We came here Sunday to see "Toy Story 4". The reclining chairs we're so comfortable. We also enjoyed the great service from the cashiers that were there either late morning or early afternoon. They are air-conditioned and they have arcades and varieties of food to enjoy. read more

I was very excited to get a movie theater closer to home. And I have heard good things about the recliners. However I must say the overall experience was under whelming. The common area were very dirty, floors hadn't been vacuumed and the bathrooms were also disgusting with paper all over the floor, clogged toilets, etc Management needs to figure out how to keep it clean during the day. read more

I just saw Captain America Civil War...in the 3D XD. The picture was out of focus. Talked to manager before the show to fix the issue. He said it would be fixed. Well the issue wasnt fixed. He would do nothing about it. Custom service is the worst. read more

The Move Theares was clean and amazing and the chairs are cozy and they make you won't to go to sleep

The first time I went to this theater I was very excited to see what all the hype was about. When we arrived and I sat in my recliner it was exactly as if I were sitting in my home. The theater was cozy and spacious at the same time, the sound system was amazing and I was excited that The city of La Quinta finally had a movie theater. However after 5+ movies, I realized A major problem, I do not want to go anywhere else. So if this theater is not showing the movie that I want to see I Will have to wait until the movie comes out on cable. I see myself spending many evening and weekend here at this theater. And look out for the specials on certain nights of the week! read more

This is a brand new theater here in La Quinta (2016) and we are LOVING IT. It's right around the corner from my house. My husband and I are movie fanatics. This theater in particular has a small bar and a great selection of popcorn, snacks and candies to choose from. The seating you can reserve ahead of time and select exactly where you'd like to sit. Love love love this movie theater. Great and fast ticket service but don't come too early because they have certain times you are allowed to go into the actual theater. My movie was at 8 and I couldn't even go in till 8:06 when I went to ask what was going on. Overall I will be back to see more movies here. read more

This is the only movie theatre that we will go to now. I would give them 5 stars if they were consistent with cleanliness, but overall it's not too bad. They have a pretty good variety at the bar, Starbucks is decently prices, popcorn, drinks, candy, nachos and even hot cheetos with nacho cheese sauce. My favorite is that they have the reserved seats and recliners! You can order your tickets ahead of time and arrive 5 minutes before the movie even starts and not even deal with lines and hopes that you will get a seat. In the summer time you tend to stick to the leather seats if they don't have it cooled down enough, but we just bring a children's blanket and sit on those to avoid that. I am curious as to how they clean those seats. I've never seen a clean up crew in there to know how they do it. The one issue with have a bar is someone people don't know how to old their liquor and there's been vomit in the restrooms before and with just one person vomiting the whole bathroom will smell and even carry out to the hallway. The seat do fill up quickly, but at least you know what you are getting with the reserved seats. So far the staff has been nice and friendly. Out of all the times we've been there we've only encountered one issue with a gal when we went to go see Moana. We typically don't bring out daughter, but when we do we've never had to pay for her because she was two. We were unaware that the kids policy had changed to 1 year and the lady gave us a hard time when we didn't have a ticket for our daughter. We would have been fine if she would have just explained to us that children who are 2 and older need a ticket. Our daughter doesn't even take a seat, but you have to pay by the number of heads. So we went and got a ticket and then we saw that she let another kid in for free right before us and you could tell that it was her friends or family by the conversation she was having all the affection she was giving the child. The parents had a ticket each (not the ones of the phone the actual little squares) and she even announced loud enough to where we could hear that they didn't need to worry about a ticket for the kid. When we got up to her I didn't say anything, but she said, "I was going to yell for you to come back and just let you guys go ahead with out the ticket for your child, but I didn't." Not sure why she felt the need to tell us that, because it's like slap in the face kind of comment. Other than that and the vomit in the bathroom we haven't had any other issues. Since the one at the river is now making the changes the keep up with this one who knows we may just switch and start going over there. read more

Let me start by saying I went on a slow Thursday night. Walked in and noticed the staff just looking at you, no one greeted us. The concession stand was a mess, popcorn all over the floor. When it was time to pay the female cashier told me to go to the male cashier across the way. The male cashier didn't greet us, the only words he spoke was the amount we owed for our items. As we walked away (less than 5 steps from the cashier) I hear the male tell the female "why did you send them over here?" Very unprofessional! Oh and when I gave our ticket stubs to the usher, he just have them back to me without directing us to the theater where we needed to go, I had to ask him. The two positives were the HUGE movie screen and the reclining seats. Luckily we chose good seats. Will probably keep going to Rancho 16 where we are greeted and where there is not popcorn all scattered on the floor. read more

I go to this theatre a lot and have encountered for the most part very friendly staff. Yes the wait to get snacks could be shorter but it's never going to be perfect when it's crowded due to it's popularity. The convenience of reserving your seat and the comfort of the chairs is awesome plus I love being able to grab a beer or glass of wine before the movie starts. It's my favorite place to watch a movie and close to my home. Good job Century, keep up the good work. PS, the theatre and the bathrooms have always been clean and well stocked and the temperature inside is perfect. They don't freeze you out like some theaters. read more

I a very it's a very nice movie theater but the same seats and lazy boy chairs tomorrow as well as a butler and a servant to serve you popcorn upper house or or a movie theater maybe it's a restaurant. Without tables I think they should the stick to the old system yeah seats ones that cost $100 to repair at least actually give it a two and a half stars that's my actual rating two and a half stars and if you select your seat but it its ridiculous because you go in and sit wherever you want no one says anything if they do they cannot throw you out for sure if you have a ticket you just say I god this was my seat know where to set Thursday besides that it's a nice theater about little too fancy for my taste read more

Reclining seats don't excuse bathrooms that are filthy. I understand this is a busy theatre but why spend all the money on seating and then neglect the maintence ? Did I mention the whole look is one of lax attention to keeping the place clean ? I'll choose a smaller older theatre that cares about such things. I think the idea must be they believe we only care about state of the art . With such bad cleaning of the rest of the venue I sure as hell wouldn't trust the concession area . read more

First of all, HECK YES RECLINING SEATS! I don't understand why people are complaining about assigned seating.. You're not going to switch seats during the movie, right? No. And yes it is a hassle if you must use the restroom during, but easy fix is TO GO BEFORE THE MOVIE. That way you don't miss a piece of the movie either, ya dig? The rest is usual movie theater stuff. Yes the snacks are expensive but the same as EVERY OTHER Movie theater. You come to this theater for comfort, so yes, I will absolutely pay extra for a comfortable 2 hours. I will suggest purchasing your tickets the night before or the morning that you want to go as 'the good seats' get bought quickly. My only gripe about this theater is that the beginning of the line for the concession stands aren't clearly marked. The signage is very small and in black print, so I found myself starting from the end by accident and then walking through the cocktail lines to get to the beginning. One of the best movie theater experiences I've had in a long time! Reserve the exact seats you want. Order and print your tickets at home. Waltz right into the theater without waiting in line. Pick up your refreshments at your leisure (set up like a cafeteria line, and they have ICEEs and Kettle Corn!) Seats are basically two leather barcoloungers attached together like a loveseat but you can choose whether or not you want to keep the armrest down. Or one person can stay seated straight, while the other can lay back if he/she wants to. Thoughtful design, not only with true stadium seating but if you need to get to your seat and someone has their leg-rest up in his barcolounger, it doesn't block the row aisle and you can still walk by unimpeded. Amazing sound and stunning video quality. We watched Finding Dory and the 3D experience was phenomenal, probably the best 3D experience I've ever had. I brought a little blanket to keep cozy and it was like I had my own private supreme movie theater. The staff are unintrusive but are there if you need them. Definitely coming back. read more

Went to see Spider-Man on opening night. The movie is amazing. The movie theater is not. The presentation is good just like anywhere else. Nothing special. The seats are more comfortable than most, but it's not very clean in there. The staff are a bunch of losers. They're slow as hell and mostly have attitude problems. Wanted to knock out one of the ushers for saying some smart ass remark to one of my friends. I normally see movies at the other Century, but went here because that's where my friends got the tickets. The only reason I'm even giving it two stars is because of the really comfortable seats. The rude staff is what kills this place. read more

They have a great varitey of selection on the menu. Their customer service isn't bad at all. I like the consessions customer service of all! Greeting with a smile is refreshing because it means a great movie we shall see. Okay, so maybe because it's BRAND new and a thousand people haven't beat up its lounges or spilled soda on its floor, keep that in mind...But as of NOW, this place is totally cool. I can't recall another theater in the Desert that has reclining lounges in all of it's theaters. And it's reasonably priced for all that it offers, even matinee and senior prices. But the thing that makes me giddy is, and if you have kids like I do, this is amazing...you can reserve your seats for any movie, even the ones that aren't out in theaters yet! How awesome is that?? Because I can't recall the last time I went to a movie just because I had time to spare...kids will do that to you, consume hours in the day like a rabid vampire! So reserving seats means I don't have to rush and stand in line and even get there exactly when it starts. I love it. read more

Great new movie theatre to open in the Valley. The main attraction is of course the reclining seating, so it almost feels like home. What misses the mark is the lobby layout. It can can get congested and the flow is not right. However, the seats are great for those date night movie visits! read more

I am a frequent visitor to this theater and after this last visit i am disgusted and sad that I don't think I will be returning. At the start of previews I felt something crawling in my hand, sure enough it was a bug! No small ant type bug. It looked more like a bed bug! I thought well maybe it was a mosquito or something and brushed it off! But as the movie started I felt itchiness everywhere and it felt painful! I told my spouse who thought ( bed bugs don't stay in leather seatings) welp, as we left the movie I only got itchier and we left the movie. My husband said it's not worth mentioning to management because they will not do anything. As soon as I got home and took my clothing off, I had red welts of bug bites all over my legs and so did my hubby! I am now writing this post because I thought it should be addressed to the business first, so I did just that. I went into the cinema and asked to speak to a manager, there was no one there. I talked to a supervisor who apologized and stated that has never happened and offered free tickets. I am not after freebies here I want the issue addressed, I want to make sure the next person sitting there does not go through the same thing, and maybe re educate the cleaning crew on how to thoroughly clean their space! After the dude offered was to speak to his regional manager and maybe we can get something going. I would have been satisfied if the gentleman offered to personally check the seats and see if there is an infestation, but no sadly that didn't happen. Well, the seats are amazing. But who the heck designed the space and the concessions? Very small lobby with no bathrooms until you get inside the theater area. Huh? FYI, they let people through. The concessions area is narrow and self serve with what appears to be one entrance line. The line is really for the popcorn so skip it if you just want a soda or a hot dog. You will have to juggle your food while you get your soda. No place to set stuff down. There is space for three cashiers but the area is very narrow and the exit is too close to where they take tickets to get in to the theaters. The condiments and napkin counter is placed where everyone waits to get in to the theater so people are leaning up against it. A really dumb set-up and the designers should really be ashamed. So many rookie mistakes. Been there twice - the seats are amazing and we reserved online with no issues. WARNING: do not sit in the first two rows unless you like looking straight up and not seeing half the screen. Really crappy to put seats that close. If I had reserved in the first two rows I would have demanded my money back. The seats make it worth it but pop in to Traders and get yourself a bag of Movie Time popcorn and snacks to save yourself the hassle of the concession line. read more

This is the best theater I have ever been to. I love the fact that you can reserve your seat online and don't have to stake out a seat 20 minutes early. I don't drink, but they have a bar if that's your thing. The best part is they regularly bring classic movies back to the big screen. I've seen Godfather I and II there, Animal House, To Catch a Thief, Blazing Saddles, and a few more. I love the classic movies. read more

The best deal is $7.00 for the first showing of the day. They have comfortable recliners. Also they are the only theater that has early morning showings. Although they do keep the place chilly with the A/C turned up high. read more

Secret life of pets , assigned seating , reclining seats iam a regular here movie theater is always clean love it

So I recently took my 6 year old to Wonder Woman. I have never been to this theatre before I usual go to the one in rancho mirage. About 5 minutes into the movies the kids behind us were talking loudly - i got past that, they are kids - I was a kid once too. What I couldn't get past was the older woman sitting beside me cheering and clapping and screaming. There were times I couldn't even hear the movie. Half way through my daughter told me she wants to go to the other place we go to because she couldn't hear. read more

This theater is the most comfortable in the valley therefore it has been my to go movie place for a lazy sunday or during a cool movie premiere, but my last experience at the theater was very disappointing, I asked for nachos and I noticed it came with a little side of cheese - and we all know cheese nachos are great with A LOT of yummy cheese- so I asked the guy to pour some of the cheese they use on their Cheetos and to charge me for it, he said he didn't see a problem, he then comes back and tells me his manager told him he couldn't do it because it was going to mess up his inventory . Anyways... i was disappointed the manager wasn't willing to sell me a side of cheese. We didn't end up getting the beers or goodies; Is always important to cater to the customer read more

I have written very few reviews. However, this one deems worthy. Today on a whim my daughter and I decided to have a mommy/daughter date to the movies. We were running kinda late to the movie we wanted to see. However, we didn't want to wait for the following showing. So, we bought tickets to the 1:45pm showing. SHELBY helped us with the transaction. Later, SHELBY went back into our theater to find us. She said someone purchased the next showing and didn't want the tickets after all. So, she gave us free tickets to the next showing to catch up on anything we missed. She was so sweet to go out of her way. I wanted to pay her some kudos. We will most definitely be back :). read more
