Outstanding tacos and a perfect pairing with great beer -- what more can you ask for? My wife and I ordered two three-taco dinners and every single taco delivered. The Bistek a la Mexicana and Carne Asada were boldly seasoned, super flavorful, and piled high with meat. No skimping here. The guy who took our order suggested the grilled chicken, and he absolutely nailed it -- fantastic recommendation. We brought the tacos over to Goldfinger Brewing and they went beautifully with the Chela Clara and Chela Negra. El Arroyito even tossed in limes, so we happily "fruited" the Chela Clara, which made it even more refreshing. Awesome food, friendly service, and a great neighborhood vibe. I was finally able to come to this place. It's located in a small strip mall. It's about a 3 min drive from downtown Westmont. I believe this place is 1 year old. This seems pretty authentic, I've seen a lot of Mexicans come in to eat and order food. It looks like a Mexican family that runs this place. This place is a lot bigger than how it looks from the outside. There is an abundance of seating. When I went after 11:30 am, there were mostly take out orders. The menu is pretty big. I ordered a breakfast burrito, lomo taco, and campechano taco. The toppings you can choose Mexican or American style. I always go with the traditional. American style is like going to Taco Bell. You also get complimentary chips and salsa along with a small cup of soup. Chips and salsa are usually free when you go to real Mexican places. Service was okay, it needed some work. Service could have been a bit more attentive. There is a small credit card fee. Other than that, my meal was about $19 without tax and tip. Overall, it's a 4 out of 5. If they fix the service part it could easily be a 5. -breakfast burrito 5 - this is a really good size burrito. I could have just ordered this. It came with eggs, chorizo, beans, cheese, green pepper, and onion. Everything was delicious. -lomo taco 4 - first time trying a loin taco. Meat was slightly chewy but I never had this before. Nothing to compare. I think it could have been more tender to reduce the chewiness. The loin was seasoned too. -campechano taco 5 - you can order steak and chorizo or al pastor and chorizo. This place definitely exceeded my expectations. The chimichanga was absolutely amazing--crispy on the outside, packed with flavorful ingredients, and so loaded that it easily fed two people with leftovers. Every bite tasted fresh and well made. The restaurant itself was spotless, and you could tell they take pride in keeping everything clean and welcoming. On top of that, the ladies serving us were incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel right at home with their friendly service. Don't let the strip mall location fool you -- this is a true mom-and-pop gem. From the second we walked in, the service was UNREAL. The nicest hosts and servers, so warm and welcoming, you can tell they genuinely care. And the food? Made with so much love you can actually taste it. We got the birria tacos and WOW -- PHENOMENAL. The consommé was absolutely out of this world, and the beef inside the tacos was insanely tender, rich, and flavorful. Every bite was perfect. The al pastor taco was also incredible -- perfectly smoky, juicy, and tender. The chicken torta was so, so good too -- stuffed to the brim with meat and toppings, super satisfying and packed with flavor. And the charred jalapeños... honestly the star of every plate. The service was A+ but the burrito I order my god what a disaster. First time here because I didn't want to go to chipotle because they don't know how to fold a burrito and as soon I took my first bite it felt apart. Order a campechano steak and chorizo well they burn the chorizo and the steak had tons of fat. I was afraid they were going to pile it up with all the lettuce and tomatoes and Noel they went easy on it, that I wish they had gone heavy so it could soak all that chorizo oil that was poring from the sides. I was charge $18.76 so I wonder how much was my sangria, the sauce was good but the whole burrito was not enjoyable. I should have gone to chipotle and put up with a young kid trying to roll a perfect burrito. read more

I didn't know what to expect... but wow... the taco was over flowing with meat ( I got chicken) it was tender and flavorful, the shell was Crunchy and flavorful as well...the beans and rice were a burst of goodness with each bite! The young lady working was very patient and explained everything to me and was helpful. 10/10! Oh don't forgot the carrots and onions yummy as well! Please give this place a try! Great addition to the neighborhood. Good food at a good value. Had carne asada, shrimp, carnitas tacos on corn tortillas. I can't comment on authenticity but it hits the spot without being overly salty. Also churros were a nice surprise with a side of caramel and chocolate sauce. Worth trying out! read more

Ugh really annoying when people taking order don't know English, makes it super hard to get a chance to have authentic Mexican food. Got a headache trying valiantly to place order by phone, picked up order and receipt doesn't show what you bought either which was also really annoying/just random prices for stuff called Misc (no one there inperson who you can talk to in English either), and when I got home of course order wasn't correct SIGH. read more

Been anxious to try this place since new management converted the space from take-out only to include dine-in. Menu offerings were plentiful, and prices reasonable. I had the quesobirria taco dinner, and my wife had chile relleno tacos. Mine was great, and hers was very good (she prefers the peppers to be just a tad more spicy, but the cheese was excellent). Will definitely return to try more of the dishes. No complaints about service - place was not crowded, but a few take-out diners were in and out while we were there. read more
