Each time that I've come here recently , the service has been improved. Fresh hot chicken and decent service. I mainly just utilize the drive thru, which can be slow sometimes. I recently tried their spicy chicken since no other white meat options were available. I found the spicy recipe to be a bit dry and not very delicious as the regular recipe. Came here on a Friday night and of course it was busy. I opted to go inside since the drive-thru was long. Although it was a few people inside ordering, the wait was even longer. I ordered 3 piece mixed with mashed potatoes, a larger okra and a pepper. My order was finally called and he forgot my large okra. Glad I hadn't left yet. When I got home I did realize they forgot my pepper. I was a bit disappointed. They chicken was just on. The wing was very small. The chicken was cold. The mashed potatoes were good. The okra could've been fried a little harder. I was told by another Yelper to try the Tarrant location. I definitely do that when I'm craving Church's. read more

Church's Chicken used to be my dad's favorite restaurant. Whenever he sees one, he has to pull over and get their chicken even if that means eating their chicken multiple times a day. We saw one earlier this week when we were shopping in Center Point. We went through the drive-thru. Although there were many cars in line, we were able to place our order, pay, and get our food pretty quickly. They have a new special going on called 3 pieces for $3. We got two thighs and a drumstick in that box. The workers were very friendly and attentive. The chicken however was rather cold so not as enjoyable even though we ate our food as soon as we got it. read more

Church's Chicken isn't my go to places for fried chicken, but I had a two can dine coupon for only $6 dollars which you can't beat any deals like that since you get five pieces of chicken, two sides items and two biscuits for $6 dollars plus tax. Majority of the time, this restaurant is always crowded and the drive thru takes forever to get through. Luckily, it wasn't crowded during the time I've came here. The ordering process was simple and most times, they'll ask for the code on the coupon, but they might have discontinued that process. Once I got to the window, I wasn't greeted by the cashier and would it kill them to say thank you ever now and then. I mentioned that I don't eat there chicken often, but the reason why is because it's so much grease on the chicken on which I don't see how people eat this as often as they should . read more

I have ordered at least six times from Church's, mostly thru DoorDash. Only two orders were correct. I went through the drive thru last week and both the service and food were awful. I had ordered the three piece meal, all white meat with slaw and mashed potatoes for the sides and a coke for the drink. When I got to the window and paid, something told me to verify the order. Not only was it all dark meat, they also refused the second side. The employee flat out lied to the manager, telling her I had ordered dark meat. She then demanded more money, which I understood and paid, but it was not my fault. When I got home, they had given me two tiny, dried up wings and what looked like 1/2 a breast that had been sitting for hours. All of the chicken was so dried up and hard, I couldn't eat it. The one side they gave me was only half full. To their credit, I did order again yesterday through DoorDash, just to see if there was any improvement. This time the order was perfect. I received cold grease tasting okra, three cold chicken legs and three very hard as brick biscuits. To nasty to try and eat. Was happy to have Church back. Try calling every number to this place no answer. I believe it was better this time around. For me will not participate again will take the money loss. Not able to bring back. This is the only church's close to my house so I have tried it several times. The staff is nice but the service is always very slow. I have waited in line for almost an hour at times. 9/10 my order is not correct. Overall do not recommend. read more

churches chicken in centerpoint Al is the worst. extremely poor customer service. most of the cashiers and managers are rude. after sitting in the drive through for almost 10 minutes i get to the window to only be told that there was no dark meat ready and it would be a 12 minute wait i then asked the cashier if we could get the white for the same price as the dark and the manager rudely yelled out "we don't have nothing to give nobody" as if we were begging for free food when all we wanted was fast friendly food service and to not wait an additional 12 minutes . read more

Yesterday I purchased the new smokehouse half chicken from Church's on Parkway Drive. It was awful. The tiny chicken ( I have no problem with the size) was super dry and hard. It tasted old as if it had been sitting out for days. I could not determine how it was supposed to taste. I did not open the box until I got home; otherwise I would have returned it.
