriously do an overhaul on their menu. The pizza is absolutely terrible. Even CiCi's is better and at least has a variety of pasta and other things on their buffet, and is cheaper. I don't care how much my toddler begs. I will not be taking her back to this place. It's AWFUL. read more

We had a birthday party at this location. It was really organized and a pleasant experience. The girl at the front was a great security feature. She ensured that our party host met us up front. Jake, the party host, was great and easy to work with. He ensured the party was an easy transition. He handled the food, the cake, the timeline, etc. The entire transaction was a little over 300.00 but it was well worth it. We saved ourselves some stress. The only reason I gave it a 4 is because a few of the games were not working and it disappointed my son. Also, they can do a slightly better job of putting more sanitizer gel around the inside. I get more exhausted after 2 hours here than after spending 12 hours at work but it's probably because I'm not used to having 50 kids running all over the place out of control. It's a great place for kids tho, my grand-daughter had a great time. We tried their pepperoni pizza which was pretty decent. I think it has better flavor than Pizza Hut pizza's but I'm not sure that is saying too much. If you can avoid going here on a weekend, you will avoid a lot of stress and waiting in lines. read more

Lots of games but the blinds are broken so the sun will be in your eyes if you have to sit along the row of booths and believe me, there are not a lot of seating choices. The place gets crowded. My only issue with this place is I was going to let my three year old run a muck in the tubes. We got there and I saw there were no tubes. I was sad. He didn't care he's 3. I gave this place four stars in regards to service and games for a child focused establishment. The cashier (Brittney) was very sweet and accepted my multiple coupons that I had printer out from online. I had my infant in my left hand, wallet and purses in right. I brought my 4 yo to help me carry the trays, but another employee, a sweet fellow, helped carry my trays, plates, and cups to my table. At the table, another employee came to inform me that the back tables were for birthday reservations only. I explained to her that I had approximately 14 other guests arriving and the girl agreed that in that case, we were allowed to sit there. She even came back to check on us and noticed I was there with two children and even offered to help me! So sweet! Our pizzas and breadsticks arrived within 10-15 minutes of ordering. I wasn't aware that I was supposed to bring back my salad plate to exchange for a new one. The nice cashier remembered my order and gave me a fresh plate and new utensils anyways and kindly explained this policy to me. We had 5 little girls that had a blast! Be careful when your children carry their cups of tokens. If laid out, another child will quickly snatch up the loot to have a party of their own! At the end, when redeeming our tickets for toys, the girl was very patient and helped us with calculations and redemptions. From beginning to end, I was very pleased with the level of customer service we received! Also, this particular location had a wide variety of games and rides. Very rude employees. Will not be going back. By reloading my card there, somehow they wiped my entire prior balance. When I told them that they looked at me like I was an idiot and told me I had never used or had a balance on my three year old card until today (which makes no sense) and that there was no way their machine could do that. They eventually credited it back to my account, but it was still a terrible experience. What an absolute beating. My kids had fun, but the service was horrible. Several broken games without signs identifying them as broken. Had to track down staff to reimburse us for wasted credits on broken games, and then dealt with a long wait at the finicky ticket counting machines, and an even longer wait for my kids to get the meager prizes they picked out. We've had better experiences here in the past, and my kids did enjoy it, but they need to do some basic things like staff appropriately, train better customer service attitudes, and keep all of their machines working. Things will break, of course, but they need to be able to deal with that by putting up signs, etc. It's hard enough explaining to a 4-year-old that an interesting-looking activity is broken when there's a sign on it. The new option to buy tokens or time limit sucks. I purchased a time of 60 mins for $17. If a child starts a game then eats the clock keeps ticking if the child doesn't pause the card. I came to this location for a birthday celebration and it was absolutely not what I expected at all. I realize my daughter is 26 so it's been a while since I've been here but this location was TERRIBLE. The staff was not welcoming the young lady at the door obviously works at McDonalds part time because she greeted our large party by saying Hello welcome to McDonalds lol. The cashiers have no personality at all and don't get me on the appearance of the dining area. The tables weren't being cleaned, napkins and trash on the floor, drink station not stocked and straw wrappers everywhere, salad bar not stocked basically I built my salad by asking the young lady behind the counter for ingredients. I've seen all these commercials about the new menu and lets just say I wasn't impressed and it definitely wasn't worth the hour wait. I won't even begin to speak on the condition of the restroom it was disgusting. When we arrived, the store manager checked us in. He was nice, but he was very overly salesy. He asked us about five times if we wanted to purchase the souvenir cups, and we opted out because they were too much. We purchased one of them for our daughter, but he kept insisting that my husband and I purchased cups for ourselves. That's when I started to get annoyed. We ordered our food and paid and then we went to find a table. Now given that today is a holiday, I expected it to be busy. But what I did not expect is to find every single table in the restaurant completely dirty. Tables that were not occupied and that nobody had came to wipe down. After what felt like forever, we finally found a table that was halfway clean and clean it ourselves. I sit down and watch to see if anybody would come clean the rest of the tables. 20 minutes goes by and finally somebody came to pick up the tables. But he did not wipe the tables down to clean them whatsoever. When my buzzer for the food went off I went up to pick up my food only to be told my food was not ready. I informed the lady at the pet food pick up counter that my buzzer went off. She looked really confused. Then she told me my food was not ready. Then why did my buzzer go off? Then why have I been waiting for 20 minutes? This place is clearly ran by a bunch of high school students that don't have hardly any work ethic.
