We've been here 3 times already since they opened, and LOVE it! Yes, the wait is lengthy if you go at peak times, but well worth it. Atmosphere is fun, servers are super friendly and attentive, and the food is honestly the best tex-mex I've had in years. By far, the best Tex-mex food I have ever eaten. Amazing natural salsa, good guacamole, good service, and I strongly recommend the Baja Shrimp Tacos. My favorite restaurant now. I took my girlfriend there on Valentine's Day. We had roughly a 40 minute wait but by the time we sat down and started eating the salsa I had forgotten we even had to wait. I've had four experiences with chuys. 3 of the 4 were disappointing. I ordered carry out the first two times and both times my orders were wrong. Tonight I went to have dinner with my parents. 20 minutes went by before our waiter even greeted us and that was only after we went to the hostess to ask if we had a server. Then our food arrives and mine has a hair in it. Unlike most other places they charged us for it. 3rd strike and you're out in my book. read more

Went around 1 on a Saturday and it was packed. The decor is interesting. Sat at the bar, and the food came quickly. The tortilla chips were light and crispy. Very good salsa. We got a queso dip that had guacamole and beef in it. Was delicious. I had a southwest enchilada with green chili rice and refried beans. The meal was very filling and great tasting. The only issue, and it was minor, was the pork in the enchiladas was a bit on the dry side. I had to take a nap afterwards I was so full. I would definitely recommend eating here. read more

Placed an order at 11:00 AM for a to-go to be picked up at 6:45 PM. Arrived at the restaurant at 6:30 to pick it up, ended up waiting till 8:45 PM along with several other people as well just to leave with nothing. We asked to receive at least a promise of a refund and couldn't even get that. This wait is unnecessary and unreasonable. There should be no way any amount of rush for food takes 2 hours to fulfill the orders. The to-go order process needs to be improved drastically! Would have loved to have just gotten a refund and taken my business elsewhere but nothing ever came of asking those working to help us with this process. read more

At Mojitos you get 1 per person... then they said they're out of guacamole!!! What kind of Mexican place runs out of guac?! We got up and left. Will never be back. In town for business and stopped in for a late dinner. Sat at the bar and got my food fairly quickly. On my second bite of the stacked enchiladas, I bite into what I think was a neck bone. It was about 2" long and thick. I placed it on the plate and called the bartender (Bailey) over and pointed it out to her. She said "I'm so sorry" then just walked away. 10min later, another bartender (Chris) came over and asked how everything was. I pointed the bone out to him as well. He at least offered to remake it. Then he just scraped it into the trash. This place has gone downhill fast. What a shame. read more

I've been here a couple of times and each time I haven't been impressed. I used to love this place so much but I feel like the service has gone down hill a little bit. The last time I went in, I waited 20 mins for a server to come to my table. When the serve came over he said "sorry we're in between shifts.." Then when I ordered a margarita it took about 10 mins and the whole place was empty (mainly because I came in around 2). Then to make matters worse I ended up sitting in the bar and waited a long time for a small queso.. the bartender did have a few guests but no enough to feel overwhelmed. The good part: We didn't wait at all. Walked in and were seated immediately. Probably the new wearing off. We had fajitas for two. Great salsa, beans and rice were very good, peppers and onions cooked to perfection and guacamole was very tasty. The bad part: The portion of chicken and beef were child size. Biggest problem was that we were seated at a booth for two. Just right for two children. Fajitas for two are served in separate dishes. The small table was overflowing with a bowl for rice, a bowl for beans, a bowl for salsa, a bowl of chips, a bowl of guacamole, sour cream and lettuce, tortillas and the platter of fajitas. Finding room for two drinks and two plates was almost impossible. It was just very cramped. My advice? If you have fajitas for two, ask for an adult table or booth. Also take some ear plugs. It's very noisy. Overall, not bad but just crowded and uncomfortable trying to keep everything on the table. My prediction is it will be quiet and no waiting very soon as customers see the lack of value and comfort. read more

The stuffed avocado is the best thing on earth. Wish it was available every day. But it gets me there on Tuesday.

As we all know there are a lot of options when it comes to Mexican food. They range from hole in the wall authentic to corporate chain American Mexican that is really its own take on Mexican. This is obviously the later. The later is often not done very well. Chuy's is an exception to that in that while it is very "Americanized" it is still good food. To start with, the chips were exceptional. Fresh, light and crisp. The salsa was also very good. I had a taco salad and while it was very basic...it was just the way I like it. Tried this place for the first time the other day, and it was not satisfying. My boyfriend ate two bites from his plate and I forced my food down. Food was not flavorful. Got there at 530 on a Friday night (wasn't my choice). The bar area was packed and you had to stand by the restrooms just to get out of the way. Finally got our seat at 730p. Waitress couldn't remember who had what drinks or what food. Was an alright tex-Mex experience. Place is packed, loud, can't hear people at your table. Tex-Mex deliciousness. This is a chain restaurant, but don't let that stop you from enjoying some great food. Personally, what makes this place great are the freshly made tortillas and the Hatch green chili sauce. I've never had anything bad here, but the beans are mediocre, at best, and if you want good rice try the green chile rice. Fresh chips and salsa round out the experience, as long as your not looking for anything spicy from the salsa. Service is generally good, and once you get a table the food comes pretty quickly. The place is kept clean, even with the high number of patrons served throughout the day. Want to have a great conversation? Look elsewhere as this place is very loud and noisy. Overall, though, I would choose Chuy's over many of the other locally owned, so-called Mexican restaurants. It won't disappoint as many of those do. read more

I am Gluten Free due to a wheat allergy. I asked for a Gluten free menu, but they said they usually have the manager come and discuss the menu and options with you. Jason, the manager, came to our table and recommended the Gluten Free Chicka Chicka Boom Boom Enchiladas since I was craving enchiladas. I am SO GLAD he did because they are literally the BEST enchiladas I've ever had!!! The boom Boom sauce has a slight kick, and I don't like spicy food, but this kick was delicious and I highly recommend this entree!!! Our server recommended avocado slices with it, so I tried that too and talk about DELICIOUS!!!!! My grandmother LOVED the Chili relleno stuffed with cheese. She said it's the BEST she's EVER eaten!!!! Thank you Chuy's, thank you Jason, and thank you to our server (I didn't catch his name but he's tall with longer hair that he had tied back) for the most delightful experience! Our waitress was great, very attentive and patient when we messed up our orders and asked her to fix them. Loved the salsa and all the sauces, which you can get for free with chips and homemade tortillas. We tried several throughout our meal and they were all delicious: creamy jalapeño, green chile, mild salsa, house salsa, and others I can't remember. My Chuychanga was probably the best thing we ordered, absolutely delicious! Other items we got were fish and shrimp tacos, several types of enchiladas, and chili rellano. All were good, nothing spectacular but yummy. I'm not a fan of refried beans so I got the charro(?) style beans. It was almost like a soup, smokey and good. The green chile rice was good but very spicy. Our only complaint was they put 4 adults and a child at a very small table. It was really busy or we would have asked for a bigger table or booth.
