I wasn't very impressed at all with this Chuck E Cheese. I had my daughter's birthday party here and am only even giving two stars to this place because our party host assigned to us was excellent and very sweet. First off, I was a little put off that upon entering the building the young man at the front didn't ask to stamp my hand, my husband's hand, or either of my two young children. I was under the impression that children get their hands stamped with their accompanying adult to prevent them from leaving with someone they shouldn't. What was even more concerning was the fact that when we went to leave, the woman checking for hand stamps at the door was visibly frustrated when she realized none of my party had hand stamps. When I told her we never were offered one, she said "ugh, they are supposed to stamp you.....well whatever!" Then proceeded to let my children walk out the door (in the hands of my brother in law who shares no resemblance and had no obvious relation to them...could have been anybody). Very scary to think if this was a different situation! Also, almost all but 2 or 3 of the smaller child games were out of order, making it quite a bummer for my 2 year old's birthday party. We had to make our best out of the big kid games. After waiting in a very long line for prizes, I was a little irritated that the guy working the counter asked us blatantly "if that hurts" while pointing straight to my daughter's forehead, referring to her birthmark. Sort of an awkward ending to an already frustrating day. All in all I probably would not recommend this location, and will try somewhere else for my next party. read more

i have booked 2 birthday parties here this past year--- best experiences! Last year booked in stockton and it sucked.... Modesto may be smaller than stocktons store, but service is the best! Games are cheaper to play, than at other arcades, so you get to have more fun longer... child security is great at chuck e cheese I love the way that kids can run and play and are SAFE :) read more

This place is dirty. The salad bar is a mess. I've been sitting here for an hour and the three tables next to me are still dirty. There long lives for everything. We are visiting from out of town. We were Greeted Nicely. Their Pizza is ok but not my favorite. I do like the freedom of serving my own drink and free refills. We mainly go to play. I was surprised they changed to a scannable game card system. After doing the math the prices went up and you get less game time. I wasn't sure why the card wasn't working. It would scan but the game would not start. I know I lost a lot of points from this card being new to us. Towards the end of our visit I noticed you have to wait like 20-30 seconds for a few of the games have a slow start after you scan. 3 of the little kid games were out of order. It is also harder to keep track of your points. I like the tokens better. Sanitizer dispenser at the entrance and on the wall a plus+. I will return but I will be more careful in using the games card. read more

Had my daughters 3rd Birthday party here . They have different packages that you can choose from but still expect to pay more than what you are told! The "large" pizzas serves 3 people . We had to keep buying pizzas for our guests because of how tiny these pizzas were. Our package included 2 slices per each child (10 kids ) we only received 1 pizza for them , with at least 10 slices. We AGAIN had to order another pizza for the kids. Our package also included a special show for our daughter, well they included other kids who were also having a party which in my opinion , took away from making it special for my daughter. We had to remind our host to refill our jugs of punch and lemonade but still gets an A for effort . The adult cups that we had to purchase for almost $3 each were a size small from mc Donald's . It's ridiculously over prized . I gave 2 stars because most importantly , my daughter did have fun but we will not be having another birthday here again. read more

I had an event for my son on a weekday, which was perfect! The place was not packed and my party received top-notch attention. Jonathan was a GREAT, energetic host! I noticed the hosts for the other parties were not as happy to do their job. Everything turned out great and I did not have to do a thing but to pay at the end. What a rip off! Our group ordered a pizza, It sat on the counter under the heat lamp for at least 10 minutes (my grandson saw it there). I finally walked over waved my number at the help in the back of the kitchen. They said oh we will deliver it soon. I said I would take it. The crust was dry (very cardboard like) the onions (fresh ingredients HA) were funyons. The pizza was LOUSY and higher priced than round table. Will never order food again. The soda was $2.49 for a very small cup. Hope I never have to attend another birthday party at this place. read more

The pizza was great! Contrary to other reviews. My wife and I had a great time with our kids. The staff was friendly and very helpful. We will be going back. Please note this is a kids place! I've never been impressed with chuck e cheese's, ive done one party here and since then i've never went back. The price is high compared to other places, like johns incredible, and the service is worse! I ordered pizzas and while the party was going my pizza kept disappearing! Lo and behold the staff kept taking my plate! when i confronted them about it they told me they had to clean up for the next party when i asked when the next party was they said 45 minutes! This location is smaller than others but, I've had plenty of fun times here the past few years with the nieces and nephew. My bf and I have a good time playing ourselves. Lol. I noticed they've put in new games too. I'd rather play here than at the arcade at Fun Works. Those games were all mostly broken or dated. We'll definitely be back here again. read more

I must say it was horrible. We waited an hour for the food. When we got the pizza, the pizza was overly greasy. I thought that the bread sticks were a joke. Cheese sticks was plain greasy like someone had purposely dump it in cold oil, and oil was just dripping down from the sticks. I used to always love going to chucked cheese but recently we had to have my nephew's birthday party there and I'll tell you I was not impressed. First of all the food is always so expensive. Feeding two people costs a lot less at Round Table pizza with probably the best pizza than it does in chucked cheese. For the party, my sister in law had reserved tables for the party. When we got there, the reservation was not even on the list. So we had to show the confirmation number. Still no reservation. Instead of being accommodated. We were seated at the booths by the walls. Which is fine. The supervisor told my sister in law she could sit there for as long as we wanted. Then another waitress comes by and so freakin rudely turns to us and says do you guys know when you're gonna be ready to move? My sister said well the supervisor said we could sit here as long as we wanted. The waitress turns around and leaves rolling her eyes. It's like it's not enough that your pizza sucks, your food is expensive, your service is not exactly the best so now you roll your eyes at us. What the hell gives? And the whole thing cost my brother almost $300 for the lousy food. I'm rolling my eyes now. Lots of changes since I was last there. The woman who checked us in at the door was very friendly which is a good vibe for any business. They no longer have the salad bar all day. According to the cashier, it begins at 3:30pm. Instead, they have a pizza bar with a small assortment of pizzas and some green salad with a selection of dressings. We opted to use one of the email coupons instead, which is always a good deal. It took quite a while for our pizza to arrive, but not because of laziness. They were constantly working. Several of the games were not in operation. The manager seemed cordial, but tired. Still not sure what I think about the new card system. Seems like we used the credits awfully fast, even if they were only 10-15 credits. Not easy to keep track of credits left and we can never seem to use all of it because of the cost for the games. I do like coming to this place out of nostalgia. And the pizza is good. Maybe I just don't like change. read more
