I'm giving 5 stars because the food is good. I've ordered from Zuko's about three times since moving to Garland. I've read the other reviews about the employees who take the orders, but I've never had any issues with them. They've been pretty polite when taking my order. They do tend to put you on hold for a minute when someone comes in to pick up an order, but that happens when only a few people are working. I love that they use fresh garlic in their dishes and pizza. My only issue has been the chicken that you get when you order the chicken Alfredo. The Alfredo is really good, but the chicken is sad, plain chicken and tastes like canned chicken. The baked ziti is pretty awesome! The tiramisu is delicious. Prices are fair. I've never been inside the restaurant since I always get delivery. Anyway, I'll continue to order from Zuko's. They don't take cards for payment, but you can Zelle or use cash to pay. read more

Garland, if I'm ever needing to get a Pizza, there's no question where I'm getting it from, as it's a short drive across the lake. Yes, yes, a million times YES! The pizza here is amazing. Slices and the pizza itself was HUGE, my pictures don't even do the size justice. I've never had the ability to order a special sauce just to dip my pizza in except for marinara. We ordered the already sauce dip, a pepperoni, ricotta cheese and mushroom pizza and some tiramisu for desert. If ANY place has tiramisu, I'm ordering it. The pizza was cooked to perfection, the toppings was full of taste and robust. My slice was as big as my plate and I couldn't even finish a whole slice. Tiramisu was great, was a bit different than I've ever had before. Kinda had an ice cream top layer. I give that a 7 out of 10. Pizza and Alfredo dip gets a 10 out of 10. So very delicious!!! We ate there instead of pick up or delivery. It has a small dining area with an order and pick up window. The service was amazing!! They brought out garlic knots and the best marinara sauce. None of us ordered pizza. We had the Stromboli, spaghetti, and lemon chicken piccata. They were all fresh and hot. My 10- year old is super picky. He already started talking about coming back as soon as we left. He gave it a 9.5 out of 10. We'll try the pizza next time. This pizza place was hands down ahmaaazing!! We ordered a large pizza and ate at the restaurant. It came out hot, fresh, and loaded with condiments!! The pizza was so large that they put it on a luggage rack when they bring it to the table. The tables are clean and there's even a high chair and extra chairs if you want others to join your group. I really like the fact that they appreciate and trust their guests. I wanted a drink from the cooler and they literally told me to grab anything I wanted and they trust that you will pay later for it! So that was pretty cool that I got to get a drink and enjoy the meal without paying until we were done with our meal! I def recommend getting pizza night at Zuko Pizza Pasta!!! Update: Wow. Decided to give this place another shot even though I am still annoyed that they don't accept credit cards. This time I tried a pasta dish, got it delivered, paid by check. Arrived on time and hot. Can't complain about these things. I got the chicken Sophia which is basically chicken, crab meat, "fresh mushrooms", in a tomato cream white wine sauce over pasta. Also got a side salad. The spaghetti served with this is definitely an odd choice with so many chunky variables a shape would have made more sense, like penne or rigatoni. But they would be forgiven for choosing a weird noodle if they didn't also severely overcook the spaghetti. It had almost no bite. It was super mushy, and the tomato, white wine, and cream sauce it was drowning in, tastes mostly just like heavy cream. No depth of flavor whatsoever. Then there is the question of the crab meat. At least Chinese takeout restaurants own up to their schemes when they're going to use fake crab meat. For the most part they spell it out as "krab" on their menu so you know you're not getting the real thing. I don't know who they think they are fooling by calling this crab meat, but anyone with eyes would know that it's the fake stuff, before even putting it into your mouth. I put the words "fresh mushrooms" in quotations because If these are fresh mushrooms, I would still love to know what can they came from LOL. If they are somehow fresh and they cooked them to obliteration to give them this texture then these mushrooms are the reason why so many people complain about the weird texture of mushrooms. They don't have to be weird. You just have to know how to cook them. Finally, their side salad is an interesting interpretation of what a salad should be. Shredding romaine lettuce, topping it with a gigantic slice of tomato that makes no sense, and providing dressing do not maketh a salad. I'm pretty disappointed, because I continue to read reviews on Yelp and other sites that people really like this place. As it turns out, people don't actually know what good food is. They just become complacent by mediocrity and accept that this is in fact good. This food is lazy and uninspired. I get that they're trying to be old school with their cash only, down home "mom and pops" business, but you still have to know how to cook to run a restaurant. When did "old school" become a free pass to forget how to cook? The garlic knots are okay though. read more
