I really wanted to like this place, as I grew up a mile down the road from it and my best friends family used to own it when it was Another Roadside Attraction. It's very cute and friendly, the service has always been great and that's why I gave it two stars. The food on the other hand has been very disappointing. I've ordered dine-in and takeout 3 times, in hope that it would get better. The clam chowder had a lot of sand in it, the breading slid off the fried green tomatoes, the gumbo looked and tasted like dishwater, the lettuce in the salad tasted soapy, and the macaroni and cheese was very bland, no salt, overcooked, not enough cheese. I'm hoping that this review helps them. I would like to see them succeed. I will keep giving them chances to change my opinion. read more

Stopped here on a roadtrip up to Vermont with my girlfriend hoping to find some better food than your typical rest stop. Boy was it a treat :)! The menu offers a variety of delicious options from guilty pleasures to healthy delights. The hostess/waitress was incredibly friendly and professional and the service was really fast too. Stopped here for brunch with my kids on the way back from skiing. All of us loved our food and the live music! We started out with fried green tomatoes, an old favorite of mine and a new thing for the kids to try. They were yummy, the tomatoes were breaded just right and the remoulade was spicy and a very good addition! My son got the breakfast platter with scrambled eggs, toast, and home fries, and a side of bacon. All delicious, he ate every bite (we forced him to share the home fries). My french toast was excellent, generous and cooked just right, as were my daughter's fluffy chocolate chip pancakes. We were very happy with the service, and the bluegrass/country was lovely and soothing, sung by a woman on her guitar-- such a treat after the last 2 years of covid! We found this gem in the midst of a journey home from a weekend away in Troy. Everything we had was delicious...from the cheese bites and mozzarella sticks to the brunch and homemade dessert (apple crumb pie, yum!!) We spent about an hour there and we're not in a rush so we didn't mind the wait for the food. Our server kept the coffee cups filled and brought us our drinks and condiments as requested. We just started spending our weekends upstate. Every weekend that we are upstate, we have breakfast at Cider Bros. Sometimes once a weekend, sometimes twice. The food is excellent, and everyone is very friendly. They always make us feel at home when we come. I'm working my way thru the entire menu. I'm halfway there, not because we haven't been there enough times, but because I've been eating the biscuits and gravy (w/ an order of sunny side up eggs on top) nonstop for a month..... my wife has already told me preemptively that the next time she is pregnant, her pregnancy craving will be their corned beef hash. read more

Small roadside restaurant with no road appeal. inside was very plain. The waitress seated us and took our order, not very friendly. Food was priced as if it was a 5 star establishment. Salad was somewhat wilted. Crab cakes were deep fried with a hard crust. First time there for breakfast was hopping for a different place other then Murray's or bread alone which we really enjoy. Had the omelette with fresh farm eggs they make there omelette with only 2 eggs had it with sausage and onion was over cooked and didn't really taste the egg due to the small size. My wife had the avocado toast with over easy was good but egg was over cooked. Service was great but expect better from a culinary chef. Hopefully next time. Stopped in for late breakfast today. Adorable, cozy setting with friendly service. Ordered the corn beef hash and an omelette. Both were quite tasty and we cleaned our plates!!! Coffee was hot and tasty, and replenished by our server Rachel, without us even having to ask. The rest of the menu including lunch looks so tempting we will most definitely be back soon. We stumbled upon this place and we were SO LUCKY! Driving off the Taconic Parkway on route 199. This was one of the best meals we had in along time. Crab hush puppies were wonderful. Fish tacos and fries were amazing! This will become a destination on our trips to the area. Worth the trip!! read more

5 of us went at 2pm on a rainy Thursday this week and had a great time. They had a great menu. My friend got a burger with schnitzel on top, My other friend got a chicken sandwich which she said was the best one she's ever head. They have really interesting drinks. I hope our server was the owner- she was so kind and accommodating. I left off a star for over cooked fries all around. They have large outdoor seating area that must be great on a sunny day. 0 stars. Don't go here. We arrived for lunch at 1pm and left aft 2:35 without any food. Not one cracker or breadcrumb. The restaurant was not full. We were incredibly patient. Our group of 4 had activities and chilled and chatted. The server checked on us ONCE after an hour to say our food was coming and 20 minutes later a table who had just arrived got their appetizers. Not one drink refill was offered. We ordered an egg sandwich, a BLT and french toast. Explanation was that their computers went down. When asked it was the technical glitch that caused it all. This place is my favorite restaurant in this area for breakfast! The food is delicious every time, freshly cooked to order. Caleb works magic back there in the kitchen -- my all-time favorite is the corn beef hash, which I have every.single.time. Hot off the griddle and so, so good. My husband jokes that I would probably eat it every day if I could...and I would, if I physically could. I don't have a picture of my other favorite - the breakfast burrito. Got a kick to it with chipotle sauce and some jalapeños, meat, melted cheese - it's also so delicious, hot off the griddle. My husband, on the other hand, eats the biscuits and gravy quite often here. He's a southern boy who lives in the northeast and misses southern white gravy. This is the one place he gets his fill of that gravy. They also have some specials from time to time, like the English breakfast. Enjoyed that! Best of all, the atmosphere is very warm and family friendly -- we never feel rushed and really enjoy our time here. Stopped in because I saw corned beef hash on the menu ( breakfast served all day)! Omg it was homemade, not the dog food type so commonly found! The cook made it extra crispy just like I asked for it. The staff is super nice and welcoming and the space has been upgraded since the previous owners and looks great. We stopped at this cute restaurant on our way to Saratoga and just expected to get some breakfast. Wow were we surprised! The menu is Farm to table, innovative and delicious!
