Stopped in for a late lunch. The owner is generally there providing wonderful customer service. Today was no exception. He is very courteous and very friendly. We ordered white pizza, fried ravioli, buffalo wings and spaghetti and meatballs. All of it came out super quick and fresh. The taste was superb. For an Italian spot, there wood fired wings are great. They offer several different flavors but we went traditional and ordered buffalo. First of all this place is super friendly, clean and the help is there to please. I took home some salads and wings and leftover pizza for my family. However I stayed to enjoy a few bites of yumminess while it was fresh and hot. I started with the homemade mozzarella patties with the sauce provided and found them to be delicious. Wish they had been cooked a tad longer so the batter had been crispier and the cheese hotter, a squeeze of lemon added a nice surprise to the taste. I highly recommend that step! The pizza was a little soggy for my liking. I think I would like it better cooked longer to be able to eat my slice without everything sliding off. Their ingredients are definitely of high quality which I do appreciate. Their arugula salad was generous on the greens side but the apple was literally slivers of a green apple and should have included more in my opinion...their were few grapefruit segments as well. They forgot the shaved Parmesan cheese so fortunately I caught that before I left. The mustard vinaigrette was quite delicious and made the salad super fresh, bright and delicious in taste--just wish there had been more toppings. Holy crap where do I start with this place! My favorite hands down no question pizza place in the tri state area! Their margarita pizza makes you feel as if you are eating pizza in Naples, Italy! It's that good! Their 4 meats pizza is magical as well with all of the house made meats and spicy pepperoni! But what makes it the best is their San Marzano tomato sauce! This place has so much potential, but damn it memphis, you just ruin everything. Pizza crust is great but needs to be ordered well done, the amount of toppings on the pizza makes the middle of the crust so soggy. I don't want to hear "but it's Neapolitan pizza" yeah well I've had plenty where it's not soggy in the middle. And the toppings, why? Why so many? STACKED with toppings and it's either overwhelming or makes the pizza ridiculously difficult to eat so you eat it with a knife and fork. Because there are so many toppings, the cheese does not melt and toppings are cold, which is probably why the pizza is soggy. The crust at the end is good but just wish they knew how to use that oven. Sauce is okay, nothing special, I think it's some canned sauce. The toppings seemed to be off tasting. The prosciutto we had on one of the pizzas tasted so off that we picked it off and just unwillingly ate the crust and sauce. It's just not worth it and I think this place is catering to the Memphis crowd and not what a true and authentic Neapolitan pizza. read more

This is our go to pizza place. It's in a strip mall but they have a real wood oven. Because of this, the pizzas come out quickly. I recommend the four meat. Spicy, but great. Wine by the glass doesn't come in stemmed glasses which is appropriate for this type of place. I always get the meatball appetizer and make some pasta at home for a meal at work. Out of a 10, I give this place a solid 7. Puts you in the mind frame of 1 step higher than Pyros. The flavor of the dough is very good, not like Pyros. Needed a tad more seasoning in the sauce, and I wish the crust held up longer. Overall, decent food and friendly faces! read more

So disappointed. Husband's calzone had the wrong ingredients inside. He was bummed. Friend had chicken wings she said we're delicious. But soggy crust inside the fire? Time after time????? It seems I've been landing the 100th review of the location a lot lately. Lets just say... I haven't been much of a "trendsetter". With that said, here we go. I arrived today 2-19-16 at about 13:40 for lunch. Parking was easy as I got the front spot and I didn't see many cars. I was surprised to see 12 or so people dining inside. With one ahead of me, I waited my turn, and was greeted by the owner. I asked which "Neapolitan" pizza he recommended and without hesitation he said the "Margherita". "The pizza of the Queen" he said. I say let's do it and we cash out. Friendly banter occurs and I'm off. I am handed an eight ounce water cup and head to the condiment/bev station. Water is not available from the Freestyle machine (that's new to me) and I must get water from a container on the counter. I'm feeling pretty lowbrow at the moment seeing how I must drink from the "loser cooler". On a side note, I had to get up and refill my little water glass three times while eating and that sucks. Pizza comes and it looks pretty great I must say. I'm excited to grab it and eat a slice and nope... It looked sliced yet it wasn't. There were lines but it wasn't cut all the way through. There was a steak knife and a really crappy pizza cutter included with the pizza so I guess the half cut pizza is some sort of sick joke for them. I make the appropriate cuts and try to pick up a slice and it's impossible to pick up. The sauce and the toppings slough right off. The first slice was almost "soupy" there was so much moisture on it. There was no consistency in the crust at all and almost seemed raw because it was so wet. Now, I must say the taste was great. The sauce was light and fruity, the mozzarella was great, and the basil and olive oil added a nice touch. That's where the three stars comes from. If the pizza was actually pizza and not a soupy pie I think it could have been a really great pizza. I'm not sure if its always like that or I got lucky. I'll try it again for sure. It was very reasonably priced and the products on the line looked homemade and fresh. I ended up rolling it like a burrito/sushi/pizza and eating it that way. I was pleasantly surprised with my experience here. The ingredients are all very fresh and flavorful. We had the Primo and it was delicious. The homemade cannoli was awesome too. At this point I have been to this resturant a few times. Some of the items are better than others! I have tried the taco pizza, parmesan chicken pizza (not a fan), wings, fried mozzarella, and fried ravioli. Overall I liked most of the thing that I have tried. They cook the pizza in a 900 degree wood fire oven for about 90 seconds. If they are diligent about turning the pizza quickly the taste is quite awesome. However, one time I visited it tasted like my crust was cooked a second or two to long on one side, cause it to taste a bit singed. The overall environment is a bit tight and it is always bustling! The customer service is average. Some of the people are much more accommodating than others. I actually enjoy this place. So we will be visiting again soon! read more

Used to be wonderful and has really gone downhill. They NEVER get my order correct (simply leave off the onions!) and I can tell they just don't care anymore. This was one of my favorite spots for pizza and it is authentic pizza too, but now the crust is burnt and it's not cooked in the middle.
