The staff when you enter are fine. They look tired prob overstimulated lol. They aren't so happy but they aren't horrible. I got swindled when I first came and now I have a monthly membership because it was cheaper than paying for a day I guess. I have the lowest level bronze. Got it fo my son to bring him here occasionally and since now I'm paying $7.99/ month I guess I should come once a month at least lol. With the bronze tier (lowest) you get 20% off meals etc. we've had the pizza and of course it's not a gourmet place but it's actually not that bad. And we got one souvenir cup-mind as well bring it each time for the free unlimited drink refill. With the card-we get 40 "coins" can that be used daily (obvi I cannot be here daily) but that still provides lots of game playing since most require 1 token so honestly it's worth it. Between my son and two neices we still had leftovers. The points do not rollover with this membership so prizes must be claimed that day. Still a nice lil treat for my son and you also have 64 cards to share (just don't lose it or you have to pay for a replacement) Most of the games work but few don't. Honestly for me, it's a bit overstimulating and too loud. Especially since I've only gone after I'm off work-which other parents seem to have the same idea. Kids are out from school and it's a little zoo in there. I get it, I see parents decompressing and on their phones while they're kids are running wild (because at least it's secure so they can't leave without being hand checked with an adult and by passing two doors). I feel like my son is too young for this-does he enjoy it, yes. But it's so loud he doesn't want to leave and I notice his behavior acting up a bit. Overall it's a fun place for kids 5+ I think. But for the littles, it's not that educational or calming for them. I will still come back occasionally but after my pass expires I think I'll wait until my baby is maybe even 7 or 8. Their brains are still developing and it's just too much going on (but maybe it's calmer during school hours)

Let me be clear. This is not the closest Chuck E. Cheese to my house. It's not even in a neighborhood I'd casually wander through without checking my mirrors twice. And yet... this is where I celebrated my son's birthday. Willingly. Proudly. Almost joyfully. Because Lemon Grove Chuck E. Cheese is the cleanest, most operationally tight, most spiritually aligned location in the county. I don't know who runs this place, but they've clearly made a pact with something powerful. The Parking Lot: A Miracle in Asphalt Form Unlike other locations where parking feels like a competitive sport, Lemon Grove gives you actual spaces. Plural. You glide in like a VIP. You step out of your car with dignity. You don't have to circle the block praying to the gods of parallel parking. It sets the tone. The Cleanliness: Unsettling in the Best Way This place is so clean it makes you suspicious. Like... how? Why? Who is doing this? The floors shine. The tables sparkle. The bathrooms don't make you question your life choices. It's the kind of clean that makes you think, "Maybe I can raise children in this world." The Salad Bar: A Beacon of Hope Let me talk about the salad bar. This salad bar is kept stocked and tidy like it's curated by someone who believes in produce as a moral calling. Fresh lettuce. Crisp toppings. Dressing bottles that aren't sticky. It's the Escondido salad bar's overachieving cousin who went to private school and came back with a sense of purpose. My kids don't even eat salad and I still respect it. The Games Per Square Foot: A Density That Defies Physics This location has more games per square foot than any other Chuck E. Cheese I've stepped foot in. It's like they compressed an entire Dave & Buster's into a suburban shoebox and said, "Good luck, parents." Every corner is flashing, beeping, vibrating, spitting out tickets, or being aggressively slapped by a toddler who thinks they're training for the Junior Nationals. My kids go feral in the best way. I just stand there, holding a beer, watching them burn through tokens like they're hedge fund managers. The Birthday Experience We celebrated my son's birthday here and it felt... controlled. Organized. Almost elegant, in a Chuck E. Cheese way. The staff ran the show like seasoned generals. The kids were happy. The adults were hydrated. The rat made his appearance without triggering any primal fear responses. It was, dare I say, pleasant. Final Thoughts Lemon Grove Chuck E. Cheese is the unexpected hero of children's entertainment. Not the closest. Not in my favorite neighborhood. But absolutely the one I trust with my sanity, my children, and my salad bar expectations. Five stars. Because when a place surprises you this hard, you honor it.

I get it--Chuck E. Cheese is for kids, and the main draw is the games, characters, and birthday chaos. But as an adult who has to tag along (and pay for it), the food needs to at least be decent for the insane prices they're charging. Ordered a personal pizza thinking it'd be a quick, satisfying bite--$13 (or whatever it was exactly ) for something that was tiny, basically tasteless, and nowhere near worth it. It should've been way bigger, hotter, and actually flavorful for that kind of money. Tasted like something microwaved and forgotten. Then we got the app sampler to share--big mistake. Most of it came out cold: the fries were limp and cold, wings were straight-up cold and rubbery, barely any sauce or seasoning. Paid around $20 for what was essentially a cold, mediocre meal that wasn't even that great to begin with. Ridiculous prices for basically nothing edible. The pizza and apps are overpriced junk food at best. If you're going for the fun with kids, fine--but don't expect to eat well unless you want to feel ripped off. Won't be ordering food here again; stick to tokens and let the kids have their fun.

    $12 for sad chicken nuggets

For $12 chicken nuggets this what you get. Unable to get a refund because the manager on duty said there is nothing wrong with this order and this is what I order. Didnt offer to make it right. How embarrassing.

Paid 14 bucks for a AYCE salad bar but nothing was refilled/ in stock. Not even bacon bits or croutons, they have a hard time keeping ingredients in stock for the salad bar. The hour I was there none of the salad bar ingredients were restocked at all.

    Fun Pass

We had purchased a summer fun pass two summers ago. For the summer pass we could play unlimited games once a week for an hour every week, we could get a discount when we purchased food, and we got a lanyard. It was well worth it! We were able to visit every single Chuck E. Cheese in San Diego. My family liked this location the best. Staff were always nice, the area is well maintained and most of the games were working. Prizes may not be as good as other business but the games are a decent price. We purchased the Fun Pass recently. It's much more pricer than the summer pass but we could go everyday. Due to school we made sure to go at least once a week. I posted a picture for more information about the pass. There are good amount of seating area booths and tables. I'm here to say it but I don't mind Chuck E Cheese Pizza. In fact I like it. I also like their unlimited salad bar which they do great at refilling and keeping clean. We upgraded our cups to the refillable and it's good for a lifetime. My kids probably don't want to tell their friends but they like Chuck E. Cheese. It's affordable, safe, has decent food, and the staff are nice. As a parent I'm thankful they still willing to go. When we go to D & B we spend 3 times as much for one visit. At D & B I have to keep a good eye on my kids since they can go in out without us, at Chuck E Cheese it's well lit and my kids can only leave with another adult who has the same stamp as they do. I'm glad we have a place to have some family fun.

    Raw chicken wings

This place is absolutely disgusting. I always come here for the location but I will start driving 20 min out of my way for a better location. For starters, they are completely understaffed and horrible customer service. We paid over $200 for food, wrist band for play area, and play card. The salad bar was not even fully stocked. When we told the employee, they said they were "no longer stocking the salad bar". We asked for a refund since we paid for AYCE and they said we would need a manager so we said "bring one". Manager refused to come out and employee restocked salad bar. We began to eat our wings and notices after ate we some that it was RAW inside!! Imagine paying $200 for raw wings! We immediately went to an employee and showed them the raw wings and only offered to "re-cook" the wings and not give us fresh wings. The bathrooms are absolutely disgusting and half the games are off. Paper for Photo Booth is never stocked and when another customer told an employee, they simply shut the machine off. Table are all dirty- no one bothers to clean them up. Never again coming to this location. The one in Santee is much nicer and at this point, worth the drive.

Chucke Cheese is always fun for our kids and I'm glad they have kid check. Wanted to give a special shout out to Chris. My kid kept following him around and he was patient, smiling and just an example of the great heart it takes to work around kids! Thanks Chris!

Order a pizza and all burned and not enough cheese not worth it. Manager not a good fit

Employee that denied my monthly pass for my five-year-old that's autistic because she said they don't do phone numbers to upload cards.

I want to give a big thanks to Alyssa for wasting approximately an hour from a five year-old that's in the spectrum. She refused to upload his monthly pass since I did not have the app and I always use my wife's phone number at all locations in San Diego. Instead of her, verifying my last name with an ID, which is unnecessary, she could have uploaded the card, but instead she turned us away Let's all give her a big thanks whenever you're down here at Chuck E. Cheese in lemon Grove for her disgusting pathetic behavior For someone that claims they are the manager of the store. I can't wait for corporate to read this message. And for corporate, your service tech was very professional, very understanding and made sure things were taken care of without escalation. Did not get his name, but he definitely should be holding a title as management.

There is one person currently being helped, two teens and then me. The employee finishes with the first customer and then helps the two teens. He finishes with them and when he gets to me he just turns and walks away. He does not say a word, just turns and walks away. A simple "I'll be back in a minute" or even just putting your hand up and saying "gimme a sec" would be totally fine. Instead, no communication, just walks away. I told the group of 3 or 4 people just standing there that I needed assistance and one of them went to refill my card. As i was waiting the guy who was serving the line on the far left came over and asked if I needed help. He was really friendly (he looked Asian or Mexican). Anyways, he's the only reason I'm giving that place two stars instead of one.

Instead of ordering drinks at the bar, you start a tab by leaving your credit card with the cashier. They give you a tap card that lets you pour your own drinks. You can sample just a little or fill up a whole glass. It's completely up to you. They have everything from beer and wine to a few craft cocktails on tap. If you want to try something different, you can swap out your glass and keep exploring. The same tap card also activates all of the arcade games, which I thought was a really cool touch. It makes everything feel connected instead of having to carry around a bunch of tokens or cash. When I visited, they were hosting trivia night. It definitely brought in a crowd. Most of the tables were full, so walking around got a little tight because the space isn't very big. Even so, the atmosphere was lively. It felt like everyone was having a good time. I ended up trying the Cranberry Mule, which I really enjoyed. It was nice being able to pour just the amount I wanted instead of committing to a full drink. Overall, I had a really fun time here. They also had plenty of "fair food" for those looking for a junky snack. My only complaint was that there wasn't enough shaded areas to sit in and enjoy a meal. Additionally, they didn't really have any vegetarian food options. We were starving (our main reason for checking out this place) and found cheese pizza slices as the only vegetarian friendly option. Seemed quite odd considering how popular vegetarianism has become, especially in places like California.. A group of friends and I ventured in, one Saturday night in June for a few drinks and some good clean fun. We were all shocked to find the parking lot packed! We all kind of agreed that it had been at least four years since any of us had been to the venue. Brewski's got a makeover! More games. Refillable "token" cards. Loads of tables and chairs and a large patio. The bar was redone as well and took up the main long wall of the bar. It is now a cool arcade bar. The bartenders were quick and efficient. They made really good cocktails and even suggested a few. Loved the token cards. They were easy to fill and even worked on the jukebox so that's where all of my money went. I love jukeboxes!!! There were several large parties in the bar when we arrived but it was still easy to get around and find something to play. We had a great time and already made plans to go back for another group outing. Brewski's, you've outdone yourself!
