I have had nothing but wonderful experiences at Cinco Ranch vet with my dog Amelia Bedelia since moving to them a few months ago. They work hard to get me a timely appointment, and in an emergency situation, found a way to squeeze us in within 15 minutes of me calling, after a weekend at the dog ER. I really appreciated their support at a scary time. Dr Hibler is incredibly thorough in explaining treatment, and I never feel rushed. His allergy recommendations have been a game changer after a year of ineffectual treatments. The entire staff from front desk to vet techs are welcoming and friendly, and you can just tell they enjoy pets. Not sure what is up with the other reviews. Warning! You will pay $1700.00 for an upset stomach. High Pressure pushy sales by the Vet. Said it could be fatal if no x-rays, blood work and over night stay. & since it's later in the day there's an extra charge for the radiologists to read the x-Ray! Even though there's no staff there at night to watch them)! Not sure where she got her credentials from but all other vets I've taken our babies to can read x-rays! After scaring my husband so much he decided to leave our pup. I said no stop saying that. None of that will happen. This has happened before. We just need meds for the night so we can go to our vet In the morning. Our dog gets an upset stomach once in a while. A friend referred us here. We told her she felt horrible apologized profusely and said if she knew we were gonna get racked through the coals and lied to like that she would have never referred us. Our normal vet was not happy, gave us some extra meds to have on hand if they are closed and said a bottle of Pepto Bismol is a lot cheaper. He even apologized to us and it totally wasn't his fault. He said he loves our baby and knows we take good care of him. You have been warned. read more

I was sent here from CAP for my new kitten. We made an appointment for our first exam and while waiting for that appointment we noticed URI symptoms over the weekend with our kitty. When we mentioned these concerns and showed videos of the episodes he was having multiple times it was brushed off with no concern even after telling the doctor it has gotten worse. We trusted them and tried to let it go, but I felt like something was wrong. I called, texted, and emailed multiple times with concerns and was told I would get a vet to call me back each time with no call for three days straight. I finally got fed up today and decided to go back to CAP and have him evaluated where they immediately diagnosed a URI and provided the proper medications. I am VERY disappointed with the lack of communication, understanding, and professionalism here. I have worked with animals, shelter and vet settings, so I understand how common URI's are, but if someone else just let it go thinking it were normal not knowing better who knows if their pet should be okay. I am writing this in hopes that the doctors will strive to listen to their patients better without dismissing their concerns. The front desk and vet techs were amazing. Super kind and very communicative. I'm not super happy with the $70 fee for a fecal, but with a free first exam I can't complain too much about that. As nice as the staff is I have to give the vet 1 star review because my dog has repeatedly come back from doctor visits with diarrhea! The first time was after he received his full shots. There was no warning from the vet and the diarrhea's lasted DAYS until I took him back to the vet to spend another $100 for medication. When I expressed my concern the vet they stated the shots couldn't be the reason why. Okay then what?! What are YOU doing? Fast forward to this week I took my puppy in for a grooming and he is back to diarrhea after coming back AGAIN!!! I have an 80 pound Great Dane puppy picking up soft serve horse sized poo all around my home is NOT ENJOYABLE stop giving dogs diarrhea! I will no longer choose this place for my pets need, the risk is too great! It's clearly something that is being done only when he comes THERE! Never again!!!!!! It's 3am and I just had to wake up and clean pounds of poop just because I got him groomed with you people. I was better off washing him myself In the tub! read more

I keep my sons dogs while. My wife and I watch our grandchildren often so we wanted to make sure that they were safe. After our initial visit and blood test were done. My son picked up the dogs. I attempted to have the payments adjusted to no avail. $120 have been taken from my account. This is crazy, they mentioned testing that was never done. This care plan business is a trap! read more

DO NOT take your pet to Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital. My dog's blood work panel was not properly diagnosed which negatively affected my dog's health, which resulted in going to two Emergency Veterinarian clinics and having to pay well over $3,000 dollars in fees for further testing and lab results. Our dog was very lethargic, she didn't have an appetite, and her nose was very warm and dry to the touch. We were very concerned, so we scheduled an appointment at Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital. The appointment was scheduled with Dr. Cara Longshore. Upon arrival we explained to Dr. Longshore all of the behaviors our dog was exhibiting due to not feeling good. Dr. Longshore did an evaluation and said that my dog had a slight fever, had gingivitis, heavy tarter buildup and she recommended a blood panel be taken and the cost would be up to $400.00 dollars to have it done in-house. When the blood panel came back Dr. Longshore briefly went over the panel, and said something on the bloodwork we don't recall was elevated and it's common for older dogs. We left the veterinarian hospital with a diagnosis of periodontal disease and grade 3 atopy, but no explanation on why my dog was lethargic, having a fever, and not having an appetite. We also had an estimate close to $1,000 dollars on a teeth cleaning that was recommended. No antibiotics were prescribed. Over the weekend my dog was still lethargic, not eating normally and her fever had gone up extensively. It was obvious my dog was dealing with an infection. With most veterinarian offices having short business hours on Saturday and closed on Sunday we ended up going to an emergency vet clinic on Sunday. They Veterinarian prescribed antibiotics and pain medication. On Monday we went to another Veterinarian office to have a dental evaluation done on her teeth. We had told the Doctor we had gone to Cinco Ranch Veterinarian Hospital because my dog wasn't feeling well, and a blood panel was performed. We also told the doctor we ended up at an emergency vet clinic on Sunday because my dog had a high fever and was still feeling lethargic and antibiotics and pain medicine were prescribed to my dog. The doctor needed to see the blood panel from Cinco Ranch to make sure everything was normal before scheduling a teeth cleaning. The doctor saw the blood panel from Cinco Ranch Veterinarian Hospital and became very concerned and informed us that he needed to run another blood panel because he saw that my dog had a very low neutrophils count (white blood cells) and called it severe neutropenia. After running the blood panel in-house my dog's neutrophils count was much lower than before and her platelet count was low. The doctor was extremely alarmed and informed us that our dog needed immediate veterinarian emergency care where they can perform the proper tests to find out what is causing the low neutrophils count and that we might need to stay overnight because my dog's condition has worsened. We were very scared and upset that we might lose our dog because her condition got much worse. After going to the veterinarian emergency clinic and running all the tests, they prescribed another broad-spectrum antibiotic to go along with the other antibiotic prescribed the previous day to fight my dog's severe infection. We feel that Dr. Longshore misdiagnosed and failed to disclose the low neutrophils count on my dog's blood panel results, and that proper care and treatment was not given due to the fact my dog's condition deteriorated. read more

I have a difficult cat. She gets groomed once a year since she has needed sedation to complete the task. When I made an appointment the staff said the groomer was a cat whisperer. Shared may not need sedation. I just knew my cat would need to be sedated from previous experiences BUT... Travis is truly a cat whisperer!! First time she was groomed without sedation. I actually was told what a sweet cat I had from Travis - again first time. Highly recommend Cinco Ranch. Best experience I've had in years. read more

Honestly. I'd recommend finding somewhere else. This place is cool until you actually need something. They refuse to email me my pets prescription, continued to give me the run around and absolutely insist that you pickup in person so that they can try and sell you. My go-to boarding place closed their doors rather abruptly and I found myself in a last-minute scramble needing to find a trustworthy place to watch my two girls for 4 days. This clinic was recommended by Camp Bow Wow who couldn't book us for a personality interview on such short notice. When I called in, I spoke with their receptionist, Jay, who was lovely over the phone. She explained what was included with their "Luxury Suite" that would hold my girls comfortably. They would get walked 3 times a day plus an added 15 min of extra play time, have 24/7 camera access to their rooms and get exit-baths for pick up. I was told that they needed full exams since it was their 1st visit and their Influenzas vaccine for boarding. The Vet walked in over 20-min late to our scheduled time. Although she was very informative on the list of issues my 13 yr old girl, Jordan, suffers from, I didn't feel very welcomed by her. Jordan has Arthritis and Hip Dysplasia and I explained how she shows signs of discomfort when laying on hard floors or rugs at our home. They ran additional tests on her as well and I was told they'd reach out to me with their findings. I never received a call. The exam and vaccine alone were an additional $112 for each girl! I then requested to see the room where the girls would stay, since it wasn't offered by the staff. Their Vet Tech, Cody, looked at me puzzled. Do dog parents not ask to see the space their dogs will be staying? The room looked clean and was a good size. I brought their home bedding for them, food, and anxiety medication for India that was specified to be given on an as-needed-basis. At this point, my est. bill for the boarding and vet visit was well over $700! Over the weekend, I noticed the girls no longer had their bedding and were sleeping on thin blankets on the floor. I assumed that beds were removed during the day and returned later, but then noticed the girls' slept without them that night. I waited for the next night to see what happened. Again, no beds. Pick up day, I was looking in on the girls at 8:00am. Jordan was walking around and India was pacing. Jordan then urinated in the middle of the room. These are 13 and 4 yr old dogs who have been boarded/socialized/kennel trained for their entire lives and have NEVER had an accident indoors. I watched for staff to return to their room; they never showed. I called the clinic to ask about take-out times and to alert them of Jordan's accident. I was told they'd been taken out at 7:15am. If Jordan had completed her morning duties outside, there was no reason for her accident indoors within 45 min of. I asked about their missing beds and was told they had been "soiled in urine" and were being washed. These girls have chewed up beds before, but never urinated on them! Especially if they've been let out 3/day with an added 15 min of playtime. How has it taken over 2 days to wash/dry 2 dog bed covers the size of pillow shams? They said their dryers were backed up. These covers could have dried outdoors w/in hours if anyone there actually cared about the girls' comfort, especially the senior one with Arthritis. My info was taken and their manager was to call me to discuss. That call was never received, and the girls got their beds back within a half hour of hanging up. I got there around 3:00pm and asked to speak with the manager who never called. When she came out, she didn't introduce herself and started explaining why the girls didn't have their beds. She was clueless when I told her it was so much more than that. Not receiving follow-up test results, Jordan urinating in the room, no bedding for half of their stay, no follow-up call from management as promised, and all before expecting me to pay almost $800! The blank stare on her face clearly showed she couldn't care less about my frustrations. I even asked if she was a dog owner because the look on her face was so emotionally disconnected I couldn't tell if she really cared or gave a damn. She said "dogs have accidents all the time and this isn't concerning to them", even if the dog is fully trained. I explained to her that as a 1st time customer if I call concerned about my dogs well-being, I'm not looking for it to be brushed off simply because you don't share my feelings. Her proposed resolution to this was to "have a talk with her techs". I later found out that the Anxiety meds were administered incorrectly bc they noted my directions wrong. A girl came out and said that the beds weren't urinated on but had mud tracked on them instead. The entire visit was alarming. Food was still in some bags, not all dental treats had been given, I'm 99% sure they didn't get exit-baths and I had to ask for compensation. Bill was still over $700. This manager also mocked me by telling another customer that they'd "Eff'd up b/c of no beds". Way to go lady! Minimizing your customer's concerns is awesome service! If you are not an established ATM..sorry client, then good luck getting quality service. They judge you as soon as you walk in the door to see if they think you can pay their exorbitant prices, and if they deem you lacking they treat you like excrement. I took my dog in on a Saturday afternoon because she was having seizures. This was the first time she had seizures and they were the closest vet..and I use that term loosely. I am in my 20's but look significantly younger and I was dressed in flip flops, t-shirt, and basketball shorts. I do in the neighborhood directly behind the facility because I make a crap load of money. However, they decided I couldn't afford them, or I was not worth their time for some other reason. The young lady behind the desk told me that all the "Drs" were busy and couldn't look at my dog until after closing..at least 7 hours away. I was told that there would, of course, be an emergency charge on top of everything and that any results I could get the following morning or Monday. One of the "Drs" was standing behind the receptionist and though they heard the whole incident stood there in silent indifference and watched me try to get treatment for my dog who was lying limp in my arms. Needless to say I did not use their services. My dog did recover with the help and caring of a genuine animal lover whose love and passion for animals is apparent, and was only a little farther down the road. read more

My 10 lb Dachshund ate some of my leftover fried onion. I checked online and it was poisonous. I called and asked the clinic if I needed to bring her in. I told them I just spent $200 at the vet and only want to come in if she is actually in danger. They told me to feed her 5ml of hydrogen peroxide and that if she wouldn't throw up we needed to bring her in. After frantically driving to get hydrogen peroxide I sat terrified as my dog dry heaved in the parking lot before laying down trembling and yelping. We rushed her over to the clinic as she wouldn't throw up and was now obviously very uncomfortable. When we got there they had us wait for about 5 minutes before telling us that she hadn't eaten near enough to cause any problems nor to even justify forcing her to vomit. They advised me to make my dog sick so that they could make money when I came in so they could tell me she was going to be fine. I told them she had eaten 20-25g of onion while we were on the phone. They insisted she must throw it up. When we got there the vet said she would have needed to eat hundreds of grams to have it cause any meaningful damage. I guess once they have your dog and your money there is no reason to continue lying. May I suggest everyone find a vet who puts the health and happiness of the animals over their greed. read more

I love this place! I have been coming here for almost 9 years and all the doctors and staff have been awesome, knowledgeable and kind. They are great with my pups and always treat us like we are a part of the family. I use them for all my pets needs. All 3 of their veterinarians are great and they will squeeze you into the schedule even when they are fully booked, which is always nice for those last minute things. Awesome groomers and an awesome boarding facility that I trust 100% with carrying for my aging babies. They also have an expansive online pharmacy, which allows me to autoship my pets foods and supplements so I don't have to worry about running out to the store. My pups love greenies and I was surprised I could get them online with them as well. It's always great to support local and they are definitely a one stop shop with top notch service. read more

I'm not sure about the negative reviews. I've got 2 Shiba Inus and we've been going here since moving to Katy. I've had cats, dogs, cows, and horses for most of my life. Everything here is on the up and up. Some services might cost a little more than my country vet, but my country vet doesn't have to pay for Cinco MUD and Katy ISD. All the equipment, staff, doctors, and facilities are up to date and top notch. They're also friendly, compassionate, and understanding. I've seen quite a few people check in and out on busy days and I can't remember seeing one bad experience. TL;DR - You can go here and be assured they will take excellent care of your pet. I have been bringing my puppy here since she was about 10 weeks old. I must say the staff treats her as though she is their puppy! they get excited to see her when she walks in and make it a point to try and play with her! Becky is her groomer and is the best at what she does! My pup always looks her finest after seeing Ms. Becky! I knew about this place because my parents took all of our pets there when I was younger, now 10-15 years later I'm back in the Houston area and needed someone I could trust with my own fur baby. These people really do treat your pet like their own, so loving and patient. I've always had great experiences here and will be trusting them with my pets as long as I'm in the area. Absolutely the worst customer service! I had been a customer of theirs for 10 years!!! I have spent thousands and thousands of dollars with them! I have 8 pets of my own and always have fosters pets. Took a 5 day of orphaned kitten there to have it put down as it was dying. They charged me 170$ and would not negotiate. Just unbelievable!!!!!!!!!! In addition, the front office staff has been very difficult to deal with! NOT FRIENDLY WHATSOEVER. So so so disappointed in the way they have handled us leaving their clinic. I emailed Dr. Steven Hibler probably 3 times before he ever responded. I wrote to him explaining that over last year or so, his clinic was not meeting our needs and would like to discuss our concerns. FINALLY, 5 weeks later we get a letter saying he hopes we find another veterinarian we are happy with!!!! TEN YEARS OF LOYALTY TO HIS CLINIC AND HE DID NOT EVEN TRY TO CALL US. LOOSING OUR BUSINESS, OBVIOUSLY, WAS NOT A CONCERN TO HIM. He must be doing very very well to just throw away a client that has 8 pets. So so disappointed and hurt. read more

We had three adopted cats (Vodka, Tequila and Mahotai), all of which have been cared for by the awesome personnel and doctors at Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital. The doctors are very, patient, understanding, and takes the time to answer all of our questions. Sadly our oldest cat, Vodka, had tumors all over her body and the doctors did everything in their power to comfort her, but the true is that she was so sick that we decided to put her to sleep. They were very supportive and kind with us, they explained the whole process and gave us time to say good bye to our cat. They also send us a card signed for all the personnel expressing their condolences and letting us know that we will be fine. Now we adopted a tiny, funny, crazy-happy dog and we named him Mojito, the cats love him, and he is definitely going to be the next patient at Cinco Ranch Veterinary Hospital. If you need a great vet that takes the time to really talk things thru and makes sure your animals are well cared for, then this is the place for you. read more

They all were up to date with vaccinations at the time We asked them to update our youngest one he was 6 months old "Morkie " Kennel cough vaccine on his first visit back in April 11 th and we were told they did it and everyone is good to go! My 2 Pomeranian dogs never been sick until we got to Houston . I was told One of them got allergy which it's common in Tx he was loosing his hair (And after 5 months we found out it was skin problem and was nothing to do with allergy) I brought all of my kiddos after I saw good FAKE reviews about this place long story short from March to September I was going off and on to them because he was not getting any better We strongly were told some pets in Houston are like this and never get over it!!! after first 3 months I found out they never put in his chart he was there already back in March!!!! Then the Cara Longshore, DVM start it seeing him she said get this $400 blood work to find out what exactly it is wrong with him I asked are you going to find out 100% after this test she said Yes!!!So we did it!!! A month later I was asked to do skin test which was another $360 charge I got upset because he was on antibiotics since March off and on and now was September each visit even a week apart for the same problem I was asked to go and was getting at least $70 charged of course + Medication! And he wasn't getting better until I asked her to give her the antibiotics injection! Now let's go back to our Morkie we scheduled him to be fixed Tuesday days after Thanksgiving 2016 and we were told the cost it will be more less $560 which sounds very high for that surgery! and keep it in mind he suppose to get his Kennel cough vaccine back in April 11/2016 in his 1 st visit there! The day of surgery they said he is due to get one of his vaccine!!! We agreed to do it if won't harm him but they didn't say which one since he just turned 1 we thought ok uts his yearly vaccination time! after surgery he was not himself he was scared of everything hiding and not being happy boy which he was before he turned out to different puppy and they said it's normal now I'm thinking he may worked up in the middle of surgery!i don't know!!!! 5 days after his surgery he start it having breathing problem at night I called next morning and they said Bering him here ASAP we did then Dr Tanya Brown DVM said it's normal and he is looking for attention!!! She took his temperature and my puppy got uncomfortable you know what dr said very mean to him ? Don't be a baby!!! Im not sure if someone told dr brown the same thing before and that's how she learned to talk like that or not!anywayI said the way he is breathing it looks like he is chocking! She said no it's normal for small dogs to do this! For next 2 weeks he was doing the same and not getting better until my Pomeranians started breathing/ coughing just like my Morki!!!! At this time I was sure they aren't copying him!!!!!! And they were not looking for attention!!! I took all 3 of them to another vet and guess what?! They all have Kennel cough!!!! This place doing boarding as well as they have grooming and they are vet hospital! They didn't vaccine my Morkie on time as they didn't do my poms . My Pomeranians are 5 years old and never been behind if any vaccine when we moved here they even gave them flu vaccine which they never had and not Kennel coughs vaccines! Today was the last day that I take my business to Cinco Ranch Veterinary. We have been using Connie's Groom and Board for years, but they have recently gone out of business. So, in need of boarding for my small dog, I boarded him at Cinco Ranch Veterinary over a long weekend. They were explicitly authorized only to board my dog...no shots, no lab work, no other "care" is to be administered (We take our dog to a VERY trusted veterinarian who is on Westheimer Parkway just east of the Grand Parkway for his care). We arrive on Monday to pick him up...and "surprise"! My dog suddenly has ticks (we haven't seen any ticks on him lately). WIthout any communication to us or prior authorization, they treated our dog for ticks and charged us $50+. This is not a lot of money, but this is entirely consistent with their sneaky tactics in the past (or maybe I should say "tack-ticks"! ;)) We too have been snowed by the "flu" treatment, as well as other over-dosing for preventive diseases, for which our dog had already been treated at another vet practice. Unfortunately, our vet does not provide grooming or boarding, thus we have to seek these services elsewhere. This isn't the first time that this sort of thing has happened with vets in our area, so we are more vigilant now on where we take our dog. It is unfortunate that these vets have to scheme and manipulate people into paying for unnecessary services. read more

We have been taking our Maltese to this facility for over 12+ years. We have received good care and grooming for most of this time until recently. We recently decided to start boarding our pet their and have paid extra to have a larger room with a camera. We provided her small bed from home and the technician placed her bed where we could not see her. Since it was a Saturday and Sunday night stay there was nobody available to talk to for them to move the bed for us to see her. One benefit to boarding is that they give the dog a bath and we specifically mentioned that they should not clean her eyes since she gets anxious, as they noted in her previous grooming appointments. We then receive a call on Monday after her bath that she's panting and they are concerned for her health and that we should at a minimum have an x-ray done, which came out with no issues. This additional cost would have been avoided if they had listened to us or looked back on their own grooming records. After paying $650 ($90 for boarding) we expressed our frustration with the boarding (camera) and the lack of listening to our direction when we dropped her off. We spoke to the owner, the vet caring for her, and the groomer and they all feel like it is our problem and they refuse to take ownership of the issue. This is the first time I have ever written a Yelp review however there are more caring and reputable places to take your pets. read more

I have 3 mini doxies, 2 who have required back surgery, no fault of the vet, just the risk you take with doxies. Dr. Brown and Dr. Longshore both helped me get to the doctor that was necessary to do surgery. Now when the pups are acting odd with their legs, I call and get in right away. We also kennel with hospital. I know there are lots of other places that might be cheaper, but I want someone who knows my pups and is careful with their back issues. I have been with CRVH probably since they first opened (or close to it) with our Lab Mix. Always see the same faces and talk to the same people. No turnover here. I needed my dogs cyst removed. It started bleeding from him scratching it and I called the cinco ranch vet that morning. They got him in within the hour and did the precedes that day. Amazing service and very informative and caring for my fur baby. I highly recommend this place. read more

The vets, technicians, receptionists, groomer and kennel staff at Cinco Ranch are some of the kindest animal lovers I've ever had the pleasure of knowing. I have been coming to them for a few years now. The entire staff spends as much time as needed answering any of my stupid questions. They are very knowledgeable with every aspect of animal care. The office always makes a follow up phone call a day or two after each visit to make sure the pet is doing well after their appointment. When my pup was last sick it took a while for him to feel better - they where able to walk me through checking the gums and letting me know I should bring him back in so we can get some fluids in him. He bounced back quickly after getting hydrated. It is very nice to be able to make one appointment for all of my pets for their wellness trips and I save money on exams when doing so - but that might be because I have 3 pups and they know having multiple animals can be expensive. When I bring my dogs in we always feel welcomed and the dogs get so much loving and treats, which are actually vitamins. The techs go out of their way to get down on the dog's level and let them lick their faces and give them lots of belly rubs. You can tell they all care so much about their patients. I have also boarded my dogs here on multiple occasions. I love that my pups are able to stay in the same kennel when boarding. We always try to board in luxury because it is quieter and they are fit for a king. The kennel staff does a great job of noticing any problems and reporting them to a technician who typically calls me if it is something awful like diarrhea caused by stress of being away from home. I am glad they come back to me happy and healthy every time. The groomer does a great job! She always seems to get exactly what I want every time without fail. I've really enjoyed having Cinco Ranch as a resource for my dogs (who are basically members of my family). I highly recommend this vet office for any of your pets needs. read more

OK, I read the other Yelp reviews of this vet and I was worried. But it was Friday at 5PM, I just got home and my dog was sick. She was (see the WAS) a tea cup yorki. Yes she was a diabetic who for a day had diarria and was throwing up. I brought she in and the Vet said she had pancreatitis and high glucose. She should stay over night and get fluids, antibiotics, and insulin. $500.00 that day. The next day I pick her up Saturday at 1PM (another $250.00). When we called at 1000 am her glucose had came down from 600 to 275. I know not good but much better. Somehow, her glucose was back up to 600 when we picked her up, but she didn't eat anything that day. We were told we can keep her there on Sunday and they would come in to the clinic 3 times and check all of the dogs boarded there and her. So we decided to bring her home. We got instructions to feed her at 7PM and give her insulin, fluids, and come back on Monday. Well, we brought her home gave her insulin just like we had for the last 2 years. She died in my wife's hands with my two little children watching 2 hours later. Merry Christmas to us. One weeks pay gone and our dog gone. I look at the itemized bill I got on Saturday and there is no insulin charges and the antibiotic listed the internet says it is for skin infections. Very disappointed. We brought our dog in because she has been licking herself a lot and we figured she needed to be seen. My wif called and was told she needed a shot updated. So she brought the dog in and $300 later we get the dog back after SEVERAL shots. My wife said the Dr. barely paid attention to lady, seemed like he just wanted to sell the vaccines. That evening and the next day our dog just laid on the ground. Didn't want to eat or drink. We figured it was all of the stress. Today (Third day) the dog is still laying around. I asked my wife to take the dog back to the vet and she said that she didn't like how the vet at Cinco Ranch treated our dog so she took our dog to a different vet. The new vet said the dog had a severe ear infection. Also said that it had been there for "quite some time". How did the Vet at Cinco miss this? Also, the new vet said the dog has a cyst on her rear which is why she was doing all of the licking. How did the vet at Cinco miss that? Especially since it was the primary reason we brought her in!. The only reason they get two stars is because the staff seems to be very nice. I will never bring an animal to this clinic. Our dog would have been better off never going there. Suffered needlessly because the vet only cares about making money. read more

Taken both our dogs here for two years now and the staff is great, I have never left feeling cheated and my dogs are healthy and happy! Not sure why this would have any negative reviews. My love Jack, a husky mix, was cared for by Dr. Brown and Hibler at Cinco Ranch Vet for about 10 years. The Vets and the Vet techs took great care of Jack. He developed diabetes and they helped me monitor him, and taught me how to check his sugar/insulin levels at home so he wouldn't have to go to the Vet as often to be rechecked. They gave me advice day by day (at no charge) until we could get him stabilized. When he picked up a bug making his diabetes get out of control, Dr. Brown lay on the floor with him feeding him glucose and food by hand to get his blood sugar back up. Again they gave me daily free advice so we could get him stabilized again. When Jack developed arthritis from old age, we went for regular Laser Therapy. Jack started to love going to the Vet to get this done. After Harvey, Jack was struck by a water moccasin and couldn't recover. He was 14 1/2 when he passed. He took two walks a day and played and loved and was happy until the day he passed. I have no doubt I would not have had all the glorious years that I did with Jack without all the efforts of Dr. Brown and the whole team. Thank you! read more

I moved to Katy about 3 mos. ago. The 1st thing I did was to find a vet for my 2 little dogs. I called for an appt. and took them in for their annual shots. The bill was around $500.00 which I still don't understand and I was very upset but paid anyway. i figured at least they are taken care of and I would be able to take them in for grooming and boarding. I took them in the next day and Pat did a wonderful job. When I wanted to take them in the next time, I pulled them up on internet to get the phone number, I saw the review about lady taking her dogs in for grooming and she realized that she was going to be charged an additional $23.50 for each dog for flu shots and was not going to be told about it. I called, got an appt. then requested Pat. I was told Pat was no longer there. I then asked about the review re: the flu shots. Only then was I told there would be an additional charge of $47.00 and that they could not be seen unless they got the shots. REALLY? I had paid for their 1st flu shots on the 1st visit and didn't even know it. I told the receptionist to cancel the appt. and to delete their records. Can we say GREED? read more

Great clinic. You can always get an appointment with no trouble and they get you in and out quickly. I appreciate that they really worked on my dog's eye and called the doggie ophthalmologist for advice instead of sending me to that specialist which would have been major bucks. read more

I was given two very young stray kittens some time back.I came to Cinco Ranch vet to have them checked out and to get all the required vaccinations and shots. I thought at the time the cost seemed a bit high. But being from California ...I was used to that and did not give it much thought. The when my kittens came of age , I wanted to do the responsible thing and have them spayed.....their howling was no longer cute,lol. Cinco Ranch Vet quoted me $360 ..... I'm thinking that was for both Cats.Nope $360 for each Kitten.My thought was , what could they do different that warranted this much $. I asked and the Lady told me...we keep an eye on them after surgery,keep them warm and monitor their vitals. Really? thats what you are supposed to do is it not? I found Special Pals a low cost Shelter off Greenhouse. I got both my kitties spayed and chipped. For $80 dollars each. And yes the kept them warm,monitored them and gave me pain medicine to take home.They are doing well. You always read about being responsible pet owners and getting your pets spayed and neutered. With price gougers like Cinco Ranch Vet....no wonder people are hesitant to pay for this service. I am so glad their are places like Special pals in the area who truly love animals and do not take advantage of Pet owners . Especially just because you live in Cinco Ranch. I gave a large donation to Special pals...at least I know my $ will go to the welfare of the animals there...not lining the pockets of unscrupulous Vets. read more
