It's really pretty inside and seemed super clean but the service made our experience a little less than great. They didn't give us all the food we ordered and not only that, the woman kinda judged how much food I selected on my sheet. They also put the gratuity on for our check for a price fix for two people, which I found odd. Totally fine, just screws them because I generally tip 20% even on bad service soooo. Then the lady proceeded to count out our cash ON the table while we were packing up to go. Just weird. Not planning on going back to this one. read more

Ate at Cinnabar last night and it did not disappoint. We ordered a variety of items on the menu that were fresh flavorful and satisfying. We started with crispy rice and shrimp dumplings. We split entrees of sushi rolls, porterhouse steak and dandan noodles. The noodles are a must order! The ambiance was good, service was excellent and we went early so it wasn't super crowded. This place had a great vibe in the winter and I needed to go back. This time maybe just because it was summer it was more calm and regular asian restaurant, but still good food. One note is they recommend you share all different plates, but they were not clearing anything, which was then a huge deterrent to want to order more food and even return in the future. The waiters/waitresses had plenty of free hands and really needed to clear off the tables. Who wants to eat with a bunch of dirty plates everywhere? Had high hopes for the place from its beautiful decor, but honestly the food was just alright. Expensive and limited menu with cheaper options, but it's not flavorful and the dishes don't stand out. The lychee shrimp appetizers were cute and good, and the pickled radishes they give in the beginning are to die for, but the entrees weren't worth it. Drinks were fine. Service was good though; the waitress was sweet but the food did take a while to come out and we didn't get checked up on enough. (P.s. things like the General Tso's chicken does not come with rice. We really loved our evening here. I brought my teenage daughter and a bunch of friends to celebrate her birthday. The atmosphere is really cool, the food was excellent and the service was the best. The waiter was so helpful and assisted in ordering just the right amount of food for the table so that it wasn't too much or too little. From start to finish, everyone was so accommodating. My sister and I sat at the bar where we ordered a sampler platter that was good for 2 or 3 people. We got to taste so many different dishes and plan to order a lot of dumplings upon returning. OMG- absolutely amazing!!!! I have NEVER been to a restaurant and enjoyed EVERYTHING my husband and I ordered. I cannot wait to come back. My new favorite restaurant and will be recommending everyone this place. If we had to critique anything about our dishes, I would have wanted a few big shrimp instead of a lot of tiny shrimp in the rocks shrimp appetizer but the flavor was still delicious. Was very excited to try this new AYCE sushi, hibachi and Cajun seafood restaurant. Sadly , I was very disappointed with the temperature of the food , portion size and service. Our server ( the man with the bun) was all over the restaurant , frequently leaving us for long periods of time. He was not attentive . We had to wave down other servers for drinks refills and new menus. He did however manage to advertently make snarky expressions when we asked to place another order of food in. Im not paying to be judged. He needs to learn some serious serving etiquette. The amount of seafood was very minimal. Very disappointing. I've paid less for more than what Cinnabar is serving patrons. The temperature on the appetizers was lukewarm as if they had been sitting under a heating lamp. They have it posted on the AYCE menu that a gratuity of 18% will be added to parties of 4 or more but there is no posting that 15% is added to parties of 3. I feel like our server did not deserve 15% gratuity. This place was better when it was Ben's Crab. I will say this, the sushi was fantastic and fresh. The AYCE menu does not reflect all the sushi that they serve but then again all the sushi options may not be apart of the AYCE. Was looking for a local happy hour and found this place unfortunately by the time I got there but quickly learned they have 2 happy hour times 4pm-6pm and 9pm to close . I arrived at about 630 and was warmly greeted by the Bartender..I sat at the bar and wasn't sure what to drink but saw a drink with gin lemon juice egg white and honey was delicious. I got to know the Bartender China and ended up there till 9pm I ordered the spicy edamame that was so good . They have an appetizer called seafood bon bon wow!!!! If you like raw seafood this is the best. I also had the bluefin toro and caviar cute presentation. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was above and beyond. Ambiance: The place looked super cool on the outside and inside. The doors were really high. When you go to the bathroom there is a 'beaded' curtain which was fun. The ceiling had a marble print which was classy as well as the back of the sushi bar which had an array of teapots. Food: Everything was pretty good. The popcorn chicken was a home run - we weren't going to get it because I mean chicken is chicken but boy, are we happy we got it. Japanese popcorn chicken is always yummy. My best friend and I went to try the reorganized and reopened Cinnabar, which was pretty good. The Chinese-Japanese Fusion restaurant looked good, and the dishes tonight were quite fresh. Stopped into Cinnabar after work today (19 October) I was very impressed by the ambience, general setting, and design of the establishment as I walked in. The parking was very adequate and the exterior is very nice too, but the interior totally captivated as I walked through the door. Upon my arrival, I was greeted immediately by the hostess, who informed me that they were only doing a soft open today for family and friends. Despite this unfortunate news I was given the option to place a to-go order and I was also met by the owner. The owner explained that they would be open for full business starting tomorrow (20 October), but that he was very happy that I came down. I was also offered a full tour of the establishment. The hostess was extremely professional and friendly, and I placed a to-go order for Chicken Lo Mein, spring rolls, and Miso soup and I was not disappointed. The order was well packaged and my wait was not long. The spring rolls were not your typical frozen spring rolls- these were gourmet hand made and definitely tasty! The miso was great and to my surprise it had a couple of little clams in it! The Lo Mein was very well proportioned and also very tasty. All in all, I felt like I received an honest 5 star service. This definitely isn't your traditional dine-in/take out! Right from the minute the hostess greeted me to the time that I finished the last bite, I felt it was worth it to post this review so that I could recommend Cinnabar to friends and family for a good dining experience! read more

DO NOT EAT HERE! FIRST TIME EVER GETTING UP AND LEAVING A RESTAURANT DURING THE MEAL! We waited 20 minutes for our table (which normally we would never be bothered by) but the restaurant had probably 15-20 open tables... we chalked it up to them possibly being short staffed and kept an open mind. Our first waitress attempted to fill our glasses with water but proceeded to miss each cup and pour water all over the table and floor to the extent there was a literal puddle next to our table. Maybe it was her first day or she was nervous? Again, our minds were still open. New waiter introduces himself and we ask him about happy hour drink options. He tells us the lychee martini is the only happy hour drink (even though their instagram shows a list of 10+ drink options and appetizers). My friend agrees to the lychee martini and the waiter says "we're all out of those"... LIKE WHAT?! Why did you even offer that as an option then?! We each opt for a glass of wine instead, and two appetizers to share. Both appetizers we wanted were "sold out" (mind you it's only 6:00 pm) so we chose two backup options (pork and chive dumplings and popcorn chicken). When our glasses of wine arrive they have lipstick marks on the rim and are covered in thumb prints, and one was actually dripping wet absolutely soaked with water pooling in the bottom. We ask for clean glasses and one was still dirty even after being replaced. The dumplings came out first and they honestly tasted like they were from the trader joe's freezer section. We asked for forks as an alternative to chopsticks and they arrived DIRTY WITH DRIED RICE STUCK TO THEM. Very clearly were not washed. DISGUSTING IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT. Our second appetizer (popcorn chicken) is placed down on the table and it looks raw and like they poured panko straight out of the can onto the chicken without baking/frying it? After the dirty forks our appetites were shot, and just looking at that chicken was the icing on the cake. We asked the hostess if we could speak to a manager because we'd like to leave. The hostess said there's no manager present but she'd "try to find someone". She proceeds to ignore us, and avoid making eye contact with us (and clearly not look for anyone in charge) for 15 minutes. We stopped her again and re-iterated that we wanted to leave and would like to pay the bill or speak to someone in charge immediately. She said she could give us new forks but there was nothing else she could do and she WALKED AWAY MID CONVERSATION! We left cash on the table and hit the road. On our way out we actually passed a commotion at the hostess stand where there were more dissatisfied customers voices their complaints! Some other things to note: All of their menus have "PROOF ONLY" on them which means they didn't pay for the final versions. Super shady if you ask me. They do not have a website, only social media which is another red flag. Additionally their food on social media looks absolutely nothing like what was served to us or tables around us. Don't believe everything you see on Instagram! After this experience I read through some comments on their reels and posts and saw previous customers stating they got salmonella/ill after dining there. I'm SO glad we only had a frozen dumpling! Overall the most disappointing dining experience I've ever had. I suspect they'll be shut down soon. read more

Great new spot in Massapequa for Chinese food, if you're in the area it's worth the trip. They have very good sushi and a full bar. The vibe is elegant and beautiful. The overall experience was amazing . The staff was super welcoming and attentive whenever we needed something. The décor was amazing, it features unique artwork with a warmer lighting, it's perfect for anyone trying to get some amazing photos. I recommend getting "Seared bluefin tuna salad", "The shrimp with salted duck yolk" and the "Sashimi set". The salad was refreshing, the fried taro gave it a light crunch and a bit of savory without adding any oily feeling. The shrimp has the skin still on so for anyone that like eating the shrimp with skin on, it's perfect for you. As for the sashimi set, there's not much to say, it's comes with many types of sashimi (ex: salmon, octopus, and etc) but I still recommend it because you can tell it's amazing quality & fresh and most importantly delicious.
