Onion rings

Good place. Still on hunt for great burger in TX. Ordered medium and it was overcooked. BIGZ still wins in terms of getting order right. It was flavorful however, with so many toppings, how can u tell? If u are looking for unique burger, its great, if you are just wanting a simple true burger- its ok. Onion rings frozen but still good.

We haven't been back to chunky's in several years. The oldest wanted it. So off we went after church service. I won't make this one terribly long since we didn't order a lot. I had the Monterrey, the midget had a regular cheeseburger, and the oldest minion had the Island burger. We had the chili cheese fries, and frings and frots(half onion rings/ half regular fries). I will start with the negatives this time to change it up. First, I don't like when you order and they say they are out of items. We love the bottle caps, part of the reason we came. Only to be told, "the truck hasn't come in yet?". Then I attempted to order the Tejas bbq burger to then be told they had no bbq for the burger?!?! What a start huh? The food...the chili cheese fries were by far the most disappointing part of the meal. The chili was, ummm, well not very good. As my oldest said, just a slight bit higher than canned. It just had an off flavor to me. Not very appetizing. Then the regular fries had no seasoning. No salt, no pepper, no nothing. Let's get on with what we liked. The burgers were all pretty good. I can't believe I'm saying this, but the buns they used for the burgers were spectacular! Wow. The meat was adequately seasoned and cooked. Very filling and great portion for the price. My Monterrey I felt had waaaay too much guac on it, but other than that it was very good. The guac kind of drowned out the other ingredients from bite to bite. The regular cheeseburger was good too. But my oldest minions island burger was delicious. Perfect balance of sweet and savory! Table fav!!!! The onion rings were also quite good! Is it the best burger joint in town, no, not even close. It's a quality burger, and worth the price. Maybe if they had what we originally wanted it would have been a higher score. Maybe not?

Came here to support the 4 horseman challenge. And wowsers, how could one prepare. Hubby and I had the Chunkys special and ate outside in the beautiful weather. Despite the sweat drops from fella eating the super hot burger. Burgers, fries, tots, fried mushrooms we cooked and season to perfection! Sitting outside, we ordered inside and had a seat. Food was delivered timely, and we got our own refills... bottom line service was great. Enjoyed watching the four Horsemen challenge. I mayyyy be next.

Burger was great! Cheeseburger with jalapenos (talk about spicy), bacon (just the right balance of crispy and limp), lettuce, and onions). So juicy and flavorful. The fries were highly disappointing. Absolutely no seasoning, not even salt. They didn't taste hot or fresh just like eating cardboard unfortunately. Would come back for the burgers but maybe see if they have other sides.

Burgers are huge! Juicy, cooked just right and everything in my burger was fresh and delicious! As soon as we walked in we were greeted at the door with a menu. Service was top notch. They have an outdoor area and indoor with music playing. A cool hangout place. Bike night last Thursday of the month for those motorcyclists. Plus Adam Richman from Man vs Food has visited and eaten here. Highly recommend it!!

So I actually visited the restaurant twice in one week because the jalapeño burger was so good I had to go back. Each time I will say the warm customer service and attention to my experience was top notch. I have to share that I killed a cockroach that was crawling up the side of the wall where I was sitting and then I gave it to the waitress to throw away. Besides that I would recommend highly

I always enjoy a good burger at this place, they are usually consistent with their burgers but this time my son & I both thought our burgers were very dry. Normally i would give them a solid four stars but today it was more like a weak three stars. This was not the norm, usually they are very juicy and delicious. They were not busy today... we had tots & fries in 5 minutes and burgers in ten minutes. I don't know how they made the burgers so fast if they were so WELL DONE.... Maybe they were precooked I dunno... but they were DRY! Staff is always very friendly and the restaurant is always clean and organized. I really enjoy that they have so many varieties of burgers. Also they have good tots, fries and onion rings.

Service was wonderful! I went on a Sunday just before Church crowd. Waitress went out of her way to get my order in first. Onion rings are nothing special. Burger was hot and quite good.

This place is on fire. Leaps and bounds over the "new" Chris Madrid's This is my new go to burger joint. Friendly staff. Fast service. Great food. 3rd time here in less than a month.

Burgers were great. But we got cold fries and cold onion rings..

Don't microwave cold food. Food was probably cold because it was sitting out for there a while. You all need to coordinate to serve everyone the best food you have the reputation for.

Our first visit to Outlaw Kitchen absolutely lived up to the hype--and then some. The experience as…read morea whole was fantastic: warm, attentive service, a beautifully restored house, and food that invites you to slow down and enjoy every bite. We started with the beet and dill salmon on crostini, which was such a fun and memorable dish. Piling everything on yourself made it interactive, almost playful, and you could make each bite as beautiful as you wanted. The flavors were bright, fresh, and perfectly balanced. We ordered all of the entrées--choucroute, hanger steak, and sweet pea risotto--and every single one was delicious. That said, the risotto completely stole the show for me. Creamy and rich without being heavy, it was packed with mushrooms, sweet peas, and delicate pea shoots. The salty, umami depth from the cheese paired beautifully with little bursts of sweetness from the peas--it was honestly exceptional. Outlaw Kitchen is the kind of place where everything works together: the food, the service, and the space. It feels intentional, personal, and special without ever being pretentious. We were blown away on our first visit and can't wait to come back.

Everything was well timed, except when we were trying to get the check. All the staff seemed to be kind and professional. The patio is lovely, but I imagine it can be uncomfortable in the summer heat. Now for the food. Overall it was good. I found some components spectacular, but felt like some lacked seasoning. I was looking forward to the arancini the most. The croquet itself was crunchy and that cheese was definitely telefono style, but needed some seasoning. The pomodoro was tasty, but the basil made it fabulous. Y'all know how I feel about basil. The ravioli was filled with spinach, mushroom, and ricotta with a brown butter sage sauce. It was delicious and the portion was perfect. My favorite part though was the crunchy shitaki "bacon"and butternut squash. I would take a bowl of that in a heartbeat and would absolutely go back for a butternut squash main dish. It was perfectly roasted and full of flavor and those shitaki were amazing. The preserved lemon vinaigrette over lettuces was phenomenal. Incredible fresh flavor. Desert was chocolate torte and sour cream ice cream. The ice cream was the absolute star of the show. The sweet vanilla was incredible. I sampled the halibut and shrimp and it was perfectly cooked. I would definitely come back to try other offerings.

Overall: 4.6/5 [dine in]…read more Phenomenal service from start to finish. They were able to seat us on the patio as a walk in on a Saturday night, checked in to offer us a spot by the fireplace when it opened up, kept our water filled throughout the night, and even asked how we wanted our food served. Little touches like that really make a difference. They also brought out complimentary ciabatta bread when we were first seated and then without us asking, brought a fresh batch after our appetizer. The second round was better, with a nice crispy edge that made that satisfying crunch when you squeezed it. Really good with the butter, though if the butter had been just a little saltier it would have been perfect. Beef Carpaccio ($32): Good but average. The individual components were all there but the dish felt like it was missing cohesion. The black sesame parmesan tuiles were a standout though. Georges Bank Seared Sea Scallop ($49): Three huge scallops cooked phenomenally. The mushroom risotto was a bit al dente and on the saltier side, and the mushroom flavor didn't come through as much as I would have liked. The squid ink beurre blanc was lovely though and really brought the dish together. Despite the risotto I would still order this again just for those scallops. Duck and Foie Gras ($46): The duck was cooked beautifully and the foie gras wasn't too heavy, just the right amount. I loved the strawberry arugula salad that came with it. The pairing worked really well overall. I personally didn't think butternut squash was the right puree choice but my husband disagreed and absolutely loved this dish. Foucher Sancerre Rosé ($15 glass): I am usually not a fan of rosé because of how dry they tend to be, but this one was not bad. It tasted much better when paired with food. August Riesling ($12 glass): A yummy, sweet drink that is refreshing and easy to drink. I had to pace myself or I would have finished it before the main courses even came out.

We completely loved Marcy and her expertise with the menu and the service! The ambiance was amazing too. It was chill and the low lights with the table lamps made it feel great! Here is my rating on each meal: Short Ribs: 4/5 - the sour cream like sauce on the ribs was too much. Duck: 4/5 - we removed the duck liver and everything was so good including the salad & butternut squash. Butter cake: 5/5 - we removed the ice cream here and enjoyed the sauce.

Tucked into the rhythm of an ordinary evening, this restaurant manages to feel like a discovery you…read morealmost want to keep to yourself. On our second date night here, that sense of quiet magic hadn't faded, it had deepened. The best seat in the house isn't tucked away in a corner or draped in linen, it's the countertop. From there, the kitchen reveals itself in full, an intimate, unscripted performance. We spent the evening watching George at work, composed, exacting, and quietly brilliant, plating each dish with the kind of confidence that only comes from mastery. The meal itself unfolds like a carefully written story, each course building on the last. A white mushroom salad opens the evening with understated elegance, earthy, delicate, and impossibly fresh. Then comes the country fried quail, crisp and indulgent, yet refined enough to avoid feeling heavy. The Spanish octopus a la plancha is a standout in its own right, perfectly tender with a delicate char that adds depth and richness to each bite. The Napa cabbage arrives almost playfully, topped with bonito flakes that are still gently moving from the heat, a dish that's as mesmerizing as it is delicious, balancing smoke, salt, and subtle sweetness. It's a moment that pulls you fully into the experience. The heritage chicken is deeply comforting yet elevated, cooked to a tenderness that feels effortless. And then, the standout, the Sitka wild king salmon. Perfectly executed, it flakes at the slightest touch, rich and buttery without losing its clean, natural flavor. It's the kind of dish that lingers in your memory long after the plate is cleared, the best salmon I've ever had, without question. And just when you think the evening has peaked, the $10,000 carrot cake arrives, a whimsical name for a dessert that somehow lives up to the hype. Decadent, balanced, and unforgettable, it closes the meal on a high note that feels both indulgent and deserved. What elevates the experience even further is the thoughtfulness of the staff. They effortlessly accommodated a low carb approach for my husband, who is diabetic, without sacrificing creativity or flavor. It never felt like a limitation, only a seamless extension of the menu. Throughout it all, the team moves in seamless harmony, attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. There's no pretense here, just an unwavering commitment to excellence. This isn't just dinner, it's an experience. And after two visits, it's clear, this place isn't just consistent, it's exceptional.

We recently dined at Clementine and had a really memorable experience overall…read more We opted for the "Feed Me" experience, and every dish that came out was delicious. The mushrooms were especially delightful, featuring raw mushrooms sliced thin and topped with freshly grated cheese, which was incredibly flavorful. The eggplant pasta was probably my favorite of the night with lamb hidden within the big pearls of couscous. Our server, Bianca, was phenomenal--warm, attentive, and knowledgeable. She added thoughtful tidbits about the menu and checked in often without being overbearing. She intuited that we were celebrating my birthday and surprised me with a card signed by the team, which was such a lovely moment of unreasonable hospitality. Everything went smoothly until just after dessert. As we were finishing up, my friends gave me birthday gifts, and I was opening them when we were presented with small brownies and asked by another staff member to move to the patio. We completely understood the need to turn the table, especially during a busy service. However, it was a cold day, and while we were told we'd be seated by a heater, we ended up in a corner where the heater wasn't on. We were given blankets, but it continued to get colder. After waiting a bit, I flagged down another server who was able to turn the heater on right away, which helped, this part of the experience felt abrupt and we also felt kinda forgotten. We finished our wine and conversation on the patio, and while it became more comfortable once the heater was on, the transition felt a bit rushed and could have been handled more smoothly. Overall, the food and service--especially from Bianca--were excellent, and the birthday touches were truly appreciated.

Earlier in the day I took a walk through the King William neighborhood and stumbled on this beautiful old house with an inviting vibe. We were so glad we came back for dinner. We were a group of five with a reservation and from start to finish the experience was excellent. Our server, Raymond, was personable, friendly, and genuinely great at his job. He gave thoughtful recommendations and made the evening feel relaxed and welcoming. We started by sharing several dishes, all of which were spot on: Pears and Greens salad with lardons, frisée, arugula, radicchio, endive, Danish blue, and bacon vin - $16. Fresh, balanced, and perfect for sharing. Crispy Brussels Sprouts with maple, herbs, pecans, and cotija - $10. Crispy, flavorful, and addictive. Mac and Cheese - $12. Rich, comforting, and well executed. For mains, Raymond steered us in all the right directions: Mustard Glazed Faroe Island Salmon with warm fingerling potatoes, parsnips, mushrooms, frisée, and herb oil - $30. Beautifully cooked and flavorful. Tomatillo Shrimp with grilled Gulf shrimp, white cheddar grit cake, and tomatillo butter - $28. Bold and delicious. Loretta Burger with crispy prosciutto, manchego, arugula, tomato, grilled red onion, and smash sauce on a brioche bun. Choice of fries or tots - $18 (some had tots, and one had fries - tasty). Absolutely nailed it. Queso Fundido Burger with fried chorizo-queso blanco, charred poblano, and cactus salsa verde. Choice of fries or tots - $20. Indulgent in the best way. My dining companions enjoyed a variety of wonderfully prepared cocktails while I stuck with a Topo Chico. I still felt right at home. Overall, Bar Loretta felt like a world away from the tourist-heavy spots along the River Walk. Dining out has gotten so expensive lately and too often the food or service does not justify the price.
