I would give them 6 stars if possible. We love this place. We usually sit at the bar and Graham or Connor (congrats on graduating) serve us. They always remember our names and usually what we are drinking. Chick a chicka boom boom is a must. Any of my friends barely mentions Chuy's and we have to go immediately. Fajitas are also amazing. Me and my hubs usually split both. I eat one enchilada he eats a couple of beef fajitas then we switch plates! Best of both worlds. Tres Leches cake is awesome! Tried it with chambord pour on the top once for a change. It was really good but I still like the original caramel sauce. Maybe one day I will try another entree but for now its the boom boom all the way. Awesome job guys! read more

We tried to call in our order and were placed on hold the first time for 5 minutes then called back and was placed on hold again for over 8 minutes. Walked in because we might as well just eat in since we couldn't do the to go order. We talked the manager and he was very apologetic. He comped our meal. LAME!! Who ever heard of putting a little guacamole into a great big bowl OVER shredded lettuce hidden underneath. The guac was flavorless to begin with, then the couple at the next table were trying to decide what appetizer to get and asked the waiter how much was in an order and he reached over and moved the drink menu to show the guac container. I'm pretty sure he didn't tell them 'You get that full of lettuce with some guacamole sitting on top'. Oh, and the chicken breast in my meal explained why they call this place Chuy's. Chuy's is a a fantastic place with real character! First, the food is fantastic! If you are from Colorado or New Mexico, you will like the abundance of green chili on the menu. This Austin Texas based chain is a one of a kind and I have eaten at every one of their locations. You will not find another restaurant in Texas like Chuy's. Go there expecting a different and new experience. My favorite menu items are the Comida Deluxe, Elvis Presley Memorial and steak burrito. Don't go to Chuy's and order the fajitas. This is a place to order traditional items like tacos, burritos, enchiladas etc... I have eaten at the Plano location approximately 8 times and love it. Best Tex Mex in East Plano area for sure!!! We go hear about 3 times a month and we take out about 2 times a month. Family friendly and great for large parties. Let me start by saying, I will continue to go back to Chuy's because it's too good not to go to. The service at this location however is lacking. They are too busy to be good, is what it feels like--no smiles, no conversation, limited check-up by waiters if you need something. We LOVE the creamy jalapeño sauce! But... sometimes its more spicy then other times, and sometimes it's more salty and other times. For a chain, I just think it should be more consistence with both service and food. read more

Tried this place for the first time and wow was it sooooo good!! There was about a 15 min wait and the place was packed (always a good sign). We started with some chicken nachos that were awesome. The bf had beer (boring lol) while I tried the mojito (didn't have enough rum in it I thought) and then I had a lime frozen margarita (it was good I just couldn't finish it). For our entrees, we both ordered the same thing which was enchiladas (chicken for him and steak for me). We also both got a really yummy white sauce to go on top of it...it had lime and cilantro in it...must try!! For dessert, I got the flan (also very good if you like custard). We ate at Chuy's all the time, but never again. Took a long time to be seated which we don't have a problem with except they kept letting people cut in front of the line, one lady said they were with a group but didn't want to sit with them so they got seated ahead of others and was through with the meal before the group even arrived which made no sense. After our order was taken the server did not return to the table we had to flag down another server to get drink refills and some of the food we ordered we did not get. We finally had to ask the manager for our ticket so we could leave. All the while our server kept walking by our table ignoring us. Generally even if service and food is lacking we leave a generous trip, but it was such a bad experience we didn't even leave a tip. This was my husbands favorite place. read more

They didn't even open the doors until 11:03 when we went in the servers door and asked why they weren't open. They had no idea it was even after 11am. Then no server showed up for several minutes and we were the first ones there! Then the server didn't bring what I asked, never refilled the drinks until someone else told him he should. Went to Chuys today in Plano off 75 and had the worst experience ever. First off, we were told our table was ready and then lead around the entire restaurant only to have to wait for a table to be cleared. Next our server, Jon, was completely out of it. I almost died of happiness the day Chuy's opened in Plano!! I love this place!! I had been to the one in Dallas and in Austin, but the Plano location was only 5 minutes from my house - now I live in NC and miss Chuy's sooo sooo much! I love their chips, but don't much care for their salsa, its too much like pico de gallo for me, but I LOVE their creamy jalepeno ranch stuff. And they will bring it to you with your chips. Queso Compuesto is an appetizer that is queso with meat and guacamole, beans, and some other assorted things all mixed in. I got this as a meal quite often. The food here really is just the best tex-mex ever! A few of my favs.... Stuffed Avocados Chicken Fajitas Elvis Presley Fried Chicken Chuychanga with boom boom sauce and my favorite ever...PANCHOS - basically nachos with everything you can think of on them! There will be a wait most time when you go, especially on weekends, but its worth it. And when you are seated the service is FAST! Its very rare to wait more than 10 minutes after you order for your food to arrive. Go to Chuy's and eat some panchos for me! read more

When I'm in Plano and want good Tex-Mex, Chuy's is my place. I absolutely love the big Burritos with the fajita beef and can't pass up the salsa. I'm normally not a huge fan of salsa and I usually prefer to order a bowl of Queso instead, but it's just too good here. My wife normally orders the Fajitas and says they're some of the best she's had. The service can be hit or miss sometimes, but for an establishment that is as busy as this one, I think they do a pretty decent job keeping up with everyone. Best Chile Relleno ever! I go to Chuy's for the margaritas (awsome), the nacho bar at happy hour (fab!!!) and most of all for the beef CHILE RELLENO! It is scrumdilliumptious! Chuy's is more toward the NM style than Tex-mex, but still works for the Texan pallet. The salsa and chips are really good, and if you ask they'll bring you some of the Jalepeno Ranch for dipping and it's delish! I am mad for Chile Rellenos and have tried them everywhere. This is a busy location that attracts families, thus it can be very noisy to the point of hard to talk with wait staff. Good food and salsa variety is ok but most of the salsas tend to be not thick (with body) as I would prefer. Watch out, they will fill you up on large bowls of chips while waiting for food to arrive. Décor is retro 1950's mix of diner tables & chairs, old, large framed portraits, muscle car images with 100s of shiny hubcaps hanging from the ceiling, and metal palm trees - depending upon which section you are seated. Be prepared to wait 30+ minutes on a busy weekend night. Tables are packed in so it can be claustrophobic with so many people, servers, and food coming and going frequently, thus not exactly a "relaxing escape" type of atmosphere if that is desired. read more
