I have always really liked the tacos and burritos at Cinco de Mayo. They are basic, but high quality and delicious. Recently we had a party at work for a co-worker who is retiring and moving to Mexico. We thought tacos would be a fun food for the party so we ordered 3 dozen from Cinco de Mayo. I was very pleased with the price, the service, and the delicious tacos. They are about $17 per dozen. They wrapped them securely and even helped me carry them out to the car. All the tacos were totally intact when I arrived, which is a testament to their wonderful packing job. I will definitely order from Cinco de Mayo next time I need to feed a lot of people, or the next time I feel like eating a delicious taco. read more

Great food, great prices. Their salsas and sauces are my favorite. I always get a wet BCR, simple but flavorful. I'm not a simple eater, I usually experiment, try new things, and eat rich tasting foods (lots of flavor and character). But I find myself craving their wet BCR every time. This evening I had called to place a pickup order, I was placed on hold for about 5 minutes which I can understand if you're busy. At this point the service experience is still recoverable. Here's where it went wrong.I placed an order for 2 Fiesta burritos, one wet and a small side of rice with chips and salsa. The burritos which I repeated back 2x and the young lady on the phone confirmed were supposed to have everything on it, guacamole sour cream cheese and onions(EVERYTHING). When I got home the burritos were cold, I only live right down the street so they should have still be hot and they had no guacamole, sour cream, onion, or cheese. This is the second time in a row that the food has been bad and not even close to what was ordered. read more

Not a fan, mad I wasted my $$. I ordered the asada nachos got the nachos, no meat. Ordered burrito took a bite and it's still in the bag along with half of the nachos. The positive, the lady was nice!!!! I'll try another place if I ever come back to visit. read more

Love it! I have tried their cheese enchiladas, crunchy and soft tacos. Staff is really nice and the food is amazing! I was not a very big fan of their soft tacos but they're crunchy tacos, enchiladas, rice, beans, chips, and salsa are all amazing. Will definitely return! read more

I have iven this lace about 10 chances. This place just keeps getting worse. Everytime I order a chicken burrito with only pinto beans, sour cream, cheese, and rice. I am always very specific and repeat it several times. But of course once again no sour cream, there are tomatoes and onions with lettace on my burrito. This is one of my favorite places to eat. Unfortunately they have a nasty habit of not answering their phones to take to-go orders. My Family and I love their traditional shredded chicken and Carne Asada Burritos with Black Beans, add sour cream. They are just the right size, always hot, and the staff always gets my order right. The place is always clean and the staff are polite thorough. I live in Pittsburg but work in Martinez. I am not a fan of Mexican food, and try to avoid Mexican restaurants like the plague, but I LOVE Cinco de Mayo. My favorite are the ground beef enchiladas (their sauce is too die for). Their chicken tortilla soup is fabulous, and the carnitas are excellent as well. Quick service, great prices. read more

I'm glad that we live a few blocks from this place because we're frequent diners- we always get the samething. Their Salsa is killer!! Its really good and perfect for me (mild) I've bought their salsa and chips for parties and everyone loves it- i jokingly try to take the credit for it being my creation but Cinco De Mayo deserves it and I recommend this restaurant to family and friends. Love love love Cinco!! Whenever I'm craving authentic mexican, this hits the spot. I usually get their giant burrito with all the fixin's (can't remember what it's called...maybe fiesta burrito?) and sometimes I'll just get tacos. Most would compare it to the famous Los Panchos and I have to say it might be better. Their burritos and tacos just have more stuff in them and thats what I like. Plus, you don't have to wait as long. I wish they were open later than 9, I'll drive home from school some nights and REALLY crave a burrito but no dice. Great take out. Carnitas plate with extra tortillas big enough for 2. But the special crispy tacos with chicken are outstanding. The salsa is only o.k. Ask for extra pica de gallo instead. Hands down one of my top five favorite places to eat in my hometown! I always look forward to having a bean and cheese or veggie burrito when I visit home from Davis where I go to school. The food is so inexpensive for the portion, especially compared to Davis, Mexican food is at least two dollars more there, boo! Everyone that works here is nice and the service is generally pretty good even during lunch and dinner rush. You can call ahead though and place your order before you get there to speed it up. The only downside is the space issue. Parking is limited to a small lot and sometimes it can be a tight squeeze to get in or out during lunch or dinner rush so it's best to park on the street during those times. Also, if it's crowded there's not a lot of space when you're waiting for your food; I've often found myself in the way of people getting soda or salsa. But the good outweighs the bad by a long shot so I highly recommend you try this place! read more
