Not a great night for Chuy's. We were seated promptly but didn't receive any silverware nor napkins. We had to ask for both multiple times after receiving our meal and only got the silverware packages. Couldn't eat without it.... We also had to request more chips and water as well. But they were not very busy... Husband ordered a frozen margarita which took a very long time to arrive. Our server told us management would compensate us for the wait but "didn't make it to change our ticket before we paid our bill." Our server unfortunately spilled a full glass of lemonade. It spilled on myself, husband, our kids backpack and the next table. We left sticky, no way to clean up was offered. Nothing was provided other than verbal apologies. Hey Chuy's We recently visited Chuy's and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Our family waited 45 minutes to be seated, all while there were multiple empty tables visible throughout the restaurant. This was not a one-time situation--this is the second time this has happened to us at this location. Manager Kristina was handling seating herself, and while we understand things can get busy, the lack of efficiency and awareness during that time was very noticeable. Waiting that long with open tables available reflects poor organization and a lack of customer care. What made it even more frustrating is that in the past, this was a place we truly enjoyed, largely because of the quality of service. If I'm going to be honest, Chuys has the best queso in all of Tulsa. After the starters, I ordered a bean burrito. It was huge and super filling, but, it was so good. I really enjoyed it. Why haven't I been back? It was 10 years ago that I last dined in Chuy's. My wife and I had just moved back to Tulsa. Then, I asked a friend that had lived in San Antonio, where was the best TexMex in Tulsa? He recommended Chuy's. I remember, we dined at Chuy's on a Sunday. The place was a mad house, a zoo. The parking lot packed. Inside every table was full and the noise was deafening. Uncontrolled kids were running in all directions screaming and playing, snottin' sneezin' and making a mess of the salsa bar. The food was good. TexMex style and flavors that I remembered from living in Texas. Delicious, but it was not worth the hassle dealing with the parking and crowded restaurant. Haven't been back since. Chuy's recently advertised a new (new to me) green chili enchilada and relleno plate. The picture of the crispy deep fried relleno hooked me. Rellenos prepared like that are uncommon. When I see 'em, I'm on 'em, like a fat boy on an ice cream cone. Add green chili, I'm in the car leaving. Please don't recommend Ricardo's. I've been there. They serve a bland disastrous plate of cheese. Chips and fresh salsa came to the table. Not cooked or canned tomato sauce. Fresh tomatoes with jalapeno and cilantro. Very good. The salsa bar is gone, so I was wondering if there were other salsa options. Annika, our super fantastic server explained, pick what you want from the sauce selection on the menu. In minutes we had the red chili and the TexMex on the table to dip our chips in. This is the good stuff, made from dried chili peppers. Chuy's is a large comfortable restaurant. The walls are busy with pictures of everything. Where we were sitting, amusing caricatures of French Bulldogs dominated. The food was wonderful. Cheerful, personable Annika, provided flawless attentive service! My TexMex has been rediscovered in Tulsa. One of of the few restaurants that actually tasted like Mexican food in Oklahoma and as someone who is from California I know what real Mexican food tastes like and chuy's tasted a lot like it, I got the baja fried shrimp tacos and they were pretty good, the waiter was really cool and he gave us free warm tortillas when we left because a guy complained but honestly I don't know why he was complaining because everything was perfect. The restaurant inside gave a warm, welcome, and cozy feeling and it wasn't too fancy at all, like you could go in with the most casual clothes ever and you would fit right in, just maybe don't come in with a full suit and tie lol. A kitchen staffer came to the register and proceeded to wait ilon a door washer before me even though I was there first, still no even spoke to or anything. The staff at this location are not very friendly at all three different employees came out not one spoke to me or greeted me and said someone will be with you shortly. I won't be spending any more of my money at Chuy's if this is the type of service customers receive here, it was not busy at all, I feel like additional customer service or just customer service period needs to be implemented. I know my one to go order probably didn't/won't make a difference to your company's business, but I can definitely let others know the type of treatment that received from this location. We have a Chuys about 30 minutes from our house in Texas. Was excited to stop in her for a late lunch after our morning at the Gathering Place. Took our waitress a little over 5 minutes to finally get to us and get our drinks and order, but after she got us she was on top of taking care of us. We used to love Chuy's a lot before COVID. Then the menu changed for a while after and we quit going until recently. Our friend had a birthday party there, and the menu is back with good vegetarian options again. They have a nice large private dining room that holds 30 to 40 people.The restaurant has a very fun eclectic atmosphere. The food is very good with lots of spicy sauce options. My favorite is the Vegetarian Enchiladas with the Boom Boom sauce. We also love the Jalapeno Ranch sauce, which is not listed on the menu, but is still available, We had the privilege to try the Tres Leches Cake, which I was surprised was amazing! Wow! First I have to start with the fact that the service was amazing!!!! Extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Also very welcoming. I wish I remembered the name of our waitress because she was on top of it. You could tell she really knew her stuff, and also took a lot of pride in that. It's always so refreshing to get a waitress or waiter who goes above and beyond to give you a good dining experience. I can't speak for the entire staff, but I would assume that that's the norm here, which can be hard to find to say the least. At first we were given chips and salsa, as you do when at Mexican places. Then we were given very small samples of the many salsa options that they have at Chuy's. I really appreciated this, because I'm a huge salsa fan! So not only was I happy about having so many choices in one place, I was glad to get to try them in one sitting. I think there were close to 10 options!!! That's crazy awesome! For my table of about 8, the plate of sample salsas wasn't much but it was enough for us to each get a bite of each, more or less. It was also a bit hard to scoop up the salsa since there wasn't much of each (again, for 8 people) and was also served on a plate instead of a bowl. BUT I know I still definitely got to try all of them, so for just trying them out it was fine. Some of them were pretty similar, but I liked one of the green ones the best. I ordered the roasted pork enchiladas. One of the main reasons I ordered them was because they came with the salsa I liked on top. They also came with rice and beans. The beans had a different flavor, but not in a bad way... they just had their own take. I kind of appreciated it. I almost want to say they were heartier but not in a meaty way. If I had to guess, I'd say it has something to do with hatch chiles, because it seems like they really love hatch chiles at Chuy's. The enchiladas themselves were also good. The rice was flavorful but pretty standard. We also got the tres leches cake for dessert. I've had this a handful of times (and some of these being authentic family recipes), but I have to admit that even though this one came from a chain restaurant, it's the best I've ever had!!! If you're someone who's never had it before but want to try tres leches, this could be a good place to start. It's not too liquidy, so it's less of a shock as some others you may try might be. And they added a super cute touch where they wrote out "Chuy's" in honey. I loved that. It also came surrounded by the most incredible whipped cream. I have to tell you we were pretty happy. The big issue was we joined the waitlist from our hotel across the street and it said 0 min to 15 min wait. This is at 5:20 on a Tuesday night.. not to busy really at all. We went and they said they see me but there is a wait. So we waited and waited... finally got seated. Lots of open areas for seating so clearly they had staffing issues as most service locations are having. Our waitress was Brooklyn and she was great and very helpful and the food came out quick and it was very good. When we left wow people were stacked up waiting to get seated. I hope they can get the staffing figured out. So a tip would be go early or bring your patience. read more

No. I meet my mom, who lives an hour out of Tulsa, for lunch once a week. We eat somewhere off 71st & Mingo b/c that's where she has to come to buy supplies for their busines. So we've had our fill of ALL those Austin-based restaurant chains that sit on that 71st st corridor. We just wanted to try sthg different, we hadn't been to a 'Chuy's' in 10 years but seemed to remember that they had some creamy ranchy jalapeño dip that was the reason everyone used to go there. And their parking lot was half empty, unlike all the other restaurants around - should have been a clue. There was ONE church group of a dozen or so people eating there, snarking loudly about how all the other churches in town were going to 'hell,' but I guess that isn't Chuy's fault. What IS their fault is that they have no lunch menu, we couldn't find anything about that 'dip' on the menu and when we asked about it the server directed us to their nine dollar 'queso' dip. Please know that I am NOT the type of person who gets up and walks out of a restaurant after the waters and complimentary chips have been served, and my mother certainly is not, but that is exactly what we did. read more

The wife and I were each very happy with our entrees. I had the veggie enchiladas, sans cheese, with Mexican rice, charro beans, and ranchero sauce. The wife had the guacamole tacos with Mexican rice and refried beans. The waiter knew what vegan meant and assured us that he'd make sure the entrees came out (vegan) as ordered. Chuy's gives out chips and salsa at the beginning of the meal. The chips were thin flour tortilla chips and were warm when they arrived at our table. The salsa was relatively mild but had a refreshing lime forward taste. We ordered a guacamole accompaniment. This was pretty good. Though not the best guacamole I've had, I would order it again and feel fine about it. With so many vegan options to choose from, we will have to return, and we will, happily. read more
