Great breakfast / brunch diner. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience is old school and nostalgic.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This specific location has been here for ever and is a staple in area. Service is great and the food is fire. I shad the country fried chicken with coleslaw and potatoes and corn bread. Super yummy. I tried a bowl of they're chili. Fire!!! Ice tea was good as well. I loved the gravy here, an absolute must. Glad I passed by for afternoon breakfast. Definitely recommend them for anyone wondering if chucks wagons is any good for breakfast or lunch. YES , they're phenomenal and if your in the area it's a no brainer. Thank you, I'll be back soon!

My wife and I woke up early this past Sunday and were in a mood for a good breakfast and noticed several Chuck Wagon restaurants scattered across Miami. We passed by their Bird Road location and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the interior had the old fashioned diner vibe.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu also included the classic staples you will find so we ordered their biscuits, the sautéed breakfast potatoes, and Wagon Wheel plate. The biscuits came out too toasty and really lacked any flavor. The Wagon Wheel was the main entree which included two sunny side eggs, sausage patties, Georgia sausage, and two pancakes. This dish was very large so my wife and I shared, it was also underwhelming. The only exception of the meal was the Georgia sausage which was tender and very flavorful. The potatoes were tasty but just the standard sides you find in other diners. The staff here were very friendly and you can tell that they have a loyal clientele.

The food and service are excellent! We're regulars here and we're never dissappointed. It's one of our favorites. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Quiet homely american breakfast done right![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Haven't eaten here in a while, the quality of the food is still good. Parking can be difficult at busy times. They are closed on Mondays. What is concerning is that the food portions are considerably smaller, doesn't even fill the plate it's served on. Hash browns, grits, ham steak, and even the pancakes are much smaller than they used to be. I'm having trouble understanding how a side of grits at an 8oz. Serving can be billed at $3.99 We are talking about grits, made of corn...Can buy an entire box for $2.00 at any grocery store in town. Settling my nerves was that the waitress was extremely polite and attentive.

Had some time to kill and I needed lunch. On Bird Road did not want fast food or a chain. Stopped in at the Chuck Wagon since on a Saturday at 12:30 there was just one parking space open. The place was slammed. Menu and looked good and the prices seemed reasonable. I ordered breakfast and it was incredible. Large serving, eggs cooked just right and potatoes were delicious. Staff were great and professional. Can't wait to go back and try lunch. All in all a great place to go to again

When you're looking for classic, stick to your ribs type breakfast, Chuck Wagon is the way to go! Although this location has been opened for less than 20 years, it feels like much longer. The type of place that never changes & "everybody knows your name & they're always glad you came". Stoped by recently for breakfast w my dad (it's one of his favourite spots) & we were VERY satisfied. I chose the Veggie Omelet w Home Fries & it was SO GOOD. Did a single Blueberry + Pecan Pancake on the side & my life was complete! My dad did the Biscuits + Gravy & loved it. Our waitress was sooooo lovely, kind & attentive & the whole homey, old school vibe was just perfect. Love this spot!

I love this restaurant. Perfect place for some wholesome, home style breakfast. If you ever need to not feel lonely come here. The staff is super welcoming, and does not constantly shower you with "do you need anything??", which makes breakfast here extra peaceful. The only thing is you have to get here before they close around 2:30 pm; oh how I wish they were opened past that time I got the tuna melt, and let me just say hands down the best melt I've tasted so far in south Florida. And I've only had a few so don't take that so seriously... but the tuna melt here is so delicious. Order it. It came with fries- I devoured those, and potato salad (or coleslaw). My boyfriend got the Apple cinnamon pancakes, he loved them! Overall this is a 5/5, you get what you come for at this location, nothing more nothing less. I would recommend.

This place deserves more than 5 stars. The staff are incredible: personable, welcoming, and humorous! They were super attentive and refilled our coffee quickly when it was running low. The food came out fast, was delish, and great price... wow... We ordered the tuna sandwich which as you can see was super generous and it came with choice of side - we got potato salad which was incredible and flavorful! Just perfect. We also ordered the chuck wagon grand slam...yum! Potatoes were fresh and delish, sausage and eggs were good too. I've had better biscuits and gravy but combined with the rest of the plate the whole dish was really tasty. We are blown away. The place doesn't look like much from the outside but it's amazing! Don't judge a book by its cover. We will definitely be back! And we will bring our friends and family too :)

I ordered breakfast to go and they totally screwed it up. I got the chuck wagon special with grilled onions and bacon crumpled on top. I went to the A.D.Barnes park nearby to sit at a picnic table and enjoy my breakfast. I open the bag and there was no fork! I had to bum off a fork from a family that was having a picnic. Then I open the box and find raw onion instead of sauteed. To top it off they charged me $3 for a side of bacon that was no more than 2 strips crumpled on top the meal.

    The chicken and waffles.

The Shakshuka was okay--perfectly edible, but nothing memorable. The Steak & Eggs was pretty much the same: decent, but definitely not worth the premium price. The biggest disappointment was the pancakes. They were dense, had noticeable lumps in the batter, and were nowhere near as light and fluffy as good pancakes should be. The syrup also didn't taste like real maple syrup, which was surprising considering how expensive everything is. Speaking of prices, Café Bastille is seriously overpriced for what it delivers. The restaurant also wasn't cool enough inside--the air conditioning struggled to keep the space comfortable, which made the meal less enjoyable. The one bright spot was the service. Our server was friendly, attentive, and did an excellent job throughout the meal. One more thing that is becoming increasingly frustrating in Miami: the bill already included a mandatory 20% gratuity. While I always tip for good service, automatically adding 20% regardless of the experience feels excessive. This trend is getting out of control and takes away the customer's ability to reward service based on merit. Overall, this feels like a place designed more for tourists than for locals. Nice presentation and good marketing, but the food simply doesn't justify the prices. Unfortunately, I wouldn't come back.

I happened to be in the area so I checked out this place which was pretty cool. They had bar seating, couch seating with tables as well as outdoor seating. A lot of people were there working on their computers while having drinks and pastries. I had a salted caramel latte which I ordered at the computer and was served quickly. I requested it with oat milk, but it was made with whole milk and the barista had no issue remaking it for me, which was nice. The flavor was amazing with just the right amount of salt and caramel; it was not too sweet and it was very smooth. The only issue I had was the parking, there was absolutely no place to park so I had to double park in an alley and run in to get my drink. However, I imagine if you live or work in the area it would be a cute place to pop in and get a beverage. They also had empanadas and some various pound cake slices which people were partaking in so I imagine they were decent.

I eventually had to ask a different server for water, and I was given hot water instead of cold. To make matters worse, the food itself was bland and lacked flavor. The hardest part about dining here was deciding what I wanted to order. I could have ordered the entire menu it looked so good! Helpful tip... check out the menu and know what you're going to order before you get in line. Otherwise you're going to be pressured to order at the front of the line. When you walk in, you place your order and pay for it and take a table number. You need to find your own table. Our service was pretty quick, despite how busy the restaurant was. My cold brew was very good and a nice start to the meal. Our guacamole came next and it was nicely styled with pomegranate, cheese and cilantro on top. Yum! The real star of the show for me was this unassuming looking House Club Sandwich that was to die for. Seriously ... it was so good. I ordered mine without the ham, and it was divine!
