This is by far the dirtiest restaurant I have visited in Fort Worth! While the staff was polite,the restaurant was disgusting. I went early on a weekend so it wasn't even late in day or night. Love the chips and salsa. The chips are light, fresh and crispy. The salsa is more like a pico de gallo. Easy to sit and eat that all afternoon. I ordered the nachos. Certainly good. Plenty of food. I ordered the the bean and cheese with guacamole and pico de gallo. The guacamole looked good and tasted okay...the avocados were a bit under ripe so this batch was not the best. Chuy's refried beans are good, but I'm not crazy about the added seasoning. (that's just me). The service and atmosphere were perfect. Very high quality, fun place. read more

Had to give at one star for tonight, waiter was attentive, but it took over 20mins to get our food and was cold. Usually you cant touch the plates for being hot from the oven, waiter offered to reheat. But the nachos were already cold and had that bitter taste from cold canola oil. I ended up at this spot with an old friend who just absolutely loves this place. She tells me she frequents it for the super cheap Happy Hour everyday. So after working a grueling day at work, I scooped her up and we were on our way to Chuys on West 7th. First off, it kind of sucks that the restaurant is in that location right now, with the whole West 7th bridge being down and all. I had to drive around and finally made it through! Any who, as soon as we walked in we were promptly seated, and then tended to by a really friendly server.We were there for the free nachos and & margaritas since it was happy hour, and boy oh boy, everything about the margarita was delicious! I chose the Strawberry Margarita that was , I'm not kidding you, the BEST I have ever tasted. And they have the free chips & pico,cheese/meat mix to boot. I loved ALL of them! I wasn't really into the menu just because everything on the menu seemed like it would fill me up way too much. I ended up ordering the very warm and tasty Tortilla Soup. The small size was ideal for me! What really got me was the amazing tortilla that came with it, wrapped in foil. I think it was probably made there the way it still had that floury taste to it, that you can only really find in few other locations. it reminded me of the amazing out the oven tortillas served at a Mexican Supermarket in the North side of Fort Worth. I got so caught up in the food, and the talks that I failed to really check out all of the spot, but from what I saw, it was really artsy , the room we were seated in had what looked like car hubcaps decorating every inch of the ceiling. Great restaurant. Think I have been to another location. This one seemed different. Maybe the upstairs made it special, except for the ladies that had to go down stairs to powder their noses. That gave the guys extra time to take down those chips and dips. Speaking of dips, the jalapeño ranch (I think they call it crack) is addictive. I am a Chili Relleno freak - almost every TexMex I visit, I try the Relleno. This was a little different. Two slender peppers stuffed then rolled in corn meal. Fried to a very crisp shell. Then covered I your choice of sauce. We were with a group of 12, I think everyone had a great time and enjoyed their food. The staff was excellent, food come out timely. Don't know where to begin with this place! Walking in from the start was horrible and the host was very rude!!! The only part I liked about the food was the chips and queso. Maybe the drinks. Our server took 20 minuets to ask us what kind of drinks we wanted and by that time we had already known what we wanted to eat. Food came out cold and was nothing like I expected it to be! Tasty Mexican food restaurant that's got a fun and busy happening atmosphere. I would say that the food is decently priced, and perhaps the main attraction of this restaurant is its great location on West 7th right next to Trinity Trails; thus, if you're looking to incorporate a stroll or some biking before your meal, it's hard to beat Chuy's. My husband and I went here today for the first time and I love the jalapeno ranch salsa it is so good I couldn't stop eating it. I ordered the chick boom boom enchiladas they were okay nothing special and my husband ordered the Chuy special enchiladas and he said it was okay. Food was the usually tex-mex taste. I love Chuy's, but this was my first time at this location. The wait was 25 min on a Sunday night. Great Bar Area and loved the decorations at this location. They all look similar but different at the same time. This location has an upstairs and downstairs, we ate upstairs. Chuy's is just good TX-Mex with a ton of flavor. Yelp needs to update to allow half stars. This one probably deserves a 3.5 but a 4 will do for the atmosphere and food. Full bar and very colorful inside. The shirts are awesome- unique and funny the phrases definitely get people. Complimentary chips and salsa but we also got the queso with guac/beef which was delicious perfect consistency. All the food we ordered was also good Tex-mex food and they let you pick from different sauces to put over your burrito. The portion size is huge! We all didn't finish our plates. So why does it deserve 3.5 stars? Our waiter, I won't mention his name but I do remember you, brought our food out and literally 2 minutes later brought our check, and 2 minutes after that asked if we needed boxes! It's a Tuesday for lunch why are you rushing me we weren't even half way into our food yet. He then proceeded to converse with one of his visitor right behind us. I just hate being rushed when I eat. Me and my coworkers came for happy hour and the manager and waiter was extremely rude to us. The waiter was very short with and kept taking our cups and plates. Then he brought out all of our checks and said "bye" to us and we weren't even leaving. Then the manager comes and and asks us for our table while we were still sitting there and begins to pull it away. Poor customer service. Did not feel welcomed at all. I ordered from them on New Years Eve. My order was picked up and we thought we had everything. Order was missing the guacamole the sour cream and the jalapenos. I called and was told that if I came back they would remake the entire order. This was during the rush hour traffic and I explained that I did not want to get back out in the traffic. My order was an online order and they said it was a new feature and that only corporate could look at it. I was told they would send me a gift certificate for dinner for two. We've been going to this location for 3 years and do enjoy it. However, in all our visits we have never received napkins. (Patio seating) No napkins on the table, with the silverware, when the food is delivered or in the aprons of the servers. The servers promise to find a napkin but by the time they do it is usually as they are delivering the bill. This is absurd. Also spoons are equally nonexistent. Please don't ask for one for your 2, 3, or now 4 year old child who ordered a bowl of rice. You will never receive one. read more

Yes, it's loud, it's a chain, the decor is more kitchy than unique -- but the food is amazing, fresh and fast every time, the drinks are strong and inexpensive, and the service tends to be great (don't write off the restaurant for one bad server). You do have to be a bit proactive in the bar area, it's crowded and busy, especially in the evenings, but I'm happy to flag someone down to get a good margarita at a great price. Try to avoid dinner rush peak hours, since it does fill up fast. Valet parking is super helpful, since parking is crazy on 7th to begin with. read more

First time in Texas and someone told me about this chain. I tried the Chicka-Chicka Boom Boom enchilada with the same sauce. Very good and tasy. The jalapeno cream sauce was ok, tasted more like ranch sauce. The low point was we found a packet of sweet n' low in our salsa. The manager came over and apologized. It was kind of gross but since they were nice it wasn't a big deal. First Tex Mex place visited while here in Dallas/Fort Worth. Our server was very scatterbrained and a few tables around us wondered if she was "on something." Poor service aside, the chips and nacho bar was great. Their salsas are incredible, like the Creamy Jalapeño. Ordered soft tacos and the "grilled sirloin" was nothing but ground beef.
