Love these salsas, and great tasting tacos with daily specials, come try for yourself.

The environment is like home, the staff are always friendly and attentive. The tacos were amazing and the salsas are delicious and spicy too. They have daily specials on drinks and of course Taco Tuesday ; come try for yourself.

Very disappointed this last visit. Two things in the first 20 minutes that made up get up and walk out. First there was a sign on the front door saying only accepting cash. When husband asked waitress why and if it will be a standard she said no that something was wrong with their cc machine. Ok not a deal breaker no biggie. Then we ordered two diet cokes and they came to the table in cans and straws. We asked the guy who brought if we could get them from the soda machine as it would get warm after a While or at least ice. He said he would ask. Our waitress came back and apologized that the diet pop only came in cans. We've been there several times and it never came in cans. Getting ice would be one thing but then I asked her if we would get refills on them since they were in cans and she said if you want them but they would only be $2. $2's????? She said there was something wrong with the gas to the soda machine that's why the cans. I looked around and I saw other tables with sodas and glasses and I said you're kidding. We have to pay for every single refill and she said unfortunately yes and my husband and I said no that's OK. We'll go somewhere else. She apologized and she said she would see if they would allow refills for the diet soda and we just told her don't bother if those two things were just a prelude of what was yet to come. We decided to just walk out. that was the first 20 minutes of our visit. Who knows what would've happened after that so we were thoroughly disappointed. I really don't think we will go back.

I'm so glad we gave Chula's a try one Tuesday last November. Ever since then, we have been coming back every week for their margaritas and tacos. Taco Tuesday's call for a $2.50 taco and let me tell you-- they are fire.! They are so full of flavor and the green salsa adds so much more to it. Thursdays are half off house margaritas ($6) got so tipsy after one margarita. We took advantage of trying different dishes aside from tacos this time around. Both were so delicious. I can go on and on about how good their food was but I'm still so tipsy that I'll have to cut my review short (I had 3 margs tonight). I love Chula's and I think you should all give it a try!

The exterior of this restaurant looks a bit rough, so I've been hesitant to try out this local spot. But I'm glad I finally did because I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered take-out. Specifically, the carnitas tacos were very good. Great flavor, moist and tender. The beans were also very tasty and not just a forgettable side like at most places. I also thought the salsas were decent. I've been back a few times already and so far this is my go-to place for Mexican food. Give it a shot.

As a…read morevegetarian, I was excited to try the restaurant because of its extensive selection of vegetarian dishes, and it definitely gave me plenty of options to choose from. Our server, Ximena, was outstanding. She took the time to share the story behind the restaurant's name and the inspiration for its cuisine, which added a personal touch to the meal. She was friendly, attentive, patient, and never made us feel rushed, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. The Queso Fundido was absolutely incredible. It arrived at the table bubbling hot and perfectly melted. We paired it with corn tortillas, which complemented the rich, cheesy flavor perfectly. That was definitely the right choice! For my entrée, I ordered the Poblano Rajas Burrito, prepared suiza style. It was a unique dish that I enjoyed, although it wasn't what I would consider traditional Mexican cuisine. In hindsight, I would have skipped both the mushrooms and the potatoes. The potatoes, in particular, changed the overall flavor and took away from the more authentic experience I was expecting. The rice inside the burrito also wasn't traditional Mexican rice, but it was still flavorful and well prepared. Overall, I had a lovely meal at Fonda de Paula and look forward to returning to explore more of their vegetarian offerings. If you're in the area, I definitely recommend stopping by and giving them a try.

I was attracted by the festive red umbrellas of the outdoor seating, and, amazingly, there was a table available. The service was prompt, polite, friendly, but a bit forgetful, slightly less attentive than the Spanish speaking guests got but I guess that's only natural. I do have to say the food was very good. Everything was fresh and flavorful. The beer selection is pretty one sided but the loco wine and cocktail downtown prices chill you right out of those choices. Despite the decent food, I took a star for the high pricing for a product that you can get at other Mexican restaurants for notably less--and for the Guac NOT being "freshly prepared tableside" whatever that means (Don't advertise something in your menu if you're not actually going to do it). I would not say to avoid this place but be prepared to have mucho menos dinero after you're done for an experience that may not match the weight loss of your wallet.

The pork belly, ciabatta, and balsamic were all good individually, but together the flavors just didn't work. It felt mismatched... * Colorado lamb kebab: 10/10. This is one of the more $$ entrées on the menu, but it's absolutely worth it. The portion was generous, the lamb was high quality, and the artichoke pesto paired really well with the rich, gamey flavor. The roasted pearl onions were a great addition too. I would definitely recommend this dish. * Foxtail paella: 8/10 flavorful orzo paella loaded with seafood. Definitely a sharing type of entree! Always a great time at Foxtail with great food and great service!

It was 5:45, I didn't have a reservation, a they didn't have a table available until 7:30 but there were spots at the bar which they said was full service. My friend and I cozied up to it and ate there. What a surprisingly good experience. The staff was super friendly and that bartenders had great suggestions. I hate when people at the restaurant say everything is good. Not these young ladies. They made some sound suggestions which we followed. French onion soup and the steak frites were both excellent and priced well IMO. They have a really good whiskey/bourbon selection with a few hard to find bottles. I settled on a Blantons neat. They had Pappy, but I'm not wasting money on that anymore. Food came out quickly and we ate and watched a baseball game. The locals at the bar told us about their membership program where I guess for a small mo they fee you get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate once a month. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't live anywhere near there, but if I did I'd certainly join. In any case, if you live anywhere close, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit.
