I dropped the car off the day before, the owner gave me his truck as a loaner. Was expecting 2-3 days service. To my surprise replacement the clutch and dual mass flywheel took 1 day. The owner also saved me a significant amount on replacing control arms, CV boots and engine/transmission mounts - all of which I knew needed replacing. The control arms had seem some wear/tear over the years - particularly since they had been exposed to salt roads up north. It was worth the 2 1/2 week to get a repair done the correct way, honestly and without up charging. I will definitely skip the dealerships moving forward! Side Note: Initially I brought the vehicle to Sanders Automotive before I knew of Automotive Solutions. At Sanders Auto (my "old friend" there previously from Chapel Hill Tire, took my car in. Since I know just enough about vehicles to diagnose it I feel fairly confident when I bring it into the mechanic. When I saw "B" I knew it was going to get interesting and sure enough it did. I was told that the vibration went away if I hold the steering wheel (LOL) and that the only thing wrong was the CV Boot had ripped. They definitely missed the engine/tranmission mounts as well as the failed control arm. But its a blessing in disguise as it lead me to Automotive Solutions :)

Shorten Review - Character limits I previously trusted GB Battery for hybrid vehicle batteries, but my experience has changed my opinion. I bought a lifetime warranty for my 2012 Toyota Prius on December 22, 2020. Initially, the service was prompt; they quickly confirmed my battery failure and sent a technician. However, after my battery failed again on May 12, 23, my experience took a turn for the worse. When I reached out on June 9, 25, I spent hours waiting for a representative. If you're still waiting when 5 PM EST arrives, your call goes to voicemail. When I finally spoke with someone, they were unhelpful. My claim was approved on June 11, 2025, and I was told it would take 10 to 15 working days to schedule service. I found contact information through Google reviews, but both the email and scheduling departments passed the blame. The scheduling department claimed they were waiting for a shipment, yet neither department provided an estimated arrival time for it. Now, 15 working days later, I am extremely frustrated. I feel helpless and urgently need my car back, relying on friends for rides and rideshares in the meantime. I hope this review helps others decide whether to choose GB Battery. --- Timeline --- 6/9/25 I emailed GB to start warranty claim. 6/10/25 Called, waited for about an hour and spoke with Matthew. I sent additional pictures and got email same day with approval. "Thank you for taking the time to get all the relevant information over to us, your warranty claim has been approved. Next the inventory team will arrange for the battery to be shipped out to your local installer... This process can take estimated 10-15 working days... " 6/27/25 I emailed Matthew and CC: GB for an update. "Now that the warranty has been approved, the scheduling department will be the appropriate team to reach out to." I texted GB Scheduling "Hello we are just waiting on a shipment to arrive and then we can get you scheduled" 7/3/25 I texted GB Scheduling "Hi Ace!!, I hope you're doing well. I wanted to sincerely apologize .... We truly appreciate your patience ... quickly as possible." 7/9/25 I asked for update "we are still waiting on a shipment to arrive for your install" 7/16/25 I asked for update "Hello Ace We want to inform you that we are currently experiencing delays in fulfilling orders for Gen 2 and Gen 3 Toyota Prius batteries. This is due to a nationwide shortage of battery cores, largely driven by the age of these vehicles. This shortage has also impacted our reconditioning process.... comes in stock so I can get you scheduled asap." 7/17/25 Text message from GB "We wanted to inform you that, to expedite the process, we will be shipping the battery directly to you instead of waiting for delivery to the installer..." 7/22/25 From GB "I checked with inventory, it is being prepared to ship now" Later that day, I received an email from LKQCorp with the UPS Tracking Number. Estimated Delivery 7/28/25. 7/28/25 The battery was delivered by UPS. I texted GB Scheduling and received a confirmation for the appointment on Friday, 8/1/2025, at 10 a.m. 8/1/25 The installer called me 50 minutes before our appointment to confirm and took about an hour to complete the installation. He did a great job. I was surprised that after finishing the installation, he repackaged the battery into its original packaging and provided me with instructions on how to return the large battery that was now in my garage. I followed the instructions and called UPS to schedule a pickup, but their automated system asked me for a payment of $15. I then called my local UPS store to confirm my tracking number, which was provided to me as prepaid. Once I verified it, I dropped off the battery at the UPS store. It was a bit of a hassle, but I wanted to get it out of my garage.

Put 1400$ into the car only to be left stranded 500 miles away needing a whole new engine. They then ghosted me, will not respond to call, text, or email. Their cars come with a warranty that will do everything it can to weasel out of covering anything. Do not trust these people. I did, and I'm now looking at 15,000$ into a 6,000$ car. Like a previous reviewer here, I too left here thinking highly of Ala Mustafa's culture in the sale, contrary to the bad name some give them. Turns out he was not a shining example after all, just a good salesman.

With a limited time & budget I shopped endlessly for a reliable car that could sustain my family constantly on the go. On 8/ 3/2022 I meet Ala Mustafa from AutoBro Center ( 180 Stanford Road, Pittsburgh NC) with a 2012 Chevrolet Traverse LS SUV for sale within my budget. I paid Ala Mustafa $6800 cash with assurance of reliability and up kept maintenance of the vehicle. Having limited knowledge of cars, he made it clear that he's an Auto shop and anything wrong with the vehicle has been addressed before the sale. He LIED! It's barely been a full month and already I've been dangerously stranded twice with my children in tow on the side of the road. I've spent over 700 dollars thus far for repairs he claimed where addressed already. The alternator had to be replaced as well as the battery. The car is running hot and shuts off in the middle of driving. I was so excited to learn Ala Mustafa is a Muslim man of similar faith, this gave me more comfort in feeling he feared God and wouldn't sell me a lemon. He even said because I too was muslim, "he would handle any issues that should arise, but there shouldn't be any." To my disappointment, this was a sellers tactic. I have be in consistent contact with him, making him aware of the new expenses I can afford to pay but had to out if necessity, including my insurance, having to sponsor a tow truck. I'm totally speechless over this entire encounter. I need him to either switch my car to one better or issue me a full refund of what I paid to go elsewhere. The better Business Bureau and every social media platform I can fathom, Civil court will be made aware of his company's terrible business practice, if this isn't resolved soon. This car needs to be replaced immediately. I have children to care for as a single mom, and can't do so without dependable transportation. I need someone to contact me ASAP with a day to swap this lemon. I don't have 6800 dollars to throw away!
