Wow. Tried their special matcha cloud with coconut water and my mind was blown. I've seen other places serve this combo but this was my first time trying it. It was very light and refreshing. We also ordered the strawberry matcha einspanner which had a good strong matcha flavor. Ordered online to skip waiting in line!
I am so excited about this second location for arisan, the first of which is located in San Jose's Vietnam Town. The interior shares the same charm as the original. There are charging outlets, a decent number of tables/seats, bathroom access, and free WiFi, so it is a good spot to study or work (especially because they're open a bit later). I will note that a lot of websites are blocked--the Washington State University webpages, for example, so be forewarned. The menu offers similar options to other Vietnamese-style cafes, with a number of matcha and coffee options. They also offer some more unique flavors, such as pandan and sweet corn. I also appreciate their pastry options, which, though limited in variety, are very cute--I tried their strawberry choux pastry, which I thought was pretty good, though the cream inside was a touch too light in flavor. Their pricing is on the high side of normal, with most drinks running you at least $6.50 and up to ~$8, but I find that the quality is satisfactory. The matcha isn't the strongest I've had, but it's still quite good, and the size of the drink is on the larger side. I like to also think of it as paying to spend time there to study. The service is really great here--there isn't an ordering tablet, but the menu is posted very visibly, I was offered recommendations, and my order was taken and served very quickly. Everyone is very friendly as well. I honestly felt very welcomed and comfortable. I was offered a free sample of the choux pastry (likely because I came close to their opening), which they informed me are made in-house! I definitely recommend giving this spot a try, as I really enjoyed my visit and want to try some of their more unique drinks. It's a great spot to just grab a drink or to sit down and work, and the care with which they make their food and drink stand out to me. The primary reason I took one point off is because of the blocked websites issue--I really want to study and work here more often, but I can't be sure if it's always possible.
It sounded like Arisan had a really good soft opening. We ended up going there a week later during an off time and everything went smoothly. There's decent seating inside but since it shares the parking lot with Hankook, we decided to take it to-go and do some Korean food shopping. We ordered the Honey Match Latte and the Matcha Einspanner Latte, both with oat milk. The drinks were prepared quickly and we were on our way in less than 15 minutes. Both drinks were refreshing and had visual appeal. I can see coming here frequently due to its location (I work and work-out nearby)! Perhaps they'll have a loyalty program that I can leverage.
Came back for the bogo free milk tea promo! It was lovely to see that they have more decorations and merch on display since the last time I was here :) Also saw many people working/studying. When I arrived, there was a small line and the wait wasn't that bad at all. The staff helping me order was super kind and answered my questions~~ I also learned that you can't do milk substitutes for the milk teas lol ~ Taro Tornado (less sweet, regular ice): The tea and the jellies were nice but the taro wasn't particularly hitting. It's chunks and bits of real taro at the bottom of the drink. It was interesting to try, but I would not get this again and I wouldn't recommend it either (sorry)! ~ Dark roast tie guan yin oolong milk tea (less sweet, regular ice): Now this was a nice drink. Very fragrant and delicious. Love the jellies too! Looking forward to trying more drinks in the future!

As much as I love both, I'm tired...tired of the long lines and disappointment with all the new matcha and tea shops opening. BUT, Arisan hits. So, their expansion to Sunnyvale is a WIN because I don't have trek further down to Viet Town for their drinks. *Specialties*: Matcha and Viet coffee. They also have milk teas, fruit teas, and their housemade desserts: choux and boxed cakes. They use fresh ingredients and fruits. No surcharge for oat milk. From their TeaHee days, housemade cheese balls available as a topping. It's savory cheese suspended in a jelly. Here's why I like Arisan and their new location: (+) Online ordering available (even during soft opening) so we didn't have to wait in line. (+) Feeling ballsy? Since they open at 9 am, you can get your boba fix in the morning instead of waiting until 11 am - 12 pm when other tea shops open. (+) They have sugarcane and pennywort drinks that's hard to find in the Sunnyvale/Santa Clara area. (+) Spacious with plenty of seating indoors and two tables outside. Free WiFi and outlets. (+) Two restrooms. (+) EAAASSSSY parking. So much easier compared to their E San Jo location. Unfortunately, Arisan's drinks are not on par with their original location yet. Visited during the soft opening and it was 10% off everything so giving them grace: * Tieguanyin Oolong Milk Tea, less sweet ($8.25) It was creamier than usual, and while the roasty tea flavor came through, there was an odd cinnamon aftertaste. * Pandan Green Milk Tea, less sweet ($8.25) Creamy with a distinct grassy vanilla-y pandan flavor but the floral green flavor was on the weaker side. * Strawberry Matcha Einspänner, less sweet ($7.95) - Whisked to order Strong earthy flavor mellowed by the milk and strawberry puree. Topped with a creamy, cloud-like strawberry sweet cream for dessert vibes. * Einspänner Latte, less sweet ($7.50) Diaaaabeeeeteees sweet and the Arabica coffee wasn't as bold. S E R V I C E Cordial and efficient service. We ordered online, and our order was ready in just 7-8 minutes (Saturday afternoon). Overall, happy to see Arisan expand further north[west] with easy parking!
I've heard a lot about this place and was excited for their expansion to Sunnyvale! No wait on a Monday at lunchtime although I hear it's been busy on weekends; I ordered a tiramisu latte and got it quickly. The drink looked great like all their drinks do, and I really liked that they gave a marscapone biscuit on the side (in a bag for easy takeout). The drink itself was a bit of a miss, it tasted a bit like concentrated cold brew coffee with a bitter off taste. I think they're much more known for their matcha drinks which I'm excited to try next time. The vibe here is amazing though! Spacious and bright with lots of seating, and I love the decor, there's a full length mirror, plants everywhere, and flowers on every table. Seems like a great place to study or hang out, I'll definitely be back :)
We read good reviews for the San Jose location and we just found out a Arisan Sunnyvale location opened. So we checked out the Sunnyvale location. It's new. It's clean. It was the old Korean coffee place with pastries shaped like a walnut. We knew we wanted to try the Choux pastries and the tiramisu cake but the latter one was sold out by 1 pm. Lucky us, they had a special, buy 2, get 1 free choux pastry because they made too many choux buns that morning. Great deal for 3, $7.75. Buns were fresh and filled with chocolate, strawberry, and tiramisu flavors. Great with the deal, I would really need to want a sweet to pay $3.50 for one unless it was bigger. We also got the tiramisu latte and Einspanner latte. We got less sugar but still yum. I would have done full sugar because I love sweets and it would have been excellent but flavors came thru on less sugar. I could Arisan on my coffee rotation.
I was super excited to see another Arisan location open since I'm a huge fan of the one on Story Road. It's conveniently located in the same plaza as Hankook Supermarket and is noticeably more spacious than the Story Road location. I was surprised to see it already so packed during their soft opening phase. Unfortunately, my drink (Matcha Einspanner) was a letdown. It tasted very watered down and lacked the richness I was expecting. While the drink was prepared quickly, the service didn't feel as warm or welcoming. Since they're still in their soft opening phase, I'm willing to give them another shot and see if things improve.
Came here on grand opening and the line moved decently fast! They have a ton of menu options and work through orders quickly. They didn't have a regular matcha latte, only a honey matcha latte so was a bit on the sweet side but would love to try some of their flavored matchas! The jasmine oolong tea leans heavily on the jasmine side. When the hype dies down a bit, would love to work from here during the day since it's a great study spot and so cute!
Not bad for a soft opening! We ordered three drinks and it all came out fast (less than 5 minutes). Ordered: Strawberry matcha einspanner latte Banana matcha latte Mango passion fruit oolong tea It was really refreshing and the taste is better than expected! Only problem is there is not enough seatings. Will be coming back.
I am a fan! The coffee flavor is perfect. The flavored creams complement the coffee well without overpowering or watering down the sugar. Checked this place out because of the sweet corn latte & desserts. Was hesitant bc the past corn lattes I've tried were just sweet corn milk drinks with no taste of coffee or no option of coffee at all. So when ordering I made sure there was cofffee. It was very creamy and caffeinated. We also got matcha on matcha - very matcha-y. I'm not a matcha fan but my bf is and he said it was creamy and flavored really well, earthy in a good way. It's either organic whole milk or oat milk and no add on charges for the swap. Plac eis cute with a good amount of tables and chairs to sit and do work or catch up. Came towards the end of the day so pastries and sweets are almost out. Can't wait to come back again. Staff was friendly and easy parking.
We got the coconut matcha, honey matcha, and strawberry matcha. The team likes the matcha, just not happy that they put less drink in your cup just because you ordered less ice. Really like this place until they did that.
Love that I no longer have to drive all the way to San Jose just to get my Arisan fix. I ordered the Einspänner latte with oat milk and asked for it to be less sweet. Huge shoutout to the staff for recommending it because it ended up being exactly my kind of drink. If you prefer your coffee less sweet, they can definitely customize it for you. The balance is what really stood out. The cream is rich and velvety without overpowering the espresso, which still comes through with a bold flavor. It actually reminded me of Vietnamese egg coffee, but much lighter and more delicate. You still get that luscious, creamy texture without any eggy taste or aroma. Overall, they absolutely nailed it. The café itself is also incredibly cute with a cozy vibe that makes you want to linger a little longer. It is the perfect spot for a casual date, catching up with friends, or getting some work done with a good cup of coffee.

There was no wait on a Sunday afternoon, and they made the drinks fairly quick. We tried the Matcha Banana and Matcha Einspanner! The banana one had real chunks of banana which was very good and fresh topped with lots of banana cream. One thing I wanted to note is that the quality of banana cream was pretty heavy and sweet, too overpowering for the matcha. There was too much banana cream to so u end up finishing the matcha with much cream left. Compared to the matcha einspanner, it seems like they put less matcha in the banana one which was a bit disappointing. Matcha Einspanner on the other hand was pretty good and had a strong matcha taste which pair well with the light cream. The cafe is so spacious and has tons of tables! read more
I have been to this location several times and overall really like it! The coffee is sweet and smooth - just how i like it. I usually get the phin brown! It gets the job done! I have also tried the taro matcha (4/5) and the strawberry matcha (i dont typically like these). The inside is super cute and clean. Wifi is fast and i just love the vibe! New matcha place! So excited to have a new matcha place in sj, during their soft opening phase- they still have a lot of items available! I can't wait till their grand opening! Service is quick and efficient, they were true sweethearts. Ambiance is so warm and cozy, truly loving the vibes down all the way from the music choice in store. I got the banana matcha latte and the banana has a true banana flavor with no artificial taste and you can definitely taste a little bit of banana bits. (Extra points cause they had oat milk available!) Next drink Pandan milk tea- sooooo delicious! Refreshing and not overbearingly sweet. A must try if you're in the area! read more
I'm so glad there's now an Arisan in Sunnyvale! I went during the soft opening week and tried their Tie Guan Yin oolong milk tea, which includes tea jellies. The tea flavor was strong but the drink itself was a little on the sweet side, even with "less sugar". I love the taste and texture of the tea jellies, which reminds me of Torotea or Hechalou in SoCal. The cashier was very nice. Several people were crowded at the front, because the menus are posted only by the cashier. It might help to have menus or QR codes available throughout the store to prevent crowding during the grand opening. The store itself is spacious, modern, and clean, and has seating for small groups of 2-4. Now onto areas where I could see improvement. I struggle to identify the cafe, because they seems to specialize in matcha, but also offer milk teas, pastries, and Vietnamese desserts. I was hesitant to order the milk tea because it didn't seem like their specialty, and at $8+ for a drink, was a steep investment. Simplifying the menu, or highlighting specialties would help guide customers. As someone who prefers hot drinks, I was also disappointed that there are no hot drinks on the menu, and drinks without ice would appear to be less filled. Overall, I'm so happy to see a local chain succeeding and will definitely revisit! read more

Came midday on a weekday & the vibes were chill, laid back, and cozy. There's a row of cushioned bench seats along the wall that serves as a great study corner! Even have outlets all along & wifi posted on the wall. I had the taro matcha & matcha on matcha. The taro matcha definitely tastes like taro if that's what you're looking for. Personally, I felt like the taro overpowered the matcha itself. Enjoyable but probably wouldn't get it again. The matcha on matcha was solid. I was able to actually taste the matcha in this drink as compared to the taro matcha. Note: they only have whole milk & oat milk options. Their cream tops are a bit on the thicker side so it's hard to get a balanced sip of cream + matcha. I will say I appreciated how the cream top wasn't just a chunk/coagulated though and at least you could just stir to mix it in with the rest of the drink. The staff are also very friendly! One of my drinks was wayyy too sweet to be "less sweet" and they immediately offered to remake it. I will say they are in their soft opening right now and seem to still be training some new hires on how to make drinks, but they are very nice people & made my experience here feel welcoming. Would definitely come back to try more drinks! read more
I was so excited to see this opening up in my neighborhood! Sadly, they took a long time to make my drink despite being one of the very few customers (just 1 order ahead of mine). I waited about 15 minutes for one matcha and I can see that everything is pre made (matcha bottle and cold foam bottle) In terms of the drink itself, the banana was far too overpowering. About half of a banana is mashed into the bottom of the cup. I can appreciate the efforts and authenticity, but i think the formula needs a better ratio between banana:matcha flavor. The sweet corn cake was great- soft and spongy, with good corn flavor. read more
OMG YUM! Finally a good matcha spot in Sunnyvale that has banana bangers! Literally my favorite thing is a banana bottom and they took it a step further with the banana cream topper. Flavors are so fresh! The inside is so clean and cozy. Service was very friendly and quick! Also love that there is plenty of parking here! Can't wait to come again! read more

I love the Arisan in San Jose and was excited to see that they expanded to Sunnyvale! The pandan green milk tea here is one of my go-tos. I tried it at this location and the pandan taste wasn't super apparent, but still loved the floral creamy taste of the milk tea. I also like the free tea jelly that comes with all of the milk tea options. Would come back! read more

I first discovered Arisan at their Vietnam Town location, and I was so excited when they opened a Sunnyvale location that's much closer to me. My go-to order is the jasmine oolong milk tea with jasmine tea jelly. Even at 75% sweetness, the tea flavor really shines without tasting bitter, and the drink has a great balance of creaminess and sweetness. The jasmine tea jelly (which comes at no extra charge with this drink) adds a subtle floral sweetness that pairs perfectly with the milk tea. I also love their einspanner which is equally delicious. The cafe itself is beautiful, spacious, and has plenty of indoor seating along with a few outdoor tables. It's almost always busy with people studying, working, or catching up with friends, making it a cozy spot to spend an afternoon. My only complaint is that their online ordering system hasn't been very reliable since it can get busy. I've ordered ahead at least four times, and my drink has almost never been ready by the estimated pickup time. Overall, it's still one of my favorite boba spots in south bay. If you've been meaning to try it, they're also offering a BOGO promotion on 6/28 to celebrate their one-month anniversary! read more

My wife and I dropped by after a grocery run and wanted to try out of curiosity. We enjoyed the other one in San Jose, so we were wondering about the consistency between the two. This place recently opened and service was good since staff members were patient with our questions. We really enjoyed the Dong Ding (not ding dong) Oolong with jelly. Pretty solid drink. Ordered the woody black milk tea with added salted cheese regular sugar and their matcha and matcha 50% sugar which were both enjoyable, not too sweet, tea forward, and were both solid drinks that I wouldn't mind ordering again. You can definitely taste the black tea and matcha and it wasn't just sugar loaded. The matcha also powers through in the cream as well. I wanted to try their matcha choux, but since they're in their soft opening they didn't have any available the day I went so I opted for their tiramisu cake. It was ok--the overall cake was spongy, moist, creamy, not too sweet, you do taste a bit of coffee, but the cream overpowered. Best matcha in sunnyvale! I've been on a mission to find a decent strawberry matcha, and this place blows everywhere else out of the water. Usually, they're either way too sweet or taste like artificial syrup, but they absolutely nailed the balance here. The matcha is super high-quality and smooth. Can't wait to come back! read more

I went to Arisan twice in one week. I'm so glad they opened one so close to me! ESSJ was kinda far! I got the taro matcha and then the strawberry matcha einspanner. Both were pretty good. Parking was easy at the small plaza it's at. Service was fast too. I went around 2:45pm on a Weds. I liked the cream tops. The matcha itself was alright, not my most fave but not bad! The strawberry jam wasn't my fave but def the strawberry cream top was a winner. Great addition to Sunnyvale! The inside looked cute and clean. They give u a buzzer when u order. read more
Reviewing based on first impressions, parking was easy, walking in, the aesthetics weren't overwhelming, more lax vibes! The drink menu had a lot of options. We tried the sweet corn latte, phin truffle and the banana matcha. All were very good solid drinks but the banana matcha is the best by far! Most places you only taste the banana in the soft top this was mixed in the drink too. Def will come back! read more
Arisan just opened their 2nd location in Sunnyvale and are currently in its soft opening phase this month. Compared to their Vietnam Town location, I love how spacious and aesthetic their interiors are, it's definitely a great place to chill or study / work. I got my go-to drink, the Matcha on Matcha, and I love how strong the matcha is. The Strawberry Matcha Einspanner is also really delicious and has a nice balance of strawberry and matcha while keeping the matcha strong. Staff was friendly and helpful read more
