Best cigar shop in LA. I could smoke at shops closer to my pad but CW has the best group of smokers and an incredible cigar selection. Eric, AKA Nalgón, the muscle bound manager (no steroids, contrary to popular belief), keeps the riff raff, idiots and moochers out and will go to any lengths to keep customers happy. Like any business, there are scumbags who try to infiltrate but damn if Eric doesn't sniff em out immediately and throw em the fuk out. If you got yelled at by Eric, shiiiiiit fool, you deserved it!! CW is huge, seating for 50, three enormous TVs, great coffee and, recently, a constant flow of Cuban coffee. We BBQ out back from time to time and have parties about once a month. Stop by this place soon, you will have a great time and end up with 100 new pals. read more

I was waiting to get my car repaired, and came across this lounge. Since my car was going to be in the shop for a few hours, I figured I could get plug in the laptop, and do some work while enjoying a couple of good smokes. As other reviewers have noted, the place is HUGE! The humidor has a ton of room so you can have a dozen shoppers in there and still not bump into one another. The selection is excellent, if they do not have your favorite there is sure to be something to your liking. I found the prices more than fair, and again selection was outstanding. Since I am not local, the private humidors would be of no interest, but they are very nice and in their own environment controlled room. The lounge area is broken up into 3 separate seating areas with PLENTY of room, so you can talk on the phone or chat with a friend without having to talk over other conversations. Not sure if it was the owner behind the register, but he was friendly, and did not bother me while I was browsing the humidor. If you are in the area, and have some time to enjoy a good smoke, or are looking for a good variety of cigars(and pipe tobacco and accessories), this is definitely a shop worth your time. read more

Pre-Covid Era Review: This place was so close to being awesome. The selection is great, the seats are nice, the clients were diverse, the space is wide open, but the customer service... Out of the various people working there, only 1 treated me with appreciation. The rest had a snobby, condescending tone as though I was lower class asking for spare change, or were annoyed to be taken away from their conversation to help, like it was a burden to tend to me. It may not look like much from the street, but step inside and be treated to a large spacious lounge with plenty of comfortable seating and wondefful easy listen music playing in the background. They have an amazing selection in their large humidor, but that's not all. They have some of the best none online prices you'll find in the Southland. Try Cigar Warehouse and you won't be disappointed. It's also close to some great eateries. Would have given 5 stars, but the staff person I spoke to was not very helpful. So, why am I giving the cigar Warehouse a two star rating? I smoke a pipe. After paying the ten dollar seat fee, I lit a bowl and began socializing with my friend. I was informed that pipe smoking was not allowed inside the lounge. The staff member couldn't explain the rationale for not allowing pipe smoking inside a smoking lounge beyond, "the owner doesn't want it." Soooo, I will not be back. I walked in and nobody greeted me, even though there was 5 employees behind one register laughing amongst themselves. They just stared at me when I walked in, like I was an intruder. I went into the cigar room to browse their selection, and the entire time my girlfriend said she felt uncomfortable because they were pointing and talking about us through the clear glass. Moments after picking out a cigar I wanted to buy, the owner Saed, instantly barged into the room and said I can't touch or smell what I'm not buying, not to mention he wasn't wearing a mask the entire time I was at his shop. He even told me girlfriend not to smell a cigar because of cigar restrictions, meanwhile he's in the room and his shop with no mask. I will never be back. STAY AWAY! Spend your money where you're valued as a customer. Many of my cigar aficionado friends told me that the Cigar Warehouse staff had an attitude problem. But I decided to give this place the benefit of the doubt. I went in there ready to buy cigars then sit and relax for a bit. I'm also looking to buy a larger humidor for my office. When I walked in I didn't receive a hello or welcome. No problem. I guess no greeting is better than the forced & generic "Welcome" scream that I get when I enter a Starbucks. I got in line to ask questions and to ask permission to enter the humidor. When the cashier employee finished up with a customer, he hunched right into his smartphone at the counter like most young people do. Perhaps checking his likes on Instagram is more important than greeting a client that spends thousands of dollars on premium cigars and accessories. When I walked up to the counter I asked about the private lockers that would keep my extra cigars in a great environment. Eric "the cashier with the tight shirt" said "He would NOT rent me one because he didn't know me." He explained that he can't have people walk in off the street, rent a locker and store their own cigars and smoke them in his store because "There is no money in that." I then asked...what if I'm primarily storing my favorite cigars that I bought there? He just asked if there was anything else I needed. Why offer $300-$400 per year lockers in the first place? I took a quick look inside the humidor and saw that most sticks were priced higher than other the other cigar shops nearby. I quickly I realized that my friends were right and got ready to walk out of the store. But I thought it was so strange that they would mistreat new clients because the store was pretty empty. I wanted to figure out why a storefront would not want to sell their product or service. I came up with a few options. Either Eric, the unenthusiastic employee was related to the owner and didn't want to be there. Therefore, he was retaliating with his family for forcing him to take a shift....by hurting sales. Or he was a Hollywood transplant wanting to to do the acting thing and his job is temporary so he didn't care about increasing new customers. Or these folks make their money behind the scenes in wholesale or by other means...so individual customers are not as important. Either way it's bad. I wanted to like this place because I live right up the hill from this shop...but I will drive further and happily spend my money somewhere else where I get a friendly smile, better prices, and no attitude. read more

I walked into this place and was impressed with the size of the humidor and the amount of cigars they had on stock... Unfortunately...that is where it ended. I was COMPLETELY ignored by both of the people that worked there. I must of spent around 15 minutes looking at all of the cigars and both of the workers came in at different times. Not to help me find cigars...but they looked at me like i was trying to steal something. Oh wait...the owner or manager (who ever was in charge) did say something to me... he said "the crickets are loud in here". What does that have to do with Customer Service. Times have changed. The days of cigar shoppe owners who chat to you about anything and everything are gone here. Probably a reason why Larry'd sold the place. What's left is a shell. It's not terrible, it's just impersonal. The new ownership seems...distant. Not that I want a hug when I come in, but part of the joy of hanging in a place like this is that everyone had a story to tell. Listening to old crusty dude stories is fascinating. As is hearing the aches and pains of growing into middle age. Fathers would bring sons here. I get it, it's business. However, I went to get pipe tobacco. And was quickly dismissed by questions I would ask. No one had any clue what each one was, or cared. Therefore, wouldn't dream of wasting their time walking me through it. That's what it's become. Just found this place on my way to a meeting in the valley. I did not really check it out, because I was in a hurry but it's big and it seems like a great place to chill and have a smoke. Great selection of cigars and all the ones I got smoked great. The Cigar Warehouse is under new ownership. Since the new ownership, the Cigar Warehouse's humidor has totally revamped their stock of cigars and cleaned up the humidor of the empty boxes of old. The variety of cigars has been stepped up and all the prices are reasonable imo. When I went in there today they had some hard to find items such as Liga Privada No.9 (all vitolas), various sizes of Arturo Fuente Anejos, a box of Lost City Opus X and the new Papas Fritas from Drew Estates. Update: 6/17/2013 Ever since the new ownership the stock and variety of cigars here has exploded, it almost seems like a different place since my review, seriously just come in and check out the variety. read more

Great lounge! Massive area, super clean, and excellent service. They don't have alcoholic drinks, but they do have sodas and sparkling water. That's good enough for me. Their Padron selection and price points are second to none. Everything was perfect. I think this may be the new spot. Right across from the Sherman Oaks Galleria! This is a great hang out, after dinner, after movie, before whatever or just for the fun of it kind of place. Can't recommend more. 10/10! read more

OK people, you have to come by and see the new place as it is out of this world. I told Saiid (the owner) that it is like I would imagine a cigar lounge in Heaven would look! The only difference is that in Heaven, the cigars are free and all Cuban. The construction is 100% complete in the front main area, bathrooms and humidor, but a few odds and ends to pick up. They have two new TV's one is a 70" and the other is a 60" with direct TV and wifi. Jazz music is piped in too when the TV's are off. I believe this is the nicest, finest cigar shop in all of California IMHO read more

This lounge is a great example of what a cigar lounge should look like. Not only is the humidor big but it is well stocked. A great selection of brands and priced very reasonable. They also have a good selection of accessories. I was greeted by the owner, who very friendly and knowledge. My other half wanted to have a cigar so we went here to buy cigars & to hang out & smoke. Good selection of cigars. I bought 2 tins he bought a cigar. We sat down in their huge lounge to smoke them. Free coffee too. Tv's on the walls & very comfortable couches. You sink right in. Stayed for quite some time smoking, playing on our phones & talking. It was pretty packed & at this time I was the only woman. The best part was that some other cigar lounges are only for members this one is for everyone. Would definitely come back. Great place but is never opened at 10am like it says on yelp page. I've learned my lesson waiting for them to open so have tried to delay my arrival to 1030am and still not open, then another day at 1055am and waited until 1115am and still not opened. Change your times on yelp page or get someone else to open store on a timely basis. When it IS opened I love it! read more

Larry Wagner, prior owner of the Cigar Warehouse, sold his business to Seyeed (sp), who also owns Fair Oaks cigars in Pasadena. The new owner has done a complete renovation of the place! Beautiful hardwood floors, a big screen tv, classy leather chairs and sofas, and the humidor has been completely remodeled and still features a vast selection of brands that are very price competitive. The place is beautiful! I heartily recommend Cigar Warehouse as a great place to visit both as a store and lounge. read more
