We ordered dutch chocolate frozen yogurt. The junior size was just perfect. Delicious!!! Only 1 parking space is located in front of the shop. Cute shop with a lovely neighborhood vibe.

Cute location with lots of treats. Coffee , banana bread , froyo is also offered in vanilla , choco and pomegranate flavors with choice for toppings. Parking was tricky as you have to park on the side of the road on a busy street.

Stumbled upon this place when I was driving nearby. What a cute local shop that seems to be locals' hangout spot. Kids just walk by to grab some candies while others are having a nice afternoon break. Friendly staffs and yummy snack!

I had forgotten about this hidden gem - pretty great coffee - Verve. Soft serve fro-yo - BOGO with Yelp check-in. Bulk candy, sandwiches made to order - local baked goodies. Worth checking out - nice patio with chairs to sit and umbrellas if you need shade. Darling store

Definitely off the beaten path. Nestled in a quaint, quiet neighborhood is this cute cafe. Prices are moderate, service is a bit slow, but the charm amidst Silicon Valley is remarkable. There is a cute little backyard area to enjoy your treats.

This place is so cute! I wouldn't have known it exists if it weren't for Yelp since it's in the middle of a neighborhood. It has a full wall of candy, froyo, coffee, baked goods, etc. There is a cute patio area with outdoor seating for you to enjoy your treat. I got sour belts and hubbie got coffee. The sour belts I think cost $3 which isn't bad at all!

Great local shop. Love the ambiance, selection for kids and adult kids. There's plenty of street parking.

Croissant-wich with ham (+$0.75) and matcha latte with oat milk (+$0.50).

Awesome find! I live in Palo Alto and didn't even know about this hidden gem. I got an iced matcha latte with oat milk (+$0.50) and a croissantwich with ham (+$0.75). Overall spent about $15 with a 15% tip. The latte was a real highlight here, I could clearly taste the matcha and the only sweetening came from the oat milk. It was a subtle sweetness that didn't overwhelm the matcha, it was great! As for the croissantwich, it was buttery, soft, and delicious (it was made to order!). I included the ham and I think that was a good move, it needed some saltiness. Overall, it's a great place for a light weekend breakfast.

Cute local "Sweet" shop located in a nice quiet Los Altos neighborhood just a few blocks from Santa Rita Elementary School. In addition to novelty candy, they also serve frozen yogurt, coffee, lunch, dippin' dots, plus much much more. It was cool to see Thomas Keller chocolates bars and other local brands. There are 4 little round tables inside and a few more tables outside in the patio area. Fun place to hang out with the kids or to catch up with a friend. Proceeds support local schools!

This is such a cute little neighborhood gem. We thought we had the wrong address because it's really in between houses. So dang cute. So, street parking. Clean bathroom. Adorable little fountain and seating area. A wall full of packaged candy, coffee, froyo, dip and dots- anything your sweet tooth desires.

Birthday party at the back yard is very cute.

Fun and charming place to go on my bike rides with the kids! The desserts are great, and the patio is a relaxing place to hang out.

But it was invisible to me. Until today, anyway. I am so happy I finally found it. Because Gourmet Works is much more than a store that sells candy and chocolate. In fact, as the name would suggest, it's more of a Gourmet food store and Gift Shop than a Chocolate Shop. But it's also a hella cool chocolate shop and that's the main reason I will be sure to return. Right when you walk in the door you are surrounded by an astonishingly large variety of items that would make the perfect gift for a loved one, or for yourself. Because, I ain't gonna lie, there were at least a dozen items that I considered buying for myself. I thought to myself, you know, I do so much for me, and it seems I rarely properly thank myself for my devoted patronage and self care. If you are interested in high quality gourmet gifts, Gourmet Works is definitely the place to go! They carry so many products you would be hard pressed to find elsewhere. Gourmet Salts, Dried Herbs, Pasta Sauces, Dried Pasta, Curry Sauces, Masala Simmer Sauce, Special Preserves and Jams. An impressive, well-curated selection. Then, at the back of the store you find the kind of Chocolate display case that dreams are made of. Oh my Lord! Just the Truffle side alone would be enough to melt anyone's heart. But the other side, with the astonishing variety of hand dipped chocolates is where I lost it. I saw the Almond Bark and stopped dead in my tracks. I stared at that Almond Bark. The Almond Bark stared back at me. We were locked into that stare down for what seemed like an eternity. I was sure neither of us would ever give in. But then I blinked. Somehow I became aware that the wonderful woman behind the counter was asking me if she could help me. As I regained my senses, suddenly I felt so embarrassed. How long had I been staring at that Almond Bark? How many times had she tried to get my attention? I had no idea. I tried to play it off like there was nothing going on between me and that Almond Bark. I casually inquired about some Chocolate Covered Caramels with Sea Salt on a totally different shelf in the display case. Then, of course, I had to buy a couple of those Chocolate Covered Carmels with Sea Salt, to cover up the whole situation with me and the Almond Bark. I purchased a couple ordinary, un-chocolate covered Caramels with Sea Salt too. The woman behind the counter couldn't have been more gracious. She didn't let on that she knew exactly what was happening and I wasn't fooling anyone with the whole Chocolate Covered Caramels with Sea Salt charade. So, my thanks to Gourmet Works, and the gracious woman behind the counter, Padmaja (her family owns Gourmet Works). It was such a pleasure to shop at your wonderful store! Mikey C says: I'm coming back for you, Almond Bark!

As such, I hauled @$$ down here a few days back to buy a few candies and a box of See's chocolate "lollypops." This particular location had been right here for a good approx. 30 years. I remember going to it a number of times as a kid. So, hence, I had to make one last stop, if nothing else, for nostalgia's sake. On my visit, unsurprisingly, there was a long line of people who were A) getting gifts for Mother's Day, and B) buying one last item(s) from this store before their permanent closure. Overheard an employee say to another customer that the employees at this store were offered to work at other See's locations, so it's nice to know that they at least weren't laid off instead. So far, the individual chocolates I bought have been, predictably, delicious. Like in my previous review, regardless of location, you can't go wrong with See's confectionery. They're a Bay Area staple. You're gonna like the way they taste. I guarantee it. I'll miss this particular location though. But who knows? Maybe Warren Buffet will intervene and find a way to get them to stay. (Wishful thinking.) 4 stars

The tempering also seemed off on those pieces, and the tops had a melty, uneven texture, which was disappointing. Some of the dark chocolate pieces are super delicious, but some tasted old, which wasn't good. Given my love for European chocolates, my husband got me their 16-piece dark chocolate box twice, and both times the ones with nuts weren't good - but the rest were decent and really good chocolates. Their dark chocolate collection is made from cacao from the Americas, Madagascar, and some other spots, which is a great variety. I do love their dark chocolate hot though, which is 69% cocoa, it's not too sweet, and we made it with unsweetened almond milk, which is a perfect touch of a cozy cup. I don't think I would try their dark chocolate collection again given my disappointment both times with their chocolates that has nuts in it tasting old.
