It's a nice place. We take the elevator up to the restaurant. Staff at the elevators are friendly and courteous. Once we reach the table host, we are lead to our tables. Every table and chair has a nice view of the desert. Floor to wall windows. Don't worry if you are not right next to a window. The views are great everywhere. The food was amazing. Drinks are better than the ones at the casino bar. The steak was cooked to perfection. The cocktails were perfect. Great selection of wine. Great overall experience in dining. Our server had a great sense of humor.

Came here for my husband's birthday. We drive by the Morongo casino every time we're heading out to L.A., and were curious about this place, and were told Morongo has great food. The restaurant was on the top floor, very classy and the view was amazing. The server was great and the meal was very good. The ambiance was nice they had a wonderful pianist cranking out the music during our meal. We dressed up a little bit because there was a dress code. The only thing I thought was a bummer was a lot of other people dressed sloppy and were still served. If they don't stand by their dress code then why have one? It would be nice to go to a classy steak house and see people wearing nice clothes instead of sloppy shorts and t-shirts.

Located on the top floor of the casino, Cielo promises an upscale dining experience--and it delivers. While the restaurant doesn't offer the sweeping desert views one might hope for from such a high perch, its open, airy layout creates a sense of space and calm that's rare in a bustling resort setting. The environment is peaceful with a quiet atmosphere that makes it ideal for a retreat from the casino floor. From the moment we arrived, the service stood out. Attentive without being intrusive, the staff noticed small details. Our server offered excellent recommendations and clearly knew the menu well. We started with the Seafood Pasta, which exceeded expectations. The dish came with a generous variety of fish and shellfish, see my pic, all cooked to perfection. The broth was a rich, buttery base that didn't overpower the seafood but enhanced its natural flavors. The pasta was al dente, soaking up just the right amount of the broth to create a balanced, deeply satisfying bite. The Salmon Filet was equally impressive--moist, delicately, and topped with a light crab sauce that complemented the fish without overwhelming it. The dish tasted as good as it looked. Since we were celebrating a special occasion, the restaurant surprised us with a complimentary dessert. The dessert itself was light - just the right ending to a rich and flavorful meal. Cielo may not offer panoramic vistas, but it more than makes up for it with its polished service, peaceful ambiance, and standout cuisine.

Maine Lobster Bisque

I had a great dining experience at Cielo inside Morongo Casino. The view was nice and overall the meal was very enjoyable. Excellent service...Arron was my server, and he was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything went smoothly throughout the evening. While I really enjoyed most of the dishes, the only thing that didn't quite hit the mark for me was the lobster bisque. Everything else made up for it, and I would absolutely return for another meal here.

I have eaten here at the bar, for a full meat centric meal, and on my latest trip, an assortment of appetizers and sides. Every time, no matter how big or small the party, the service and food have been stellar. Gorgeous room with a view if you get here before sunset, and later in the evening the huge chandeliers make it a very classically beautiful space. We started with a Caesar which was surprisingly topped with my favorite, white anchovies! The fried calamari with shisito peppers was tender, crunchy and perfect. The buttered mushroom side was a generous serving and very rich with a nice variety of mushrooms. I loved the asparagus, big thick stalks, cooked just enough to be tender. I've eaten their steaks and chops, but tried their steak tartare this time. Handcut quality meat with plenty of cornichons a raw quail egg, but under seasoned. I asked for a side of Dijon which I mixed in and it helped tremendously. The toasted bread on the side was delicious. They carry élit vodka, so I had a nice dirty martini that capped off the evening.

Great spot for Friday date night. Beautiful views , wonderful service and food is outstanding. My husband had the filet mignon and it was amazing. Very tender melt in mouth deliciousness! Scallops were perfectly cooked. Very generous serving of the wedge salad topped off the meal. Definitely will return.

If you're in the area you have to go this place! I came here for my 10 year anniversary and this was my overall review: - let's begin with the service. Everyone was so nice and very friendly. Big smiles on everyone's face and our server gave out excellent recommendations! I would highly recommend making a reservation. This place gets filled fast! - The restaurant is located at the top of Morango Casino. Big tall windows that makes the few beautiful for sunset! ( we came around dark time and it was still nice to see the view with the lights. It's two stories btw! There's also a piano in the middle on the main floor which was giving "elegance" . There wasn't anyone playing while we were dining but I can only imagine with the acoustics how beautiful it would be. - Food: this is a seafood steakhouse and we decided to stick to trying their seafood. ( they had a real good deal on the tomahawk.) we started off with a Riesling wine and a Modelo. Make sure you get the bread ( served warm ), calamari ( great flavor on the breading) , crab cakes ( nice size and the crab was very tasty) . We also had the lobster bisque ( it was okay, few pieces of lobster inside of it). For the entrées, we had the seafood Alfredo pasta, and the Chilean Seabass. Both I will definitely recommend getting great flavor amazing texture on all the seafood.

lamb chop!

Was here on a Sunday night with my date. Really, you don't have to drive 3 hours to Vegas to enjoy casino and fine dining! Morongo has FREE PARKING! Cielo was GREAT! Martini and smoked old fashioned were on point! The crab cake is the best I have ever tasted. The lamb chops - OMG - soooo good! medium rare, whatever season used was beautiful. A bit of burnt/smoke fat on the bone had me gnawed at every bits and pieces. The sides are standard like any good restaurant: sauteed asparagus, bake potatoes, etc... Tonight there was a piano singer - she was also great! Good conversation with the Manager - Gerado. Our waiter - Aaron was very engaging and entertaining. Cielo for date night is well worth the $$$.

Tomahawk steak, Cream Cheese Mashed Potato, Steamed Asparagus, and garlic shrimp
Cathleen C.

Went for a family dinner at Morongo's restaurant and were sadly disappointed in the quality of the tomahawk we got. The entree came with a wedge salad and we picked asparagus, garlic shrimp, and cream cheese mashed potatoes. When initially ordering the waiter Jared did inform us that the food would take some time to come out which was not an understatement so we patiently waited however were disappointed when we started to eat our tomahawk which had no flavor and the mashed potatoes were barely warm. Our family we went with however had better luck with their entrees which is why I'm leaving 3 stars rather than 2 and our service was also exceptional due to Jared being extremely informative when going over the menu and wine options as well as being friendly throughout our dinner. The restaurant has a nice intimate vibe and there was a pianist playing while we waited and ate which was nice.

Crème Brûléebrulee

We had excellent service tonight Must gets 1. The scallops comes with 5 and a nice little sauce 2. Parker house rolls 3. Chilean sea bass 4. Seafood pasta *very large quantity Skip: 1. Over priced drinks 2. More expensive meats unless that's what you are there for The creme brulee was huge- worth getting

Very creamy crunchy sugary sweet topping.

Beautiful restaurant. Great servers friendly and attentive. Piano in the middle with live music a plus overall a great atmosphere for a date night or special occasion.

Caesar Salad

A jewel box restaurant on the top floor of the Morongo Casino and Resort! If you won a jackpot on the casino floor, make sure to spend your winnings at this steakhouse on the 27th floor of this resort. Food (4.5/5) For a steakhouse, you can expect your typical menu items here such as salads, bread service, seafood towers and steaks of course. My order here consisted of the Parker house rolls, Caesar salad, petite filet mignon, baked potato, and the warm butter cake. The filet was cooked exactly to my desired internal temperature. The Parker house rolls were a little overkill to order as they were incredibly rich, but still a decent choice. I was more surprised by the baked potato because they included so many toppings on the side to add to it. The butter cake is a true testament of a good steakhouse and it tasted the most similar to a Mastros butter cake which is almost the gold standard for me. Service (5/5) The employees at this restaurant were very accommodating from the hostess all the way to the waiters constantly refilling my water. Each table had an ice bucket table side with a glass jug of water in it so any service member could replenish a diners water throughout the meal. I thought this was an exceptional moment for the restaurant and aligned very closely to what is expected for a fine dining restaurant in my opinion. Ambiance (5/5) The experience starts navigating the casino floor to find the elevator to make your way up to the 27th floor of the Morongo Casino and Resort. Upon arrival, the view from this height is spectacular and showcases some of the best views of the San Jacinto mountains from an angle that you can't find anywhere else. The inside of the restaurant is more like a supervillain penthouse lair with the oversized floor to ceiling windows and a meticulously detailed ceiling. The chandeliers and the grand piano sets the tone for this restaurant and makes you truly feel like a high roller.

What is the dress code for women?

There isn't a gender specific dress code, I don't think anyone does that anymore. It was varied since it was at a casino from casual to more dressy but I'd say "smart casual" attire regardless of gender.

Do they accept walk ins or is it by reservation only?

Walk in is slim you'd be better off making a reservation. But I have walked in at opening and was seated at the bar.

What is your dress code?

Semi casual. No shorts, no sandals

Can I bring my own bottle of champagne to drink?

Yes you may we charge a $25 corkage fee for each bottle. We look forward to having you join us for dinner soon.

We were in the mood for some Japanese food and this place popped up so we headed on over! The street looked completely abandoned so it was a little weird. We luckily found parking right up front and were greeted by the lady bartender. She was chatting with a few guys at the bar but otherwise the place was empty for a Saturday night, maybe because it was still during the holidays. The music was loud but played some great classic r&b and hip hop songs. We walked to sit at the high tables at the back and Leslie, the bartender, came over to bring us water and menus. We ordered some small stuff, house dumplings and their crunchy roll to share. I guess I didn't read it properly but didn't expect the roll to be soy paper which wasn't a big deal at all! The crunchy tempura bits on the top were yummy and overall a solid roll but could barely finish it. The gyoza were great though! If someone felt they were treated rudely by a waitress, that doesn't mean everyone that walks in will be treated the same way by that or any member of the staff. Yet here I am writing one of those reviews, because the complete lack of management was appalling. And I had no real interpersonal issue with anybody, so what happened to me could happen to you. We invited a neighbor out to the fun new place in town called THE OVERLAND -- that we'd been dying to try. We tried to get reservations early Friday because it was a Friday night. But their website appeared broken. When you clicked MAKE RESERVATIONS, nothing happened. We even called but got no call backs. We show up at 6PM and get THE BIG SIGH. "Yeah, umm... SIGH... we're having a big party on the patio and our reservations are booked for the night... SIGH." I'm highlighting the SIGHS because the staff isn't supposed to SIGH at us at how hectic their life is. It's OUR place to SIGH at the staff for failing to properly warn us the place was already booked for the night. So they sit us at a long high top where you're kind of sharing your table with 12 other people. Luckily a sweet patron volunteered to move so that we could sit across from our neighbor and create the illusion of an actual table. Soon the attentive staff did show up to take a drink order, but with a SIGH and a grimace our wait person then broke the news that because of the large party out on the patio -- there would be no food for at least an hour. We should have been told that at the door, right? As to not raise a fuss we ordered drinks and they were pretty good. The music was nice. The thing is -- -- restaurants that have an artsy fancy hipster "vibe" twist pride themselves on not being chain restaurants. I celebrate that and I get that. But with this territory often comes this odd feeling that they have no clue how to run a restaurant. "We're trying our best" with a SIGH doesn't cut it after being in business more than a few months. All 'soft openings' must come to end, people. Some Pro Tips -- 1. If your website cannot take any additional reservations, it should indicate as much. To us, it simply appeared broken. You've been open for three years and this isn't fixed YET? 2. At the door, we needed to be told there's a big function and it might be better to come back another night. Or, even more professional -- 3. -- either close the entire restaurant for a 'Private Function' or 4. -- have additional kitchen staff ready to handle both the restaurant AND the large party. Sorry folks, but you made one lousy first impression. I'm at a loss to understand why there should be a second.
