    Tortilla chips

I have no clue what is in the tortilla chip bag but I threw it out. That is so disgusting.

First time at Chuy's. Came here for a team dinner after a volleyball tournament in Buda. A 5star rating is well deserved at this location. Our server, Raudy was cool as a cucumber dealing with our noisy and hungry group of 20. We ordered a variety of items and drinks. Everything was good. Our margaritas and palomas were boozy and refreshingly. My steak burrito was huge! Appreciate everyone who took care of us. We will definitely be back when we're in the area and can't wait to check out the newly opened Chuy's here in New Braunfels.

Order tacos Al carbon beef. This is not worth $15. Literally 4 tiny pieces of meat. Will not be returning. Save your money and go somewhere else. Literally Taco cabana quality.

Ordered curbside. Sat in the spot waiting for the food to come out for 54 minutes. After calling the restaurant at the 32 minute mark, we were told the wait would be 5 more minutes because they ran out of tortillas for the quesadillas we ordered. I questioned how all the other cars around us were getting orders out, and I was told they all ordered salads. 22 minutes later, they strolled out with semi-warm quesadillas and the remainder of the order was cold. We tried to question the guy that dropped off the food at curbside about it, and he blew us off. I tried to call inside, and, after holding for 10 minutes, I was hung up on.... not because I was rude... they picked up the phone and hung up without saying a word. This happened twice in a row. Apparently Chuys is overwhelmed and just throwing trash on a plate tonight.

Jhett is a STAR!! Chuy's is a go-to stop for Tex-Mex, and most of you already know how good the food & drinks are. The Fajita Nachos and Baja Shrimp Tacos were delicious as always. BUT the STAR of this locale was our server 'Jhett!' (Yes, this is correctly spelled.). He was easily the best server we have had in months! He had them plate our shared dishes separately to make them easier to eat, refilled or replaced drinks without us having to ask, and assisted with a smile at every juncture! He would be the top employee at any restaurant; he is simply fantastic!

Meh. Service was good. Good salsa and chips but the meal was kinda gross. Beans and rice tasted like a TV dinner. Enchiladas were bland.

    Are dogs allowed?

I'm sure they will accomodate service dogs indoors. All others must remain on the patio.

Can I bring my dog and sit on the patio? She's about 11/12 pounds. Thanks!

The following up and check in was also timely and convenient. On the day of the event, we added pastries to the dinner and they were ready and willing to provide. Everything went extremely well and I'm thankful for Alejandro Robles Sr & Jr for their hard work. They have a lot to be proud of.

My wife had visited years ago, and a close friend had recently recommended it, so it seemed like a good opportunity to give it a try. The building itself is beautiful. We parked in the rear lot and entered through the bakery, which immediately caught our attention. There was an impressive variety of pastries on display, and the kids were quickly informed they could each pick one out later if they behaved. The restaurant also has several colorful walls and decorative displays that make for fun photo opportunities and selfies. We were seated at a large table toward the back near the restrooms. Service was friendly throughout the meal and reasonably attentive despite the restaurant being busy. To drink, I ordered the jalapeño prickly pear margarita, while my wife chose a peach, coconut, and strawberry margarita. Both had excellent flavor. My wife's drink was especially memorable--it tasted like a cross between a strawberry margarita, peach bellini, and piña colada. The only thing missing was a little more tequila, as both drinks leaned more toward the sweet side than the spirited side. The chips were slightly thicker than I typically prefer but still enjoyable, and the salsa selection was excellent with a pleasant level of heat. The kids ordered bean and cheese tacos from the children's menu, and the restaurant happily substituted fruit for rice without any upcharge, which we appreciated. For our entrees, my wife ordered the vegetarian enchiladas while I chose the fajitas. The fajitas were good overall, though the meat portion felt a bit light and seemed stretched by a generous amount of green peppers. The rice, however, was excellent and one of the better components of the meal. Before leaving, we visited the bakery. The kids enjoyed their donuts and cookie, while I opted for a guava empanada that turned out to be one of the highlights of the visit. Overall, Casa Maria impressed me more with its atmosphere, bakery, and creative drinks than with the food itself. It's a beautiful restaurant with a fun family-friendly vibe, a strong bakery program, and some excellent margarita flavors. I'd gladly stop back for the pastries and drinks--and if they ever decide to be a little more generous with the tequila, even better.

We always come back for the cold drinks, especially the DP Shootouts, which are a must-try. The food is exactly what you'd expect (in a good way!) big portions that are perfect for sharing, like the nachos, and pretty solid Tex-Mex tacos. The drinks have always been ice cold, the food comes out quickly, and the whole place has that fun small-town, college bar vibe. I got the nachos and it was truly the most disappointing nachos I've ever had in my entire life. The nachos consisted of a few tortilla chips, few pieces of chicken, lots of fake cheese and large slices of onions throw on there and that's it. It was just overall disappointing. My friend got the burger and it was ready an hour after we ordered it. Once it arrived, both the burger and fries were cold. However, my other friends got the steak chimichanga burrito and the chicken burrito and it was truly amazing. Again, I think it's a great pregame spot but don't have high hopes.

An a la carte single enchilada and sopapillas. The tortillas were nice and fresh. Well made. NOT hard or tough to bite into. The enchilada was quite cheesy and very tasty. The sopapillas weren't overly filled with honey, but yet if you needed more it was available on the table. Our coffee was nice and strong and kept coming. We decided to give it another try and the food was worse, the service was somewhat better, before we got the bill anyways. When we got the bill they overcharged us. The menu clearly shows desebrada chimichanga is $12.99 and on the bill they charged $12.99 and an extra $1.99. When I showed this to the server she tried to say that was for the guacamole, which was a total fabrication because a) the $1.99 was on the line that says desebrada and b) there was a charge of $1.25 on the line for guacamole. After not accepting this she said "I don't know" and was going to leave it at that until I asked to speak with a manager. The manager had ZERO customer service skills as she started by saying "what's your problem?" I patiently explained the overcharge again and she took out her phone and added the amounts on the bill, she didn't explain why she was doing this, but I assumed it was to check if the $1.99 was actually in the total, and it was. She then said "let me check the computer" and was gone for nearly 10 minutes. When she returned she said the computer is right the ground beef is $12.99 and the desebrada is an additional $1.99. She refused to match the price in the menu and walked away! We won't be back and suggest you don't waste your time, unless you like mediocre Mexican food, terrible service, being charged more than the menu states and having a Manager metaphorically flip you off!
