We don't have a lot of theater options around here, but in my recent experience, I think I'd rather go somewhere else. I couldn't believe some of the negative reviews I previously read, but now I get it. Saw a movie last Friday and the video messed up and skipped forward through an entire scene. Then these lights on the side of the theater started flashing and an automated voice plays twice saying that there has been an emergency and we should exit the theater immediately, but the movie keeps playing. When we asked the attendant in the hall what was happening, she said it was a mistake and there was no emergency. read more

Beautiful new theater but, This is the second time I have gone to a movie at this theater with a painfully loud soundtrack. The worst part is even after asking multiple times for the staff to turn down the volume, they didn't... in fact i think they turned it up, and there were only 5 other people in the theater! Terrible customer service with no regard for our safety. I like a loud exciting movie as much as the next person, that is why i go to the theater, but this was outrageous and dangerous! read more

The seats are nice and the prices are about the same as anywhere else. Just two things ticked me off. One: Why, after spending $9 for a ticket do I have to listen to over 30 minutes of commercials? And LOUDLY! Two: The large popcorn/drink combo (which cost MORE that the tickets) DO NOT come with refills? What? Really, Cinemark? You're that cheap?! No one else in town does this. read more

They charge full price for refills. The whole point of buying a large is for the free/cheap refill.

Standard theatre.Pretty clean,nice military discounts.The only problem is when they are not busy the grab your own food line at the concession stand is closed and it takes awhile for you to get your food if there is more than 1 person in front of you. read more

First time here! The two ticket ladies were not friendly at all. I asked if there was a reward card for the theatre like Regal has and it was as if I asked for free movie tickets. We didn't get anything from the concessions so can't rate that. Parking is plentiful, the theatre 9 was spacious but the seats were small and very uncomfortable. They did not recline much and the sound from the theatre room next door could be heard through half of our movie. With limited options in this city, I hope the Regal is better. read more

Way too overpriced... almost 7$ for a SMALL popcorn. And every time we come here, it's stale. Never fresh popcorn and it's gross... You pay close to 7$ for stale popcorn.... Theaters are nice. But if you want to see a movie and get concessions... Brace yourself. read more

Here is the response I recieved from Cinemark. Hope it doesn't "confuse" you (as this woman implies it might). I encourage any military family member to contact Cinemark to rebut this logic. Every market is different so every market can have a different pricing structure in place. Cinemark was the first theatre in the Killeen/Harker Heights area to offer any kind of a Military Discount. As a business, we make pricing decisions on what we feel will work best for a particular market. My wife and I have been going to this theater since we moved here the summer of 2013. By far, this is the best theater of Harker Heights, Killeen, and Cove. They offer discounts for the active duty and their date. In addition, Tuesday night's are $5 specials. The theater is located in the rear of the Market Heights. There are plenty of restaurants to eat and a nearby yogurt shop to stop at before or after a movie. The ticket counter is located at the right of the entrance. The theaters are split to 2 separate hallways with your typical priced concession food and candy available. As for the seats, the arm rests do not lift, which is the one negative. As for the restrooms, a majority of the time the employees maintain the restrooms; but you may come by when they are a mess. However, the employees accommodate their customers well. We had a mild family emergency (not life threatening), but we had to leave the movie 40 minutes after it had started. They refunded our money without question. So, check this place out for a great movie experience. read more

It is clean, somewhat helpful staff. The theatre itself was nice however the seats are extremely uncomfortable. I wouldn't see a very long movie here again. Sitting there for 2 hours was very hard. Just like any other theatre the food is outrageous, but it was overall a nice experience. read more

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was awesome. We caught the 9pm 3D session. The price was outrages. We order our snacks. Popcorn was stale and cold. Nachos but they ran out of jalapeños. Ordered a hot dog and they ran out. Bought two lg. cokes. One large popcorn. Order of nachos and couple if boxes of candy. $$$$$$36.00$$$$$???? I understand we must run a business but this is robbery! read more

I frequent this theater often. I love that they have kettle corn. the last 2 times I have been here, pess than 4 months. the ketlle machine is broken. I think they need to invest in a new one. it really is half the reason I go to the movies. read more

Cinemark was a nice facility, but my experience was horrible. First of all, I did think is was nice to have a the ticket counter inside. This way you can talk to a person without a glass in between you and the ticket cashier. The down side is that they only accept active duty military ID's. I was active, but now only my wife is. It was sad that they didn't even accept the retired military ID from the man behind us. I guess some businesses accept it and some don't. I did not like the self service concession stand. It wasn't clean and there was only one cashier working at the time. I believe that if there's more than 3 people in a line then there should be another cashier. Not here! Plus, it always my luck to get behind the person that is paying with coins. Not a good experience there and thank god that we showed up early. Well it doesn't end there. During the movie towards the end, the movie stopped. Ok, we're sitting there wondering what happened. Did a manager come and tell us they were having technical issues? NO! A bunch of us had to go find an employee and ask. Well after around 15 minutes, they finally got the movie back up and running, but it wasn't at the point it shut off. It was further into the movie. So after the movie, I asked my wife to ask a manager if we could get a movie pass for the inconvenience. I went to the restroom and whenever I came out she told me that the manager said that since we stayed and watched the rest of it that she wasn't going to give us anything. Unacceptable! This is our favorite movie theater in Killeen. They've got a lot of options for snacks, and I like the way you can walk through the kind of "buffet" they have to pick what you'd like. You also can fill your own drinks, which I prefer, so you can have the ice/soda ratio just the way you like it. My husband had a hot dog and enjoyed it, I had a small personal pizza and enjoyed it as well. The prices aren't super cheap, but it's a movie theater and that's how they make their money. We enjoyed our food and that's what matters. The theater was clean, the seats were comfy, and there were no audio/visual complaints either. Their ticket prices for a matinee were cheaper than other theaters in Killeen as well. read more

We really don't go here often because of the children. We were watching IT and there were small children talking through out the movie. We went to ask for a refund so we can go back later because we could not get into the movie. The manager Anthony Herr acted like we lied about our ticket purchase even though the cashier told him we purchased them with her. He asked to see our portion of the tickets that we didn't have and we stated why. The young man who took the tickets didn't return our portion to us and when we stated that to the manager he said they don't do that at their theater. The young man then confirmed that it happened that way and he stated he still was not giving a refund. It was not the about the money. It was the principle and how he tried to make it seem like we lied about out ticket purchase. In the future will take the time and drive to Temple where it's friendly and the atmosphere is good. read more

Hey as of last night, 12/29/14, I had my first experience at this movie theater and it was awesome!! I'm usually living in the city so I'm used to bigger is better, not a small town kind of guy. There may not be a whole lot going on in the immediate Killeen area from my observance as a brand new resident (soldier who just moved here for the Army), but the Cinemark movie theater is definitely happening to catch a flick, very large and attractive building, bright lights and well designed for fun. It's surrounded by other attractively built shops and restaurants in the Harker Heights area ; that it makes the perfect getaway from the shabbiness of other theaters and spots in Killeen without actually leaving town. The staff was friendly, Concessions was front and center, box office sells tickets inside instead of forcing the line to wait outside, decor was cool looking, and the restrooms were clean, even has a cool arcade. This location is perfect for kids, teens, families, singles, couples, casual outings or date nights. Patrons seemed nice, good blend of adults and kids, no rude encounters or disruptive adolescents for you seniors out there, lol . They do provide a military discount. I've had prior experience with Cinemark elsewhere and they always impress, however, this location is the best I've seen for Cinemark yet. Enjoy the movie! read more

This is the only theatre I've been to in recent years that does not offer free refills on their large drinks. I spoke to a manager after my movie and voiced my disappointment and she couldn't seem less concerned. I told her I'd frequent a different theatre from now on, she said ok. The movie was fine, but the theatre saving a few penny's by not giving refills is apparently worth more than me bringing my family of 5 back to the theatre ever again. read more

Functional at best. Very low quality movie experience. Dirty floors and bathrooms, broken seats and smelly. The first time we went the projector went out, no big deal as it was quickly fixed. The staff is visible but they do more walking around than cleaning. The second time was an opening weekend and as the first showing was full the ticketing staff suggested we see the next showing an hour later. Sweet, better seats, right? No. The center seats in the center rows were ALL broken. I fell into five seats before giving up and moving closer to the aisle. "The best seat in the house" is a LIE. Then as I am hanging out, the theater goes dark, 45 minutes before the previews even start. And I'm not talking a little dimmer, I'm saying full on blackout. Maybe so people won't notice the sticky floors, dead crickets and broken chairs? Yuck. The bathroom hallway was full of dead crickets. Come on! It was 12pm so obviously no one swept the night before or that morning. Gross. When the film ended there were no staff present at the exit to help with trash so not even half the theater had emptied and both trash cans were overflowing. Even the patrons reflect the trashy atmosphere when they gave up cleaning after themselves and left dozens of popcorn and soda containers on the floor. Fix the seats. Clean up. Until then, I don't envy anyone working here. What a dump, don't be fooled by the new exterior. read more
