Visited Churchill St. for breakfast on a Saturday morning. It's a cute bright spot. We sat up at the bar because the table we were originally sitting at was really close to another table, felt like we really didn't have much space and privacy. It's order at the counter unless you sit up at the bar then they'll take your order. We got two specialty coffees and monkey bread to share. For entrees: CROQUE MADAME and the breakfast sandwich, both with hash-browns. Food was good. Service was good as well. It was a great start to Saturday mining and I'd definitely come back. Something to note, there is a small parking lot, otherwise, it's street parking.

Loved my experience at Churchill Street! To start, they have a parking lot which is always nice, however if it overfills there are plenty of spots to park on the street. There were plenty of seating spots inside and outside as well and very spacious! I ordered a latte with lavender (my favorite) and it was so good and very speedy! The eggs Benedict was also great and came out timely. The servers were all helpful and kind. I really enjoyed my brunch there and will be back for more delicious food!

This is a great breakfast spot. The food was good and we had a great time. We didn't felt rushed. The restaurant and bathrooms were very clean.

My husband has been here before for work but it was my first time. It was very busy on a Friday afternoon. We were seated quickly since there were only 2 of us. We looked over our menus and went up to the register to order. It wasn't too noisy even though there were lots of people. Our food was pretty quick to come out. I really enjoyed my broccoli hummus sandwich. My husband liked his eggs Benedict and we both had salad on the side. This is a really nice place with an open sunny feel. We didn't have as much interaction with the staff as there is with some restaurants but everyone was courteous and pleasant.

Great food and ambiance, bring your wallet. The Shoreview area has limited restaurant options other than bar food and a few chain restaurants. Sunday mornings are even more limited . So I was happy to see that Churchill Street was open on Sunday and offered breakfast and coffee in the a.m. I had the avocado toast. The server described it as "both delicious AND beautiful ". She wasn't wrong. My wife had a more traditional breakfast of eggs over easy with bacon, toast and hash browns. Tasty as they were, the triangular hash browns were obviously a prefabbed, frozen variety that was quickly fried and served along side the eggs. They were hot and tasted good, but not much different than what you'd get at McDonalds or out of your freezer at home. Considering how original and creative the avocado toast was I was surprised that they weren't a little better. My only gripe are the prices and the automatic service charge that's not a service charge. You order at the counter, grab your own water, refill your own coffee and are charged 18% before you even get to your table. Other than delivering the food, we never interacted with a server at our table. I get that people need to get paid but a service charge that's the same as a full service restaurant seems a bit steep. Anyway, paying a little extra for good food at a nice place served by people that get out of bed so I can enjoy my Sunday morning is just part of the deal. I am sure we'll be back.

Food and coffee was amazing! Vibe was really good for a meet up with a friend or a coffee date! It is a self order system but the staff was still walking around and cleaning tables! Very kind workers!

The chicken sandwich I had was really good! Juicy and seasoned and the pickles complimented it. We stopped in Saturday for lunch and we found seating quickly, we didn't have to wait too long for our order and the customer service was pretty good. There is also a parking lot out front of the restaurant which is easily accessible.

First time at Churchill Street for brunch- went around noon on a Saturday and we were able to get seated as soon as we got there. Very cute and cozy space with tall ceiling and lots of plants. It's a counter style restaurant so they seat you then you order at the counter and then they bring your order out to you. The foccacia was warm and served with a delicious tomato sauce. The breakfast burrito was toasted and crispy on the outside and was very tasty. The croque madame was very good and the egg on top was cooked perfectly. Great spot for a weekend brunch!

Lovely cozy restaurant we visited after touring the Cafesjian Art Trust museum right next door. The four of us were seating in a nice high backed booth. You order at the counter or online with a QR code and food and drink are brought to your table. I wanted a very light dinner and chose the broccoli Parmesan soup which was good. The Sauvignon Blanc to go with it was even better. Loved the decor and everyone working there was so nice. Great experience.

HIDDEN TWIN CITIES BRUNCH GEM!! I stumbled upon Churchill St. looking for a last minute brunch place in the northern suburbs. The ambiance is worthy of any social media post. We chose to say at the bar and had wonderful service. The menu has amazing options, but not too many that it feels overwhelming. I opted for the breakfast sandwich, which is probably the best things I've had since moving here! Partner went with the breakfast burrito and had only positive things to say. Pricing is on par with other upscale brunch places. I will definitely be back to try a brunch cocktail - they looked amazing as well got to see them be made right in front of us. I would recommend coming earlier than later, as it filled up QUICKLY! Perfect brunch in every aspect.

I had the steak frites, and a beer. It was really good. I also tried the risotto which was also pretty good. I'd go back here.

We came for an anniversary dinner and chose to be seated at the bar that overlooked the kitchen. I know I've said before, but I love this look into the kitchen, watching everything being cooked, seeing all the orders, it's just so fun. We started with cocktails and the Silesian dumplings. Both were excellent. Hubs got the duck two ways and I got the duck burger for our meals. I told him we couldn't go to a place that specializes in duck and not get duck. Both dishes were perfect. The duck confit sauce was delicious and the burger was out of this world. We couldn't turn down a couple of paczeks for dessert too. Service was great and sitting next to the kitchen, got to talk to some of the cooks as well. Overall, great experience at Black Duck.

The exterior is a little unassuming with the patio kind of looks like a family style restaurant but inside it's upscale dark and gold modern chic. THE FOOD Pierogis - 5/5 so pillowy Doused in a butter sauce, delicious potato goodness. A little steep for $19 for 4 pieces, but definitely a highlight of the night. Silesian pierogis - 5/5 the Parmesan leek sauce was a great compliment to the almost mochi, textured potato dumplings. Definitely different than the normal pierogies, but in my opinion, the sauce really stood out for this dish and was well balanced with the pickled cabbage. Pork dish 4/5 - the pork was cooked PERFECTLY, nice char on the outside with a juicy inside, not dry by any means. The sauerkraut plus the mustard sauce was a perfect bite. However, I do feel the mustard sauce is quite overpowering at times so if you don't like mustard do not get this. It does look like a large portion, but I did eat all of it with a little bit of help. I do wish there was some sort of starch on the plate, but better portioning the most pork chops restaurants that I have had. Flat iron steak 3/5 - I was most looking forward to this one after seeing it on Instagram however, the dish somewhat fell short for $40. The steak was cooked beautifully, and the potato pavee was exciting since this is quite rare where to find in the Twin Cities restaurant scene. There was not much sauce on this dish. The small bit of sauce provided, being quite buttery and did not add much to the flavor. The potato pavees were very crispy and a nice inside texture but for me a little bit oversalted, but there was just nowhere to go in the dish for sauce/punchy flavor. I wish there was an aioli/chimichurri to go with the potato pavee and some other type of seasoning like a Mexican seasoning on the potatoes. It's seems the entrees were not very vegetable forward however I feel like for $40 the pork and the steak could have used maybe a few pieces of brussels sprouts or asparagus to balance out their richness. Overall, a very lovely experience. I feel like anything on their menu is worth a try. The waitress mentioned that they do have rotating seasonal items. You won't be disappointed!

Sometimes you look at a drink menu and are intrigued but a bunch of options, this place was the opposite, not one drink looked good. All of the options are very masculine in nature: vermouth, bitters, etc.. you would think there would be something with like vodka or tequila and some fruit but nope. There was one drink that almost fit that profile but they threw in pink peppercorn and I was told that under no circumstance would they alter the ingredients... makes me think the bartender is either incapable or a complete jerk. In any case, bad customer service. I came here with 3 others and no one liked their drinks.
