2 bags ($25 per 50 pcs bag?) frozen Pork and Leek Dumplings are what I bought and it was really delicious. Check out their other choices for dumplings if pork and leek is not your favorite. I love these juicy , thick skinned fully filled dumplings! I will definitely be back! Dumplings are an easy way to cook when you just didn't have time to prep or cook lunch or dinner. Just boil 4 cups water, add 8-10 dumplings, stir gently so dumplings don't get stuck to the bottom of the pot. Lower temp to medium hot. Stir every 2 3 minutes. When dumplings float to the top, boil 3-4 minutes and their done! Use a ladle with holes to pull those little gems onto a plate! I usually make a soy sauce mixture with white vinegar, sesame oil and siracha hot sauce (tablespoon soy sauce and teaspoon of each vinegar, hot sauce and vinegar). Dip and eat! Ambiance is okay but you're just there to eat good authentic Taiwanese cuisine . Hope my feedback helps! read more

We love the vinegar potato sticks here - they remind me of my grandmother's. The bean curd appetizer / vegetarian chicken is also delicious! They're located far from us so it's nice they have frozen items we can stock up on! The vegetarian frozen bao were a hit for breakfast this morning! Well, bought bag of napa-pork dumplings, a bag of 3-kids dumplings and a bag of leek-pork dumplings yesterday. We tried the leek-pork dumplings for dinner tonight....Not very good. First, the dumplings had too much sugar, yes, sugar, the sweetness level is about 3 syrups/sweetened add to tall Starbucks coffee. Also, the 5-ingredients is more weighted to cinnamon (at least 50%). If you like cinnabon type of dumplings, this is for you, but definitely not for me. Will continue to post my feedback on other two kinds of dumplings. read more

Who would have got this little gem is tucked away in the corner of what is considered Mecca of Taiwanese/Chinese food in Hacienda/Rowland Heights?! Here they specialize in a variety of noodles (beef noodle soup, snow vegetable with shredded pork noodles, ja jaan mein), small cold deli dishes, and dessert drinks like the green bean with barley sweet soup. The food is very good here. The frozen dumplings are really good too. I always pick up some for work days when I absolutely don't have time to cook anything. But be prepared to wait if you come here on the weekends. They tend to be short staffed with just one person doing all the work outside of the kitchen, taking orders, bussing, and ringing up checks. Hey how come there's only two reviews ahead of me?! Well I guess this restaurant is kind of new, and because where it is located, people either don't notice it or are too afraid to try. You should come try it at least once! My favorite dish is NOT the beef noodle, but it's the Ja-Jon Noodle (Pork Sauce), It is THE BEST, I am so Addicted to the Ja-Jon Noodle, I love it because it tastes just like how my grandparents used to prepare it in Taiwan. They will ask you if you want the "thin" noodle or the "wide" noodle, I think their thin noodle is more fresh than their wide noodle. They also have a lot of little dishes for you to choose from, they allow you to order two half dishes and pay the price of one, that way you get to have more selections and try more things. In their refrigerators & freezer they have ready made food like green bean soup, winter mellon tea, dumplin, noodles, wonton ... etc. all kinds of Chinese frozen food to take home and eat later. The restaurant itself is very clean, they don't use disposable chopsticks, instead they use metal chopsticks that's a big plus for me. I felt the urge for a traditional Chinese noodle soup and decided on Cindy's kitchen. I heard that they had recently gone through a renovation and I wanted to check the place out. It appears they still have the great selection of marinated Chinese appetizers, and a few new items on the menu. One major change is that they are now taking visa/mastercards. I do wish they added a English menu to help the non Chinese readers. I had the chicken noodle soup, and folks, it is not the Campbell soup version. It is a light traditional soup base with four to five chicken wings accented by pork. Been coming to Cindy's kitchen for many years. Their cold dishes and chicken soup noodles are my favorite. They used to have a shredded pork jello appetizer that I absolutely loved, but found out that they stopped making em, kinda sad. I went back today to pick up some cold dishes, they are just as good as I remembered. Every dish I've ordered from this place tastes like home! The atmosphere is very down-to-earth and simple. I also love that you can have fried rice with some added pickled vegetables. Fried chicken rice plate comes with chicken that has a well-seasoned and crispy breading and a solidly good ludan/marinated egg. I have tried a handful of various beef noodle places, and Cindy's Kitchen's noodles always turn out to be more (even just a little bit) better than others'. Some of the best Szechuan food I've ever had. In a rather Taiwanese restaurant, too. We ordered the 1: Spicy Pork Intestine with Spam and Blood, 9: Pork Belly with Garlic Sauce, and 23: Pan Fried Beef with Cumin. Based on pictures we saw online, we were expecting very spicy food, so when the Pork Belly with Garlic sauce came, smothered in a speckled, deep red sauce, slices of pork artfully arranged around a small hill of beansprouts, I was fully prepared to take a bite and suffer (happily) for it. But, contrary to the expectations of everyone at the table, it was not that spicy - in fact, it was incredibly garlic-y! And little too salty, sure, but it held such intense garlic flavor. And after eating more, the mala (numbing) came to bear. (By the end of the meal all of our tongues were delightfully numb.) As for the Spicy Pork Intestine, it was similar. Very flavorful, all the meats very tender (no spam, but there was black fungus, slices of beef, lots of intestine, bean curd, and bean sprouts), and very numbing! But also not that spicy. The Pan Fried Beef was perfectly tender, with just a slight chew, the cilantro and chilies a wonderful accompaniment to the intense cumin. They do sell their own chili oil, which may actually be rather spicy, but if our meal was any indication, this is an establishment that prides themselves on flavor and technique over spice. Anyone can make food spicy - just buy the right chilies and drench them in hot oil. But to make food that invites thought to every chew (the meats were so firm and tender), that evolves over a meal, and that dares to use spiciness as simply a component, not a star, of the dish - that is spectacular. Please give this humble establishment your attention. (P.S. the atmosphere is homey and lovely, there are so many small dishes/appetizers, and their menu includes dumplings, noodles, and lots of veggie/tofu dishes! Place was pretty empty only 4 diners in the restaurant not including the bf and myself. I ordered some bamboo & seaweed cold dish appetizer and I was amazed at the big portion they gave me for the price charged. Cold dishes needed more seasoning, kinda bland so I asked for salt & added it myself. Bf had the beef noodle soup and I ordered the Chinese jjaajangmein (noodle with meat sauce). My noodles came in a huge bowl with bean sprouts and cucumbers :) yay veggies! I thought it was pretty good. I had some bf's beef noodle soup and honestly, not the best, not even qualified to be good. There was a thick layer of oil and the broth lacked the beef flavor (sigh) -__- It tasted like chili oil & soy sauce soup but, the noodles were good! Everything I've ever gotten from here is SO GOOD and full of flavor. It looks like a little hole in the wall and the ambience isn't the greatest but they make up for it with their food. I was really excited to try this place since their soybean paste noodle looked so good in the pictures on Yelp. I was handed a menu in Chinese and I almost didn't know how to order since I can't read Chinese. I remember someone had posted a picture of an English menu on Yelp, so I asked her if she had an English menu. I met up with some friends dinner and it was disappointing to me. Anyway, so Cindy Liu Deli is this really small shop in this really small plaza that I would've never find if not for yelp! Has a salon next to it or something. They has lots of other little dishes/appetizer that you can buy by the weight kinda like at the deli that you pick stuff from the display fridge and they put it in the container for you. The meat items are kinda oily, my fiancé who's white did not like that much, it is pretty oily to my standard as well but i know you are not suppose to just eat them like that but kinda drink beer or plum juice with it. I have been going to this place for a very long time. The original owner retired and gave the restaurant to their son. However the son is not a cook and has no interest in running a restaurant. So he asked one of the employee if she is interested to take over and she accepted the offer. It turned out her husband is a chef. This hole in the wall place is a husband and wife operation but it produce some very authentic Cantonese style dishes and Taiwanese noodle soup. Pricing is in line with everyone else and some items are prices lower then the competitions. But for the price you pay you get a decent size portion.
