Well this time our experience was not good! Auditorium 17 was showing IMAX 3D , but the seating is lop sided to suit viewing from left side and sadly we were not! While the movie was great, our seating experience ( it did not have signature recliners of AMC either ) Was not good! read more

Been here multiple times as we love watching movies especially in AMC we love their popcorn much better than the other places... This time we went to see Hindi movie which was an amazing experience. Similar to my previous experience, there is no in-seat ordering. Customers still need to interrupt their movie experience to order additional food and drinks. On the way to my seat, I ordered a fountain drink and a Chocolate Lava Cake. The employee immediately handed me an empty cup and informed me the food would be delivered to my seat. Unlike my previous experience, it was actually delivered. The lava cake was served in a take-out container. Because the cover was tightly sealed, I had difficulty removing it. The cake was unexpectedly dry and the center lacked any fudge. The ice cream compensated for the dryness. Other than the ice cream and whipped cream, I could not taste anything else. Because the food was delivered after the trailers started, the lack of overhead ambient light prevented me to clearly check inside the container. The tray was small, less than half the width of the seat. There was sufficient room for the dessert, but I would be concerned with an entree served in a larger container. Solid experience at this AMC theater! It was pretty clean inside the theater we were in and the seats were comfy. Only complaint is that the buttons to recline kept getting stuck if you accidentally press them too hard and it was difficult to get them unstuck. The only reason I came here was for the IMAX screen--Mission: Impossible deserved the biggest format possible. Unfortunately, everything else about this theater felt like a mission in itself... to tolerate. The popcorn tasted like it was made yesterday and left out overnight--stale, sad, and definitely not worth the price. The seats are tiny, worn out, and screaming for reupholstering. Even the wall carpeting is giving up, literally peeling off like the place has been abandoned by management. At this point, AMC is getting absolutely steamrolled by Cinemark. Unless you're as unhinged as I am and refuse to watch IMAX films on anything but a real IMAX screen, skip this location. read more

Enter the mall and follow the signs. The theater is large with 24 theaters. Everything was nice. We ordered at the counter a large popcorn and two drinks. We were pleased to see the self serve pop machines had a lot of Zero choices. We got root beer and cream soda. The popcorn was good. The butter dispenser was on a cart by its self. The theater seats recline with little "school" or "airplane" tables with drink holes. Those were nice to place our cups, napkins, glasses, wallet, stuff while we reclined. The sound level was good, not too loud. Dine-in means you order your food at the counter and wait, then place it on the little table at your seat. Seats can be reserved online. The Good - the area that we were assigned to sit was filthy. After alerting management, the cleaning attendant was great in making sure everything was clean and sanitize. We gave him kudos. The Bad - we purchased a large popcorn and when I went back to get the refill, the cashier stated that we had to eat all the first container then come back and get the refill. We did that!...when I got back to the counter, the guy acted like he never said that, and then the new cashier stated that we had to be part of some club in order to get the refill. The dude straight acted brand new and the manager was absolutely no help. If the guy had stated the info about 'the club', our purchases might have been different... SMH read more

The place is clean and the staff is attentive and friendly. I didn't order food. Did have a drink. The machines were fine. I hear people talking about it being understaffed but I didn't see that. This theatre is far cleaner and nicer than most other AMC theatres I've been to in recent years. The place is busy and the mall is packed. But it is two weeks before christmas so I think that plays into it. But non the less. I wish this was my home theatre. But it's two hours from my house. read more

Worst AMC experience ever. My friends and I (group of 5) came to see an 18+ movie, and the staff told us if one of us had an ID we could go in. One of my friends walked all the way back to the car to grab his ID, and when he came back they suddenly refused to let us in anyway. The employees were beyond rude -- they talked down to us, rolled their eyes, and acted like we were a problem instead of paying customers. When we asked for our $80 back, they flat-out refused and told us to get out of the theater. No apology, no explanation, nothing. This place clearly doesn't know what customer service is. We left frustrated and out $80. I'll never be coming back to this location, and I'd recommend everyone go somewhere else unless you want to be treated like garbage. Honestly, the name "dine in" is quite a misnomer. It's not similar to table service like studio movie Grill, or the Alamo Drafthouse. No one comes to your seat to take your order. Instead, you stand in line just like you would for popcorn and order your food. If you have an AMC Stubbs Premier pass, you can get in the shorter line, but I honestly am not sure they enforce that because they were people in line with me that didn't seem to have it. They should definitely be checking that. If your food is not ready when you order it, they will bring it to you. The theater does have a little table for you to place your food on to eat it during the movie. I tried the artesian supreme pizza. Honestly, it was almost exactly like a pizza hut, supreme round, thick crust pizza. I was expecting an artesian flatbread pizza. I wouldn't order that pizza again. They do have a wide menu and if I go back, I'll probably order something different for sure. Also, the temperature was very warm in the theater. Other reviews have commented the same and I hope they change the temperature policy. read more

Tuesday December 3rd. Understaffed and forgetful. They had one person taking an order for 15 minutes. From 8:35pm-8:50pm. I placed an order for food. 9:50pm I walked to the counter and they said they forgot to deliver the food. I asked for a popcorn and the girl with the glasses and the septum piercing just looked around dumbfounded. I wanted to throw my food at the wall but felt the cashier didn't deserve that. An absolute embarrassment of an establishment. I purchased some tickets online and came in with my husband right now. They turned us away because we didn't have an ID and it's Rated R. If you're going to adhere to a policy this should have happened to us the last TEN times we came in and watched all Rated R movies. We live 5 mins away and left our wallet so we only had pictures on our phone. The manager came over and was super rude and just said nope we can't let you in without hearing what was even happening or giving us a chance to give a secondary option. I understand a child trying to come not an obvious older couple lol It's almost funny how embarrassing that was. If you want to hold yourself to a higher standard and card everyone for a movie you have to be at least 18 for, I expect you to do it EVERY single time. Not once in a blue moon and then turn away your paying regulars when it's your fault and your responsibility to hold each member of the team with the same standards before. Would never return to this establishment again. It's pretty dingy and dirty anyways convenience was the only reason we ever kept coming in the first place. Management- Do better. read more

We came here to see the new hunger games movie. Seats were comfortable and clean. Our problem was being charged to book our tickets online, since when are we charging fees to book our tickets.. Also the fire alarm went off during commercial, not a huge deal but, it went off twice before finally stopping. It's been a few years since I've been to this theater. All my past experiences have been positive! Food and staff at concessions was fine and the place is pretty clean considering all of the people traffic they get. This last visit, not so much. Movie and theater was great, didn't eat this time but the ticket person was not helpful or friendly at all. Had to figure out for myself how to use my yellow tickets with the kiosk, since she couldn't even acknowledge my existence. It wasn't difficult and I'm happy the kiosk functioned correctly, but it's just the principle of it. Where has good customer service gone? read more

I don't know why people are so quick to knock this place down. It's not run down at all, and in fact I'm pretty impressed at the upkeep of this place given that it's been here for years. I've been coming here since it first opened, and although it's not my regular place to go see a movie, after today's visit, I'll be coming more frequently. The theaters are very clean, and the seats are really comfortable. They even have an option to get your food delivered to your seat, however I think this should be a free option for Stubs members. Cinemark doesn't charge a fee for delivery, and even though it's only a couple of bucks, it's just nice to know that it's free. We saw a $5 kids movie at 3pm and really enjoyed it. The popcorn was fresh, the theater nice and cold, and the movie screen and sound were great, too. I think the reason a lot of people have a problem with this place is that it's a teen magnet. I know that in the evenings and on weekends teenagers love to flock here and I can see it becoming a hot mess really quickly. They also hire a lot of younger people, so the staff may not be well trained in keeping up cleanliness after large, messy crowds. But, on this visit, I had no issues. Came there to "drop off" my son (nearly 16) for the Demon Slayer movie on a no-school day (parent teacher conference day). We left very disappointed in this theater and quite frankly won't be back. If I as a parent have taken time to park, and personally walk my child in to a movie theater I would expect that would be permission enough for my child to go to a R rated movie. Since when are you the parental figure of my child? If I have purchased the ticket and personally walked him in, there should be no questions regarding whether or not he can see a given movie. It's kind of funny...never had any issues with Cinemark. I will be continuing my business with them after this experience. read more

The dining experience was the worst we have had at a theater with a dine in option. We ordered online when purchasing tickets for the movie. The food was brought to us about 15 minutes later than the time stated. We ordered burgers and fries and opted out of the special sauce listed. What we received was the absolute worst burger I believe I have ever eaten. The meat texture was indescribable, the smell was definitely not what you would expect even from a theater grill and there was no sign of a condiment. We ate our burgers mainly because there was no way to notify staff that we were dissatisfied, the $15 price tag and we were hungry. We will definitely not be spending an evening at this establishment again. read more

A couple of weeks ago, we came to see Barbie. The theater we were in was great! It had leather reclining seats, it was cozy, each seat had a table. Overall great experience. So obviously we decided to come back to see Oppenheimer in the iMax theater. There are SO many issues and we haven't even started the movie yet. 1. There are zero lights on in the theater so we to use our phones to navigate the darkness and find our seats. 2. The seats have zero give, no reclining, not adjustable in the slightest. 3. No tables. None. If we would have known, we wouldn't have ordered food...at the dine-in theater. 4. The seats are un-level, sticky, and stinky. The drinks don't fit in the cup holder properly, and it's overall a super unpleasant experience. 0/10. Would not recommend the iMax theater at AMC Stonebriar. Update: the lights were finally turned on at 12:30. The movie was supposed to start at 12:25. It's now 12:31. read more

Date Night!!! I used to come here a lot several years ago, the theatre was always clean, the food was always tasty, and the staff was always friendly. But near the end of 2019, the service, food, and cleanliness really went downhill fast. My final straw was when I ordered a burger, salad, and dessert for myself and my daughter. Well, our order wasn't delivered to our table until 15 minutes before the credits started to roll near the end of the movie. The burger was cold, fries were cold, and the salad was warm. I think it was sitting in the window throughout our entire movie. So we stopped coming here. Well, my spouse and I finally decided to give this place another chance last week. We came for the 9:00pm showing of the movie Lamb. We didn't order any food this time, however, we did get a bucket of popcorn, and it was nice and hot. The bathroom appeared to be clean, although the trash really needed to be changed. The seats and table were clean as well. Our seats reclined as expected, and they were very comfortable. The movie was good, but very strange at the same time. There were only about 8 of us in the theatre, so it was nice and quiet. I am always freezing in theatres, so I brought a small blanket with me, surprisingly the temperature in the theatre was great, not too cold, and not too warm. Although I still used it, I really didn't need my blanket after all. This was a great welcome back experience, and my feelings about this AMC really changed for the better. Although I cannot vouch for the food here quite yet, the popcorn was great, and the theatre met all of my expectations. I will be back here again soon. Hopefully my next experience will be just as good, if not, I will be sure to update this review. Please check this place out for yourself. My friend and I went to AMC for the Discount Tuesday deal. When we went to purchase concessions, we asked for the ICEE and popcorn combo. The cashier was insistent that the deal only included a regular drink despite the AMC website saying otherwise. We knew the combo included the ICEE option because we had been there previously and ordered without a problem. However, because the line was so long, we just let it go. We ended up getting just drinks from their soft drink machine. The drinks themselves were pretty awful. The sodas were neither carbonated nor well-mixed. It tasted like a cup of lukewarm sugar water. Overall, a really unfortunate experience in what otherwise could've been a nice evening. read more

The theater was dirty and the food very poor quality. As long as this theater has been here you'd think they'd know how to manage it, but they don't. There are so many other theaters to choose from, including Cinemark which is headquartered nearby in Plano, I can't think of a reason to go to this AMC. read more

This theatre is ok but needs a little loving. Some of the recliners don't work and not all theatres have recliners. the food service is not the best, mainly because they can be slow, especially if you order it to be delivered to your seat. It was a major inconvenience to leave out of my film and miss scenes. After being informed it would take 30 mins, you would assume it's coming piping hot. Got to movie, went to order food and legit all food was sold out. So settled for just a pickle and popcorn and coke. No food. Then go to seats and they were filthy! Full meals from the show time previous were left there and it was filthy!!! Like legit filthy. Came here on a Thursday for the 1pm Sing2 movie. First time taking the little kiddos and it was such a great experience. The tickets were $5 each and the theatre was clean. Large reclining seats with tables. We had the cinema all to ourselves which was a bonus! The restrooms were close and were super clean. Food was crazy expensive so we decided to skip. read more

Best week early day place! If you love an empty theater where every seat is yours and they are all the nice lean back chairs. This is the place! Maybe it is a little warm or cold sometimes... so take your shoes off and get comfy or bring a coat to stay warm. Love week day theaters where it is all mine to watch a movie. Also they have EV charging stations. Out of all the AMCs I have been in Dallas I find this my favorite. I come from downtown Dallas just to enjoy a theater to myself. Great theatre experience especially IMAX. I have posted a few photos of lobby area. If you buy your ticket online and get it downloaded to phone with QR code take it to ticket guy to be scanned. They have a bar if you want adult beverages. Don't know if you can bring into theatre. As they have a captured audience the food and drink are expensive (see photo). During hot summer months park on other side of mall and enjoy the covered parking. Keeps car cooler. SHE who cashes my retirement check complained of women's rest room near theatre 18. Three stalls one couldn't close door. And only one sink had soap. bummer. read more
