Nice little cafe with good food. We had the Sunday morning buffet that had several choices for food. I sampled the biscuits and gravy which were very good. The hash was pretty good. The scrambled eggs were not good at all. I believe they were powdered but not 100% certain on that. The bacon was really good. The sausage had great flavor but, personally, I am not a fan of sausage that has a casing on it. They had a sausage and egg quesadilla which tasted decent. That was the extent of my experience with the buffet. One of the members in our group had the cinnamon french toast with scrambled eggs on the side. Her breakfast tasted fantastic! Our waitress was great and very sweet. She tended to us often and it was a very busy morning. The ambiance was okay, it was basically a diner. Overall, I would have to say that i would go back but I would most likely order from the menu rather than have the buffet. read more

While the food is very good and the staff gives great service the building is very dated and less welcoming.

Great little classic cafe. A really great small town feel, and solid food to boot. They serve breakfast all day, but I had their BLT plus avocado. Loaded with bacon, which was cooked perfectly. What a great find. We ordered chicken club sandwiches, blts, and cowboy burgers. Some had onion rings, one had fries, and another had chips. We inhaled our food and loved every bite. Good food for very reasonable prices. Do NOT leave without something for dessert. The are known for their fried pies. We had a cherry one, along with bread pudding and oreo cake. I will say the food was good however you need to make sure your bill is accurate. My friends and I had breakfast there and we ordered a breakfast that clearly stated on the menu that is was $6.50. Above the menu it states it is served with hash browns or Cowboy taters (no extra charge).They charged us $6.95 for the meal AND $2.50 extra for the potatoes. When bringing it to their attention they said we were the first ones that has questioned them in 4 years?!! He clearly said it was a mis-print which means ALL of their menus are mis-printed?!! Found this place via a search, decided to stop in and have a bite to eat. The wait staff is incredible, always a smiling face and the food is just as incredible. I recommend the Wild Wild West! My wife had the regular biscuits and gravy and a plate sized pancake. Everything was great from when we pulled into the parking lot until when we left!!! read more

Stopped in for lunch while on a day trip to the lake. Where to begin?! The food was fantastic...the staff was friendly and seemed genuinely happy to have us there...it was just a very inviting atmosphere to have a meal. At the recommendation of our waitress, I had the Saturday lunch special: homemade meatloaf and mashed potatoes. Both were extraordinary and the portions were huge! When my wife and I were too full to sample the homemade turtle cake dessert, the staff was kind enough to bag up some ice to help us keep a (giant) slice cold enough to enjoy after our 2 hour drive home. Our first visit to the restaurant was for breakfast and we were pleased with the food and service 5 stars. Our second visit for lunch, not good at all, 1 Star, thus the 3 stars. We had the hamburger steak and fish an chips along with onion rings. The hostess was wonderful and seated us promptly and friendly. It was 1:00 so the restaurant had calmed down since the buffet was closed. Our waitress was very friendly with all the tables and I believe while she was visiting with customers our food set too long. The food was brought to the table by the hostess and the waitress came over and said she was talking with other customers. The fries were cool, limp and greasy. The mashed potatoes were cold enough to not melt the pat of butter we put on top. The chef must not have tasted the brown gravy on the hamburger steak as it was too salty to eat. I ate the roll and my husband ate some of the rest. We were very disappointed. I had to step out for a phone call, but wish my husband would have mentioned the experience. We are from out of town and decided to hit up a local spot for breakfast on our way out. It was very crowded but there was a buffet so we were optimistic. We sat down and our waitress told us that it would be at least 45 minutes to receive anything from the menu but the buffet was open. We decided to try it out and found out quickly that we should have just hit up a gas station. Food was edible but barely. Maybe breakfast isn't their thing. Perfect stop on our way home from a week on the lake. Hometown diner in every way. Great menu selection, prices, and amazing service. Burgers, good. Cobb salad, great. Pancakes.... Jr hi son had to send his friends pics of his platter of 3 huge pancakes. And then he could only finish 1 of them. :) We had car trouble after leaving the cafe and staff was quick to offer water, a booth, whatever we needed when we walked back in to get out of the heat. Great breakfast place. I would recommend Chuckwagon because of the owner Gina. She always has a genuine smile on her face and greets every customer she sees. Her husband Joe is also very friendly. Not sure what to say about this business. Excellent buffet on the weekends. Two thumbs up for Carrie who operates and runs that buffet and head of it cause she can work it alone or with another but she's great. Waitresses are friendly. Amanda is awesome and Irita is great also. The cooks, Todd and Danny have been there the longest and can manage that line busting their rears with no mistakes throughout the day or maybe one but they deserve tips if cooks were tipped. Joe, Gina, and Dominick are great owners and operators of their business. Great to see the 3 of them along with staff work together as a team and no worries when Gina and Joe want to take a week vacation. Food is hot and fresh. Prepared and cooked as ordered and the minute your ticket is given to the cooks. Definitely recommended for breakfast and lunch items. Just have to try for yourself and try their buffet one time. Completely missed this place for past 3 years. Just saw the good reviews and gave it a try - and glad we did! Added swiss to the onion/mushroom burger and it was delicious with their homemade chips.
