The most disgusting tofu I have ever tasted. Vietnamese restaurants do braised lemongrass tofu for a reason, it's delicious. Raw, bland, uncooked, maple tofu? First off, parking is very limited. We thought it would be packed due to the packed and lack of parking spaces but hardly anyone was there around 3pm on a Sunday. The ribs noodle was very greasy and not much meat on the bones. The soup was very salty and sweet if that's your liking. The summer rolls were large and very fresh. The "slushy " boba drink is good. Cilantro Noodle provided a phenomenal takeout experience. I ordered the vermicelli noodles with the lemongrass pork - the seasoning on the pork was to die for! My boyfriend ordered a fried rice bowl with beef, also very tasty. I wasn't the biggest fan of their egg rolls, but the spring rolls were crispy and fresh. Amazing Pho Ga (pho with shredded chicken). The beef broth was sweet and savory, tasted like it was made with love! I was having some severe stomach issues (flare up) and I ordered the pho because I basically could only eat broth, some noodles and chicken. Me and my kids went for lunch and I had a grilled pork banh mi sandwich which was excellent. The kids had chicken nuggets and fries which they liked. My sandwich had the right amount of meat and I put some hot sauce on it to make it a little spicy. I will be going back for this sandwich again. read more

If you know how to make authentic pho or have had authentic pho, you know this restaurant is nothing close to authentic. Salty with water, no beef broth taste. Same with their BBH, no flavor. We finally tried this place after months of talking of trying them, mainly because of COVID we haven't been eating out much. We finally did and were quite impressed. For starters, they offer a wide variety of options and it is completely customizable. You can build your own noodle bowl or bahn mi, which is cool. The entire time we were in there, we felt quite good about Covid precautions. All the staff was wearing masks and they had self-ordering kiosks. We were given an order number, and then got a text when it was ready. Our food was good. My husband had a bahn mi and I had a bahn mi and soup combo. We also tried the wings which were amazing! Everything was taken to-go. The only thing I wish they had done was marked the bahn mi with the names on the wrappers because we could not figure out which was which. I recommend ordering online since everything is made to order and it'll be a bit quicker or if you do it in person, you can order at the counter or using a self service kiosk. The staff is super friendly and helpful if you have any questions. My goto are the customized fresh rolls with their peanut sauce and the vermicelli bowls with their house fish sauce. I lean toward the veggies and will usually add peanuts for crunch and jalapeños for the spice but I always switch it up based on how I'm feeling. Cilantro Noodle was a pleasant surprise! With so many good Vietnamese and pho shops in Charlotte, I was concerned that one designed on a fast casual model wouldn't be satisfying. But I was wrong! You get to select your base (vermicelli noodles or rice), bowl size (regular or large), protein (pork, chicken, tofu, etc), toppings (choose 5) and sauce (choose 2). The staff were helpful in providing recommendations. You could also choose to use the iPads to order if you knew what you wanted ahead of time. The pork was definitely more appetizing than the chicken. It also paired well with pineapple that's a topping choice. The pork egg roll (free with yelp check-in!) was more filling than the veggie spring roll. The sauces were good as well, though I wish there was one with a strong vinegar/fish sauce tangy flavor like you usually get with bun at a Vietnamese restaurant. The portion sizes were also good for the price, which was just over $10 per person including the egg rolls. I had leftovers for the next day, which was great as a chilled noodle salad. Best fast-casual dining for pho I've ever had. I can't say I've tried many, but Cilantro Noodle definitely deserves a 5 star review when you think about the business overall (menu options, flavor, price, customer service, and atmosphere). It's a smaller space in plaza midwood area, but when you enter there are kiosks to order on or I believe you can order up front at the counter too. The menu is displayed front and center in very easy-to-understand language and the prices are on par. We fed a family of 6 plus appetizers and tip for basically $115...that's kind of amazing. You pick your own seat and your food will be brought out by the staff, who do not really bother you and let you be, unless you need something. The flavor of the pho was actually VERY tasty and better than some traditional restaurants'. I was super surprised they had managed to capture all of the traditional flavors of the complex, hours-simmered pho broth. Also, did you see the short rib inside the pho bowl?? The meat was literally detaching from the bone so cleanly because that's how amazing they cooked it.
