Today KVC had their annual Pet Wellness Day for clients. You drive through & they load you with toys, gifts & pet treats, & gifts for you!! OMG, see my picture, it was Christmas!! Lots of yummy cat treats, mice, stuffed toys, a huge cathouse for scratching & playing (kittens LOVE it!), LED lights for playing, spiral toys, balls, cute cat kitchen towels, kitchen sink cat sponges for dishes, even human fragranced hand soaps. There's a kitty Ferris wheel toy they spin to dispense treats/food, (keeps them entertained) and a cute kitten shaped spoon rest as well, and a raffle for even more. Who does that? It's everyone there: long term caring staff who remember you, happy to help & who have ALWAYS ALWAYS comforted me when I've had to say goodbye to elderly pets. Still my cats 17-19.5 yrs old, wouldn't have lived that long without the fabulous relationship with Dr. Cleavinger & her superb vet techs, and their care!!! From Tom the office mgr. to the front desk, you will be well taken care of! Thanks to everyone there! Renee

Through it all, Dr. Shah has been a true light for our family. Her kindness, compassion, and genuine care for our dogs and for us as pet parents has been extraordinary. She has gone above and beyond every step of the way -- calling, texting, and checking in on Myla and Marlee daily, making sure all of our questions and concerns were thoroughly addressed with patience and empathy. No matter how many questions we had, she never rushed us and always made us feel that our dogs' well-being was her top priority. Dr. Shah is not only an outstanding veterinarian but also a truly beautiful human being. Her dedication, compassion, and expertise have brought us comfort during two of the most difficult veterinary crises we've ever faced. We are forever grateful for the incredible care she has given to Myla and Marlee, and for the support she has shown to us. We wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Shah and Circle B Veterinary Hospital to anyone who wants not only excellent veterinary care but also a team that treats your pets -- and you -- like family.

I'm incredibly disappointed to be writing this because, after more than 20 years as a pet owner, I…read moregenuinely thought I'd finally found a veterinary clinic that was compassionate, honest, and cared more about animals than maximizing charges. I rushed my 4-month-old Australian Shepherd puppy in because she was suddenly nauseous, shaking, could barely stand, and was struggling to keep her eyes open. To their credit, they got her in immediately, checked her vitals, and ran blood work to make sure there wasn't anything seriously wrong. I truly appreciated how quickly they acted. After the exam, they recommended an anti-nausea injection and subcutaneous fluids for dehydration. The total estimate was around $751. I didn't hesitate. When your puppy is sick, you don't question the bill--you just want them to get better. My disappointment came afterward. When it was time for the fluids, the technician told me, "She might yelp a bit, but she'll be fine." The reality was much different. As soon as the needle went in, my puppy panicked, cried, struggled, and even started bleeding. The technician stopped the procedure and said, "Okay, it's stressing her out too much. We just got a little in." I then asked if I would still be charged the full $135 for the fluids, despite only receiving a small portion of them. I was told yes because it was a flat fee regardless of how much fluid was actually administered. I explained that didn't seem fair. The response I received was, "The fluids are helpful, but they're not necessary, and it's causing her more stress. If you want, I can try injecting her again." That response completely changed how I felt about this clinic. If the fluids weren't necessary and the stress could outweigh the benefit, why wasn't that conversation had before the procedure? Instead, I was only told after my puppy had already gone through a traumatic experience and after I was informed I'd still be paying the full amount. As a pet owner, I was already scared and willing to pay whatever was necessary to help my puppy. That's exactly why transparency matters. I wasn't upset because veterinary care is expensive--I understand that it is. I was upset because I felt like I wasn't given the information needed to make an informed decision, and when the procedure couldn't even be completed, there was no attempt to be reasonable about the charge. Even a partial adjustment or simply waiving that fee would have shown compassion and goodwill. Instead, I left feeling like policies mattered more than the experience of a frightened puppy and an owner who trusted them. What makes this especially disappointing is that, until today, I would have enthusiastically recommended this clinic. They had earned my trust. Unfortunately, this experience made me question whether empathy truly comes before billing. I hope they reconsider how they communicate treatment recommendations and handle situations where procedures can't actually be completed.
