They cooks never sent the calamari. i was going to ask to just take it off our bill but after it was mentioned, the waitress was more than happy to bring out the food. I feel that they just reheated the old order of calamari which made it shriveled, dried out, and inedible. We went here for the first time in April for lunch and there were a lot of diners, but it wasn't packed and they were seating people spaced out enough. The food and drinks were good but I wasn't blown away by anything we had. I had the chicken and waffles and the dish didn't have much flavor and the breading on the chicken tasted almost burnt. My husband had candied bacon and he said that was good and he had a chocolate chip Skillet cookie which was good of course. This restaurant was highly over rated and exaggerated. We ordered chicken wings, fries and the pizza. Pizza had to get sent back to be cooked longer. The pizza was too sloppy, falling apart and cheese falling off as I pulled it apart. The wings weren't cooked enough. I didn't care for the dry rub , it tasted too sweet and sugary. We had a party of 11 on a Monday evening. I understand it was a big party and the place is still new but I was very disappointed in the service. We had to order drinks and water more than once because the server forgot are order. The appetizers came out quickly and were good. Then it was time for the entrees. Each meal came at a different time with the last meal (for my 80 year old mother) about 15 minutes after the other meals. Turns out they forgot to put in her order. Meanwhile random servers kept bringing dishes out that we didn't order. The food was okay but some of it was a bit colder than I would have liked. It did not make for an enjoyable evening. read more

We used Yelp to get on the wait list and it worked great. I requested that we be seated outside at 6 PM and that is exactly what happened. We were very pleasantly surprised by how nice everything was arranged during this time period that we're challenged by the Covid-19 Virus. Everyone cooperated with social distance and mask requirements which made us all very comfortable. Our server, Victoria, was exceptional. She promptly checked in for our orderes and was extremely polite and attentive. All our entrees were very good (Cheesesteak steak rolls, bang-bang shrimp, fried string beans, cheese dip, pizza and beverages. We were so comfortable that we can't wait to return. My fiancé and I dined here recently and had a pleasurable experience. Our server, Amy, was an absolute gem. She was kind and on top of the game. I had a blood orange margarita which I have dreamed of ever since. It was pretty and tasty. The lobster Mac n cheese was also delicious. I got the short rib cheesesteak to eat. The short rib was good but it was way too much bread and not enough meat. My fiancé got the chicken and waffles which was a little lacking in flavor. With the menu so expansive, and the service so amazing, we will definitely be back to try something different. Great atmosphere too! read more

I went here on Saturday night with a group of friends and really enjoyed the vibe, food, and everything was priced decent. The restaurant was pretty packed and we had to wait 45 mins, but overall we loved the restaurant. We decided that we come back the next night (Super Bowl Sunday) and we are now very disappointed with the restaurant. The restaurant was slow but there was at least 30 people hanging out watching the game. They decided to close the kitchen at 9:10p on super bowl Sunday!!! They closed it without giving anybody notice and looked like the waitress's didn't even expect it. Could have at least waited until the end of the game! Feel like management is trying to save every cent they can at the expense of their customers and employees! read more

More of a bar than a restaurant bar. Menu is limited but the sandwiches we had were very good. Pizza is average. Sauce was bland. Tables are close and the place was very noisy. I could hardly hear my friend across the table. Place is new right now so everyone is checking it out. It might be better if less crowded. There are other places I would go to first. read more

This is my second review of my favorite hang out place and sadly not a good one. The menu changed and our favorite appetizers were removed only to be replaced with many seafood apps. Obviously if you are a seafood lover this would be a good thing, but not for us. Service was also not the best. We've been to this Cinder Bar twice now, and although it's not a home-run I'm glad to have a place like this nearby. It's definitely better than most of the other chain restaurants in the area. It's got a great ambiance, very nice decoration, and it looks like half of the restaurant will be open-air in the summer when it's warm enough to open the very large sliding glass wall. Unfortunately, parking is a bit tight so you may need to park in the nearby lot in front of the mattress store - but there are crosswalks so it's no problem! To start off with the good: the short rib poutine is amazing! They really load it up with meat, gravy, and cheese sauce. The short rib is succulent and very flavorful. The gravy has a great meaty flavor to it, and the cheese sauce is nice and gooey without being sticky and gloopy like some other cheese sauces. The sriracha deviled eggs are also great. The egg whites weren't overcooked like many deviled eggs and it had a great balance of heat and flavor from the sriracha. The "pane and ricotta" dish is very good as well, even though it's simply ricotta cheese with honey, orange zest, and rosemary. The okay: the "not baloney" pizza (it's named something like that) was pretty good. I wished it was a bit more cooked as it came out a little soggy and doughy, but the flavor was great and I really liked the way the thinly sliced mortadella works on pizza. The cheesesteak egg rolls were good (when we actually got them - the second time visiting). They were greasy, but I guess it's what I should expect for meat & cheese deep-fried in dough. The cocktails were also only okay, especially for the price. The peach crush I tried didn't have much peach flavor and was a little boozy for a crush. Now the not so good: the chicken and waffles. The chicken was dry because of how thinly its sliced and the candied bacon pieces were burnt to the point where we scraped them off to eat the rest of the meal. The country gravy does not have enough flavor... it should be salty and peppery, but it tasted like it had no seasoning at all. What really confused me is the service... We were waiting in the very nice waiting area near the fireplace and were offered to order drinks. We ordered, but they took quite a while to come out. While we were waiting, we got a text saying that our table was ready so we go to the front to be seated. We tell our waitress that we're still waiting for drinks that we ordered in the lounge, so she asks us to wait for the drinks and close our tab before we sit at our table. I thought that was strange, but my wife and I wait for them in the lounge even though our table is less than 20 feet away. Couldn't the waitress just tell the lounge waiter that we're now sitting at the table? So we're still waiting, and the waitress comes back and asks for one of us to sit at our table while the other waits for the drinks in the lounge area. What...? In the end, my wife waited awkwardly for our drinks while I sat at the table alone. Why...? In the end, not a big deal. It just didn't make much sense to me. Also, during our first visit the cheese steak egg rolls that we ordered never made it to our table even though they made it onto the bill. The waitress corrected it, but with the "free flow kitchen" concept that's used it's tough to know when something is just taking a while versus when something's forgotten/lost by the waitress/kitchen. read more

WOW is all we can say about this place. We got there they told us 30 min. Ok no pronlem. Now 1 hour later we were seated. Took the server 15 min to even come to our table. She takes our order and while we are sitting there 2 servers bring food to the table next to us and they put it down and the table says this isn't ours. The servers pick it back up and walk away. You would assume they took it back to the kitchen. NOPE they took it to the tBle that ordered it and gave them the food. HELLO that was so wrong with what is going on. Yes we watched all this and still no drinks. After seeing these servers do what they did we got up and walked out after my boyfriend told the manager what they did. We went 5 min down the road and had a awesome dinner and great service. Yes we told people as we were leaving what they did. I wouldn't even give them 1 star. This was the first time here to. We finally got to go to this location for outdoor dining! Ordered half the menu and it was all incredible food. From appetizers to entree everything was wonderful- must try the Elote Mexican style street corn and the Bang Bang Shrimp. What's the point of making a reservation if you still have to wait 20 mins. Hostess told me that's not that long to wait Sir. In my reservation I requested a booth. The hostess that she would try to seat us at a high top as the booths are not available for a while She then proceeded us to seat us at a table. I mentioned that we wanted a booth, and would be fine with a high top. She says that, we would have to wait longer for that. I said that's fine we'll just sit here. We sat and noticed that there was food on and under it table from the last person that had eaten. I requested the manager who didn't even apologize. She said she would move us to somewhere comfortable and then immediately another hostess walked us to a booth-which was magically available- slammed the utensils onto the table and rolled her eyes. Customer service is just not there anymore. It's very disappointing to see an establishment that once cared about its customers do the bare minimum to keep the doors open. read more

We were at the restaurant and ordered drinks, french fries and a calzone. The french fries were sent back three times before they came out hot because our waitress had a different cook make them. Our calzone was cold as well. Hate to complain so we ate some of it. Someone came to our table to ask if everything was good and we said fine.....didn't want to randomly complain. Our waitress later told us it was the manager, Tony. He was very unprofessional! He did not identify himself or specifically ask about our food. My experience at Cinder Bar wasn't good. Ordered a cocktail that I never received and cancelled it because my food came first. I ordered wings and Brussels sprouts and woke up the next day literally sick to my stomach!! I reached out to Cinder Bar. They wished me well and told me no one else complained about getting sick from their eating wings or Brussels sprouts. I'm not the only person that has gotten sick from eating there. My husband and I stopped here for dinner without knowing anything about it, and we were pleasantly surprised! The food was very very good! Well prepared and served hot which I like, and great service too. Our waiter was really nice. The only thing that could use improvement were our seats, which were small and very uncomfortable.
