I was not disappointed. I ordered a bacon mushroom burger with tots, because yes - tots! It was perfectly cooked. The meat had a little pink, which I prefer. If the meat is grey or dry. No thank you. But, this was juicy & perfect. I was able to eat half & for me that's a lot. So, I was thrilled. It's a good size burger. The tots were cooked perfectly as well, not over done or soggy. Over all a good burger . I'll be back. Glad they're close to my new home. I found a good burger joint. Yay! Located on the south end of San Antonio a small inviting hamburger joint. Walked in was greeted by one of the main guys with a smile was simple easy to read and great pricing.. drinks are in a can with the exception of the sweet tea that is the only refills. I cane in right before lunch time with plenty of seating. Burger is hot big lots of flavor. I go wrong.. small fry was enough for the craving served. There are tons of burger joints in town and everyone has their favorite. I've been wanting to find a local staple in my side and finally went to Kenny's Burgers. It has ruined all other burgers in the area for me! Small, locally owned place that simple and clean. The menu is straight forward and the pricing is most certainly going to keep customers for life. I got a double cheeseburger meal with chili cheese tots, wife got a single with sweet potato fries. Drinks included and even with the tots I walked out at $25 for us both. I'll easily pay that again. My double burger was just solid. Jalapeños and bacon added to it topped it off nicely. Its just delicious though. The tots were that nostalgic awesomeness of fine ground chili and melty cheese covering the top like a melty blanket. I will 100% come here over Burger Boy, Whataburger, any burger in the area honestly. I'll be back, and with friends, and more often than not. So damn good!! Overall it's pretty good. The burger was great, it was juicy and I normally don't like pickles on a burger but this tasted amazing. It was juicy. It was authentic. The fries were really good starting off, they were hot with plenty of chili cheese on it, but towards the bottom the chili kinda tasted bitter, I couldn't finish it sadly. Overall the price is really fair, the burger was pretty big with a good amount on it, and there was a good portion of fries as well (with chili and cheese) Bathrooms were really clean. High ratings on Yelp got me out here on Goliad Rd to find out what all the buzz is about. Sometimes with high ratings my expectations are too high. First thing, this place is rinky dink even janky but it is clean and dignified. Can't hold anything against modest means that still values cleanliness and respect for customers. As a rule I do not like places that serve cans and not soda from a self-serve fountain because I drink alot of soda and like multiple refills. Only plus was the soda can was ice cold. They only had sweet tea that is all you can drink. And they have the ketchup, mayo, and mustard in the common area where you serve yourself. I do not like that they have off brand ketchup. Also, not sure it is safe to leave mayo out at room temperature. I got the double with cheese, and a side of fries. The bun was larger than the patties. They serve steak fries which is a plus because I love steak fries. Overall, it is a good burger place but would not likely return unless I am in the area or have a craving for yummy steak fries. read more

A few days ago I went to Whataburger for a burger and was strongly disappointed. Unusual since I always expect and get consistency in terms of good food and good service at every location. Turns out the burger I ordered didn't have enough mustard and lettuce in it, had too many tomato slices and get this, I ordered jalapenos on my burger and there was only ONE LOUSY JALAPENO! Major disappointment when you consider how much Whataburger likes to hustle you an extra $0.69 cents for them. Enter Kenny's Burgers on Goliad. I walked in and ordered a burger/fries combo with jalapenos and a sweet tea at the front window. Guns n Roses' Welcome to the Jungle song was blasting on the classic rock radio station and the big plasma screen TV was airing the Winter Olympics. Badass classic rock tunes on the radio......check! My number was called and I immediately got my steaming hot burger and fries basket and brought it to my table. The thick cut steak fries are kinda reminiscent of what Bill Miller's fries used to be but much better and they were freaking hot as soon as I bit into them. Hot and thick cut steak fries............check! The sweet tea has plenty of sugar that can prolly give you diabetes if you dare guzzle but it's addictive and after having one sip I guaran-damn-tee you will never look at Bill Miller's sweet tea the same way ever again! Awesome and delicious sweet tea..............check! Finally, last but not least, le piece de resistance, my awesome and wicked badass burger, covered with a generous serving of jalapenos unlike cheapass Whataburger and all the fixings like pickles, lettuce and tomatoes on the side so I can put them on myself. And once you bite into the burger , forget about it, you're hooked instantly! Addictive burgers with toasted buns and hot and juicy patty.......check! Need anymore reasons to go? Yeah well I don't have anymore since they don't serve shakes like Whataburger or Floyd's up the street and no there's no 5 burgers for the price of $3 special at Kenny's like at Floyd's. PROBABLY THE BEST BURGER IN SAN ANTONIO. A single burger itself is already 1/3 pound! And I got a double!! Loved it! Fantastic taste overall. Being a mayonnaise addict, it was heaven to have on hand a huge mayonnaise dispenser. There's also red onion slices for consumption and replenishment. Onion rings were also amazing. Been here twice now and both times had an awesome experience. The burgers are some of the best I've ever had in San Antonio. The meat is of superb quality and they let you add just about anything you want on it. This time around I did 2x bacon, grilled onions, cheese and I requested egg whites which they did no problems (I sincerely appreciate that btw). The fries were fresh and they had some creole seasoning on the table we sat at - if you get fries, track this stuff down and apply -- you'll thank me later. The only two suggestions I had for improvement is that they should consider an actual fountain drink machine (either countertop or freestyle). Or at least entertain the cost difference between cans and that (from a consumer standpoint most restaurants serve 32 oz drinks so that means you'll need to buy two which almost $3). And secondly, they need a new POS system. The existing one takes forever. I'd suggest Square Stand + Cellular iPad and you wouldn't even have to worry about going thru a phone line and the ringing in/checking out process would be greatly sped up since you wouldn't have to hand write orders down either. read more

Good luck finding this place open. Seems like because it's family owned, they close at whatever time they feel like. This is our 5th time trying to come here within the "business hours" and it's always closed.
