I love Chuy's! I especially like the salsa. It is a bit spicy which I really like. My favorite dishes are the fajitas.

Really good Mexican. I had the beef burrito (could only get through half) my wife had the Chile relenos really good probably the best most fresh recipe I've had. Good margaritas and the Nee Mexican martini was pretty good to. Great atmosphere. read more

We dined here on a busy Friday night. The restaurant was not as clean as I expected it to be, especially with it being a new location. But I'll give them the benefit of the doubt since it was hectic inside. The food was delicious. Best queso in town by far!!!! But our service was great and waiter was no where to be found. This is the second Chuy's location to open in Lexington (Hamburg area).The service and food quality is excellent. Salsa's, chips, etc all made fresh daily. The staff and management (Ally) are always pleasant and quick to make the experience more complete. I Travel frequently in North America and abroad visiting lots of establishments... Sometimes Chuy's is better than others. The sauces are delicious! The staff is usually solid. Drinks are always good! Sometimes the food is hit or miss, but it's a fun atmosphere, and honestly, if you smother the food with enough creamy jalapeño sauce, nothing else matters! read more

I do love their food, especially the Chile rellenos with some tomatillo and boom boom sauce, but last time the service experience was exemplary. My autistic nephew wanted bbq sauce with his chicken tenders but being a Mexican restaurant they don't carry it. The server actually tried to mix up something simulating bbq sauce! Even though his parents weren't willing to let him try it for some reason, I thought it was above and beyond and appreciate the customer care level as much as the frozen margaritas. read more

We went yesterday afternoon (Sunday) and despite the off-peak time (3:00 PM), there was a 30-minute wait. I always cut a restaurant some slack when they have only been open a few days, so I was expecting some challenges. However, the food was excellent, and the service was friendly and accommodating. I will say we waited a little longer than normal for our food, but certainly nothing to write home about and certainly nothing that won't improve after a few weeks of being up-and-running. The only problem was just as I've read , service was really slow, at one point I began ordering 2 beers at a time because it was such a wait till got another. We came in on National Taco Day just before an even bigger rush than was already there, our servers name was Elizabeth. She was wonderful and patient even though it was busy. So, after parking, we walked up, admiring their outdoor seating area and there was a crowd of people coming up as well as sitting in doorway. We had a limited window of time to work in and the host said the wait would be up to 30 minutes which didn't fit our window. So the wait to eat continues. read more

The new Chuy's location did NOT disappoint me. The same great atmosphere and endless chips with salsa. I went during the happy hour and was able to eat from the FREE nacho bar. It had queso, salsa, refried beans, and chips. I also ordered a lime margarita and it was great. For our entrees we always go for the Big As Yo' Face **STEAK** Burrito, I replace the sauce with queso, it's the BEST burrito you'll ever eat. I love Chuy's so much. One of my favorite places to eat and I love that we have a second location to enjoy while in Lexington. read more

Went to Chipotle omg y pay $8.11 for a rice bowl, it not was it was . Very little rice , not good at all. They must train their employees to do that, give their customers small amount. Guess I need another Chipotle to go to. read more

I called to ask whether Chuy's took reservation or had call ahead. They said no. When I got to the store, a sign on the wall did indicate that you can join the wait list online which they did not tell me about. We requested a booth, but got a table. First seating arrangement had a cold draft from the ceiling vent. Did some rearranging and it was comfortable. First thing we noticed was the waitress was sick. She had lost her voice and was congested. When asked, she said she was sick last week. I understand waitstaff needs the money but who wants a waitress that is sick breathing on food and touching things. She was very nice. The tortilla chips were excellent! Very thin and light. The salsa and the jalapeño cream dip was good. Baskets were replenished along with salsas and water. We ordered fajitas chicken and beef for two. First the fajita meat arrived. We waited and then the beans and rice arrived. We waited and the tortillas arrived and then finally the guacamole, sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes. I would much prefer all of the food arrive at the same time. There was plenty of food and the accompaniments were good. We boxed the leftovers for lunch tomorrow. The bad thing was the chicken and beef tasted smoked and nothing more. The fajita marinade didn't seem to have anything but smoke. We couldn't taste lime, spice, nothing. My marinade is much better! The chicken was tender. The beef seemed to be cut incorrectly with the grain and was tough. The value for the amount of food was good. The acoustics made the place quite loud so don't go there if you have hearing issues. The decor was pretty ugly. I think the drawings were spoofs but ugly nevertheless. Our bill and credit card were not out in a folder for safe keeping. More diner style. Took awhile to process too. I have a lot of favorite Mexican restaurants I would go to before I go back here. They nailed the food! Beware the salsa has some solid kick, but great flavor. I had a fantastic chalupa, and my lunch companions enjoyed tacos and fajitas. Great service as well. We arrived early - just before 11:30 - and were seated quickly, but by noon there was a short wait, so plan early if you have a limited lunch hour. read more

We love this place. We've been to the location across town and were so excited for this location to open. Sure, they're working out new store kinks, but the food and drinks are consistent and the staff is SO friendly, especially given the stressful circumstances. Our most recent waitress, Brooklyn, handled being triple sat with two tables of 4 and a party of 7 like a champ. She was calm, kind, and helpful. Some of her customers were awful to her, but she didn't show it to us. She was kind and collected the whole time. We will be back to eat with her again soon. Keep it up, y'all. read more

I can understand not having the best service at this moment in time, which was definitely the case tonight with our dining experience, but cleanliness is non negotiable. The walls beside our booth were dirty with food remnants. The blinds haven't been cleaned in ages, and I even received a drink that looked like someone had just taken a drink with bright pink lipstick. I like Chuy's, but would at least expect cleanliness not to be an issue on the tail end of a pandemic. I probably won't be going back. Ick! read more

I live in the Hamburg area, and we often get Chuy's takeout. The plus is that it's easy to order online, and the food is generally fine to yummy. I'm a Chicka Chicka Boom Boom ride or die. The problem is the customer service - I've probably gotten fifteen to-go orders from there and there's always an issue. Sometimes I have to wait longer than anticipated. Drinks are often forgotten and I have to ask for them. One time the soda was overfilled and spilled all over my arm as the server handed it to me through the window. I asked if she had any napkins so I could clean my arm since there weren't any in the bag, and she said no and just stood there looking at me. I asked her to go inside and please get some, and I think it dawned on her that that was the solution to the issue at hand. That's just common sense, but she seemed to struggle with what to do there to help the customer. It seems that most who do the curbside to-go may be very young and still learning which I can appreciate, but I hope they can get it together and smooth out their operations. Overall it's a welcome addition to this side of town. read more

My husband and I have never eaten at a Chuy's before but we tried this one last night. The wait was reasonable to be seated however 10 minutes was a little long to wait for the server to find us. Still we tried the appetizer plate and it was great! I will say the house salsa is too hot ! I love heat but wow... so the server suggested we try a jalapeño ranch dip in combination and it was fabulous! The appetizer plate was huge. 1/2 the items my husband liked and 1/2 I liked. So it was a win-win! However, that filled us up and so we didn't try anything else. I will give them kudos for the food I ate. Taquito's were filled with pulled chicken. My husband loved the quesadilla and the queso dip was delicious. We plan on a return trip this week. 5/14 Well I went back to Chuy's tonight by myself. I was really impressed. I was seated within 5 minutes. My server, Summer was a delight! I got the chicken flaunta's! Too much for me to eat but I gladly brought the leftovers home. Summer also didn't make me wait for my food. I had chips and dip ASAP then within 5 more minutes I had my food! Way to represent a good experience at Chuy's. The restaurant was clean as was the ladies room. I only hope they will keep up the higher standard once the newness wears off. This is possibly my new fav casual restaurant. Trip #3- My husband Jerry and I have become very fond of Chuy's! The servers we've had; Summer, Elijah, and Elizabeth have ALL given us exceptional service. The food is always top notch them tonight we go a bit early and find out they offer a Nacho Bar for free during Happy Hour! What? This place is a true gem. We had about a 15 minute wait which was not very long considering they were packed. It looks like we're not the only people in Lex who are loving this place! read more

Customer service sucks. Our waitress acted as if she didn't want to work. Not friendly at all just brings food out and doesn't say anything. Chips are cold when brought to the table. I got the chuychanga and it looked a pretty good size. Until I opened it up and realized it was like a bag of Lays-half air. If you want better service and hot food, go the other Chuy's. I've been here once and I will never return. I ordered a shrimp chimichanga it only had shrimp and cheese there was no vegetables it was season less and nasty. Cheese dip had a flour tates Although I didn't eat my food I did pay for it and told myself I would never walk back in there. read more

I have loved having them in the Hamburg area. I love come here for the creamy jalapeno sauce alone. Seriously, can anyone else just drink that up? When they first opened, we really liked it here. Fun, good food. Seems as if food has gone down hill and the past two times I have gotten brown lettuce in my salad. This past time I ordered a drink and they gave me a USED straw. We knew it was used because there were pink strawberry-like seeds throughout. Unsanitary and disgusting. We left and will not be back. Chuys did reach out but we haven't yet contacted them back. But we appreciate their response. read more
